I wish Ferraro hadn't worded what she was trying to say, the way she did. But, it is over now. What she said (coming from her) was not racist it was a fact and you all know it. If Obama's people do not want comments that seem racist, then quit making sexist comments. After all what is good for the Goose is good for the Gander. It seems like no one is allowed to say anything negative about Obama. But Obama's camp can say anything it wants, then hide behind racism. Do not get me wrong I will vote for which ever democratic candidate wins. Show some respect if you want to be respected. I know racism exists I do not like it. Sexsim also exist and I do not like that either. Hillary, I know will fight and work very hard to get through what is good for most Americans, I do not know anything about Obama.

Your comments are an outrage not what Ferraro said. She is entitled to her opinion. And you should notice the pattern: media and Obama are indeed using any comment that has anything to do with the race card to hurt Hillary. Open your eyes. That 90% vote for Obama by black voters .. this is based on race. It is too disproportional. Thats all she said! Not politically correct but true. Twisting her words is what media and Obama campaign did. Of course, he would do anything to hurt Hillary. This was the number 1 Principle of the Uniter's campaign. Divide and Conquer.

How come Clinton is taken to task for Ferraro's comment when Obama is never asked to reject the comments of his 20-year minister, mentor and friend, Jeremiah Wright? I found Ferrao's comments actually pretty factual, but Obama's minister's comment contain anti-white venom.

There was nothing wrong with her comments. They were taken out of context. She merely spoke the truth. If you say anything about Obama then you are a racist. Interesting how the media only reports the first sentence of her comments not the entire discussion. The fact of the matter is that Obama has done nothing since coming to the Senate except write a book and campaign for President. He is not even able to do the job he was elected to do because in his words "he has been busy campaiging"!! I do not understand the Obama bandwagon but that is ok - because he will not be President since the Democrats have succeeded in dividing the party – and effectively giving the Presidency to John McCain.

There has never been a black candidate, since jackson, that made it this far in the election. If your implications is that Black people only vote for black, the answer is no. We voted for John Kerry, Bill Clinton, Al gore, and etc. We did not sustain form voting because someone was white, or a women. This is so dumb. Not once did the Obama camp claim what Ferraro said was racist. She and the media just totally turned it around that way. The Obama camp just said it was divisive and insulting.

Imagine if someone in the Obama campaign had said: "Hillary wouldn't be where she is right now if her last name wasn't Clinton."

To the Clinton supporters who are up in arms about this and saying that what Ferraro said is true, Obama's only where he is because he's black. think about this statement:

Hillary is only where she is because he last name is Clinton.

How is that any different?

CNN, please post this. People need to realize that if Obama is only where he is because he's a black man, that Hillary is only where she is because he last name is Clinton, and see how that feels to hear it put that way.

CNN – why is this woman still in the news? If she wants to turn off the "spigot of hatemail" , my suggestion to her would be to realize what she said was offensive and apologize rather than continue to advocate her racist view. The reader who posted the comment about Lieberman was spot on .
