CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands (CNN) - For three days, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama is enjoying some private down time on the island of St. Thomas, a source close to the U.S. territory's Government House in the capital of Charlotte Amalie confirmed Monday.

The source also confirmed that Gov. John deJongh "unofficially" met with the Illinois senator and his family upon their arrival at St. Thomas' Cyril E. King Airport Sunday morning.

Obama campaign officials had been vague about the Obama family trip.

The senator will resume campaigning on Wednesday in North Carolina.

LOL, I guess Obama's using your money to pay Bill Richardson and to pay for his vacations to the Caribbean!!

Either he's using your money or Rev. Wright is also a LIAR! Awww, underprivileged, poor Black man? I don't think so....

Awww, life must be so hard for poor, underprivileged Barack Obama in the Caribbean....

He deserves a vacation? Please, he's just like President Bush...when things get a little tough, time to take a vacation!

Obama needs to DROP OUT of this campaign. He's severely hurting the Democratic party, and he's making a complete fool out of himself and those who support him. He's completely out of his league.

Hillary continues to work, work, work...as she will when she is President of the United States of America!!!!

Where is the coverage of Hillary Clinton's speech on the economy? Who cares if OBama is on vacation... I dont care. The way he organizes his vacations is not what we need to hear right now. Well, for those of you who want to read Hillary's speech go to NYTimes.

Clinton takes a couple of days off – no comment. Obama takes a couple of days off – outrage. Get a life, you bozos, everyone needs some time off. I guess the Clintonians don't want him to recharge his batteries to prepare for the next load of c**p that The Ruthless Billary Machine is dreaming up. The desperation in their campaign is becoming more and more visible day by day. Now I have to wonder where Bill will go when he has lost Hillary the nomination?

This election, the comments, the media and all of America who particpate in this negative comunication is a representation and
reflection of ourself as Americans,we need to be judging that, but we know that is to much light right.

All of you are hypocrits! Who doesn't talk about the US government or what they don't like inthis country? Everyone does, idiots! Do all of you posting on this board go to church? Probably not. Stop judging Obama as if you are pure as the driven snow. Stop judging all of them. Stick to the issues. This economy sucks. The effects of the economy doesn't see color or religion. Wisen up, people. We are going to be in a depression soon. If not a depression, we will continue in the recession, DEPRESSED! Think about it.

Most of these comments show, why will the Republicans keep the White House the next 4 years. Why this hatred? This should be a unified party with common goals.

The difference between the two candidates are miniscule, one will use the establishment the other tries to bring in new life into politics, but finally inspite of big change, we are all at mercy of the "big money"

to all of you Clinton supporters what make sence is who says what,
you harp on what the Obama supporters says out of their mouths but what is important to me is what Obama himself says out of
his mouth, the differance is the Clinton supperters say a lot out of
their mouth and the Clintons agree and as well say much more
so that says a lot. but more then any words from them you or me
God is in this this is His plan and the Obamas need a Vacation

Some of the people that post on here are REALLY hateful. We live in an imperfect world of imperfect people. We would be hypocrites to demand perfection of anyone. You all should be the last to judge this man when none of you would probably come close to his smallest accomplishment. He started with just as much as any of us, so ask yourself what path are you on to be in his position as a candidate for President of the United States of America. You all should be looking at a vision of what this country could be like if we all contributed to the unity and change this this great man speaks about.

And for all the haters that are wondering why he didn't go to his church for Easter, well it's probably because Fox News Network was staked out in front of his church. I mean seriously... on Easter Sunday you have your news crew out at Trinity? How insensitive. GET A LIFE FOX! Sounds like the Romans looking for a crucifixion to me.

Let's see, Brother wright is in Athens and Obama and his family is in the Virgin Islands, I think a very good time for both of them to be out of the country! I would imagine Obama didn't spend the Easter break with his white grandmother, after comparing her remarks of being afraid at times when meeting black men in the street, to that of his hateful , Pastor, brother Wright. What really got me was the fact that he said he actually cringed with what she said, but noted no cringing with what his hateful pastor said about America, G-D America twice, I believe if my pastor said this in the pulpit, I would do more then just a little cringing.I would have called him down then gathered up my family and walked out never to darken that door again! It seems to be that Reverend Jesse Jackson once made the comment that he crossed the street to keep from meeting a black man and was relieved when it was a white man he was meeting or something of this nature, so how could Obama make such a deal of what his grandmother said when his leaders such as Jackson was also afraid of meeting other black men in the dark? I am tired of race baiting in America but what I am really tired of is the double standard against whites. I wonder why Obama didn't call for the firing of his pastor as he did the firing of Don Imus for his racial comment?
