What Spitzer did was abominable on at least several accounts: 1) Paying for a prostitute is illegal, whether you think it should be or not. 2) He was the governor, and before that the Attorney General of NY. That gives him that much *more* reason to be obeying the law. 3) He *prosecuted* prostitution rings, apparently at the same time he was frequenting a prostitute. 4) Beyond all that, he used public money to *pay* for the prostitute(s).
