Michigan voters, GET OVER IT. You have no one to blame except those who decided to break the rules. And Hillary's plan wants to break more rules. What kind of example is SHE setting? Cheater.

Obama's answer to every situation is to have someone write a speech that he can deliver with the appearance of true conviction. He never called his congress people in Washington to beg them not to sign the resolution, He never gathered petitions against the war, He never marched on Washington to protest the war. He never wrote to the media about his disapproval of the war. He did give one prewritten speech. He never walked out on the racist anti-American remarks of his spiritual mentor. He never stood up for his white family members when this pastor said inflammatory remarks about whites in America. He didn't even defend his own mother. He didn't remove his children when this pastor spewed hatred from the pulpit. But when it started to hurt him politically, he kept America waiting until his speech writers got just the right words, then he delivered another wonderful speech. Personally, I want someone who can talk for themselves, and who can ACT when action is necessary. He's all smoke with no fire.

CNN: I have watched CNN for years. Almost all day long. But I will no more. I have repeatly left you messages requesting that you be fair and unbias and you have not done so. The delegates in Michigan and Florida should be seated according to the January vote. Senator Obama removed his name from the Michigan ballot but encouraged people to support him by voting uncommitted. The uncommitted received 40% of the vote. Senator Clinton didn't campaign there at all and received 55%. Seat the delegates according to this vote in Michigan. In Florida, both Senator Obama and Senator Clinton had their name on the ballot. The vote was fair. Howard Dean: Punish Florida and Michigan by making them vote last in 2012. Do not punish all of the voters who voted. They came out and voted for who they wanted. Senator Obama: Please don't prevent the voices of Michigan and Florida voters to go unheard. It will be you who lose in the Fall. Do the right thing. Give Howard Dean the okay to seat the delegates as is. Senator Obama: You did not tell the truth to Anderson Cooper. If you are so God loving, then do the right thing. The speech you gave yesterday will mean so much more if you do the right thing. Even if you lose, you went down honestly. Maybe you can't do what is right because you have been listening to the wrong minister. Rev. Wright is wrong. Also, Senator Clinton has worked for this country for 35 years. She has worked so hard. Let her have the delegates that she received in January. You will still get delegates. Do the right thing Senator Obama. Do the right thing. Pray about it. God will lead you to do the right thing and let these delegates be seated. What good will it be to win the battle but lose your soul in the process. God knows your soul Senator Obama.

I am fan African-American female, and I just want to say that I am furious with Sen. Obama and his campaign for blocking the deating of the Florida and Michigan delgations -"by any means possible".
Sen. Obama speaks nobly about the right to vote--but clearly cares nothing about dis-enfranchising voteers--if they are not voting for him.
Obama is willing to engage in very unsavory tactics --going as low as necessary to win the nomination. Obama is so twisted up in getting the nomination--he has completely lost sight of the fact that the Democratic party needs to win the Fall election, and we cannot do that without strong showings in Florida and Michigan.
The Obama campaign has a deal going with Chairman Dean, and it is at is just horrible. I totally have lost respect for his campaign due to these strategies. This Fall, I do see any states that Obama won tipping the balance for the Democrats, or changing from red to blue.

Obama can write all the speeches he wants. It will take him nowhere. There is a dirty tactic going on with comments.I hope those Obama fanatics have not invaded the page. Some are being coached by someone. It will not work. The voters are beginning to see the reality. I have sent over four comments to no avail.I guess an Obama surrogate is moderating them for another 20years

This really stinks as a fix. It will face serious complaints that it is a tainted process precisely because both states voted once already in clearly unsanctioned fashion, and yet, Clinton was declared the leader. The people in theses states especially Florida know of Hillary. Many are from Hillary's home state, NY. Because it was declared unsanctioned, no fault of Obama's, he was not allowed to campaign there. His name was NOT even on the Michigan Primary. The results also showed that many democrats (many that may have voted for Obama) did not go to the polls because they were told their votes would not count toward the National Convention. Hillary did go to Florida for fund raisers.

If this is the democratic way, then I and many others will turn away. Obama has brought a huge movement of people for change to the 2008 election process. Numbers that have not been seen before. Do this and get ready for a huge movement away to the other side. It looks to me and many others I'm sure, that the Democratic Party wants Hillary to steel this election. Very interesting that this wasn't an issue until Hillary and the party realized she had no chance to win. The number of delegates are not in her favor, with no hope to catch Obama. So now they want to change the rules. She even has her friends linded up ready to privately pay for a Michigan re-do. And, whats going to happen with the votes?
Ya, I smell a rat. In-fact the hole process has become a big rat hole. Rules are rules, follow them!

Michigan "broke the rules" in an act of civil disobedience - the choice of the early 4 states was incredibly unrepresentative, and after itsy-bitsy IA, the pundits were going to hand the nomination over to Obama (if only he'd won NH).

Now...nothing in the rules said a subsequent redo wouldn't be counted. We were told from 1/15 on that alllllll we had to do was do it allllll over again. I heard time and again from Obama supporters that he was alllll for a redo. OK. We're ready. DNC's on board, as long as the candidates are. MI legislature is on board, as long as the candidates are (at least those who aren't on Obama's campaign). Private parties are ready to fund it.

What's the holdup? OBAMA

He had his lawyer send a long letter peppered with frivolous "concerns" like "people might get confused". No suggestions for changes - just a flat-out criticism. His suggestion: 50/50 split. WHAT A JOKE! It's shamefully self-serving (and if it's not, it's incredibly poor leadership).

Michigan and Florida broke the rules. Follow the rules Hillary! Quit trying to change the rules for your benefit. Come to grips with it. You're done.

Release your tax returns and earmarks, and we knew you supported NAFTA in the 90s.

Obama isn't afraid of a FL and MI re-vote. Who is pulling that out of a hat? Obama can still win if FL and MI have a re-vote. But he's been consistent with following DNC rules- he's not just going to agree to a re-vote if the DNC isn't going to allow it.

All of you Hillary Clinton bandwagon supporters are trying to spin this.

Obama will still win even if they count FL and MI in a re-vote. You can't spin numbers and the math.

How is any of this Obama's fault. Michigan and Florida lawmakers new they would lose their delegates if they moved up their elections, but they did it anyways. Obama took his name off the Mchigan ballot (as did every other Dem except Hillary) as was requested. Now it is his fault that MI and FL Dems are idiots and Hillary can't follow the rules. Get a clue people. If MI and FL won't so concerned about having the "deciding" voice in the primary vote in the first place the Dems wouldn't be in this mess.

Other states change dates but DNC only choose to punish Michigan and Florida??

AND

Obama clearly stated in a Florida paper before the results--that every vote should count and he will fight for floridas vote to be counted??

CNN look into that and report real news...not the monica garbage stuff

I agree it's time for the super delegates to take charge. Hillary is out of control and needs to be stopped before she ruins the democratic party.

Michigan & Florida didn't follow the RULES so that is that!!

let's face it. if the contoversy regarding Barack Obama and Reverend Wright had been in front of us when the primaries began. Barack obama would have been out of the race very early on , and the democratic ticket would read! Clinton / Edwards wrather than Obama / Clinton. And if anyone can read between the lines it may come down to Clinton the choice to run for president and Edwards vice president. I don't see how the democratic party can allow Obama to remain in the senate and further more as a candidate for the highest position in our great nation. So !!! allow the revote in Florida and Michigan . take the votes from the remaining primaries and knock off 20% of Obamas votes for the previous primaries. As i said. had the American people known the facts about Obama prior to the primaries. He woul have been gone a long time ago.

Do a 50-50 split of the delegates including super delegates.. Then mount a recall of the governor and the rest of those fools in Michigan who failed to follow the party rules which they actually had a hand in crafting with the DNC.

Why is it up to Obama whether they vote. Should be state officials and the DNC. Not Obama or Clinton to decide.

Hillary will do anything to win including changing the rules and blaming other people. If she's behind in popular vote, then popular vote doesn't count...it's the delegates. If she's behind in delegates, then the delegates don't count...it's the big states (but only the ones she won, of course) If she's behind in number of states, delegates, and popular vote, then she wants to increase the size of the pie so she can take a whack at a bigger slice. There should be no revote in MI or FL. Unlike the other states that wanted to move their primary but didn't , FL and MI called the DNC's bluff. Now that it's time to pay the piper, they are claiming foul. But this is the price of calling a bluff...sometimes you loose. And somehow this is now Obama's fault , and Obama and the DNC are now un-American? Would someone please remind Hillary that she willingly placed her bet...going along with this until she started loosing states, delegates, and popular votes. She can't take her money out of the pot, and she can't change the game. She needs to play her cards or fold her hand and get out.

Hillary Clinton is trying to steal the election by changing the rules. Sen. Obama has won twice as many states, won more pledged delegates and won more popular votes. Hillary is a disgrace and should drop out of the race now!

You didn't follow the RULES you knew this would happen, you knew your votes would not count in the Presidential Race. What part don't you understand. This is not Obama's doing. Take responsibility for your actions. This could of been worked out before the election but Elected Officials in Michigan chose to sit on their hands. Quit whining about this. I will be mad if they count the votes, I know people who did not vote because it didn't count. They said they will vote democratic in the fall. FYI most of the time the Presidential Candidate is already chosen early on so it doesn't matter when everyone else votes.
Learn to follow the Rules!!!!

THE FACTS AS THEY ARE:

Obama is not responsible for Michigan and Florida vote note counting.
Hillary as like Obama agreed with the ruling that those votes would not count.
Hillary going to Michigan today is a clear indication that she is dishonest and has gone back on her very own words whn she stated that "Michigan would not count for anything."
THE ONLY REASON Hillary is now complaining is because she is behind in the race - no other reason. Everything else is jus plain politica script to fool gullible voters who refuse to do their own research.
Superdelegates are no fool and they know quite well how this is going to play out.

Obama doesn't have an alternative. He is too busy with his own pity party.
He took his name off the ballot. He does not want a re vote, nor does he want the votes to count as is. He is too busy trying to find dirt on Hillary so he can flip the script. He is not a leader or a uniter. He is a liar and a divider.

Own up to your words, Barack Obama! You can't unite a party when you're the only one blatantly disenfranchising voters! Once again, all talk and no delivery. I fear that will be a common motif if you ever make it into the White House.

Not only did they break the rules but they practically rigged the votes so that republicans can vote for hillary. Hillary supports are Dumb, u know why? cuz they fail to see that rebublicans know that Mccain has a better chance of going up against hillary becuz they got more crap on her to bash her with, thats why republicans are voting for her, not cuz they support her but becuz they want mccain to win presidency. American Hillary supports "USE UR HEAD" and stop trying 2 attack Obama on everything, U should be looking at the big picture.

Obama is the one who is blocking Michigan, Florida re-vote, I guessed it would be him. He talks about judgement, transparancy, says he listens to people.
1. Why is he blocking re-vote does n't he want people of Michigan,FL to be heard. If he blocks voters from voting, how can we trust him he will listen to us if he is president
2. Judgement: Everytime judgement comes he says he did not vote for war in Iraq, guess what he was not even in white house when senate voted on Iraq war otherwise he would have voted for Iraq too. Now he talks about judgement when he never had oppurtunity to vote/to cast his judgement. Oh wait what happened to his judgement when he heard anti-american controversial words from his pastor, I was outraged when I watched pastor comments, what type of judgement he had when he heard these controversial comments. I don't understand if Obama has good judgement how could he stand while pastor makes controversial statements, if he has good judgement then he would either corrected pastor or won't stand by hearing those statements
3. Transparancy: He always say he has transparancy with voters, but he lied to voters about pastor. Weekend Obama said he never heard his pastor, but in his speech he said he has heard his pastor talked about these controversial matters. Talk about transparancy !!! haha.

There is an incredible amount of mis information about the history behind the way the primaries and caucuses are scheduled. 5 years ago , the DNC commissioned a study to see if Iowa and NH which are not very diverse should continue to control the dem candidate nominating process. MI asked to be among the early vote states. After much study it was decided that 4 states would be first: Iowa, Nevada, NH and SC. All the other states agreed to this and all including the above mentioned signed an agreement. Then NH leapfrogged over Nevada and Iowa moved up its date. (the dates were to be Jan 14 to 29 for the 4 states) MI asked to vote early as well since two of the states had broken their pledge. The DNC gave a waiver and allowed NH and Iowa to move early- the RULES WERE NOT FOR THEM- so now MI and FL voters are punished. Does that mean the rules are for everyone or just some states. Additionally, MI does not allow voters to vote in both Rep and Dem primaries and they have specific rules governing first time voters as well as cross over. It is highly unlikely that Obama Dems voted Rep. and if they did, rules are rules- you can't vote in both parties.
Why not revote if you do not want to count the votes that were cast. Sen Obama did not have to take his name off the ballot in MI. 3 candidates did and 3 did not.
Why is Obama refusing to let people vote. I believe in a democracy not a suppression of votes.

Easiest compromise would be to seat the Florida delegates because everyone's name was on the ballot and nobody campaigned in the state. Well, actually, some of Obama's national TV ads went into the state, but we'll let that go in the interest of harmony. Conversely, do not count Michigan's delegates because all the candidate's names were not on the ballot. Hey, it's not perfect, but it's better than anything else is coming up with and no matter what, somebody's going to be unhappy. The point being, we need to end this. Get some balls, Dean.

Here's another case of Obama and his camp talking the big talk but not backing it up with any action. It's easy to criticize but harder to find solutions to your problems. Can I expect more of this IF Obama becomes president?

How can Democratic win general election without Mithigan and Florida? Obama will still lead in delegates even if he allows revotes.

So he would ruther get the nomination and loss the general election than help democrtic win this time?

Hey Anna,

I'm from Missouri too. Do you honestly believe Obama can win in Missouri? Claire demonstrated what a Democrat has to do to win in Missouri; St. Louis, KC and Columbia will vote for whomever the Democratic candidate is but that is not enough to win. For a Democrat to win Missouri he or she must be able to compete in outstate rural Missouri (doesn't have to win but does have to compete), Clintion beat Obama everywhere except KC, St. Louis and Columbia. Obama would lose Missouri and would drag the rest of the ticket down to defeat.

Obama is writing another speech ABOUT MICHIGAN? His speeches are not going to fix the fact that he has already lied to all the voters in previous states that never had the opportunity to hear the real Obama. Did he happen to mention TO THEM his long-term relationship with Rezko...NO! Did he deny at first, then admit the meeting with Canada....Yes! Did he sit and listen to 20 years of a racist-Anti-American-mentor-uncle.....Yes he did admit it after he had denied it............DID ALL THOSE VOTERS HE FOOLED INTO BELIEVING HIS "WORDS"..........."SPEECHES" EVER GET TO HEAR ALL THIS GARBAGE BEFORE THEY VOTED FOR HIM? NO! THE LAST TIME HE MENTIONED AN EXCUSE ABOUT COUNTING MICHIGAN IN, HIS REASON WAS NO BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T KNOW HIM WELL ENOUGH, AND EVEN FOR FLORIDA. SO WHAT LIES IS HE TELLING NOW. TRUTH IS, NOW THAT THEY REALLY KNOW HIM, THEY WOULD BE CRAZY TO VOTE FOR HIM. THAT IS WHAT HE IS AFRAID OF. HE IS A LIAR!

Um, I don't see how Obama is suppressing the Michigan vote. Last I read, a Democratic candidate for the Presidential nomination doesn't have the power to suppress the primary process in the state of Michigan, much less a candidate from outside Michigan. Only the Democrats of the state of Michigan can do that.

Not only that, but he can't blame the states' party problems on someone else, instead of accepting blame for their own decision to try to push their primary election in front of everyone else.

Obama is doing the right thing here. Staying out of this "resolution process" entirely, so that he can't be blamed for screwing it up or biasing it in his favor. Which is of course that Clinton will do, and then complain when she loses. It's amazing how Michigan and Florida Democrats are so eager to blame Bush for violating the law, and then go and violate their own agreed-upon election process. Now they can't even nominate someone to challenge the Republican candidate in November!

This has nothing to do with Obama. They ( Michigan and florida) decided to for go party rules. They made their bed. Now they get to sleep in it. I can tell by some of these responses it seems that to many of you will have an argument with your wife or husband and beat the kids for it. I guess that bad behavior has carried over to your politics.

Why are people upset with Obama? He and Clinton BOTH agreed that MI and FL broke party rules, and BOTH agreed to the same consequences - no delegates at the convention.

Now Clinton realizes that she is going to lose the nomination, so what does she do? She says it's a travesty that all of those votes are not counted. Why was it OK to "suppress" those votes two months ago, before Obama took a commanding lead of pledged delegates???

Michigan does not need a re-vote. But if that's what they decide than so be it. However, Hillary is so sure that she will win Michigan because she will play and has been playing on the same racial tension and fear that Barack Obama is attempting to address in a meaningful foward way. She is a race baiter and she BELIEVES....arrogantly, that she will win this nomination. Is she retarded?

Let the 2 million voters voices be heard!
Get real Obama...don't hide behind the DNC "rules". Rules can and should be amended depending on circumstances. No one expected a real tight race last year. Now that the race is so tight, its only fair that the voices of over 2 million voters account for something.
What are you so afraid of? In a re-vote, folks could change their mind and vote for you....so why worry!
Do you really want a nomination that ignored the input of 2 million voters?
Your current actions say, that you don't care about the 2 million voters, and are hiding behind the stupid 'rule' from last year. This is not good judgement....good judgement allows intelligent, smart people to adjust and bend the rules, if situation demands. This is that situation, and you need to give Florida and Michigan an opportunity to make an impact on the race. Don't think of only yourself, think of the democractic party, all the voters, and America. Your actions can make you win the nomination, but you'll definitely put-off lots of folks who will rather not vote, than vote for you!
