Sure, the entire concept of 'Democracy' does not matter to Clinton as long as she get nominated and elected to be president.

Imagine Barack Obama would utter such nonsense ... would there not be the 'Big Bang' in the media? Now that Clinton says it, it's a small headline far down in the ticker at best. "Well, we mentionened it." CNN can say ... hardly doing their job of holding the politicians accountable and keeping us really informed.

OBAMA'08 for the American People, for Democracy !

Hillary should be consistent in her position on the rules. On one hand, she wants the Florida and Michigan delegates seated, clearly a departure from the rules the Democrat party laid out. She doesn't want to disenfranchise these voters - a noble position.

On the other hand, she wants to go after the Super delegates to get them to push her over the top, even though she won't win the popular vote nor the pledged delegates. The rules of the party state that the Super delegates can vote any way they want. However, wouldn't this be disenfranchising the voters and delegates in all of the primary states?

This woman is amazing! People with OR without a college degree don't need a second look to see what is going on here. Wake up Democrats! She will do or say anything to "win"!
The Clinton talking heads that get on these blogs and spew her fear and hate message need to sit back, think about this last article, and join the Movement for real CHANGE. It's not too late. We are supposed to be Democrats! This latest is Republican tactics RAW!
Enough Hillary--- Go Away!

Pathetic; so why do we have the Primaries then Mrs. Clinton? Only to have you say at the end of the day; Pledged Delegates and the will of the People do not count since the Del. can do what they want at the Convention: Hope this whole thing will be settled in April, then the Dem. can concentrate on defeating McCain in Nov. Obama is the true Statesman.

WHAT'S THE NEWS WORTHINESS OF A STORY ABOUT SOMEONE WHO DID A COMMERCIAL AND SUPPORTS ANOTHER CANDIDATE. THE AMERICAN PEOPLE KNOW THAT COMMERCIALS ARE DONE FOR MONEY NOT BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE IN THE PERSON OR PRODUCT, UNLESS THEY SAY THEY PERSONALLY ENDORSE THE PRODUCT OR PERSON.
SO PLEASE BE UPFRONT WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND TELL THEM THAT YOU SUPPORT OBAMA.

For all of those that insist that the superdelegates must respect the wishes of the public and the popular vote, my question is how do you propose that be done?

If you wish for the SD to respect the wishes of the electorate, it is very reasonable to expect them to respect the wishes of their specific electorate; i.e the South Carolina SDs should endorse Senator Obama. Taking this approach, Senator Clinton gets the bulk of the SDs as she has won the states that have the most SD.

Proportional representation at a state level or at a national level don't appear to make sense as this approach would negate the need for SDs all together. The DNC, when they created the role of the SD, definitely did not create the role with the intent of the role having no purpose.

While the level of vitriolic rhetoric is extremely high surrounding this issue, it is important that people take a step back and look at the actual intent in having super delegates. We may not be happy with the results but we should be willing to look at this with logic rather than emotion.

question:
Is there a way we could all stop phrasing the FL/MI situation as "their votes don't count". The fact of the matter is each of the states leaders knowingly chose to have their votes count in this way. there is a big difference. the people of MI and FL would not feel so "disenfranchised" if their votes would have psychologically altered the race as they planned and a nominee was picked as a result.

Sad truly. I always said that even if Obama did not win I would support Hillary. But I am finding it harder and harder to think about that. The more she talks the more I turn away. She should be campaigning for the people not for the delegates!

I agree we have seen ENOUGH of Hillary's BIG EGO, she certainly is a great example of the ME GENERATION.

BUT, don't worry, she is only SHOOTING HERSELF IN THE FOOT. I don't know why the press doesn't ask her the right questions. I think they are afraid of BILL fist fithing with them or point his finger at them. As Tom Dashel said in MEET THE PRESS "It is the first time in AMERICAN'S history that some one who is bihind in delegate numbers is offering the front runner the VP position." IMAGINE THAT Why the press doesn't aske her, how can that make sense!!!!

MARK MY WORDS!!!! beilive it or not HILLARY WILL BE CAMPAINING FOR OBAMA THIS FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hillary, you really makes me very sick as the campaign unfolds. With this new interview you had, really makes Samathan Power's description of you "MONSTER" really seems TRUE. TRUE .TRUE
To all US voters, is this the kind of President you want??????

VOTE OBAMA
VOTE OBAMA/EDWARD as your DREAM TEAM for 2008.

Yeah, considering a lot of his wins were in open primary states where Rep crossed over to vote the weaker candidate, Obama. They've just now pulled some smoke and mirrors to make it look like they would do so for HRC in Texas, but I don't think so. Whatever the Rep say in public, do the opposite Dems. The nominee should really be a Dem nominee. That is the original purpose of the superdelegates, but since O has taken over the narrative that they would be thwarting democracy for voting HRC over him, she should fire back on all cylinders!!

This could be the year of the third party candidate if she ends up pulling this off. If it looks like she stole this from Barack, I will vote for Nader. I don't want the republicans to get it, but I can not give my vote to someone who cheats. Hillary, please play nice! The more you do and say these divisive things, the higher your negatives are going to go. I don't want to lose this again! It's too important!!!

I don't see anything wrong with her comments. She's just reminding the delegates representing the gullible voters (those that were duped by her fake crying, her lying, her turning a vote against her into a vote against women, etc.) that they can still vote for Obama.

What a monster!!! I am a woman, and I refuse to vote for her. It sucks, because I honestly would love to have a woman president one day, just not someone who is coniving and evil like HRC. Hopefully by the end of this election, Obama will go on to the General Election, and her political stance will go down the tubes. I do not want her to be involved in American Politics at all, not even a janitor in the White House. She represents the bad and evil in this country. We need something different and fresh. Obama is that person.

So let me get this straight.

1. She wants to make sure the voters of Michigan and Florida have their voices heard (Benefits Clinton)

2. She wants to make sure that the Super Delegates ignore the popular vote and cast their ballot for who they think would be a better leader (Benefits Clinton - and contradicts point 1)

3. Says that Pledged delegates can vote for whomever they want regardless of the vote turnout (Benefits Clinton - Contradicts point 1)

She doesn't have a set of morals, she operates based on what serves her NOW.

Does she care about the voice of the people?

NO, she only cares that she wins.

To you delusional Clinton supporters, if this were Obama doing this you would be raising hell against him.

If Clinton was in the lead and Obama was doing this, he would be getting intense pressure to just drop out, and the country would be calling him a sore loser.

FACT...

How do people seriously not see she is completely full of B.S. She's the biggest hypocrite I've ever seen in american politics. First the superdelegates have the right to decide, then they dont and its the popular vote, now its the pledged delegates can switch, which IS the voice of the people. And you say you want florida and michigan to, only if they vote for you though right. If they dont then they dont count like the other 29 states, most overhelmingly, against you. And i'm simplifying this hypocracy.

I feel sorry for all the negative people who have posted on this sight. Not only must all of your lives be horribly miserable; but, those around you have been dragged down to your wallowing levels. Your self-righteousness preceeds you as human beings.Certainly none of you are Christian, because if you were, you would not be speaking in such tones. It is why, because of people like you, personifying a bigoted Bush, that this country gets a bad rap throughout the world.

If the pledged delgates which are the voters don't count, then why does Hillary insist on having a redo election in Michagan and Florida after she agreed these states would not be seated in the convention. I am still puzzled by her reasoning.

Has there ever been an American politician, male of female, who has more consistently put personal ambition above ethics, honor, the rule of law, and the wishes of the American people? The only other one who comes to mind is her husband.

The people who are supporting her should be careful. She will abandon them just as quickly as she has put aside respect for the law.

God help America should she become president.

I cannot believe her! Is it not disturbing to others how manipulative Senator Clinton is? I do not see how her supporters can feel good about voting for her! She will do ANYTHING to win at ANY cost, no matter what. This is getting absurd! Please do not elect this woman to office! What will she do to our country?

Hillary continues to try to cheat to win. No surprise here, but way to go on making people have little faith in our Democracy.

You are so sad, Hillary. Sad indeed.

The people have resoundingly spoken for, and continue to speak for, Obama. Deal with it and go away.

How many Obama supporters will vote for HRC given how she and her camp have conducted this primary? If the voters do not decide this notation it will be a travesty!! And we will loose all this new energy that has been generated as a result of this primary election season. Voters are going to be so disillusioned with this process. Who do you think is responsible for this new energy??????

And so the Political process goes on. NO WONDER OUR COUNTRY & GOVERNMENT ARE A COMPLETE MESS!!!!! I , for one, HOPE that the delegates, whether they be regular delagates, caucas delagates or super delegates, VOTE THE WAY OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS. Anything else would be a complete Political farce. If that is how this HITLARY candidate thinks and believes, then she should be definitely OUSTED in any way possible from this Presidential run, and her Senator spot. She does NOT deserve to think she can be any part of this great country's political process.

You people want this Government back??? Start using your heads. VOTE FOR A CANDIDATE THAT WILL GIVE US OUR GOVERNMENT BACK, whether it be Ron Paul, Nadar, or another who will hopefully come into the fray before the actual elections. The candidates we have now is just too pitiful for the mess that our country is in. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!!!

These real times require REAL LEADERSHIP, not tea party experience - Vote Obama 08

Okay CNN, there are only about five comments in favor of Hillary on this page so don't dump this one...

I don't know how many of you actually pay attention to political primaries but what she said is true ad has been done before. In 1984 we had a similar situation in the Walter Mondale Gary Hart matchup. Senator Hart excelled at caucuses (similar to Obama) but learned a very important lesson. The caucuses have three rounds.
Round 1.) Elect delegates to a county convention
Round 2.) Elect delegates to a state convention
Round 3.) Elect delegates to the national convention

What we have witnessed so far has been round 1. Delegates are free to change their minds at each stage in the game. In 1984, by the time we got to round 3, many of Senator Hart's delegates changed their minds and decided to vote for Vice President Mondale.

Understand this very clearly...NO CAUCUS DELEGATES HAVE BEEN CHOSEN YET!!! We are only at the first round of voting. I still, for the life of me, don't even understand why they are figured into the totals. Like the Superdelegates (John Lewis comes to mind) they to can change their mind at will.

She is dispicable. If she STEALS the nomination, then my vote lies with McCain. I always said I'd never vote for McCain because I don't care for him HOWEVER he is the lesser of two evils.
How can anyone support this woman? I'm ashamed as a woman that she is the first woman candidate that could possibly be our president. She clearly only cares about her own agenda. Why else would she have stayed with Bill when he publicly humiliated her with his numerous white house affairs???
Wake up people...women especially. Don't let your desire to see a woman as president (and I for one don't wish to see this yet) cloud your better judgement. The Clintons only care about themselves. And she doesn't want Obama running with her...that is her tactic to try to swing votes. He wouldn't run with her anyway. Obama may be able to woo her voters if he wins the nomination but I guarantee his voters won't be swinging her way when she steals, cheats, and lies her way to the nomination. McCain will be president because of what she's doing to the democratic party...it's just sick!

Please correct me if im wrong but i thought the whole reason for a convention was that if no one reached the number of delagates to win the nomanation you went to the floor of the convention pleading your case to try to convince people to swith there vote. After eqach revote and still no one with enough delagates you do it all over again till one sides convinces enough ppl to swicth till you have the number of delagates to put you over the top. They made the 2025 delagate rule for a reason, it did not say who ever had more would win you have to have 2025 to win so to reach that number of course you would have to get ppl to switch.

How democratic is the DNC? The world is watching closely as the CLINTON'S scheme to subvert the will of the people, a situation that could make or mar the DNC chance of clinching the presidency.

So apparently CNN is supporting the Clintons. Hillary has bought ad space on the Election 2008 page!!! What gives guys? I know technically it's not supporting them but it certainly looks that way. Wow...the media and the Clintons are trying to steal this election. Hey, CNN...you're losing your credibility with this voter, and from what I can tell...quite a few others. This is one of those typical Clintonesque backroom deals I'm sure.
