McCain is a "Renaissance Man"

Gregory H. Brooklyn New York   March 21st, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Is Joel Lieberman John McCain' shadow? We never see one without the other. Or is he so close as to correct Mr. McCain, when he speaks???? The world is watching…..You wanna back up, Joel?? We forget who is running for president.

Sean CA   March 21st, 2008 7:18 pm ET

If Liebermans involved, then more wars for Israel are in store for the US

Jed in Texas   March 21st, 2008 6:55 pm ET

Liebercheese has his hand in his puppet, telling him what to say.

Madison, CO   March 21st, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Are my tax dollars paying for these photo ops, because I don't like endorsing John McCain. He is supposed to be over there on "official" Senate business, but all I see is a quasi presidential photo junket.

Obama 08

Viet Nam Vet   March 21st, 2008 6:42 pm ET

POST MY COMMENTS CNN

I wonder if… where ever he goes… people keep asking him, "When's Mr. Obama's visit?"

Nah… it's a good trip for him. If the Dem's had an apparent nominee, they'd be trying to figure out how to do a similar trip, too, without looking too much like they're pandering….

Jay Graham, Dallas, TX   March 21st, 2008 6:34 pm ET

Let Richardson endorse Obama and Mccain will crush him on foreign policy in the general election.

Michelle B   March 21st, 2008 6:32 pm ET

Here's McCain doing his pre-president thing, and there's Obama and Hillary doing their American Idol reject thing. All McCain has to do is to not say anything stupid and he's in the White House. Obama and Hillary will destroy the Democrat party if this keeps up.

Bayou Joe   March 21st, 2008 6:32 pm ET

Go ahead and make your stupid comments about this great AMERICAN PATRIOT. We (Republicans, independants and main stream Democrats) will have the last laugh in November.

Paul from Kissimmee   March 21st, 2008 6:29 pm ET

Acting Presidential, while the other two act like babies.

paul sorensen   March 21st, 2008 6:10 pm ET

Here's mr. presidential looking McCain and his watchdog Lieberman. Wait… that's actually John Quincy Adams and his wife Joe. I didn't know John was still kicking. Oh, I suppose he's only about 187 years old . Too bad his buddy Napolean isn't around.

AprilAngel   March 21st, 2008 5:55 pm ET

McCain is having a fundraiser in London? I thought "foreign money" could not be used for political purposes in a campaign. If money is raised in England, I sure enough would consider that "foreign money." But, then, one should check into Hillary receiving money from foreigners for her campaign, i.e., Dubai interests. Knowing how untrustworthy SHE is, she and Bill will find a way to "cover" it up, like they have always done.

JFK   March 21st, 2008 5:53 pm ET

I hope he is getting frequent flier miles? This has been quite a world wide travel-thon he has been on lately. I take Mr McCain is shoring up international support for November?

Grif   March 21st, 2008 5:50 pm ET

The Real! "Man of the Moment"

John "Man of the moment" McCain

American Hero! While you were all sleeping safe in your beds.

Embrace Him!!! Don't shy away, just because men like

him! Are so rare

KCBob   March 21st, 2008 5:40 pm ET

He looks pale and sickly.

Anonymous   March 21st, 2008 5:39 pm ET

I wonder if he and his staffers who lobbied for Airbus ensured them that the tanker contract would be wrapped up as soon as he became President.

McCainiac   March 21st, 2008 5:30 pm ET

Ever heard of reimbursement? His campaign said he would, so give him a chance. You can rely on the media arms of the Obama campaign, known as MSNBC and CNN to keep the heat on MCCain.

josh r   March 21st, 2008 5:28 pm ET

McCain can get all the photo ops he wants with various world leaders, HE"S GOING DOWN! HAHAHAHA

Don, San Francisco   March 21st, 2008 5:28 pm ET

Meanwhile, the Dems continue to beat each other up…

Pat   March 21st, 2008 5:27 pm ET

What is the deal with McCain and Lieberman? They are really good friends, huh?

Why did Lieberman change from Democrat to Independent?

Can a Republican have an Independent Vice President?

Will the Republican even allow an Independent on their ticket?

Peter   March 21st, 2008 5:25 pm ET

For everyone who is putting down Mccain and think he is ripping you off, you are wrong. McCain is merely continuing to do his job as a Senator and as the Head of his Senate Committe, the dinner he held was NOT paid for by tax payers money, he paid for that portion including hotel room and flight from his campaign. He happens to be able to use is Senate status to show how he is able to be a qualified president. If you think he is ripping off the country then every time Clinton or Obama has gone on any trip that they are going to use as an example of their qualifications should that be paid for by their campaign. No! McCain is continuing his present job because he locked up the nomination, if he wasnt doing anything everyone would be all over him for slacking off…so dont come here and say he is getting special treatment for doing the job he was elected to do!

La Raza   March 21st, 2008 5:24 pm ET

McCain does not look or sound like a President. He is mentally and physically unfit to be President. Check it out.

hamletbl   March 21st, 2008 5:18 pm ET

God bless you John Mc, we now see how the world would receive him as President, what do you think they would do if Barak H. Obama showed up, we have enough trouble without showcasing experiance in the President's office.

richard   March 21st, 2008 5:12 pm ET

Oh god the war mongerer McCain is traveling the world to remind people that bush part 3 might happen. Scarry

jgr   March 21st, 2008 5:11 pm ET

Where is american flag lapel pin? Where's his patriotism?

Frank W.   March 21st, 2008 5:10 pm ET

War is expensive and democracy at home can not be afforded.

lovable liberal   March 21st, 2008 5:10 pm ET

Everyone who still loves Duhbya should definitely vote for McCain. He'll continue all the failed policies of the last seven years.

Change Shmange   March 21st, 2008 5:08 pm ET

you ppl are just upset because he is travelling the world getting a better grasp of world's issues. While democrates are bickering over race and gender. pish posh!

By the way if everyone is so worried about where tax payers dollars go, someone please explain to me why nancy pelosi spent 10 grand on flowers for her office… tax payers money.

Bayou Joe   March 21st, 2008 5:08 pm ET

Cindy I have news for you, It is not very difficult to insult the intelligence of the American People, The following Obama has even after the revelations we have seen the last couple of days is proof of that.

McCain will win in November because he is the most qualified person remaining and because he is a TRUE PATRIOT who has served his country for the past 40 years.

He can pick Joe blow off the street and win in November.

ben   March 21st, 2008 4:40 pm ET

Wow. Leiberman seems to be shadowing McCain everywhere.

Ray Ito   March 21st, 2008 4:39 pm ET

McCain already making the round as if he were the president?
Well, many of those countries he's trying to "woo" for a never-ending war don't support his vision.

Joe St Louis, MO   March 21st, 2008 4:36 pm ET

I hope he had a good fund raiser there too……

Can I pay for anything else he may need to look presidential.

He is the worst thing that could happen to this country.

Ehis Olu   March 21st, 2008 4:35 pm ET

You Go Mac.
Your experience matters.
The Presidency is yours.

Saad   March 21st, 2008 4:32 pm ET

Is Senator Joe Lieberman going to be the Vice Presidential nominee on the McCain ticket…. sure seems that way ::))

Cindy   March 21st, 2008 4:32 pm ET

As a taxpayer, I am enraged over this trip. The Republican party set this trip up to spotlight McCain's diplomatic ability. The country questioned why McCain went with the group. The Republicans set this trip in order to give a boost to him and the party, without him having him tap into his campaign fund. I suppose they will still maintain that McCain will not use public money for his campaign. Right… A dishonest move by this administration and the candidate. McCain has proven in my eyes has proven his administration will be more of the same… This insults the intelligence of the American people. This party robs us any way they can, and continue to get away with it.

Mark Webb   March 21st, 2008 4:30 pm ET

Who cares!!!

An Agnostic Democrat   March 21st, 2008 4:26 pm ET

Let's hope he can remember where he is without Lieberman's prompting.

Grif   March 21st, 2008 4:18 pm ET

Bonjour! John…

HH   March 21st, 2008 3:58 pm ET

I and every American want a tax refund from you. For traveling on a good will tour on tax payer money. AND THEN going to a $1,000 A PLATE dinner. SHAME ON YOU JOHN MCCAIN!

think people!   March 21st, 2008 3:56 pm ET

McCain is a good candidate–we need McCain.
He more than both of his opponents will be ready
on day one.
There is just no question about it.
