A new CNN poll shows Bush's approval has reached a new low.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Just 31 percent of Americans approve of how President Bush is handling his job, according to a poll released Wednesday, the fifth anniversary of the start of the Iraq war.

Sixty-seven percent of those questioned in a CNN/Opinion Research Corporation survey disapprove of the president's performance.

The 31 percent approval number is a new low for Bush in CNN polling, and 40 points lower than the president's number at the start of the Iraq war.

Bush reminds me of that one idiot everybody has at their work place, you know the guy who is so dumb and so arrogant that he doesn't know how idiotic he looks to everybody else.

...come to think of it BillO is the same way.

President Bush is an honorable man. Just like many leaders, they depend on the information they are provided by those with hands on. Despite all of the political bull being presented to the public, this president is NOT sustaining this war for any political gain. Face it, it's over for him. What would be the motivation? Do you honest believe there is some sort of hidden agenda? And what would that be? Don't you think we would all know what that is by now? Remember, congress isn't a Republican monopoly.
Fact is, for whatever the reasons were that got us here, we are where we are and we cannot back out irresponsibly. Clinton and Obomma both say the would withdraw. The reality is that we will have to stay for as long as we need to, regardless of who is in the Whitehouse.

The good side is that only 30% of the Iraqis support his actions so overall he is a loser.. like I said 8 years ago to bad we have had to have our noses rubbed in it to see the truth behind the man

Given the damage that this man has caused over the last 7 years, I find the 31 percent approval rating to be appallingly high.

I trully do feel sorry for the guy. I mean, he was in the wrong position at the wrong time. I think we should really try to understand him not just read headlines about him.

I didn't know that oil company execs and shareholders made up 31% of the U.S. population. I learned something new today.

Who are the 31 percent? How can that many people approve his performance, considering that only about 1 to 2 percent of the people are rich and making oddles of money from the war. Have his non-rich supporters been sleeping for the last 7+ years?

Downright frightening, especially when McCain has a chance to "stay Bush's course" if Hillary and Barack and the whole Democratic party don't get their respective acts together.

Our beloved President Bush needs to have a V8. He has just not gotten it. A truck must really fall on his head. He is the president of this country with a wife and children, and he continues to demonstrate that the only family in this country he is concerned about is his. He throws the term "American People" around as if it were a horseshoe. It hold no meaning to him.

And his vice president. Wow. I would ask him to have a heart, but he doesn't. He has a pace maker. Go figure.

I am surprised it is as high as 31%. Who are these 31%, rich oil and defense industry billionaires?

For some reason, I don't see as many of those "W" bumper stickers on peoples vehicles anymore. Wonder what happened to all of those?
