Just released schedules show Clinton was in the White House during many of her husband's encounters with Monica Lewinsky.

(AP) — Hillary Clinton was in the White House on a half dozen days when her husband had sexual encounters with Monica Lewinsky, according to the first lady's calendars released Wednesday. A look at her schedule on days when Lewinsky said she had sexual encounters with Bill Clinton:

–Nov. 15, 1995: The first lady was in a mid-afternoon "meet & greet" photo opportunity at the White House with various Nobel Laureates and their families. That night, Lewinsky had what she later said was her first sexual encounter with the president in the private study off the Oval office.

–Nov. 17, 1995: Mrs. Clinton had no public schedule and was at the White House. That night, Lewinsky said she had a sexual encounter with the president while he was on the phone in the White House with a member of Congress.

–Dec. 31, 1995: Mrs. Clinton had no public schedule and her calendar does not show her location. That afternoon, Lewinsky said she and the president had a sexual encounter in a study in the White House.

–Jan. 7, 1996: On a Sunday afternoon, Lewinsky and the president spent most of the afternoon in the Oval Office. The first lady and the president had a small dinner with 20 people at "the Old Family Dining Room" at the White House.

–Jan. 21, 1996: The first lady had no public schedule, but she and the president privately toured an exhibit at the National Gallery of Art. Lewinsky and the president had an afternoon sexual encounter in the hallway by the private study next to the Oval Office, Lewinsky said later.

–Feb. 4, 1996: Mrs. Clinton and the president attended the National Governor's Association annual dinner. Lewinsky said she and the president that day had a sexual encounter and their first lengthy and personal conversation.

–March 31, 1996: Mrs. Clinton toured an archaeological site and museum in Delphi, Greece, and watched a folk dance performance. That day, Lewinsky said she and the president resumed their sexual contact.

–Feb. 28, 1997: The schedule shows Mrs. Clinton was in the White House at least part of the day, when President Clinton and Lewinsky had oral sex near the Oval Office, leaving stains on her dress. There were no public events, but the schedule shows Mrs. Clinton had "drop by" events or meetings in the Map Room and Diplomatic Reception Room between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The schedule also lists plays and a concert that night, but it is not clear whether Mrs. Clinton attended.

–March 29, 1997: On the day when Lewinsky told independent counsel Kenneth Starr that she had her final sexual encounter with the president, Mrs. Clinton was thousands of miles away in Eritrea. In his grand jury testimony, the president denied this encounter. The first lady that day toured the Martyrs' Cemetery in Eritrea, where she participated in a wreath-laying ceremony and a tree planting. She also visited a health care clinic, spoke to villagers, and toured a polio vaccination room. She visited a woodworking center, held a round-table discussion with the National Union of Eritrean Women and met the country's president.

come on CNN. Give me a break!! This is news to you? What is wrong with America. media should not be biased. What will this story mean to Hilary, to the presidency. THIS HAS TO BE CNN's NEW LOWs!

Avis, Richton Park, IL   March 19th, 2008 6:12 pm ET

WOW!!!!!!!!!!! President Clinton had more sexual relations with that woman than I thought!!!

Clinton is a fraud   March 19th, 2008 6:12 pm ET

Now, let's see how the Clinton supporters will spin this story. She can't even manage her husband or what was she doing while they (Billwinsky) were at it?! Could she have been watching?? Oops

scbrown   March 19th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

This is why the American people feel sorry for public officials' wives, especially Hillary.

Thank you CNN for helping Hillary

Everytime the Media mention monica HIllary approval rating goes up.

PAVoter   March 19th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Yes, of course the White House is a small "starter home." How on earth could something go on with her in that tiny abode on the same day.

You guys are ridiculous. I figured you'd go right for the salacious content.

Louise   March 19th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Seriously…is this what you call news? The media and others demand the release of Hillary's records and the first story they come up with is that Hillary was in the White House on some of the days of Bill's encounters with Lewinsky. This is just pathetic journalism…you should be ashamed of yourselves CNN…

RK in Ohio   March 19th, 2008 6:14 pm ET

OBAMA: MICHIGAN AND FLORIDA
Obama does not accept the results of Florida and Michigan. He is against revote in Florida and Michigan. He has not alternative to suggest solving the problem. Basically his stance amounts to disfranchising millions of voters in Florida and Michigan. Can we entrust this nation’s reign into the hands of someone who tries to disfranchise millions of people in Florida and Michigan so that he gets elected? Absolutely not.

Dave in Alexandria, VA   March 19th, 2008 6:15 pm ET

So this woman can secure our border and safeguard our country? She can't even secure her husband's belt?

The only thing this woman has ever run are her marriage and her campaign.

And she wants to lead my country???

Ms.Brown   March 19th, 2008 6:15 pm ET

Are you kidding me?? And some want to say Obama lies because he want disown someone he loves because of "their" comments.

Why did Hillary disown Bill when he slept with Monica in the WHITE HOUSE right under her nose? I wouldn't trust the Clinton's with my gold fish let alone my country.

I know Senator Cliton wants to have things both ways over the Monica isue, be the victim and hero who shood by her husband…and didn't know what was going on… despite being a very intelligent indpendent modern feminist ideal, there is a certain inconsitency. BUT is this the best you come up with about the documents released or just the thing most likely to get ratings. The ellection of the president in America is to important to be treated on the level of tabloids.

NoHillary   March 19th, 2008 6:15 pm ET

The picture says it all. She is thinking, I am watching how pathetic you are Bill, but you know what? I am going to use you to get to the Whitehouse again. The power was too great, and I have to have it again.

This is not an honorable way for the first woman to become President.

Obama's pastor preached hatred to American youth, Obama lies about his knowledge , to later acknowledge it, and CNN wants to try to get peoples attention off it by bring up Lewinsky. CNN we see right through you, You are after all located in Atlanta Georgia. You are a very racist News Organization. Is Time Warner also. CNN through backing of Obama is behind the scenes of the teaching of hatred, teaching black children to hate and blame white children. Blacks declare Whites their enemy. Rev. Wright. Obama supports for 20 years. There will not be a Democratic party if Obama gets the nod.

G.N. Penley   March 19th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

Hillary wants to be President of the United States, when her husband, whom she knew to be untrustworthy, had multiple sexual encounters right under her nose. Either she knew and didn't care, or she ain't too swift.

The Austrian   March 19th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

OF COURSE SHE WAS THERE! AND SHE WAS FULLY AWARE!!!!!

Geez, hasn't anyone listened to what Dick Morris, the close advisor and friend, has said regarding this issue? Why would this surprise anyone? Bill was never a husband; he was a means to an end. She has ridden his coattails into the position she is now in. I personally felt she didn't give a hoot for Bill's sexual encounters. He was only a vehicle for her ambitions, nothing else.

Nancy   March 19th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

Does this really surprise anyone????

Hillary knew all about Bill's affairs with Monica, Jennifer and all the other women. Hillary didn't care. She stayed with him for her own political ambitions. Do you really think Hillary was faithful?

Hillary gives all women a bad name

Frank, San Diego   March 19th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

BOY! This is news of the first order. Why report this stuff unless its part of your ongoing effort to humiliate the first serious woman candidate for the presidency?

Can anybody say, "double standard?"

Cathie Hilton   March 19th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

There is absolutely NO WAY that Hillary did not know that her husband, our President, had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky and conspired with him to lie to the American people. She is a power hungry lady and it is quite obvious that she will do whatever is necessary to secure their control over Americans. I am very disappointed in Hillary's behavior during this campaign. She is very fortunate to have had a gentlmen with integrity as a running mate in Obama. Hillary is actually behaving in a way that is scary. She is not even listening to Americans now so how will she listen to us later. WE ARE SICK OF NEGATIVE POLITICS!

Roxy   March 19th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

And your point is?…….I guess I'm still not clear as to how knowing this irrelevant information is going to help the millions facing foreclosure or the unemployed. Can we please talk about the important issues? What do you know about the Help Now program that Cris Dodd is trying to introduce to help people at the brink of loosing their homes? Why does Bush oppose it so strongly claiming he's job is not to bail out speculators and yet he chooses to bail out Bear Sterns? Come on people let's keep our eyes on the ball.

Murf   March 19th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

If we follow the logic of the Clinton campaign as it pertains to Sen. Obama and his former pastor, she should have divorced her husband and agreed to testify against him in a perjury trial. Her unwillingness to stand up to her husbands perjury and adultery suggest to me that she will not be able to stand up to the enemies of this Country both foreign and domestic. And once again, we are put in a position where we now have to hear about Bill Clinton's sex life… again.

And..?   March 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

So what does this prove? Haven't we heard all this in the past? Millions of dollars have been wasted, it's time to move forward and think of what's best for the country. But Obama is not that person, so you can print all this stuff CNN, but you will not change people's mind about his support of Wright.

Go ahead, keep this up - McCain will win.

Amy, Kazoo   March 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

There is absolutely NOTHING newsworthy about this. Nothing. It's merely for sensational purposes and is akin to high school gossip. I expect more from the "best political team".

Ugh.   March 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

This is the most irrelevant article I have seen on here. What does this have to do with politics? It reads more like a grocery tabloid. Everyone is throwing around the word 'racism' but not once have I heard anything of 'sexism' which has been all over this campaign. It is obvious you are trying to demean Hillary by picking -this- of all things to report from the archives.

You are ridiculous, CNN.

Michael   March 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

How and why is this news?

Marie from Ottawa   March 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

I'm sorry… Why is this front and center in your main page along with the "Brave Obama" commentary??? Could you be more subtle? Just give it up and confess your official status as Obama's campaign mouthpiece…

Oh by the way, I'm still waiting for your coverage of the Rezko affair and your critical comments on Obama's lying about listening to the good Reverend's sermons for a good 20 years, before he decided to do the "brave thing" and read a prepared speech on race relations. He was in that church for so many years… didn't he think of CHANGE then? Oh wait, this is all about Hillary and MONICA… riiiight.

Barbara Kunkle   March 19th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

I am totally outraged by this so-called "reporting." This garbage would be better placed in the tabloids–or the trash. Hillary has an impressive record of global engagement with world problems dating from her White House days to the present. Surely some attention to her substantive work would be more appropriate in a political column. Shame on you!

Robin   March 19th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

For those who say "OBAMA YOU LIED TO US", it is a good reminder who lied to us. Also, as know everyone knows it was Sen. Clinton campaign that called Canadians and told them not to take their anti-NAFTA approach seriously. Before Ohio primary she attacked Sen. Obama and accused him on that, taking advantage of the false report by Canadian media just before March 4th. Again, another reminder of who lied to us.

Kristina, Seattle   March 19th, 2008 6:20 pm ET

Honesly, CNN! Mrs. Clinton was pushed and pushed to release these records… so that the public could get a better idea of the validity of her questionable "foreign policy experience" claims. NOT so that her husband's nasty "old news" sexual trysts could be thrown in her face all over again. That's just really low.

(And I'm a STAUNCH OBAMA SUPPORTER. Can't we stick to the issues — not just the cheap shots that sell??)

Maria   March 19th, 2008 6:20 pm ET

Durrell Owens   March 19th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

It's saddens me to learn how Bill Clinton with recklessness bordering on insanity engaged in sexual activities during the times Hilliary was at the White House. I still feel so bad for Hilliary and now I understand why Bill is doing all that he can good or bad to win her election to the White House. I think he feels that if she is elected at least in her eyes he can feel vindicated for bringing unmitigated shame on the office of the presidency. I'm not a Hilliary voter, but my heart certainly goes out to her to this day. When I looked at the expression on her face as she stood next to Bill Clinton when he faced the press when the scandal broke, she had the same look on her face that Elliott Spitzer's wife, Silda had on hers. Whenever this happens to women, it makes me ashamed to have been born a male. I've got more respect for Hilliary now than I've ever had before. I wish her well…

Shawn Smith, Kansas City, MO   March 19th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

wow– lets try to focus the attention to hillary by bringing up her most darkest moments in political history. this is distateful of CNN and the Media. CNN won't post this, but seriously?? What the heck is wrong with you guys? Who cares about Monica Lewinsky, this is the kind of Rhetoric that defamed Bill Clinton's entire legacy to an extent, and now you are trying to take down Hillary's campaign by bringing it up!

While Obama is washing his hands free of his Rev, Clinton is taking heat from her husbands personal affairs… jesus christ people.

Dave in Alexandria, VA   March 19th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

Hillary tolerated infidelity for political benefit. She wants and needs power like Bill wants and needs his fix.

Bill Clinton did not have sexual relations with that woman.

That is why Hillary put up with him … or maybe it was her own presidential ambitions …

Ashwini   March 19th, 2008 6:22 pm ET

I don't think Hillary wants to publicize what she was doing in the White House when her husband was having affair with Monika Lewinsky. I think CNN has joined hands with Obama to publicize this on this most prestigious website! Shame on CNN!!!

Mrs. America   March 19th, 2008 6:22 pm ET

She did the same thing to her professor. You are a disgrace for even bringing this up. When Hillary becomes President I hope she bans you from the White House.

D.Kimbro OHIO   March 19th, 2008 6:22 pm ET

I am an Obama supporter, however do we really need to put Senator Clinton through the torment of reliving this mess. I thought the purpose of these records was to realistically look at her experience. I don't see where the affairs of her husband come in here..

Sophia, Los Angeles   March 19th, 2008 6:22 pm ET

Ewww.

Why was that so graphic.

I was too young to fully remember the details of Lewinsky fiasco…but I find it deplorable that Clinton was having sexual encounters in various rooms of our White House while on the phone with members of Congress.

That is so low…This man obviously has no respect…why do you older people support this???

Jayjay   March 19th, 2008 6:22 pm ET

My reaction to this? So what!!!! What are you thinking, CNN? Do you all have sick minds? You need to crawl out of your sleazebag and concentrate on news–isn't that what you're supposed to be about? Or have you bought out "The Enquirer" and I just didn't hear about it?

Roger Burrows, Canada   March 19th, 2008 6:23 pm ET

What's the point of this? Hillary Clinton being in the White House while Bill was misbehaving is a far cry from Barack Obama being in church when his pastor was ranting and raving. CNN, the most respected name in television…I think not.

Give me a break   March 19th, 2008 6:23 pm ET

I have to say… if these dates and times are true, that's pretty darn brazen on old Bill's part.

Leah DiMarco, TX   March 19th, 2008 6:23 pm ET

The Clintons should have just stayed out of the spotlight and not brought into the light all of these old scandals and all the ones that haven't even come out yet.

It is time for the Clintons to go home and let the Democratic Party unite.

We need a NEW president that can restore respect to the White House in the eyes of the world.

Obama '08

Theo N   March 19th, 2008 6:24 pm ET

Is everyone at CNN nuts lately? I really don't care that Hillary was in the White House while her husband was committing adultery behind her back. Yet, it seems that CNN is more interested in this story than in uncovering the truth behind Obama's contradictory statements regarding Pastor Wright. It's been clear that CNN has grossly ignored and/or downplayed questions about Obama, his experience and qualifications, failing to even miminally report on the Rezko connections, overlooking Obama's controversial church and minister for months, and basically serving as an on-going Obama advertisement. I won't even begin to address lopsided primary coverages and the ignorant female journalist who relish the opportunity to slam Hillary and marginalize her at every turn. CNN used to be my only source of television and internet news, but after "Clinton in White House during Monica Lewinsky encounters" was promoted as news worthy while Obama is being pampered, I've had enough. Even Fox isn't as lopsided as you people in this election.

Marcia Banta   March 19th, 2008 6:24 pm ET

For Pete's Sake…what is with you all??? These papers have value in determining the accuracy of Clinton's claim to leadership involvement and experience. What should be a window to illuminate the validity - or not - of her candidacy is turned into a sexist freak show. To report her activities solely in conjunction with the President's extra-curricular sexual activities is the height of sexism.

Didn't Ken Star spend about $54 million to tell us this years ago. So the Obama camp has their way.. She released her records and the best they can find is that she was home while her husband had an affair? I hope he believes that "chickens come home to roost" becasue he definately has the what goes around coming to him. The has the very potential to blow up in his face but then again…..be careful what you ask for cuz youjust might get it.

Tarelton   March 19th, 2008 6:25 pm ET

Perhaps Hillary was upstairs at the White House when former President Clinton was playing with cigars. A lot can happen in that great big house. However it speaks to her years of "experience." If she garnered all of this experience during her husband's two terms in office, then why was she not on the first floor with the former president? The Republicans would have never began impeachment proceedings and Kenneth Starr would have trully found nothing, not even the blue dress. Lewinsky and Tripp would not be names etched in our history. And, Hillary would have already be declared the nominee for the Democratic Party. Her experience would have been unquestionable. However, that is not the case now is it?

OK, NOW LET'S HAVE A DAY BY DAY DISCOVERY OF WHAT OBAMA HAS DONE THE LAST 15-20 YEARS. PUT YOUR MACHINE MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS BARACK. HOW MUCH MONEY HAS YOUR PASTOR GIVEN YOUR CAMPAIGN??????

janis   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

This report was completely uncalled for. Horrible journalism. Let the Clintons put this behind them. Quit causing the wound to fester.

CHERYL   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

CNN HAS REACHED A NEW LOW!!!!!!

I THINK I CLICKED ON THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER!!!!!

GO HILLARY!!!! YOU ARE NOT A LIAR!!!!!!!!

Tim   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

OMG. Hillary was in the White House when Monica and Bill were messing around? Thank you CNN. I have been very concerned about that for the last 9 years and now I can sleep again. Thank goodness you weren't distracted by some other major news story, like Obama's personal relationship with pastor Wright. Or the fact that Obama's official campaign site has a link to the New Black Panther Party. Or, the Rezko corruption trial. Or that the Obama campaign is blocking the Michigan primary do-over. I might as well be watching "The View" for my news, since it's as relevant.

dj   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

Is this why the documents were requested–to rehash this painful episode during the campaign.–to bring harm to Senator Clinton? For God's sake–get off it. You've got to be anti-Clinton to publish this over again.

KLS79   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

This is what you choose to focus on, CNN??? How about the unprecedented amount of work she did for this country as first lady? How about the fact that she was hard at work on health care on the third day of her husband's presidency? I know the Obama supporters will point out that the health care initiative failed, as if he won't have any failures in office, but the sheer amount of work and the meetings with hundreds of different people on the issue show how had she was working to build consensus on the health care crisis in America. We should be very proud of all the work she has done.

Margi   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

Why is this info even being posted? This is old news that Obama is rehashing for his benifit. Hillary proven to be a very good person in light of a disaster.

Pennsylvania for Obama   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

I am not so sure what the point of this story is. I am a strong Obama supporter and will vote for McCain over Hillary. However, I see no benefit or insight that this article offers me, except for maybe Bill Clinton could not be trusted in the 1990's so why give him a second chance? CNN should take this story down and try to focus on finding any evidence that HIllary had any leadership, policy forming, war managing experience, which I doubt we will find looking through all 11,000 pages.

Be kind CNN and take this story down.

Go Obama/Edwards in 2008!

Mark   March 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

EDB

Shood?

Before you criticize others, look at your own writing.

You are an idiot

J Norman   March 19th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

I'm no fan of Hillary but I'm not sure what the point of this report is.

Henry   March 19th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

You should be looking at what she did that could or could not have prepared her to be President. I can buy the National Inquirer for this trash. I guess I need to be watching and reading PBS and the BBC.
I stopped watching Fox years ago. This is the last time I am watching or reading CNN.

OHIO   March 19th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

THIS IS TABLOID JOURNALISM…….YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES….WITH ALL THAT'S GOING ON IN THIS WORLD, YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS…..IS THIS "NEWS"?????

GET A GRIP!!

A PROUD HILLARY CLINTON SUPPORTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CB   March 19th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

SO WHAT??!! Did they have a threesome or something? Congratulations, you have become the National Enquirer of the internet

Peggs   March 19th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

More interesting is the fact that she wasn't around when the Northern Lreland Peace Deal was being brokered or signed.

She wasn't around when her husband launched air strikes on Bosnia.

She wasn't around when her husband lauched missiles into the Sudan.

She wasn't around when the Balkan states signed the Dayton Peace Accord, bringing an end to the conflict.

The list goes on. Her 'experience' seems to have been as a tourist and party goer, while her husband worked. She's a lightweight, and out of her depth.

Kalifornia   March 19th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

Whoever wrote this story is pathetic and needs to get a real job.

Talk about kicking a dead dog.

What does this have to do with anything.

bh   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

What is news-worthy about this?

James   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

Get over it. There is no story here. You people went fishing and came up empty. What this dose show is that Hillary kept herself busy working for the american people while she was in the whitehose and gained alot more expeirence and has earned my vote.

Hank   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

It is very disturbing to know that our former president Bill Clinton wile making decision to bomb Bosnia was also literally offloading his load onto a secretary! Lack of blood flow to his head has definitely affected his foreign policy decisions!

Vince Los Angeles, CA   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

The flood gates are just starting to open…THIS IS WHY SHE DIDN'T WANT THESE DOCUMENTS RELEASED!! We are going to have to hear ENDLESS recountings of the Clinton scandals from the 90's…PEOPLE..THIS IS THE EXACT REASON I CAN'T SUPPORT HER…..THIS ELECTION IS TOO IMPORTANT TO REHASH ALL THE CLINTON SCANDALS…..If you think the Republicans aren't going to jump on this you are delusional…this is PRECISELY why they want to run against her….Clinton will be EASY to beat by McCain while the Republicans "vast Right Wing Conspiracy" rehash the 90's and how scandalous the Clintons were!

The only solution to this is………Obama '08

KHC   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

You must be kidding. Thousands and thousands of pages are released to the public and CNN immediately zeros in on the days Bill and Monica had their encounters to figure out if Hillary was home? CNN you guys are pathetic. Have you ever even heard of journalism?

joan   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

I wonder what the deal between Hillary and Clinton was.
Does HC have something hidden? I cannot imagine this happening to a woman in her own house.

I would not like to see them back in the white house. It is very important.

Joan

Who Cares   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

Who cares where she was. I couldn't care less if she had a ring side seat. All I want to know where she was when she received all this "experience" she supposedly has!!!!!!!!

DFoster   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

Is this getting rediculas or what!? Come on! I support obama, but this kind of stuff needs to be left out of anyones campain. No one needs to read this kind of trash. This is in the past. I cannot understand what role this plays in real journalism. This is National Enquirer stuff. Why do we keep getting away from what makes these two candidates so great for this country? Black/White, Monica, Whitehouse reports, who cares? I want to know who has the best plan to keep my family off the streets!

Pam   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

CNN - you could do much better on setting the stage for intelligent discussion surrounding this election. It seems to me this was dragged up again out of the gutter just to fill space and time…..I'd rather hear about Anderson's health if you must fill time…you can't be looking very hard for real news if this is the best you can do.

Joe   March 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

This is an absolute low, trying to attack the former first lady and current senator for something that she had no control over. CNN should be ashamed of themselves for an attack like this. Not only is this tacky, but it attacks all women who have been hurt by this type of behavior.

Oregon Voter   March 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

This is downright disgraceful CNN. You ought to be ashamed. This isn't news, this is tabloid material. How dare you feed us this garbage. Your network has sunk lower than it will ever recover from.

pennythoughts   March 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

Sexism at its finest, CNN. With all the documented work she has done for this country, all you care about is where Hillary was when Lewinsky was around. That is disgusting.

ester barfi   March 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

why are you going back to the time of Monica? and further more what does it have to do with Hillary's campaign?. You are soft on Obama when he plays the race card, yet you bring up a past that was nothing but hurtful to a lot of people. It would be nice if you would treat both candidates with the same scrutiny.
ester barfi Michigan

Andrew Gallaher   March 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

Is this all that CNN can come up with from the thousands of pages that have been released? How about finding some things that prove or dispreove her experience that she speaks of. That was the reason for releasing the records, right?

Pat   March 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

This is news? Congratulations on your Pulitzer prize … not.

akaDoug   March 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

It's interesting to compare the coverage of this story vs. that of the Rev. Wright comments. Both stories show the presidental candidates as being loyal when their friends words or husbands words and actions failed them.

You can't blame Hillary for Bills womanizing and cheating any more than you can blame Barack for the words of his pastor. Both could have left and in the case of Obama it might have been wiser for him to throw Rev. Wright "under the bus!" For Hillary obviously she benefitted politically from sticking with the chronic adulteror! But she can't be both the hero and the victim!

VMCal   March 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

LOL, thanks for the chuckle

Jim   March 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Why do we need to go through this! What does it accomplish? Now we are rehashing smut news just for news sake. Let this sex thing with the Clintons die the death it deserves!

O NO! HILL YEAH!   March 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

How about putting up her MEETINGS WITH HEADS OF STATE? We've already read the Starr report. Is this the best you can do? Oh wait, I forgot. Your golden boy is under fire. The Emperor has been revealed to have NO substance, er, clothes.

Face it people, he LIED, REPEATEDLY. He lied about NAFTA, he lied about Rezko and he lied about his knowledge of Wright's racist views.

When is this going to stop? I mean, really?

If this were Hillary who had done these things, they would have made her drop out of the race. This is a complete disgrace to the Democratic Party. How in the world are you going to show pictures of the Obamas going to church at the Trinity UCC on Easter morning. That will paint a warm fuzzy feeling for most folks, I'm sure.

And yes, his speech was good, but it would have been received MUCH better, had he done it at the beginning of his campaign as a platform, rather that damage control to cover his lies. My handle says it for a reason.

O- NO! HILL YEAH!!!

Let's see if this comment makes it in…

Joycelyn, Vancouver, Canada   March 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

I live in Canada and your politics is a joke

M   March 19th, 2008 6:39 pm ET

For once I'm in HRC's corner. As a wife who's been cheated on - looking at these details turns my stomach. This isn't important to the campaign, I really wish CNN would move on to to more important things. They keep slamming the candidates (particularly mine) and then waste air time and web space on this nonsense.

Bill, Streamwood, IL   March 19th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

This has more to do with Bill Clinton than Hillary Clinton … and Bill ain't running for prez.

While it is mildly interesting, how does it have any relevance to this election?

Jim - Arkansas   March 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Is that all of Bill's sexual encounters with Monica? No wonder Hillary forgave him. Apparently it was no where near as often as he did it with Gennifer Flowers. The man is really beginning to get his act together. I'll bet he is down to only one or two affairs a year now. It must be hard to be an aging lothario. (Pun intended)

Ryan   March 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Come on now, guys. This is just dirty. I can't believe CNN would put something like this up.

Janet   March 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

to whoever wrote this article. Shame on you. Why do you want to bring up something like this? It is noone's business except Hillary and Bill. It was a marital problem, not a national security problem. Her staying with Bill shows strength and that you just don't give up if something bad happens. I am proud that she stayed with her husband. You just wrote this article to be the devil's advocate and get people going. Shame on you.

I cannot believe you are reporting this sexist drivel. This is DISGUSTING. Hillary Clinton is a candidate for PRESIDENT. You are treating her like a spurned little housewife. Is this the best you can do? Did you get this story from a press release from the Obama campaign?

I am appalled. Nothing like fair, unbiased journalism, people.

Andy   March 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

This is the most absurd "news" I have read in awhile - now you have earned a new name in news: "CNNquirer." The story isn't shocking, but the fact that CNN ran it certainly is.

Annamica, OH   March 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Tabloid Nation!

Have you stooped so low CNN?

Hillary 08!

Kathleen, NC   March 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Although I do think that it is interesting to understand that her husband can exploit women under her nose and she remains blind to the situation, I do believe that the issues of this race should be her claims of experience. This article show me only that she is guilty of the same things that Obama is currently being ridiculed for: Believing the best in someone for over 20 years – only to be held responsible for their actions.

William Brent Chandler   March 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

With or without Bill Clinton, Hilary Clinton is a strong admirable woman who I feel would make a great First Female President! Look at her past and what she has done for the people and the community. Politics do not make you an honest person, but she has worked the field in the better interest of the community. If she can get over the Lewinsky/Clinton episode then why can’t we as a nation? I do not hold anything agents her for her husband’s actions. It only shows me how committed and strong she really is!

JpJ   March 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

Yea, forget NAFTA - lets talk about Monica.

marty from Indiana   March 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

CHECK THE LOGS: It is interesting how much time Hilary spent during those years trying to stay out of prison. She had one scandal after another. She constantly has prosecutors breathing down her neck. Is this the kind of woman we want for president?

Tym   March 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

The CONSERVATIVE watchdog group that forced the Archives to release the documents now says the documents show that Hillary was a DE FACTO CO-PRESIDENT.

I hope this silences the sexist comments that all First Ladies do is have tea parties.

She was one of the most active and influential first ladies. That's the real story from the documents.

Lovin   March 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

Way to Monica and Reverand!

READY999   March 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

gabby   March 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

truly i dont even like hillary clinton but this is stupid report more on her lies than on her husband screw ups like her wanting revotes when shes losing. and people say obama is acticng like a politician or a poster boy. he has at least does as he says he will. clinton earlier in the campaign said no revotes. now she will bend the rules to get more delegates. and essesntially blames Obama for no revotes when he says hell follow whatever DNC makes if a revote is agreed upon hell follow it whatever solution they make hell follow. HOWEVER HE DOESNT BEND THE RULES LIKE O'HILLARY. im throughly disgusted with her and wish a better woman ran for president

Abuchi   March 19th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

Monica is coming back, now are we electing Hillary to bring back Bill and Monica to use our oval office for their happy hour? Hillary need to stay home to minitor Bill if not she will loose him this time to Monica….bring it on CNN.
All the lies Bill told America while pointing at us that she did not have any sexual encounter with that woman….they need to come clean.

Bret   March 19th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

CNN, this is the last time I come to your website or TV channel for news. You've really lowered the bar here- lower than FOX, even. You should be ashamed to call yourself a news organization.

Jeanne   March 19th, 2008 6:44 pm ET

I am so sick of listening to the reporters putting Hillary down/
Bringing all this up about Monica Lewinski is redundant. We heard that for the last of Bill's Presidenty .The republicians tried for 8 years to bring him down and couldn't Let it die. Let's get to issues. I am 75 with medicare health insurance and have been waiting since Nov to be operated on for ovarian cysts which could be cancer , as I have had colon cancer. let's hear how the economy is going down the drain. Lets get our men and women home from war.
these are the things that we need to hear about. By the way I did not vote for Bill Clinton in either of his elections but I am 100 percent behind Hillary. GO GIRL.

Terry   March 19th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

Hard to believe voters would want this kind of experience back in the White House.

Slap Stick, Florida   March 19th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

Wow, this is interesting. Hillary wants to now run the country when she couln't even run her house!!!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

David, Gilbert Arizona   March 19th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

This headline reads just like something I'd see on one of those "rag mags" in the check-out line at the grocery store. CNN I thought you were above tabloid news reporting.

Lou - NH   March 19th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

This is exactly the type of Clinton history that I had hoped we'd put behind us. It is why I will not vote to put them back in the WH under any circumstances. Having said that, I had hoped that by reviewing these records we might be able to vet her claims of superior experience. I am an ardent supporter of Barack Obama and I join the Clinton supporters in saying we don't need any more of this junk in our primary process. That includes 3-peats on the Wright controversy. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. CNN it is time for you to do a better job!

Jessica   March 19th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

This is precisely why I won't vote for the gruesome twosome. Clinton (Bill) disgraced his position as President, insulted the intelligence of our country, and disrespected the sanctity of the White House. The fact that she was in the White House at the time that Bill was "engaged" with Monica says to me that not only does he not have any regard for his wife but that he believes he is above any consequences for his actions. That man is a loose cannon and has been on this campaign for virtually the entire time. He will be a distraction and we will find in short order that he has not changed his ways to support his wife in her position. If she is elected it will be a confirmation to his gigantic ego that he is politically untouchable even if it has nothing to do with him.

bman   March 19th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

The media has hit a new low. Why do you not try digging up some dirt on her opponent? I'm suprised you have not gotten interviews with drug dealers claiming to have supplied him with drugs……deal with the current items, instead of trashing people……..

Mary   March 19th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

You've sunk to a new low CNN.

Maryland   March 19th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

As an Obama supporter I don't see the relevance of this story. Sorry CNN.

Mike   March 19th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

If this woman doesn't even know when she is being cheated on how can she run our country. I am so sick of the Clintons and their disgusting past. Obama or McCain will restore this country to dignity.

Richard in Texas   March 19th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

This is very disrespectful to Senator Clinton. More National Enquirer/tabloid type reporting because it is irrelevant to the election.

Obama 08!

come on, this story is sooooo old , no news..cnn is desperate for a story on hillary.. its clear that cnn is in love with obama and wants to turn it away from obama and his pastor… obama is done, stick a fork in him

Miles   March 19th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

As an Obama supporter, let me say that this kind of thing has no place in the campaign. CNN shouldn't even be reporting on this. I dislike Hillary for a large number of reasons, but her personal life should be left to her and her family. If the media finds some instances where her behavior as first lady contradicts what she has said with regard to policy, or if they find any illegal or unethical behavior, then that's something voters should know about. But dragging up old personal problems is completely tasteless.

Corinna   March 19th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

Eww yuck do we really need to re-live this? I support Obama but not because of this reason. Nor will I give Hillary my vote because of it.

henrie alabama   March 19th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

SHE DID NOT WANT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE TO KNOW HE WILL DO THE SAME THING IF SHE GETS IN THE WHITE HOUSE CAN'T TRUST BILL ANYWHERE IN OUR WHITE HOUE

k. montgomery   March 19th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

yeah, I thought that would be the conversation when it comes to Hillary. But the fact of the matter is, adultery should not been seen as okay to our young men and women who are seeking to start their own family. so yeah let's keep Hillary's scandals and flaws a secret, because she should not be put down as low as some of the rest. POINT WELL TAKEN

CNN you have sunk to a new low. Its bad enough that most of your pundents obvously support Sen Obama and many of us have seen it, but this is over the top.

Teresa in Kansas   March 19th, 2008 6:51 pm ET

If Hillary wasn't bright enough to realize her husband was having an affair in their own house, then what else will she not be bright enough to notice.

Thanks CNN for reminding us of the family that we are considering for the White House.

They discraced the joint and then ripped it off on their way out.

Una   March 19th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

So its OK for Hillary to claim all that experience of Bill Clinton's presidency and when she was the First Lady as her own, but it is not OK for anyone to talk about Bill Clinton's affairs and cheating ?

If you are allowed to claim all your husband's administartions success as your own , then shouldn't you accept all of their failures (administrative ) too?

I would have supported Hillary if she doesn't have the free clout and 'experience' because of her husband's presidency and if she was standing tall on her own accord.

Lisa - Arizona   March 19th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

I think it's funny, Do you really want a President who doesn't even know what's going on in her own house? I say leave her in New York, with the governers there, Birds of a feather, flock together.

neel   March 19th, 2008 6:59 pm ET

This is a ridiculous story. CNN needs to elevate its concept of journalism.

Democrat in CT   March 19th, 2008 6:59 pm ET

What does this information have to do with the current election? The news media has stooped to a new all-time low. Hasn't Hillary Clinton suffered enough humiliation at the hands of the media over this in the past? Should she be punished for her husband's mistakes? The news media has stooped to a new all-time low with this article.

mike   March 19th, 2008 6:59 pm ET

This is an important story why? Here let me give CNN some real news. Why don't you run the real story of how Obama lied on Friday night on all the cable news channels about not ever hearing this so called Rev. Wright's hate speeches, yet in yesterdays so called great race speech of Obamas, he clearly admitted he did hear the raciest. What else is he going to lie about tonight with Mr. Anderson " I'll rescue Obama" Cooper?

Deb   March 19th, 2008 6:59 pm ET

Monica is old news and CNN increasingly seems to report old news. Barrack nor Hillary care about this story. Why is Monica being brought up again? If that is the case, lets bring up Iran Contra Affair. It has nothing to do with any candidate but it is old like Monica.

CNN seems to favor Obama. No more with CNN, going to stay with Real Clear Politics.

Rory   March 19th, 2008 7:15 pm ET

How about reporting some news? Ten years ago, there is a chance people cared about this.

Are there any claims of experience that Hillary is counting on the campaign trail that are disproven from what is in her schedules? That's what I'd like to know.

It is awful what men put women through in there pursuit of power. That is why I NEVER want to vote for another man. Yeah, I am pretty fed up with the men that run this country and it is time that the oppressed minority (women are over 52.5% of US pop. and we have never had a woman president).

Feminist for Hillary !!!

It's time to stop men from screwing us over…

I have to ask "so what"…this is just as bad as judging Barack Obama on the words of his minister.

Bill Clinton's affair was just that…Bill Clinton's. I'm an Obama supporter, but this is the sort of garbage that simply makes the entire race a distasteful endeavor. In the context of what happened with President Clinton and Ms. Lewinsky, Sen. Clinton is nothing more or less than a woman whose husband had an affair. It's a matter between her and her husband…a private matter…and has nothing to do with her suitability to be President, any more than the actions of Sen. Obama's minister reflect on his suitability to be President.

This is nothing more than sensationalist "journalism" at it's worst, recycling a 9 year old issue to score points and get more website hits.

It's beneath contempt. Why not try reporting on the issues?

Benjamin   March 19th, 2008 7:16 pm ET

Are you kidding me CNN?! Is this Journalism or TMZ?

Grif   March 19th, 2008 7:16 pm ET

Never mind! Say's Hillary… I still love you!

My quention to most Amnerica

The Eye's say ir all…

kkvh4026   March 19th, 2008 7:16 pm ET

Is this what you wanted Hilary's records to be released for. So you could continue regurgitating the same filthy story again. The US media is disgusting. We in Europe never allowed the event to continue more than a month, & you have been obsssessed with this for more than a decade. Why don't you use the records to confirm her numerous visits to N.Ireland, or when she visited Africa, India, Pakistan, Gaza, Jerusleum, All the things that you refuse to report.

Josh   March 19th, 2008 7:17 pm ET

Do you have any shame to publish an article like this?
Does it make sense?
What do you want to get out of it?

I am so turned off by the obviously biased news in CNN these days, I no longer watch CNN any more. YOu are nothing but a bunch of Obamanias.

get real   March 19th, 2008 7:17 pm ET

I AGREE. THIS IS A NEW LOW. LET'S FACE IT, CNN IS AN OBAMA LOVER. I DIDN'T HEAR ONE COMMENTARY OR NEWS STORY ON CNN ABOUT OBAMA LYING ABOUT HEARING HIS PASTOR'S RACIST REMARKS. I ONLY HEARD WHAT A GREAT SPEECH HE MADE.

OBAMA IS THE CANDIDATE WHO WILL DO OR SAY ANYTHING TO GET ELECTED PRESIDENT.

HE LIED ABOUT NAFTA TO THE PEOPLE OF OHIO.
HE LIED ABOUT HIS PREACHER'S COMMENTS.
HE LIED ABOUT HIS STRATEGY TO PULL TROOPS OUT OF IRAQ.

YOU OBAMA LOVER'S NEED TO FACE THE FACTS. HE IS NOT ELECTABLE NOW. HE IS A LIAR AND I WILL NOT VOTE FOR ANOTHER GEORGE BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!

LadyLeo   March 19th, 2008 7:17 pm ET

Are these the First Lady skills Hillary is referring to. This is disgusting, how can your husband be in the same house with you having sex with another woman and more than once and you not know it. Maybe Hillary just does not have that female gut instinct. If she was the fighter that she claimed to be she would have left Bill.

Becky in In.   March 19th, 2008 7:17 pm ET

This is exactly the kind of garbage she knew would come of this release. This is "SO LOW"

DH   March 19th, 2008 7:18 pm ET

YOU PEOPLE ARE SICK! SICK! SICK! CNN and MSNBC….you people really are heartless!!! how selfish all of you are!
Every single one of you!

Independent   March 19th, 2008 7:18 pm ET

Is this a story the MSM should be reporting?? Come on CNN!

Obama '08

PK   March 19th, 2008 7:18 pm ET

Are you joking?? You're really bringing this up now?? Just for the record — WHO CARES?? I have lost my respect for you, CNN.

Sonya   March 19th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

CN, you disgust me with your mean-spirited attacks on Sen. Clinton. Why don't you cover Sen. Obama's purported cousin Odinga who is currently trying to overthrow the govt of Kenya? I think that's a little more relevant than Sen. clinton's husband cheating on her a decade ago.

leo   March 19th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

tahnk u cnn. this will help hillary a lot

Kathy   March 19th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Come on CNN……

Judy Frost   March 19th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Shame on you!!

Maria   March 19th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Why does CNN divert valuable time and energy away from the real problems of this country and important news stories with this pointless drivel? Their standards really are are getting lower every day.

Nando, Florida   March 19th, 2008 7:20 pm ET

This is why we cannot have this Family back in the White House.

Luke   March 19th, 2008 7:20 pm ET

An obvious attempt by some Obama supporter to try and deflect some of the attention away from Obama's controversial spiritual and father figure known as Rev Wright.
