while i stood in line to caucus i heard several people laughing and bragging that they were not checking names off to see if people caucusing had voted that day. i even heard one lady call a friend and tell them to come caucus .
the whole ordeal was very confusing at precinct 1294 in tarrant county. i told an election employee of what i had heard, the told me they would check every name with a log of voters for the day.
I don't see how 3 election workers are going to check several hundred names hand written on paper lists against master voting lists in a few hours.

Voting in my precint ran two hours after the polls closed, and our caucus did not get underway until 9:00. I was tired from standing so long, and my wife had to leave before the caucus to get my daughter in bed. I think I have as much right to complain as anybody about the caucus, but I will not. Myself and my fellow Obama supporters stood in the same line as the Clinton supporters, so I don't see where she gets off complaining about caucuses. Is she admitting that her supporters are less likely to weather any adversity on behalf of their candidate? Personally, I think the discussion signifies the great devide in this campaign: Clinton supporters want to put someone in the white house who will work hard for them so they can sit back and soak in the improvements for the next four years. Obama supporters are willing to step up to the plate and unite behind their candidate and work together with him for the next four years to change the status quo in politics and make this country better.

Here's a question I would like answered on the air:
I see that that the vote count in Texas is 50% for Clinton and 48 for Obama. Who's receiving the remaining 2%? Mike Gravel's officially still in the race (cnn NEVER mentions him, by the way). If Gravel's receiving that 2%, those are votes that would likely go to Obama if he left the race, enough to possible put Obama in the lead. I think many Americans wonder about this issue. Where's that remaining 2%????

We live in one of the most sophisticated countries in the world and it is so ridiculous that we have such an archaic voting process. I actually had to sign my name and presidential nominee on notebook paper. This system definitely needs to change. It is so unorganized that it leaves plenty of room for error. Now I understand how Bush got away with it in 2000.

This issue effects both candidates and who ever is complaining about it doesn't matter. It's a problem for all involved. Trashing one candidate over the other is a waste of time.

You think the Texas caucuses are having trouble? Consider my state of Florida. I have been totally disenfranchised by a party calling itself "democratic!" I am a Hillary Clinton supporter whose vote won't even count. If that isn't undemocratic, nothing is. I am outraged beyond words. I am even considering a protest vote for McCain if Obama is the democratic candidate.

The process in Texas is archaic. Both Obama and Clinton supporters were leaving the precinct office after signing into the caucus. They were told they could leave after signing in, but were not informed very clearly of what would occur after the count of the caucus.

In the case of Clinton, there were people leaving after signing in, and the results rendered her 16 delegates, which means she has 16 delegates AND 16 alternatives. Though over a hundred people turned out for her, there were exactly 32 people still in the room. Had any more of them left, there would have been a deficient count of alternatives.

People do not understand the process. In waiting between my afternoon vote and the evening caucus, we drove around the district to do various errands, and asked, "did you vote"? So many said yes they had voted, but couldn't caucus.

When the system is stacked against voters it isn't serving them.

And those who wish to respond that Clinton's camp is crying fowl, need to consider that it would be the same if Obama was unable to seat all the delegates he won because his followers weren't informed.

Texas is a dinosaur in politics and must be upgraded.

This is a sad night for Democracy. Our people have learned a very solemn lesson tonight. When policies and issues are pushed aside and replaced with negativity, campaigns can be won. It devastates me to know that Obama had every opportunity to contradict her smears and chose to take the high road in an attempt to bring integrity to politics. Now Mrs. Clinton is aware of what it will take to win: lies and negative, false attacks, leaks to media and propaganda. As I sit here listening to her give a speech that sounds eeerily as though she has just accepted her party's nomination all the while sprinkling it with bursts of "YES WE WILL"... it has made me come to a decision that I truly didn't think I would come to.

If she wins, I'll take my chances with McCain for four years and pray she has destroyed her own political career by then.

I think the Canadian NAFTA issue hurt Obama in Ohio. I am a Obama Supporter and I was disappointed about the Canadian issue. I definitely believe Obama wasn't involved in any of the statements his adviser made to the Canadians. I was expecting him to FIRE the advisor and rebuild the confidence I had on Obama. But that didn't happen. I live in PA and I will still vote for Obama.

I think there is a problem with the caucuses too. I also think it's a problem that Florida and Michigan's primaries did not count. It wasn't the Democrats' fault in those states that their votes didn't count toward delegates. The state government decided that for us! Hillary SHOULD complain about those votes not being counted. I am a Floridian and voted in the Democratic primary (for Hillary). There was just a news story on tonight (locally) about how the losing candidate in Florida is actually the winner! Because our votes for Hillary didn't count, Obama is leading. If Hillary had our votes, she would be behind!
