McCain is not the knight in shining armor many of you-undoubtedly Bush supporters-portray him to be. Don't you realize the egregious ironies in his foreign policy platform? He wants to stay in Iraq but no one has bothered to ask him why. With U.S. deaths now in the thousands, no rational mind can think this Iraq situation is not quickly becoming a Vietnam. McCain is lying to you. He wants to possibly attack an Iran that is already mortally fearful of their country being laid to waste by American hands like Iraq has been. And McCain, in his haste to sell Americans out to Mexican special interests, has no plan to control the border-which is the ACTUAL first line of defense in national security. This man is a fraud, a crude copy of George Bush, and he wants to outsource our border security to Mexico., giving illegals carte blanche to run amuck with impugnity. Don't be stupid people-this man is not what America needs in the White House.

1. McCain will not help America - he will destroy it.
2. If elected, McCain will invade Iran - next, he will have to bring back the draft. There is simply not enough troops to be in 3 wars.
3. McCain will overturn Roe v. Wade
4. Hillary does NOT have the experience to be President - whatever "experience" means. If being first lady quaifies, Laura Bush may as well run on the same ticket as McCain.
5. Hillary voted for this war - gave Bush benefit of the doubt.
6. Enough is enough - OBAMA '08.

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG - PEACE

OOH I cannot wait for McCain to be our next president. We can bomb Iran and reinstate the draft to boost the number of troops in the Middle East...we'll then be in a position to steal all the oil we want and need, thus preventing the rest of the world from having it....we will again be the #1 dominating economy and military in the world...the $ will rise to pre-911 levels. We won't have to worry about man-made global warming and rising CO2 leval els since it is a figment of the liberal imagination and the creepy Al Gore. We will not have any new taxes and we will enjoy the benefits of permanent tax cuts. Then we will balance the budget by 2012. All this has been envisioned by the neocons of the present administration and is the prophetic future of or country. So what if we owe trillions to China et al. They won't call in their loans. We will have as strong an ecomony as we do now. HUH? I can tell as many lies as I want and they will be considered the truth because if I say them often I will be believed eventually. I also have for sale a Caribbean island for practically nothing...I am for REAL! NOT! Gotcha!

Wow, give the Senator the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE! I hope he, VP Cheney, and Sen. Leiberman asked Iraqii leaders why they invited Iranian President Ajmajinidad to Baghdad. For that action alone we should bring our men and women in uniform home.

Iraqii's are not stepping up to the plate to take responsiblity for their own security just as Sen. McCain is not stepping up to the plate to denounce President Bush for vetoing the bill that would ban waterboarding. He has stated emphatically in Republican Primary Debates that "Americans don't torture". So much for the "straight-talk" express.

What astounds me is not the politician who votes for the unjust war but the people who keep on electing or re-electing the politician who does so.

It is a vicious circle. A lot of people seem to vote for a pro war politician arguing that he/she is strong in national defense. The politician then uses the "we are at war and I have the experience" card and people buy into that and re-elect him/her. People who have this voting pattern do not bother to ask if the politician is taking them to unjust war. And they seem to fail to recognize that war is generally a dehumanizing force.

Richard, can you hear me! You said, "McCain is the right person to lead this nation at this time." How so? Both Clinton and McCain voted for the unjust war. Unjust because no WMD and no link to Al-Qaeda, the prime reasons for going to war, are found. So why do you believe his is the right person at this time?

Talk about Pork Barrel spending and pointing fingers on your
way out of the USA, as you spend our taxpayer money to charge
$1,000 a plate in London to raise money for your campaign. I
believe that was one big reason for the trip and , of course, treating your cronie friends to fun and games.AND this is the only news
you can come up with. Didn't we already know that. CNN has their reporters their everyday reporting the real happenings.
Iraq and Afghanistan were only added to this trip at the last minute.

OBAMA 2008. OR NO ONE

Iran training soldiers and sending arms into Iraq....given that we started a war along their border, why wouldn't they? We would train Canadians and send arms into Canada if Saddam had invaded them. Iran has more vested in the region than we do. Geez we are self-righteous and hypocritical.

How many Caucasion Americans are looking for other reasons not to vote for Obama! Many of them because they don't want to make it look like they are not voting for Obama because if his skin tone! Thanks to all the media outlets ignorant Americans can now say "hey I'm not voting for Obama because of what his Pastor said!" Pat Robertson, Billy Falwell and so many other Right wing Ministers have said much worse thatn Pastor Wright? Where's the video? I agee 100% with what Pastor Wright said, and maybe if most of you listened to what is being said you might have a better chance at understanding African Americans a little better!

People are problems with Iran are rooted in our meddling which goes back to the mid-50s when we, along with Great Britain, over-threw their democratically elected, yes, democratically elected president (after he nationionlized the oil companies in Iran) and re-placed him with the Shah.

The Shah then proceeded to rule with an iron fist. Remember SAVAC his secret police? That is the reason we have trouble with Iran, it is nothing they did to us, it is what we, our country, have done to them.

McCain's continued pandering to the right-wing christianists as well as his total lack of understanding of economics are enough to see that he is not the next president.

Um McCain is the same one that was singing BOMB BOMB BOMB, BOMB BOMB BOMB IRAN. Of course he was just playing! McCain is know for having a short temper and he is going to have his hand on the button if he is elected President! He's going to War within the first year of office so he can further the George & Dick plolicies and finish stripping the Constitution to threads! What makes McCain a hero anyway, is it because he was a POW? He shouldn't have gotten himself caught in the first place, meaning he shouldn't of been over there anyway!

Any reason why CNN forgot to mention that McCain committed a major gaffe today?

If you don't know the difference between the rival factions in Iraq, you shouldn't be Commander in Chief. John McCain doesn't know the difference.

A vote for McCain is a vote for not a 3 trillion price tag for the Iraq War, but a 6 trillion price tag. Our economy just can't kept absorbing this kind of spree. That's why McCain can't follow in Bush's footsteps. Only a Democratic will get us out of the war.

Thanks for erasing the first one CNN.

For all of you who think we lured Iran into Iraq, think again. They have been there for 2000 years. They fought an 8 year war with each other in the 1980,s. Oh, I forgot, the pre-pubescent Obama supporters would not have been alive then.

Iran, is been sporting terrorism for 29 years.
But now with the potential of becoming a nuclear power, they are much more dangerous.
Why democrats are so afraid of confronting Iran.

Has anyone actually read the article? McCain said he'd work for sanctions on Iran, not go to war. Big difference. I'm sure John McCain is not looking forward to mare war, and wants it to end asap. However, he's not stupid enough to just leave and let radical groups come in a take over. It happened in the past, he does not want it to happen again.

He cares about the American people, but most Americans are too ignorant to understand.

It's all well and good for people to oppose war, but honestly, the American people know very little about what is actually going on. There are terrible things that the general public cannot even begin to wrap their feeble little minds around. So shut up and quit whining. We're in there whether you like it or not, and it's stupid to not finish.

I cannot even entertain the thought of voting for Obama. His "words" are meaningless. He has a practically non-existant congressional voting record, and when he does vote, it's consistantly to the left. He will never unite the parties, and he has NO experience. Sure, he talks the talk, but can he deliver on all those empty promises? I cannot vote for someone who thinks that words and rainbows and "hope" are gonna fix the US.

This does not mean I favor Hillary, at all, but at least she has a little experience.

John McCain will cross party lines, and help America. He's the only hope to get rid of this partisan mentality, which will become the downfall of the US.

George Washington was right, political parties suck.

Iran is stronger as the result of the Iraq war, and now seeing what was done to Iraq has a legitimate reason to seek nuclear weapons. They may have been swayed before Iraq was invaded but look at their options. Risk a future invasion by McCain or build a nuclear deterent. You'd have to be stupid not to see that. Iran will certainly build nuclear weapons if McCain gets in then we're all screwed.

OBAMA 08
March 18th, 2008 1:32 pm ET

IRAN WAS NOT THERE BEFORE MCCAIN AND HILLARY VOTED FOR IRAQ WAR. WHY DOES HE THINK WE ARE THAT STUPID.
*****
Saying Iran was not there before the war is like saying Al Qaeda and the Taliban weren't in Afghanistan before the war there...I'm not an American...but if I was I would definately vote for McCain. I like Obama...don't like Clinton...although I must admit I do like former president Clinton...but McCain as president seems like the only rational choice for the age we live in. I don't want a third world war...but...yes but...it took a couple world wars to see Europe get to where it is today...maybe the middle east would turn out to be just as united and prosperous if it things went in that direction. That being said...hopefully the middle east can achieve what Europe has without a world war. Either way...McCain is the man. Just my lonely opinion.

"Iran may be training Iraqi extremists in Iran and then sending them back into Iraq." Is NOT what he said. He said "al-Qaeda is going back into Iran and receiving training and are coming back into Iraq from Iran, that's well known. And it's unfortunate."
Lieberman corrected him.
Nice job, CNN.

Woa! Hold the phone, McCain didn't say anything about war.

He didn't even talk about "all options" being on the table. He's stating that he will kick the crap out of Iran through sanctions to get what we want, not go to war with them.

Iran is a serious threat to us and our allies. Anyone who thinks that the Middle East isn't a terrifying place for Americans certainly has not been there and spoken to the people.

Where is this kneejerk reaction to John McCain coming from? He's a wise, honorable, and moderate war hero. Sure, he supported the war; almost everyone did, including Hillary Clinton. But he wouldn't have gotten us into this mess, and he's the best man for the job of getting us out.

Sorry Grandpa, ain't buying these scare tactics. We've been through enough with the idiot in the White House now. Can't go through another four years of the same. We'll all be broke except you and your cronies. We need to get the hell out of that area, get off the dependence of their oil and start focusing on what's going on here at home. Wake-up.

mccain is just another nitwit talking stuff he doesnt understand. a clown at his age, should go and farm in Arizona. he cant (nor George w) grasp that oil prices are where they are because of Iraq war. The economy is at its knees because of the loads of money needed to fuel it (16 billion a month!). This guy is ridiculous and so are all his supporters. Obama is coming to get you all!

Rather than giving McCain yet another photo-op why aren't you reporting the most significant aspect of his sppearance for our American electorate. Until Joe Liberman came up behind him and whispered in his ear, the Presumptive Grandstander was repeatedly saying COMPLETELY ERRONEOUS things about "Al Qaeda" .....
THIS is the story! A presidential candidate vaunting his foreign relations "expereince" doesn't even know the facts of what's going on!!!!!!!

Report it.

Iran has weapons in Iraq? So what? If a huge foreign power illegally invaded the US wouldn't you expect Canada to help us?
Cheney' and McCains statement that things are succesful in Iraq is breathtaking in its audacity. Such BS is on the scale of propaganda dispensed by the liars in the Third Reich

Casual observer,,

boooooo, al-qaida is coming, booooooo
are you scared yet?

"WAR ON TERROR" is a slogan, you cannot fight a tactic, but you can scare people into giving up their rights, well you can scare the Republicans. BOOOOO

Us Democrats have had enough of this crap, you know no health care, taxes for the rich, wars, extra right wing supreme court who put corporations before people, morgage crisis, bailing out of corupt companies while people keep losing their homes.

Should I keep going. OK I will, Hurricane Katrina victims who still haven't gotten the aid promised to them, spying on peole without warrants, detention of people without charging them with a crime....

ENOUGH is ENOUGH

No to McCain, not to Bushes 3rd term, and no to these CORUPT REPUBLICANS
