Finally. The call was made that Hillary has won Ohio. Why did it take this long? Looks suspicious for CNN, even with John King's etch-a-sketch explanations of demographics, etc. The margin of her lead was considerable as reported for a lengthy time. Even with outstanding votes considered, a lead of this magnitude has held as results come in.
So, was CNN dragging this out to make a better story? It's a little obvious, even though Ohio was just called for Hillary.

Soooooooo maybe we have to wait a little longer for Hillary to be booted out of the race...... after she throws the rest of sinks and lumber and what ever else her campaign can dig up to throw. But...eventually, Sen Obama will still be our nominee. No one said CHANGE would be easy.

So far as the candidates go, this is about the line I am seeing all mud slinging aside.

The "phenomina" that is Obama is based on the younger generations urge to avoid if not remove old politics. By old politics I am referring to people so removed and so envelope inside the governmental system they make statements like "I wasn't aware that gas prices are expected to go up to near four dollars." Any common man or women could have told you that as is.

On the other side Hillary during her campaign has had more personality switches than a Schitzophrenic Patient. That is her biggest loss in this. Had she kept a finite and defined message this race would be no contest. Frankly Memos, mud slinging, insults, and etc. will have no baring on the end, in fact the race is pretty much over.

What you Democrats have to decide is based on what you have seen, who will better represent your party. Ignore the clout for a second, view their plans for this nation, then decide. Until then, beyond the above is band wagon bantering.

I CAN NOT VOTE in the General Election for Hillary.. She has played a very dirty game. She is a true disgrace to all Democrats. She truly believes that she can do ANYTHING to win!!! Is that what we want as President of the US?? That's what we have NOW in the White House. I thought the Democrats wanted something better than George Bush?? Someone with honor, someone that believed the country could do better, someone that wanted to restore the image of America. Hillary CAN NOT do that!!! I can't vote for McCain.. he too is the same old stuff as Bush. SO... I just can't vote!!! I think a lot of people feel exactly as I do. Without Obama, we HAVE NO VOTE!!!

Hillary's campaigning in the last two weeks has been full of gross distortions, innuendo, and attack. It rivals what George W. Bush and Karl Rove did to John McCain in South Carolina in 2000. I hope the voters in Ohio and Texas reject her reprehensible tactics. She is a woman with one particular point of excellence -- tearing down her enemies with baseless attacks. It's no coincidence that SNL weighed in on her behalf -- SNL is directed by Tina Fey, the force behind "Mean Girls."

I am not old, nor am I uninformed. What seems uninformed is this blind loyalty people are showing for a fluffy speaker with no substance. It's easy to take a stance against something, but harder to come up with a plan to do something about it. Just look at how many people sit in the lunchroom and complain about the boss, but couldn't possibly do it any better. Those people have no solutions and to me, that's part of the problem.
Come on democrats! Why are so many Obama supporters, so disrespectful of Hillary! Take time to read her resume. Count how many times she has taken a stance not just against a problem, but for a solution. No body has all the right solutions. It's hard to come up to the plate night in and night out and bat over .350. If you don't step up to the plate, you'll never strike out, but you'll still have a .000 average at the end of the season. To me, that's the only thing I've seen so far from Obama. He sits in the dugout and points out when others strike out. We all know lot's of people just like that. Ask yourself, do you want one of those people to be the leader of your party...much less, leader of the Free World.
Let's hope Hillary hangs in, and Florida and Michigan get their rights recognized. I like Obama, and I think he has potentiaI, I'm just afraid of having another 4 years of a learning curve.

Well here is the bottom line. If Hillary does win the nomination, she will never beat Mcain. If she wins the nomination, many Democrats, like myself will probably give their vote to Mcain. This will be especially true if it gets down to the superdelegates, and she wins it. That is not talk...it is fact.

Obama isn't doing so well tonight because of HIM, not because of Hillary, the media, or McCain. It's reasonable that the media, and his opponents, are beginning to take a closer look at him; after all, he is "interviewing" for the most important job in America. It's not the media's or Hillary's fault Obama got involved with Rezko, and it's not their fault that his guy spoke to Canadian officials. Perhaps Obama supporters don't care about any of these issues; however, the rest of America has a right know. I have some news that might surprise everyone: Obama is a typical politician - no different than Hillary or McCain (they each say whatever they have to say to get elected)! The audacity of truth!

To A -
Slowness in Ohio reporting could be *ahem* because they just switched to paper ballots for the first time in a while? I betcha some precincts weren't counting as the votes came in, but will count now that polls have closed. It takes time, especially in densely populated areas for them to finish. Notice how the precincts who ARE reporting are actually in suburban/rural areas?
Peace

I am a Clinton supporter. She needs to finish strong, but, sadly, she does need to finish. I love the Clintons, but I also love the Democratic Principals, and those are what I prize more than my individual preferences. Let's move forward, and as a democratic party- take the Presidency!

Obama/Clinton 08! (It's still history)

Dear A--

(Im thinking of what that A stands for...)

We have had ice storms all day long in Ohio. If you read the news, you'd see that is the reason why the results are delayed.

It's all a grand conspiracy-- yeah, the weather. Duh.

Cheryl, you can say what you like about Florida, but Michigan, my home, my blood, voted within 5 pts. for "Non-Commited". With campaigning Obama would have won here. But he did the right thing in pulling his name from the ballot here, as did Edwards. Mrs. Clinton (stop with the miss stuff, folks, she's married) saw fit to take any win she could by going against the DNC's wishes. This speaks volumes.

The biggest difference, folks: Obama listens to other people. They're all lying, powermongering idiots, but at least someone is now listening.

Obama will win TX, and would have won OH if Clintonites had not stolen Senior Citizens information and mailed in early vote ballots.
I noticed that Bill indicated that late voters broke for Clinton, is this an attempt to try to call TX for her also? She should be ashamed, but Shrill has no shame. Even some of her aides in TX is complaining how unorganized her campaign is.

Stick a fork in her, she's done!

I'm 15 years old and i live in the State of Illinois. In 2002 Obama ran his Senate Campaign "Change for Illinois". The only change he has brought to Illinois is for the City of Chicago. He has visited Southern Illinois once in four years and fails to see the economic troubles in Southern Illinois. This is a shame that he can't even bring change for the state of Illinois. So how can you people possibly expect him to bring change to the entire country.

If I could vote, my vote would be for Hillary. She keeps things realistic and actually knows what she is talking about.

OK--
lets look at the names and what they are saying. Women are going to put Hillary in the forefront. Even in these blogs... women are NASTY (mood swinging just like Hillary Nasty about Barack). Reverse sexism is just as bad as sexism.
A polarizing lighning rod like Clinton and her desire to stay in (although she will never catch up to the delegates Obama has) is the ultimate height of ego. I loved Bill Clinton-- I like Hillary I hate the divisive techniques she has used to make sure her ego is more important than the democratic party---
I may never vote for her if she does manage to wring her way to the nomination.

Excuse me,can someone tell me why Ohio's results are so slow in coming and why no one is questioning this? Could it be that the governor is holding back results in an attempt to influence Texas which is still voting? We all know that there have been irregularities in Ohio in the past. The governor has a lot at stake here. Why oh why isn't someone questioning this. There is no reason for the slowness of result reporting other than some strategic purpose.

Barack Obama. He is such a welcome change, and has an air of competence about him. He will end payback nominations and other accepted political practices that do not benefit us, the people they are supposed to represent. He will, as I am sure you are aware, be under the most intense scrutiny ever faced by a candidate before he takes the oath of office as President. We don't need a dual presidency, yet Bill appears to have "implied in campaigning for Hillary and using the pronoun "we" intentionally that it's "them" you would get. No more Corporate Clintons, no more disastrous plans like NAFTA to help big business reap more profits. How would Hillary get anyone to agree with her on her mandatory health care plan, or any other hidden agenda she is entertaining. Do you think I don't trust her? You bet I don't. America is broken, and the Clintons helped get us there with NAFTA, free trade , China, outsourcing. How often do you see "made in USA" on anything you purchase. We are the losers in this trade deal. We borrow money from China to fight in Iraq. How long before China uses some of their military might against us or other nations. Right now we are helpless to defend ourselves or any other country in need. The Clintons had a chance to stop Osama bin Laden, but were too busy with their hidden agendas actively and persistently pursue osama bin Laden. This "war on terrorism" may have been conceived of by Bush, but Bush wouldn't have had an excuse if the attacks on 9/11 had been averted. The plan for the attacks had already begun to take shape during the Clinton years. Unfortunately, the warning signs were ignored, and the invasion of Iraq has become a horrific shame to this country. The cost in lives will never be fully verified, and the horrors of this war will continue to haunt us for years to come. We have saddled our grandchildren with a never-ending debt. Hillary voted for this war, possibly because she did not want to risk being regarded as weak, and that concept would not be good for her goal of becoming POTUS. Barack Obama cautioned against this war, said it was a bad idea. Barack Obama is highly intelligent, has integrity and the ability to listen to others and solve their problems. Hillary hides behind a mask, and she has one goal she is determined to attain at any cost. She trades on the Clinton name but won't accept any of the Clinton blame. She has a powerful political machine behind her. I hope Hillary's supporters pay more attention to her "experience", and reconsider. This is not the right woman to elect as First Woman President. This "First Lady" had her chance, and blew it. Vote for Barack Obama, let's bring back the pride we once could boast about...simply put, I am an American! YES WE CAN.

Bob had to get those "lost ballot boxes" out of the snow bank.

Folks, it's all about the math. There is no way Hillary can catch up, even if she wins both Texas and Ohio. Do the math, please. It's time for her to gracefully bow out, for the good of the party and of the country.
