Clinton campaign raises $3 million in a day

Clinton's campaign said it raised $3 million in the day after its string of victories.

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton’s campaign has raised $3 million online since her string of victories Tuesday night, an aide said Thursday.

Since lending her campaign $5 million shortly before the February 5 Super Tuesday contests, Clinton’s fundraising fortunes have improved considerably, though Barack Obama’s campaign has continued to outspend her.

Donations to Clinton’s campaign climbed from $14 million in January to roughly $35 million in February. Obama’s campaign raised $36 million in January, and has not yet released its February fundraising numbers. His advisers have said only that the total is “considerably higher” than Clinton’s.

The New York senator won three out of four Democratic primaries Tuesday night, beating Obama in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island. Obama claimed a victory in Vermont.

1:00 p.m. UPDATE: Clinton's campaign announced it has raised $4 million since Tuesday's contests and $6 million in the month of March.

  1. OBAMA!!!

Hillary counts her extrememly narrow win in Texas as a comeback. please. I wish she would sit down and shut up and let Obama take charge in uniting this party. Otherwise we are going to be stuck with another idiot as preseident and republican ideology.

Blah March 6th, 2008 11:48 am ET states that Clinton has until April 15th to release her income tax return and why can't Obama give his campaign figures for February yet? Blah's big mistake is that the tax returns in question are 2006 - they were due April 15, 2007. Most people realize that this year is 2008. Why is she hiding her returns that already exist? How hard is it to Xerox 2007's returns and present them for public scrutiny?

Ron Paul raised 6 mill in one day. Hopefully our country of sheeple will wake up at some point and realize socialism is very close. You Obama and Clinton supporters should do some research on the Council on Foreign Relations which Obama, Clinton, and McCain are members of. I hope you Dem's get your global government elitists. Bye, bye Republic, hello Democracy.

The math says that Obama can't win either. Neither Clinton or Obama will have enough delegates to secure the nomination without some sort of compromise being struck by the Party. Some people will have to switch...Obama will likely have more delegates but he won't have enough to win. If Clinton has roughly the same number of delegates, and hers are from states that are likely to be more critical in the General Election, then she will have some power in making the final decision of who should be at the top of the Democratic ticket and what should be the platform priorities. She is not splitting the party anymore than he is–they are both trying to win because each think s/he's better for president. Geez. Be rational.

Go and look at the delegates

Obama supporters will never let her become the President if she cheats and becomes the nominee because of superdelegates

Obama is young- he can still run next term..But as for me and my friends here in NYC (Dem state)- we will make sure we will do everything to make McCain our next President
    Loss is always Hillary's

Obama won Texas with ALL of the votes counted, including the caucuses. He received a 3-7 delegate margin of victory. It would be nice if the MSM would wait until the voting process is finished instead of rushing to push headlines. Oh wait...

Also, research the NAFTA story by the GlobeandMail in Canada. This could boomerang big time on Hillary.

Sorry Ohio voters, but you bought here NAFTA fake story hook, line and sinker.

CNN – please post this. For as many as I have posted, I deserve to get at least a few actually appear and stay.

Let me first say, I am a supporter of Barack Obama. To those who comment that Hillary Clinton cannot win the nomination due to the delagate count, if you listen to the projected counts on CNN and other networks, neither can Barack Obama, unless one or the other wins in huge leads in more than one state. Florida and Michigan might change that, I am not sure, but since we do not know what will happen in those two states that is a moot point right now. It will more than likely come down to those darned super delegates for either candidate. I hope we can rid ourselves of that debacle by the next election.

I would love to know WHERE Hillary's money came from, both for February and the $6 million on the day after the primaries on Tuesday.

And please Hillary, release your tax returns. It is not like you or Bill are personally doing them. You have highly paid financial experts working on your tax returns and I am certain they could have had them done by now. They probabaly have done them but in your games of secrecy you refuse. This should be a big story for the news media to pick up, yet for the most part they are silent.

I challenge Hillary's campaign to release how many contributors have donated to her campaign. And then I challenge the news media to accurately report it.

And, I challenge CNN and the other news media outlets to report on the over 1 million people who donated to Barack Obama's campaign.

I am going now to send in my donation to Barack Obama's campaign, Change We CAN Believe In.

Someone asked, "where is the Clinton money coming from ?"

I am 65 and a very low Social Secutiy check, I GAVE, a small amount, under $50.00 but I gave.

Hillary raised far less than BHO, and still WON..

And BHO,asks 'where is Hillary's tax return?" I ask, where is his fundraising totat? WHAT IS BHO hiding, or I guess the questions should be, What ELSE is BHO hiding. ?

    GO HILLARY

I will give more money next month.

  18. Solid support

Majority of HIllary supporters are lifelong democrats, base of the democratic party and young democrats; they're ordinary folks eking out a living but opening their wallets for Hillary. Majority of her donors are first time contributors to any political campaign.

There's a big difference between Hillary and Obama supporters; Hillary supporters are rational thinking people, you can asks them any issues what Hillary stands for, they'll give you an answer. Obama supporters are the exact opposite of Hillary supporters, they're emotionally driven, lacks rational thinking and mean as hell. Obama cult followers, reminds me of David Koresh followers.

What made Hillary won in Ohio, Texas and Rhode Island, are the hardwork of her supporters that travelled thousands of miles to stump for her. Supporters of Hillary delivers whenever she ask for their help, they're very optimistic followers. Obama outspent Hillary 3 to 1 and still lose in three states especially Ohio; no democrat or republican President sit in office without winning Ohio primary.

I'm Mcain supporter; but the dynamic of Hillary supporters impresses me a lot; they're knowledgeable of issues their candidate stands for, I can't say the same thing about Obama supporters; the best they can do is point me to Obama's website, Obama also do the same thing.

Hey everyone listen to Kathy from Michigan!

Take a look at the fraud case of Paul v. Clinton. It will open your eyes and everyone will see what the Clintons have been hiding!

Why is the media not reporting on this? This is big! This case shows how far the Clintons will go to get back into the White House.

I believe Obama didn't get 35 millions on February, if they do they will counter attack Hillary news as they counter attacked the 3.a.m ad. I think what his campaign manger said more than 50 million, probably is the January and February fund rising money, so they only get roughly 15-20 millions in February. And they out spent Hillary 2-1. I am going to see his campaign will run out of money pretty soon. Obama think he will get nominee but instead he lost in Texas and Ohio. Lets see when they reports the money by the end of this month to SEC committee.

    Let get real
Hillary needs to drop out for the good of the party
She can not over take Obama in number of state won
It will be very hard for her to over take Obama in pledged delgates
and the super delgetes will not over turn the will of the people of a free and fair vote
On top of all that she can't even keep her word when it come to Michigan and Florida she wants to change the rules and seat the delgates for her on gain
So she can't even be trusted and you know McCain will use that too

I will continue to give to OBAMA. Look let's stop this spin and call it what it is. OBAMA was not expected to win OHIO or TX. He came back from being down 20pts in some of the polls. The net gain in delegates for Billary is 4. Even if he does not win another Primary he will have more delegates that her
