Obama rejects being Clinton's No. 2

CNN

Watch Obama's comments Monday.

(CNN) - Sen. Barack Obama Monday flatly rejected suggestions that he would be a vice presidential running mate for Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Both Clinton, Obama's rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, and her husband, former President Clinton, have suggested a joint Clinton-Obama ticket - with Obama in the second slot.

"Senator Clinton is fighting hard. She's tenacious. I respect her for that. She is working hard to win the nomination. But I want everybody to be absolutely clear. I'm not running for vice president. I'm running for president of the United States of America," Obama told supporters during a rally in Columbus, Mississippi.

It's ironical that people in US always view election in a third world country is kind of corrupted or full of fraud, now this election in US is going to be the biggest soap opera for the whole world to see!

It just going to show the world that how far Hillary Clinton will go to try to win the nomination, fooling voters by "offer" Obama the VP slot, even though she's way behind!

This will also show the world how corrupted the "democratic process" in US could be.

The only "number two" in this race is Hillary Clinton. I can smell her campaign from here.

If he was smart, Obama would take these scraps the Clintons are offering while he has the chance..

This all or nothing attitude that Obama and his wife has, is very telling! It's that spoiled brat theme that I keep seeing from the 2 of them. I guess being Vice President wouldn't be a great idea knowing his wife has forbid him to run for President ever again!! If I can't have it all, I want nothing!! Typical for a young man who took half of his theme from The Bob The Builder kids show.......We can fix it Yes We Can!

Why would Obama even consider being Number Two when he is clearly Number One now and he will be Number one in both June and November?

    Who is advising Hillary?....Rove?....Blitzer?

Pride precedeth the fall. Why would anyone who really wants to help lead this country to higher ground not at least consider being the Vice President? So his candidacy really is all about making sure Hillary Clinton is not President, even it means giving the election to McSame as Bush (which will happen if Obama the Arrogant is the nominee).

It's not her position to offer anything ... What a political charade! This is what a Clinton Admin would consist of... I'm voting for Obama for President not Vice President!

If you are a Clinton supporter do you not see the illogical political inconsistency of your candidate?

    ( I know... I'm an Obama supporter, so I'm obviously a copy-cat.)

Low politics from Clinton... in my opinion.

    Good response from the leader.

Hillary is much better than to choose Obama as a Vice President, she needs to choose someone with dignity and alot less baggage, like Richardson or Edwards.

Let me guess, he rejects and denounces? I'm sure that somebody was going to say it. So stupid. I can already see that Obama is not going to be the nominee. Without Florida, Ohio, and Michigan, we are doomed to fail in the General Election.
