Mississippi was also the state that DIDN'T ratify the Nineteenth Amendment (giving women the RIGHT to vote) until 1984. Can you believe that? They obviously still believe women are inferior. Vote for Obama, we don't need or want your votes. You are uneducated backwoods people who don't do your research..

I find it funny that people are critisizing Obama for going on the offensive. They say things like "I thought he was supposed to be different." Or, they call him a hypocrite.

I don't see any other way he can defend himself other than going on the offensive. He has been on the defense this entire campaign and I believe he, as well as half the nation, is sick of it. I know I am.

Hillary points out the dumbest of dumb things and it makes me wonder why people listen to her. Have any of the Hillary supporters looked into the Clinton scams? They do exist, you know.

Hillary clinton says that she is fighting for voters. That's a lie! She is fighting to get back into the White House. She doesn't care about anything but her own ambitions and will do anything to win the presidency. She and Bill have made so many deals under the table that she must win the presidency to pay back all the deals made. I would not support Hillary even if she did receive the Democratic nomination.

Now she trying to get the delegates seated from Michigan and Florida. She wants people to think she wants their voices to be heard. She could care less about these voters or their voices. The only reason she wants these delegates seated is she thinks it will add to her delegate count. If she were leading in the delegate count, she would be fighting to keep these delegates from being seated, especially since she along with the other candidates, as well as the state democratic party and both governors all agreed that the delegates would not count when these states jumped the date for their respective primaries. Hillary does not do anything unless there is something in it for her. She says she is a fighter until her opponent gets the best of her, then she will FAKE the tears/emotion to try to make others feel sorry for her. She is not to be trusted and if she steals this nomination, I will vote as an Independent, and call on others who still care about a fair process to do the same.

Obama will win In Wyoming and Mississippi. He will then go on to win the nomination. My hope is that he selects John Edwards as his running mate, but I'm open to anyone except Clinton.

Regarding the argument that only Clinton can win the general election--that is a very shallow and superficial argument. The fact is that the democratic candidate for the presidency will benefit from the tremendous turnout of democratic voters. Obama WILL get the votes in the so-called big states.

...And yet isn't it still true that Mississippi still has "never elected a woman governor, senator or member of Congress"? Ahem. Maybe Mabus could have taken this opportunity to pledge to advocate for women in his state instead... or even Obama. There was actually a more positive counter argument in there, if you were going to bother.

Let see, what have we learned about Hillary Clinton's Campaign:

LIE and CHEAT.

They call us naive when is the HRC Campaign making up lies, trying to steal the nomination, and being two faced. Reality is, Obama has a honorable campaign that is not made on lies like the others. Another thing, they said that Obama's name was mentioned in court, HOWEVER, it wasn't implicated in anything with the Resko case. Stop trying to spin things into lies. Obama is not doing anything illegal so stop twisting it into something you want it to be. Obama is a uniter, not a divider.

Kevin has a point. It is likely that Obama and Hillary will both need to win Ohio or Florida in order to win the general election. To suggest that Obama can win either South Carolina or Missouri is naive because both of those states go red consistently in general elections. And for all of those who call Obama a uniter, take a look at his attack ads against a fellow Democrat and tell me again that he will unite this country when it seems like he is driving a wedge into the Democratic Party. To be fair Hillary is doing the same, but when you praise Obama please refrain from calling him a uniter and give me a real reason to vote for him.

To all that continue to press the name Tony Rezco upon Senator Obama, Keep in mind two things:

1) He gave money to Senator Clinton as well, only she didn't give it back to charity like Senator Obama did.

2) Two words worth hitting a Google search: Peter Paul.

Odd that YouTube removed all the videos about Peter Paul.

Hey Kevin and other people who feel the way you do......
Do you actually think that result of the primary vote in Ohio is reflective of the candidates ability to win it in the general election? The only way that could be is if Obama ran against Hillary and McCain as an independent. Jeeeze you and others - those people voting in those races and going to the caucuses are DEMOCRATS. These people are not going to leave their party and vote republican in the general election. That has never happened. Again - the primaries are to elect a nominee for THEIR party. Whoever wins the nominee is generally SUPPORTED by their party. So the argument being made that Hillary should be the nominee because she has won the big states is for the mindless to believe. The fact that Hillary touts this in her recent Ohio speech confirms the latter and what I have always believed having seen her as first lady from Arkansas all the way through her husbands years as president - those years she takes credit for as her foreign policy experience.

It is about time someone call the ClintonS out for what they are! Negative polticital snakes. I use to like Bill and Hillary, but now I really feel that they are out for power and the destruction of the Democratice Party. I use to be a Hillary Fan, now I am for Barack Obama. He is the better candidate and can turn the page to a brighter day for our country.

Why hasn't Mississippi elected a woman governor, senator or member of Congress? Why is the pay of Mississippi teachers barely above the poverty level? Why does Mississippi lead in dropouts from school and lead in deaths of African/American young men? Why are your prisons filled with your children and loved ones?

Former Mississippi Governor Ray Mabus because of people like you.

Hey Mississippi you can fight to throw off those chains. Fight for your children and place in life. Women stand up and vote for the woman that will stand beside you all the way.

VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON!

Everyone here talks as if they know anything. The truth is very few of you have done ANY research. Has anyone been to Mississippi? If so, do you really think it's like Iowa? I don't.

As for Rezko, it must be nice to have a friend like him so Obama can purchase a house that is $300,000 UNDER market value. And Rezko's wife purchases the lot next door. Does that NOT sound a bit STRANGE?

We don't know what the Rezko trial will bring, but he is being charged for basically trying to buy of politicians. I think selling a house for $300,000 under market value falls into that claim, don't you?

Oh, as for the Clinton's having money, uh, yeah, one was a president, both of them wrote best selling books, so obviously they have money. Where do you think Obama got all his money? Ah, yes, selling a book!

You think those comments are bad? Hillary, in a video on CNN just two weeks ago basically waved off the value of any caucus state saying that those caucuses are just run by a bunch of party activists and don't reflect the will of the people. What arrogance! I'm surprised that clip of hers doesn't get played in every caucus state from here on out to remind people of her truly arrogant nature. If you really think the little people will be her concern once she has power, you've been lead down the garden path. Her dirty tricks now are all about seizing power. That is all she wants - power!

Hillary cannot and will not win the Democratic nomination. Obama will be ahead in Elected Delegates, in the Popular Vote, AND in the most states won. IF the Super Delegates give Clinton the nomination in spite of all that, the traditional Democratic coalition is gone (black voters especially will not vote in November 08) and its not like Hillary can make up the difference with independents. So she looses any way.

But the point is that Hillary can have all the momentum she wants and win every big state from here on out. But her having the momentum now cannot compensate for her not having the momentum in the month of February. She lost this nomination in February. And she can't change that now.

Obama will be the Democratic nominee. He will choose a General as his running mate. He will win. And the Clintons FINALLY will be off the national stage!!!!!!!!!

It is a shameful thing to see how unfair and unjust the campaign has become. The world is looking on, and the US is a nation that other countries in the 3rd world would like to emulate. What I am seeing and read in this blog are a few Hateful comments that are directed to Obama. Thank God all your racial comments will never overcome a young, brilliant, ambitious, gifted, decent man like him, and not a gutter rat like HRC. MAD IN TEXAS TWO OF A KIND.

Barack Obama is a God sent to America, after a political disaster like Pres B.

Being Ray Mabus' niece and an Obama supporter, I may be somewhat biased, but I think this can only help Obama. He hasn’t really gone that negative – compared to others. He has proven that he can take hits from Clinton and McCain and survive, but he needs to show America that he can throw a few hits as well. I know Obama stands for a new kind of politics; however, voters usually respond to these types of ads. Also, living in Mississippi, I think this was definitely a story worth bringing up; it will really make Mississippians think about Clinton.

The real question here is will Obama step up to the plate and confirm that these two states have a poor record with women....

This one will backfire for Obama. Over half of those voting in November are women. Some of us like our candidates to be advocates. Women, blacks, gays, any minority would not have made progress without people standing up for us and pointing out the places where we are excluded.

This attempt to attack is lame. I'm not sure if it will work in some places or not, but it would not work in the state I'm from.

It is absurd that the Democratic Party would be asked to pay in aiding Florida in a second hijacking of the Presidency. Both governors and Hillary Clinton knew the rules. They held the primaries early knowing what the consequences would be. I think they are stinking up the Country with their foul smells that will cross many borders and sicken others as well as all fair-minded U.S. citizens.

If that is the truth, then please Tell Me why one of Obama's Campaign Staffers is attending the trial.

Tell me why Obama LIED during the debate with Clinton, and said he only worked 5 hours on one case for Rezko.

Tell me why Obama Never mentioned his relationship was a 17 year relationship with Rezko!

Michigan and Florida losing their votes because of some stupid rules

I am sick of hearing Hillary say that no president has ever been elected without Ohio.

First of all, no woman or black person have ever been elected President either. Is Hillary saying she should just give up because it has never been done.

Second. Hillary is the democrat's Huckabee. Apparently she did not major in math either. She has a snowball's chance in H of winning.

Third: in most primaries in the past, the nominee was already decided by the time Ohio voted, and of course the only remaining nominee gets the win. This is a whole new ball game.

Barack has done an incredible job. He came into this contest with little name recognition and has defeated Hillary Clinton, a member of the most powerful political family in the world. If it weren't for Bill, she'd be nowhere right now and she knows it.

Go Obama.

WOW! ALL OBAMA supporters. what are ya all afraid of?
Those in Florida. It only takes one. Just one person to file a lawsuit against the Florida governor, the House of Representatives and the DNC. Others will follow. Then the Republican governor, Charlie Christ, will really worry about the money. Don't let anyone tell

you can't because the primary rules are not the same as a national election. A good lawyer will tell you the many ways to go.
It just takes one!

How many of your right have the Republican governor and House and the DNC violated?

""Examples of civil rights and liberties include the right to get redress if injured by another, the right to privacy, the right of peaceful protest, the right to a fair investigation and trial if suspected of a crime, and more generally-based constitutional rights such as the right to vote, the right to personal freedom, the right to freedom of movement and the right of equal protection."

I do not understand how any segment of the American people can be so determined to elect an individual who exhibits the extreme multiplicity of personality as Senator Clinton. Someone should really lace together the clips of her crying one moment, fiery mad the next, calm and contemplative after that, followed by mocking an opponents character the next (skies opening) and lastly respecting his contribution to the culture and political landscape. Once that is done they should take all of the words that weren't even in the political lexicon until Obama that she has began to use, in essence trying to hitch her wagon to his rising star. (See change, hope, momentum, movement, etc.) If the purpose of government is to help the people, why elect someone who would so obviously employ the same language and attitude when dealing with those across the aisle or across the ocean. That would be a fantastic way to get nothing done for another four years. As far as delegates go. Don't me mad at Dean or the DNC or anyone else. There is a saying "rules is rules." The people of Florida and Michigan should target any anger and frustration towards those who decided to proceed with advanced primary dates in spite of the known consequence.

Sometimes when you slop hogs they may throw some mud on you. You can jump in the pin and throw mud back....but then they are used to being in trash, aren't they. The best thing to do is go back to your house, take a nice hot shower and get back to business. Stay positive Obama. Your example will lead you to victory.

She is so arrogant, she should be awarded french citizenship.
Then, visiting the Elysee Palace and meeting with President Nicolas Sarkozy, Bill could have tea with Carla Bruni (ex super model), and where we go again for an interenational crisis.
Is that what she was talking about when saying she has international experience?
While Bill will enjoy Carla's charm, i don't think Nicolas will be too much into Hillary.

You want a true woman of power? Try Margaret Tatcher.
Hillary is not of the same caliber.

why I am not surpreised,
Obama started all the negative’s ,slamming Hillary at every campaign about Iraq, Nafta etc. She fires back now he cant take it.
She just brings the truth about leadership.I dont think Obama wants to get to dirty.Hillary will tear him apart.
He is involved in alot of corruptions that he isnt letting anyone know about. The Clintons have been picked and tore open through the years.
They have nothing to hide that hasnt been surfaced already. Obama has met his match with Hillary.
Hillary is a little pitbull when she is cornered.
I think Obama better think twice ,before she opens the closet to his corrupt deals. He can sell the American voters ,but he dont sell me. Go Hillary

I'm commenting on the amount of money Senator Barack Obama raised. Hmm I just wonder how he is raising these unusual amounts of money, especially if his supporters are college students. Makes you wonder. Also, so much for all the money, what good it did him in Ohio and Texas.

Boy, is Jack a hater for Hillary. He is so hating her. Why? It is almost as though she did something personally offensive to him. I think we should be looking at Barack Obama more closely; remember what we have in the White House now.

Could you please have a least one person who is for Hillary or at least gives her the benefit sometime. All your pundits are Hillary Haters and is so obvious. Try watching them on TV and boy oh boy, did Jack cut your head off when you tried to say something positive for Hillary. Geez!

Maybethe governor of MS will come out and some how help build support for Hillary. After all, Former Pres. Clinton did help infuse funds to the Delta region of the MS to help reduce disparities. Let's hope the state remembers this.

This add by Obama is as negative and misleading as any of Clinton's have been. It's taken out of context--and yeah, Mississippi AND Iowa--why so few women elected officials---isn't THAT the real point?

I thought Barack said that he didn't believe in negative politics. Now, Barack is connected with Tony Rezko a man on trial. for .. corruption. He got property for a deal. Barack wrote letters to help him get a low income contract. He is another POLITICIAN. Sigh. Sorry he is not my choice.

This is ridiculous. Is this all Obama has? He's going to win Mississippi by a large margin as it has the highest African American population percentage-wise in the country. Clinton isn't even bothering to really campaign there. He should've saved his negativity for contests that matter.

BTW, all this talk about giving the election to the candidate with the most delegates is silly as well. Fact is, Obama will probably have more pledged delegates, but he won't get to 2025. Why should the superdelegates automatically vote for someone who didn't win out? That's like saying you should win a marathon because you were ahead in mile 24, though no one finished. If he's making that argument, he has no argument regarding not seating Florida and Michigan. You can't have it both ways. You want to change the rules, don't just change them in your favor, Obama.
