Limbaugh: So-called 'Dream Ticket' doesn't have a prayer

Limbaugh said a ticket with Obama and Clinton doesn't have a prayer.
Limbaugh said a ticket with Obama and Clinton doesn't have a prayer.

(CNN) - Many Democrats have called the prospect of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama teaming up for the general election a "dream ticket."

But conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said Wednesday a presidential ticket that included a "woman and a black" doesn't "have a prayer."

"Let's say it is Obama and Hillary...Let's put Hillary at the top - That's a position she's familiar with," Limbaugh said on his radio show Thursday. "Therefore, you've got a woman and a black for the first time ever on the Democrat ticket. Ahem. They don't have a prayer."

Donna Brazile, Al Gores former presidential campaign manager, called the comments "un-American."

"I'm an American. And I'm proud to be an American," Brazile said on CNN's The Situation Room Wednesday. "But I think that comment is, as far as I can tell, a very un-American conversation, because African-Americans and women fight for this country. We have died for this country."

“To suggest, somehow or another, that we are not capable of serving this country in the capacity of Commander-in-Chief is just, in my mind, mind-boggling," she continued. "So, with all due respect to Mr. Limbaugh, just wait. Let the people decide. And I guarantee you, the people will make a better decision than Rush Limbaugh."

Limbaugh's comments came hours after Hillary Clinton said the Democratic presidential race could result in a joint ticket.

“That may be where this is headed,” she told CBS Wednesday morning. “But of course we have to decide who is on the top of ticket. I think the people of Ohio very clearly said that it should be me."

Obama later called any speculation of teaming up with Clinton "premature."

Take another narcotic pain pill Rush and call CNN in the morning!!

Just CNN pandering for bloggers and controversy, but how low can you go with continuing on with Rush Limbaugh? This joke of a man thinks he can control who people vote for and steer the nomination.

    Still For Hill

One more reason to end this primary sooner rather than later... I hate seeing Rush have so much fun slinging his crap around the airwaves.

God, what an idiot. Didn't he learn his lesson when he was on ESPN? What a joke. I think the best thing that we can do is ignore him.

Nice job, fat boy. Go pop some more pills.

Mike Tyson has more credibility than Rush Limbaugh.

HOWEVER, this supposed "Dream Ticket" is never going to happen because Obama would lower himself to allowing Hillary anywhere near his ticket after her fear and smear tactics.

Gee, I thought that Rush was pro-Hillary and anti-McCain.

Maybe Limbaugh's flip-flop is the result of a medication issue. I wonder if Ann Koulter has changed her mind too?

It really doesn't make any difference in the long run, Senator McCain's victory in the primaries has rendered the conservatives irelevant to 2008 politics.

There are two voices I would like to see completely ignored
Hannity (fox news) He is one step ahead of a mongoloid idiot, well only a half step.
Rush Limbaugh. He would have been able to replace goebles in the nazi
party. Too bad he wasn't born in Germany.
It if frightening to think their voices could influence other idiots and actually twist the election away from the will of the majority

OK, so Ohio said she sound be "on top". Let's see. How many other states said Barack should be on top? Oh, I forgot, they don't count. Hillary has already said that. Arrogance reigns supreme!

How could Limbaugh talk about prayers. From listening to him rant and rave he should be praying the good Lord forgives him for being so mean. Stay with the GOP Rush you and your friends Bill Cunningham, Ann Couthar, Hannity and Dick Morris who makes even my 93 yer old mother sick we don't need your help. By the way conservative means staying the course liberal means being able to make CHANGES.

THE TRUTH HURTS. That's why people don't like Rush. While his comments aren't how we want things to be. If you don't think his statements have any truth to them, you're seriously deluding yourself.

Regardless of the race and gender issues, it will never happen. Obama won't put someone as polarizing as hilliary on his ticket and is too proud to forget all and join hers.

Even if it did happen, McCain would run away with the independent voters. Why? Hill and Barak represent the far left of the party while McCain is on the moderate side of his.

What truly 'does not have a prayer' is Bimbo Limbo getting into heaven, or ever being considered sane by any thinking person. Fat Head Limbaugh really should MoveOn and read the second part of the Bible; you know the New Testament, that talks about 'love thy neighbor' and all that Christian stuff. Having said that, I hope Mr. Fat Head is right for once. I don't want to see such a 'dream ticket'. Sen. Clinton would only distort Obama's message, and bring the Republican crazies out of the woodwork in droves.

For this everyone should hate her. For her self-contradiction, for her egoism and for her sense of (dis)proportion !

She is a very BAD American:
    She views, Ohio=rest of USA

What fun it has been reading your posts! Your liberal anger is hysterical! Has anyone checked the context in which Rush said this before calling him names? (You mean, CNN woudl report something out of context? No, never.) And as much as I think Rush is arrogant and egotistical, he's almost always right on these predictions. Todd C., who quoted Al Franken, how did Al's radio show go? What it didn't last 20 years like Rush's has? But didn't Al have public funding? Guess even the government knows what draws listeners...and isn't that what media is all about?

    Oh, learn to spell everyone...

And a big AMEN to RightyTighty...the Democrats are the ones keeping Racism and Sexism alive for political gain. If they don't have "victims" they don't have power.

Oh My God! Why is the Democratic party acting like a kid?
A rule is a rule. To suggest that after spending time and money to decide on a rule and later bend the rule becuase they want to favour one candidate is just stupid.
It is a shame that these bosses can't stand behind their words..
Why even consider talking about Michigan and Florida primary when the states knew the law of the party a year and a half before the candidate even began campaigning for the nomination.

If the democrats can't able rule of law they are not fit to governthe country. Sorry to say that , but that is true. What makes government govern is rule of law, if not every citizen should oble government laws either.
Rush and the media have getten work they pray for. Lets prolong the democratic primary to make money for the media and for Rush cause problem for the Democrats .

Deomcrats should do the right thing, that is do with what you have now. There is a front runner for the nomination and they have to allow the people who have chosen him their right of the democrats nominee.
There can't be other way to judge this case, the people have chosen their party nomination. Non of these candidates will get the actual nnumber, so therefore democratic party leaders should use what they have at the moment and stop acting like babies. We need a realiable leaders who will make a solid decision not behaving group of kids.

Rush is the biggest loser in this country. He is the most racist, sexist, Un-American thing to happen to this country since Joe McCarthy!!

As for the "Dream Ticket"- I really hope the nominee is Obama and he chooses someone other than Hillary. I have yet to vote in an election where there wasn't a Clinton or Bush on the ballot. I think these two families have had their shot and it is time for a new face in the White House with new ideas.

It will most definitely be a ticket with the both of them on it. The only argument now is who is at the top of the ticket. With the delegates split almost evenly there is no way that it won't be both. My bet is Clinton gets the top spot with Obama in VP.

It's very UNPATRIOTIC of Rush to be such a racist!!! It's pretty sad that he represents the right-wing conservatives. I would be very much of ashamed if I were a conservative. Racism and sexism at it's best from a conservative.
