It's absurd and belittling (to the voter) to think that Obama did not know of Wright's philosophies or teachings. Obama has been a member of the church since 1991 and a friend of Wright's for even longer. For a guy preaching "transparency" and "honesty", why not be a bit more honest and less insulting to us.... And, here's the big question: if you don't believe in Wright's ideology, then why did you maintain your longlasting membership in his church?

The pastor's comments were made a very long time ago and now, only now, Obama is denouncing them? Why did he keep him around so long, stay allegiant to him? Clinton dumped Ferraro within a few days.
