Murtha endorses Clinton

 Murtha endorsed Clinton Tuesday.
Murtha endorsed Clinton Tuesday.

(CNN) - Pennsylvania Rep. John Murtha announced Tuesday he's backing Hillary Clinton's White House bid.

In a statement, Murtha said Clinton is "the candidate that will forge a consensus on health care, education, the economy, and the war in Iraq.

"I've known Senator Clinton for fifteen years," he said. "I know that she continually reaches out for opinions and ideas not just from our nation's leaders, but from all Americans."

Murtha’s announcement comes several weeks before the critical Pennsylvania Democratic presidential primary. He is also the latest so-called Democratic “Super Delegate” to choose sides in the contest between Clinton and Barack Obama. According to CNN's latest estimate, Clinton leads Obama among super delegates by 30, though that margin is significantly less than it was before Super Tuesday.

Does he not realize that she has lost the nomination? Why is he jumping on her side when it's time to stop this in-fighting and move on to the nomination.

It's time for Hillary to stop hurting the party to further her own political agenda.

If the Superdelegates pick Hillary and takes it away from Obama, that would be the biggest mistake the party has ever made. I for one, will not vote for Hillary if she wins that way.

What, are superdelegates just betting on who might win now? Unfortunately, he might be betting correctly, since Hillary has this election rigged anyway.

Yep, the Geezers With Wheezers will all come out for Hillary, who hasn't successfully wooed a voter under 40 since 1992.

That is terrific! He is endorsing a woman that should not be a role model for all women and cannot even manage her own marriage. How many other women, including Hillary supporters, would stay with a man that cheats on her publicly at least three times (ex: Jennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Monica Lewinsky)??? Yet they are all looking up to this woman.

In addition – ask yourself "why does she stay with him?" Is it love? Is it for the power? Is it for her ambition? If it is for the last two – she will do and endure anything to be president. That is disgusting and she is no better than "Kristen" but at least Kristen is open about her business.

Glad that Murtha and the Hillary supporters have chosen such a great, upstanding candidate with such great leadership skills.

    McCain in 08.

    Way to go Clinton

Obama's church claims to be enemies of white people. Whats up with that?

What did I ever do to blacks, we have been working for over 30 years to provide equallity.

According to Obama'a Pastor they do not want equality they want sapremicy. Obama needs to step down.

I am a cross over was Obama, cannot be now

Good judgment Murtha! After this 20 years hate feeding frenzy fiasco by the Obamas, is there any doubt that the ONLY electable democrat candidate is HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON?

We should expect nothing less from an old time Washington insider. To move forward you need to be willing to learn from the past. Murtha has messed up everything else he has ever done, why should his support be right this time.
