Here's part of an article on NY Times today (part of the conversation with Obama's sister in Kenya). Obama can't even remember his first meeting with her. Or it could be that he changed it to look better in his book.

Strangely, Obama places his pivotal first meeting with Auma at a Chicago airport rather than the Greyhound terminal, where she says it happened.

“I pulled into the airport parking lot at a quarter past three and ran to the terminal as fast as I could,” Obama writes in “Dreams.” He goes on: “Panting for breath, I spun around several times, my eyes scanning the crowd of Indians, Germans, Poles, Thais and Czechs gathering their luggage.” Then he sees “an African woman emerging from behind the customs gate.”

This appears to be one of the “lapses of memory” for which he excuses himself in the introduction. I’m not sure how a bus station morphs into an airport “at a quarter past three,” but I’ll excuse him; the courage and intellectual honesty with which he quested for often painful memory are singular. “He can be trusted,” says Auma, “to be in dialogue with the world.”

Let me ask this question of all you:

when all is said and done, and we have a democratic nominee:

if it's Obama, will all of the negative Obama supporters here be welcoming the former Clinton supporters to rally around the candidate or will they still be too uneducated, too corrupt, too blind to the "truth" to be welcomed as part of the Democratic party?

and if it's Clinton, will all of the negative Clinton supporters here be able to find common ground with the Obama supporters or will the Obama supporters be too blinded by the rock star status, too full of hope and short on experience to unite with?

when will the members of our party quit blaming the CANDIDATES and start taking responsibility for their own divisive actions, their own hate mongering and negativity and unite THEMSELVES? The candidates are going to continue with the back and forth. That's the point of the campaign process. But when will the members of the party drop their stereotypes and their hang ups and come together?

The caucus in Texas is a big ripoff. In my precinct, no-one even bothered to check our cards to see if we had voted in the Primary. They just said, "Fill this form out, write in your registration number and sign it". The votes were counted by Obama people. If this happened in other precincts and other states, I can see why Obama wins in caucus states! I wouldn't brag about underhanded deals.

Why is it, that you Billary supporters are forgetting that it wasn't even suppose to be competitive in OH or TX...she had a 20% lead and lets not forget, a few republicans voted for her, just to slow Barack down.

And once the caucus vote is complete in TX, it will be Barack that really comes out on top....and why won't she us her tax returns??

Oh yeah, CNN...why aren't reporting in the headlines that it was the Clinton campaign that contacted Canada about NAFTA...you guys really have been hoodwinked by Hillary's whining!!

Proud to be a small part of that number :)

I love how people point out she won TX & OH, he had been down by something like 20 points to her in the weeks leading up to the primary and managed to close that gap. They also forget to mention the Barack WON lots of states in February; VT, WI, MD, VA, DC, SC, ME, LA, HI, GA, WA. In all he has won 27 of the 41 contests so far, the means she has only won 14. His lead is pretty much insurmountable and she should really consider stepping aside for the good of the party.

Curiou observation how the media is trying to make the connection of how negative press toward Mr. Obama could have made an impact in the elections on March 4th, but still fail to go further to the connection of how they've affected the perception of Hillary and her campaign over the last 3 months with a constant barrage of negative media toward her.

What is equally as strange is how now it is accepted/encouraged by the media and seems to be the strategy when Mr. Obama goes negative in his campaign, which they and the media have been very critical of Hillary for supposedly doing.

She won 3 states and is still behind 150+ delegates. The only way she can win is if the super delegates overwhelmingly go for her. She's done with and is in it just for herself, not the democratic party, now. You are all mentioning he lost 3 out of 4 yet fail to notice he was down 20+% just two weeks ago. Ohio and Texas favored Hillary big time with the large Hispanic and low-income families. Everyone also seems to forget he won the 13 prior contests by an average of 17%. Stick a fork in her.

Why are people dogging Obama because he lost 2 states? Remember he previously won what 11 in a row. What is said is that Hillary had to use her own money to fund her campaign. Experience is nothing if it has led us to the Iraq war.

I'm Obama's age, and I'm a little sick of her belittling MY 24 years of experience in my career. That's a big reason why she is losing and losing BIG among those under 50. Her entire experience is from getting Bill or herself elected. That's a pretty narrow life-focus to consider herself qualified to be President.

Jorge from upthread you make an excellent point! Not to mention that all the Huckster supporters will not roll out and vote for McCain in November UNLESS Hillary is on the ticket so that they can vote against her. Why doesn't the HRC camp see this? Obama appeals to republicans and independents. Ohio was a small setback but folks in Ohio are set in their ways if you know what I mean. Ohio's the state that pushed George W. Bush over the top in the presidential election. GO OBAMA!

I guess we should all hope that Obama and Clinton talk about joining forces... If they do not neither one of them has a chance to win in November... If you read all of your comments it seems that all of you keep "saying" you will not vote for the democratic candidate whoever it is... you call yourself a democrat???

I can not believe that the man that is running on change and talking about unity... is not even willing to talk about uniting the party... if Hillary is so horrible why did she all ready throw it out there... maybe she has come to the conclusion that neither one of them will win enough delegates... If you do the numbers they will end up within a few delegates of each other...

Democratic party has a mess that they created... they need to sort this out before half of you revolt... the half that supports Clinton or the half that supports Obama...

CNN, you had a lot to do with it. Are you still campaigning for him or are you trying to get back to be neutral as you supposed to be. I came back after few weeks of boycotting you just to see where you're standing after your (CNN and Obama) lose last Tuesday. You forced me to watch FOX news, which I hated for years, instead. Please report the real issues instead of campaigning for your candidate (Obama) and let me watch your news (which used to be my favorite news channel).

I hate to tell all the Pro Clinton supporters this but.... Obama actually won Texas.

Simple math people. Add Obama's deligates from the Texas Primary + Caucus and that number is greater than what Hillary had in Texas with both the primary and Caucus.

Not sure where Hillary's money is really going because if you look at the two candidates and the distribution of the "Popular Vote":

Obama has won 14 states already with 60% or more of the "Popular Vote" in these states: (MD, IL, GA, DC, VA, WA,HI, NE, MN, AK, ID, KS, ND, and CO)

Versus

Hillary has only won 1 state with 60% or more of the "Popular Vote" in this state: Arkansas (only).

The hysterics raised by the Omamafia have contributed to him raising record amounts of money - yet he is still managing to lose despite pounding the public with ads touting 'change, hope, future, vision'. Haven't any of you ever noted that he does not say things first - he says them AFTER others say them, or only RESPONDS to what others say.... he is not a leader, folks. He is the type of person that would be merely a figurehead. That's not what we need when we are in such crisis as a country. WE NEED LEADERSHIP. Can't any of you read body language? He is a HUGE megalomaniac... haven't you watched him BASK in the applause? Well, those of you who feel he should not worry... watch his body language during his speech after losing Ohio... he was ANGRY. He did not expect to lose, and he took it very badly. My family has lived in this country, fought for this country, died for this country. My husband is currently stationed in Iraq - his second over one year tour in the last few years. (This one is 15 months total.) We remember the Clinton years... and we are BOTH voting Clinton, no matter what - as is every single member of our rather large military families.

This clearly shows who the people want to be the democratic nominee. It's so sad to see that the only reason why Hillary one Texas & Ohio is because she used scare tactics & double talked her way through every position.

I seriously hope Obama wins every primary from here on out.

NO MORE HILLARY (sorry, felt like I had to use caps since all the Hillary supporters have done so previously)

The numbers are still in Barack's favor. Hillary needs to maintain a 56% minimum win rate in every remaining primary to erase her delegate deficit, while Barack only needs to maintain 46% to keep hios advantage. In other words, he could lose every primary from now until the convention by 4% or less and he'd still be #1 going into the convention.

Hello all you Hillary supporters, last time I checked the delegate count Obama was ahead. Hillary would have to basically win all the remaining states by extremely large margins to obtain the lead and that isn't likely to happen, so GO OBAMA!

I'm with you KLM Hillary has truly lost my support from her crying who got what pillows from the media, who gets the first question, black folks and Irs fillings. I'm a registered republican and have voted that way since I was 18, except for Bush's 2000 stealection (smile), but I'm voting for Obama this go around because the man has substance and character and desire to implement change with the help of the American people and thats the kind of leadership we need Simple and Plain. And isnt it Ironic that a man who can bring america together is of a mixed heritage that says something about America, speaks to what we really stand for here.

Obama 08 ..........Si Se Puede "Yes we can"

And how many people in the US are starving and homeless and people hate giving them handovers?? If individuals have that much to donate, why are so many crying about the economy. Maybe the money's not coming from individuals???

Hillary Clinton shut down Obama's momentum this week. It appears that Obama is finding it difficult to get a grip on his campaign.

Obama is short of realizing that it is not possible for him to secure enough delagates to win the Democrat nomination.

Obama tries his best to "up one" on Clinton, but fails to acknowledge that the Republicans did not "whisper" as he previosly bosted about.

Obama has many questions that still need answering, such as: What has Obama done while in Senate to bring Democrats and Republicans together?

Dear Hillary Clinton supporters,
while you were out (this past month), you failed to notice a substantial deficit in the delegate count. That being said, now would be a good time to return from vacation back to reality.

Gracias

"So how much did Oprah contribute to that?"

Oprah can only give as much as the rest of us can. Being on TV does not somehow entitle you go contribute more than someone else. The most she could have given was $2300 for the primary...I guess the other $54,997,700 must have come from someone else.

Contributions are in the public record. If you really want to know, look it up.

Unlike Clinton, Obama does not take money from lobbyists. How about you ask Clinton how much of her money came from them?

How about you ask Clinton to release her tax returns? Aren't you curious where she got the $5 million she lent to her campaign?

Money can only get you so far Sen. Obama. As Ohio goes, the nation goes!

Rod: LMAO…"Hillary pretty must lost TX and Ohio, winning nearly is not even a win?"

I guess the giants didn't really win the superbowl then?

I can't believe CNN actually posted something like this. This is just one piece of evidence of the blindness and stupidity of some Obama supporters.

How fast everyone forgets that Hillary lost 12 in a row. He lost three states and not by much. Even with the big states that she won, Obama is still whipping her behind with the wins from the smaller states.

All you Hillary folks need to realize that Tuesday was the "Beginning of The End" for her campaign. After all the delegates were counted, Obama WON Texas, and will win both WY and MS this week.

There are not enough delegates left on the table for Clinton to make up the difference. I hope you enjoyed the party Tuesday, though.
