Girl in Clinton ad supports Obama

CNN

Watch Casey Knowles on American Morning Monday.

(CNN) - Casey Knowles has graced the airwaves this month as the unwitting star of a headline-grabbing campaign ad for Hillary Clinton. But the 17-year-old is hoping to grace the small screen this campaign year for another presidential hopefully: Clinton’s Democratic rival, Barack Obama.

Stock footage of an 8-year-old Knowles sleeping – shot when she worked as an extra in TV commercials - was used in Clinton’s “red phone” ad, which asked “Who do you want answering the phone at 3 a.m.?” in the case of a foreign policy crisis.

But the high-school senior – who will be eligible to vote in the general election – is actually a passionate supporter of Barack Obama’s, and has been volunteering for the Illinois senator’s campaign.

“I think it would be wonderful if Barack Obama and I could get together and do a counter-ad,” she told CNN Saturday.

Appearing on CNN's American Morning Monday, Knowles said she was shocked to discover she was in the commercial, and said it made her feel disloyal to Obama.

"It makes me feel a little disloyal and kind of," she said. "It hurts that footage of me would contribute to a candidate that I'm not necessarily supporting. Hopefully Mr. Obama would forgive me. "

Knowles, who lives in Washington State, also said she plans on helping Obama in Oregon ahead of that state's primary in May.

"They want to get me down there and hopefully get me to help support and get campaigning going on down there," she said.

In Wyoming on Friday, Obama told voters at a campaign event that people shouldn’t worry about what he’d do if an emergency 3 a.m. call came into the White House when he was president.

“What do people think I’m going to do? I’m going to answer the phone,” he said.

You are the stupid and the ignorant one! What will take for your little ignorant, racist, fear and hate spreading mind to understand that Obama is not and was never a Muslim. If you hate Muslim so much stop using their oil. Maybe you will learn a lesson.

No wonder Hillary win the states that have big concentration of mindless hate-lies-ignorant people like you.

I imagine Casey waking up at 3:00am in the commercial telling her mother and father, I don't want Hilary Clinton picking up the phone I don't feel safe with her, I want Barack Obama to pick it up. I wondered how dissapointed was Senator Clinton when she saw her little girl on Television almost saying, AM CASEY KNOWLES and I DISSAPROVE THIS MESSAGE. Thats how prepared she is to become commander in chief, she don't even know whats going on in her own backyard.

This story isn't news. I'm ashamed CNN is reporting something as asinine as this under the guise of politics.

You can't play football by following the rules of a soccer game! Plain and simple no matter how good of a soccer player you might be, it won't do you any good in football. Obama does not have to change his message or his beliefs to play her game... the game of Politics. People like this girl are following suit. It is impossible to win this nomination sitting idly by in the shadows. Barack and those who support him have to take a stand and show the world they mean business.

If Hillary gets the nomination, I vote for McCain. It's that simple.

Barack Obama should just quit. If he has not been able to deliver a knock out punch to Hillary by now how the heck could he possibly beat McCain?

As for this "will of the people" arguement...isn't Hillary ahead in popular vote (if you count Florida and Michigan) now and what if she is when all the primaries and caucuses are done? Then what will you say?

CNN, I have been watching your news shows and anchors, and I have to commend you on being the only News Network that reports on the race for the white house without trying to sway voters and interject your (Personal) thoughts on these 3 candidates.

    Thank you.

Why can’t people be fair and truthful? Greg from Pennsylvania I think you cross the line with your comment. Let us all be objective, wise and make a constructive criticism that will help us all. She's free to do what she think is right for her, who are we to question her decision or even write Derogatory statements . Food for thought. Thanks!

It's really messed up how bitter and rude a few of these Hillary supporters are. Really, really messed up. Yet, they are the first to swoon over 28 year old Chelsea. "what a fine you lady" and so forth. And now they take pleasure in brow beating a 17 year old girl? Such behavior is hateful, shameful, and disgusting.

Hillary says she has more experience, but now she needs Obama to join with her on a dream ticket. She said she is more electable, but she needs to cheat the system by seating Florida and Michigan's delegates which should not count, in order to catch up with Obama. She says she's loyal, but used Obama's supporter's image in her ad. What's next Hillary, What's next? I'll tell you what's next. You need to pay this young lady some royalty.

I'm not surprised that a 17 year old is supporting Obama, but once this young lady gains some maturity I think she will realize that there is more to becoming president that just being young and sounding good.
