Soooo....Headline: "Actress Tries to Further Career..." She's promoting her career, Obama et al. are promoting their careers. CNN should find stories, not simply present those created by a campaign.

I agree completely, but no matter how much the truth comes out about Hillary, some people will vote for her anyway.

Or were you talking about the girl in the ad?

Hey Clinton supporters, don't start whinning AGAIN...

I mean come'on. I can't believe you all have the audacity to blame this girl for supporting Obama!! Talk about a cheap shot. The Clinton campe should have done a better job at screening her ads. Bottom line. Don't hate the player HATE the game.

Get over yourselves. The young lade has every right to support anyone she wants...and as a child she didn't have a voice, NOW she of legal age and she has MADE HER CHOICE. Geeeez.

If funny how you Clinton supports are such sore losers, YOU want your cake and want to be able to eat it too even if it the cake IS NOT YOUR CAKE!!! How typical.

You all need to take a chill pill and stop acting like a toddler for God's sake. Last I recall Sen. Clinton doesn't walk on water and she certainly isn't OWED anything from the American people. We've given her and Bill 8+ years in the limelight.

It's time for them to DO what's best for the Democratic Party, but OH no...that's not the Clinton way they would rather lie, cheat, steal, bribe and sacrifice every body else but themselves. I guess the court case against her (Paul vs. Clinton) isn't HER fault either huh? What?

Dani: this is a struggle for power between two generations. The older generation will lose this fight. They must lose this fight. All that "experience" has saddled a young generation with war and recession. How are we supposed to "pull ourselves up by our bootstraps" and live out the "American Dream" when we have been stripped of our boots altogether and seen the dream fade into the pockets of the wealthy?

This is rich only the Clinton's would try to spin there losing into a disaster. No one I've spoken with would be surprised if this wasn't a back up plan all the while. Sen. Obama's the front runner like it or not and he has stuck to the rules of not only the DNC, but his own campaign. The Clinton's are so despite to get back in the White House not only would Hillary lie, cheat, steel or undercut her opponent. She'd try to rip the Democratic Party apart while endorsing Sen. McCain, because she's losing. This behavior doesn't make her tough, but it does make her a degrading human being. She's obviously in co-hoots with so many that a dream ticket would go against every thing that Sen. Obama represents. The DNC needs to do the same thing that the Republican Party did. Take control and endorse Sen. Obama while they steal have a party to work with.

I have been contemplating what i would do if Clinton win the Dem Nom. I started asking all of my friends and family that are Dems what they will do and my family is big along with all my friends. we decided to start a poll of all our friends and family here are the numbers of what we decided
out of 1000 people 50 say they would stay with Clinton 200 were already Clinton fans and 750 would not vote for the Dems but vote for Mchain to show how much we distrust the Clintons.

Does anyone listen? So judgemental! She WILL be voting age at election time. You people better wake up and pay attention. She is an intelligent girl and part of the future of this country. Her opinion DOES matter. Quit discounting the brains of the young. They're not all saggy-pants-wearin, superficial morons as most of you elude to.

I can't believe people are saying they "don't care what she thinks". She's a voter. So her opinion matters just as much as yours does. the only twist is that a video of her was used to promote a candidate that she doesn't side with. If you can argue that it was a valid statement to use an video of a innocent child sleeping to shake up some votes (and I can't understand why they would use this video in the first place, other than to pressure people into voting their way); if this tactic is "okay" with you, then it should also be "okay" that the people who are actually in the video get to say what they couldn't say in the ad. This one just ends up biting Clinton in the behind. She (Clinton) reminds me so much of Wiley Coyote. She is always plotting and then BOOM.. it backfires on her (esp. true when they debated). It's actually comical.

Why am I not surprised that someone who needs to be in front of the camera would support Obama? Obama is one big media creation

Couldn't Hillary have gotten volunteers from her own campaign rather than using stock footage? Seems a little dull witted and uncreative to me.

WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?

Any would-be President will tell you that they will be President for ALL.
Whether you are Republican, Democrat, Independent or whatever.

Perhaps OBAMA aspires to be President to only those who support him.

What a pity !!!!!

what a smart girl after all...

barack obama is able to enthuse such young voters --- that's a big deal for the democratic party.
and it's an even bigger deal for the youth who have finally found interest in voting.

most of hillary's supporters keep on derisively calling obama as saint. i'd say between the two of them, if honesty, fairness and being dignified (the requisites to being a true leader of our country), then so be it. he's so much more a saint that either clintons.

She is 17 will be 18 prior to election day, and 17 year olds in Washington can particiate in the cacus as long as they turn 18 prior to election day. She not only supported Obama in the Caucus, but was a precinct captain for her cacus.

In this most amazing race irony and satire seems to be everywhere you look! Too bad this negative fear-mongering add already did it's damage...much like NaftaGate that was a complete and utter lie put out by the Clinton campaign. It really is time for change!
Once again, CNN is airing free press in support of the Obama campaign.

Perhaps Ms. Knowles ought to think twice before speaking out about her political support to Obama, especially if she receives residuals for the television footage. It just may come back to haunt her and hit her in the pocketbook. Just ask the Dixi Chicks or Whoopi Goldberg, both of whom were subjected to backlash for expressing their political beliefs.

I think it's pretty funny, the 3am gilr wants Obama to answer the phone. The girl's got a good head on her shoulders. Not because she's an Obama supporter, but because of how she carries herself in the media. How would you guys act if your image showed up in an ad for someone you didn't support? Some of the responses here make me shake my head in disbelief.

Ms Knowles, you GO girl!

Being a part of the Baby Boom generation, tI find the current political environment is somewhat reminiscent of the late 60's with youthful idealism on the upswing. While I think this is a good thing and helpful to have the entire electorate starting to become involved, I think it bears mentioning that as adults we have the benefit of perspective and we learn to temper our idealism with wisdom and practicality.

I am very thankful of the 40 or so years of reflection I have had to make me understand the difference between what I felt was important at the time versus what is truly important and responsible.

I feel that McCain is the only candidate of either party who is able to straddle party lines and who truly has the ability to bring us together as a nation. Many are buying into the Obama campaign rhetoric, but it must be seen through the lens of his meager accomplishments to this point plus his extremely partisan and liberal voting record (when he has found the courage to actually vote).

Can your network be any more blatantly bias toward Obama. It’s news that a girl who made money sleeping for a stock photo commercial doesn’t support the message of the commercial. Give me a break.

You might remember the demographics of your audience. Trust me they are not the young people who support Obama.

To all those people complaining that this article isn't newsworthy.. well, that's why it's on the Political Ticker! From the types of articles on the Ticker, they seem more anectodal than major ground-breaking stories. They are just tidbits of info to keep everyone that is looking for new gossip satisfied. The real stories don't end up on the Ticker, they end up as separate stories.

The real stories don't end up on the Ticker, they end up as separate stories.

What has always bothered me about this 3AM ad is that Senator Clinton seems to answer the phone and make a crisis decision. So far so good.

But I tend to get worried about snap 3 AM decisions, especially one from someone who in the clear light of day so easily voted for the war in Iraq thinking, "as she put it that President Bush wouldn't really use the authority we gave him--and actually go to war."

Personally, I like folks thinking about things just a little more carefully before sending us into another Iraq, Vietnam, what ever. A few advisors might be nice--you know like generals, etc. No?

Clinton supporters on here saying what's the big deal would not be saying that if it was the other way around.
The media has been trasghing Obama for over a week now because she cried boo hoo,and they obviously see this as a negative story for her.Now they are saying, what's the big deal.
If it's not a big deal, then why are you on this site stating anything.
As an independant,I find that it's mostly clinton supporters that spew out hatred. This does not help your candidate who wants those independant votes.
Also,Obama has set more laws and policies in the senate than clinton,so give up the "no experience" argument.
And,if he's so...inexperienced why is clinton now saying oh he'd be on her ticket(uh,she's still behind him).
You can't have it both ways.
Clinton, her camp, and suppoters have been so...negative and down right nasty, that I would not vote for her-EVER!
Clinton needs Obama supporters more than Obama needs hers.
She will not get them.

To Obama and all of his supporters. Go ahead and bash Hllary all you want. And Obama you stated that you do not need Hillary as VP (which I cannot imagine she would want anyway) if you were the nominee. Well, all of you will be needing Hillary supporters if Obama gets to be nominee and guess what - we will not want him.

Wait. To the people who are saying "I can't believe this is news", or "I can't believe CNN is reporting this."
You know they ARE reporting OTHER news, don't you? This isn't the ONLY thing on cnn.com. It's actually only a tiny blurb among MANY other news listed on the site. It just sounds like you're a little upset over the news itself, which is fine. Just be straight forward about it, ok?
