Exit polls: Obama viewed as more honest

(CNN) – Mississippi Democratic voters view Barack Obama more honest and trustworthy than Hillary Clinton, exit polls indicate.

Roughly 7 in 10 voters said Obama was honest and trustworthy, while only a little more than half said the same for Clinton.

But Clinton voters appear to view Obama in a more negative light than Obama voters view Clinton.

Greater than 9 in 10 Clinton voters said Obama was not trustworthy, while roughly 7 in 10 Obama supporters said the same of Clinton.

If the Hillary Clinton campaign had not sought to polarize this contest based on race, the media would have anyway. There must be something in the water that drives the white media to spin race. Nothing seems to make you happier, especially when it allows you to minimize a Black candidate's credentials and accomplishments.
I don't care what the Clinton campaign says about the big states. She is acting as though she was running as a republican in those states. The argument is bogus and nobody would be reporting on it if Obama was behind in delegates and advancing it.

Why is the name of this article "Obama viewed as more honest"? 9 out of ten Hillary supporters say Obama is not trustworthy and only 7 in 10 Obama supporters say that Hillary is not trustworthy. This was the last of the Obama-friendly states. Let's see what the polls say in the future.

How many things has this arrogant Junior Senator lied about in the past few weeks. He has said 5 different things about the NAFTA meeting with Canada (did they meet, did they not meet—in the end he admitted that they did). And what about Tony Rezko.... Obama has only been in public office for 3 years and he is already consorting with known criminals.

It's easy to be perceived as honest when you choose not to answer the questions. He just did it again to Wolf.

AH! "Race" this, "race" that–driving me nuts! RACE ASIDE... I agree that Obama appears to be more honest; and frankly, if I had to invite one of them to dinner, it would be him. That being said, this is not the time to gamble! Give Obama a little more experience, and put him on the ticket in 8 years! Right now, we desperately need a president who knows how to run a country. This is a very dangerous time for rookie mistakes! Clinton has experience and in my mind comes with a "guarantee." Clinton '08.

honest and trustworthy? Based on what exactly?
This is the exact reason why I am not voting for the man. He says everything a person wants to hear and promises the moon. All I can say if the man gets in office he best do "everything" he said he's going to do on every one of those issues.
States are suffering and looking for change and someone that really cares, not blind promises. I'm so worried where this all is leading and the issues that are important and the people will keep suffereing

BTW, I just heard on CNN that California won't vote for anyone but a democrat. I disagree.

offcourse, all blacks from MS will say Obama is more honest. What happened to that NAFTA issue?
Obama won MS only becuase of his color of skin. Anyone can figure this out. CNN is not talking about this reason for him to win. All so called expert team of CNN are in love with Obama due to their personal anticlinton ideas. Shame.....

Gee what a novel concept, voting for someone because they are honest! If more people did that, then Hillary Clinton would have been out of the running ages ago because honest is one thing she is not! People take your blinders off and vote for the candidate with integrity, Barack Obama. And as for all this race nonsense, do I need to go out and buy an "old white lady for Obama" ... not all white over 55 females are blindly voting for that woman candidate and for good reason, we don't trust her as far as we could throw her.

When it comes to honesty, they are politicians and that means dishonesty. They will both attempt, at the very least, to make their mistakes and bad choices look less bad. At the worst, they will outright lie about them.

As to who has been more honest, I think Senator Obama has been more forthright and honest when he speaks. I believe she is significantly more dishonest in her dealings with the voters than he is, though I don't think, by any means, that he is totally pure and innocent either.

The writing is on the wall.

And Rush Limbaugh is dancing in the streets.

It doesn't surprise me that Obama suppporters see Hillary as more trustworthy than Clinton supportes do Obama. Obama supporters are younger (19-29) and don't quite remember the bad old days of the Clinton administration when there was a new scandal every other week. Voters: PLEASE DO SOME RESEARCH!! The folks who support Clinton are older, loyal to the establishment and much more jaded. They do not trust this young upstart are angry about it (see Geraldine Ferraro comments)and feel this presidency was Hllary's payback for having to put up with her philandering husband. Young folks out there don't realize the miracle they're performing. Chalengeing the old political machine and changing how things will be conducted in the future. WOW!!

Of course Hillary-supporters tend to think of Obama in a more negative light. When Hillary and her campaign surrogates talk about Obama in a negative tone, the more uneducated her supporters are the more likely they are to believe her and her surrogates. Obama has focused more on solutions for America than Hillary has. Hillary is constantly attackly Obama because he is the front runner. Go to Hillary Clinton's website and compare it to Barack Obama's website. You will easily see a lot more negative attacks against Obama versus Obama vastly more positive campaign website. Check it out for yourself!

How can you view Clinton as anything but DISHONEST? She has proven her deceitfulness time and time again. Her husband was IMPEACHED for PERJURY. Since she stayed with him after his philandering was publicly announced, she must be ok with his being a liar which means she's one too.

    Let me get this straight.

You guys tap dance a whole pile of 'data' when you can MILK it for Obama.

You got 90% of black folks voting for Obama, and use this as PROOF he is more honest, more appeal to OLDER blah blah blah

How about the fact he simply gets 90% of the black vote. Like he has got ALL ALONG.

They are all going to say he is the best leader, most honest blah blah.

You cant tapdance 'stats' when you have a GLARING racist vote staring you in the face.

    It overrides everything.

OBAMA will be the next President of the United States. Hillary is not trustworthy and people feel the bad energy with the Clintons. He will be the best President we have ever had in many years. He would have won California if given enough time. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express my views.

Joanna, It is easy to find out about the vote count. Hilary only wins most big states by a small to slim margin. Obama wins a few big states, most medium and small states by an average of 20 to 30 percent. Obama now lead by almost a few hundred thousand votes nationwide. Simple math. Even with Florida and Michigan, he'd be up by over 90 thousand.
