Hillary there is always someone out there in the audience that will challenge you. Remember Chelsea got challenge the other day and refuse to answer the question, now you refuse to answer but resort to laughter. What kind of person are you when it comes to the American people. Hillary we don't owe you this Presidential race, you need to earn it just like Obama. You have not done anything except lied, lied and lied. Get over it and stop sabotaging the Democratic Party. Now we know that if you don't have money then you will get left out.

I am sure, the Clinton Campaign has injected some one in the audiance to ask this kind of question. So she would look good by answering that kind of question. If she really care about party then she should have suspend her campaing like others did. She is the one who is causing most damaged to the Democratic Party.

While I know some Obama supporters feel like Hillary is devisive, this I hope will help somewhat to diminish that notion. I am glad to see Hillary speak what I have felt all along. It is not in the democrats best interest to support McCain regardless of which one of them secures the nomination. While I do have a preference as to who should win, I will support either one because it is the best decision to get out of the Bush scenario for a 3rd term, which is what McCain is. Bravo Hillary! BTW I am sick of all the bickering about who is better on both sides. It is a hard fought fight and it should be. All states and people need to have their chance to vote. Asking either person to quit is just not the way it should be done. Let it be over when it's over and quit asking either one to concede. Lets face it, the Republicans did not have 2 great candidates to choose from and that is why you don't see this happening on their side. I am confident in saying if it did you would see just as much of a struggle between them.

She is the one who gave people that idea and now it's too late to do damage control. Remember when you were going around telling people you and McCain were the only ones ready to be commander in chief?
You are lost and confused...go seek some help!

This is what happens when we over analyze thigs. Mrs. Clinton is right, the Democratic party isn't going anywhere. It will work out in th end.

With such a close race- remember neither of them will reach the number of delegates they will need- both need to stay in and hear the voices of the remaining states and primaries. Lets see what the rest of the country thinks.

I am glad that she is finally saying that she doesn't actually want her followers to switch parties. With the way she's been talking about her opponents, I would have given about 50/50 odds that Obama was going to have to run against a McCain/Clinton ticket.

TBH, I still have a lot of doubts about her commitment to the Democratic party, and about the character of someone who is willing to do that to their party.

This may cause her to lose a few of her supporters: they want to hear that it is okay to approve of McCain more so than Obama, because spite is more fun than reason.

Of course, she may gain a few Obama supporters since she is, for once, seemingly giving a crap about peace in the democratic party.

Not me, of course, for a simple reason: A transparent government is the most important thing in the history of american politics, as far as i'm concerned; and Obama seems to be the only person who wants to give that a shot.

“I intend to do everything I can to make sure we have a unified Democratic party,” she (Hillary) said. “When this contest is over and we have a nominee, we’re going to close ranks, we’re going to be united.”

And Senator Clinton believes in the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, invisible snipers on the tarmac in Bosnia and her husband's fidelity ...and that's the truth...phttttttttttt

I hope to god she's being sincere here. Most clinton supporters will follow whatever she says, so this is good. But if she walks away from this comment, like she has done before with other words, then I will lose whatever respect I still have for her.

This broad has got to be kidding. Does she expect her supporters to vote for Obama after she's made him out to be American-hating Muslim, inexperienced, idealistic and "out-of-touch", all talk, etc... With all her trashy rhetoric, she's basically jeopardized the Democrats chance of winning the 2008 general election by fractioning the Democratic party. It really perplexes me that some or many Clinton supporters would even consider voting for a man who would sincerely purposed a "100 year war" in support of this "war on terror". We won't know how much damage she's done until the 2008 general election. It wasn't up until Hillary's negative campaign bullcrap that polls showed Obama trailing McSame McCain in the polls for the 2008 election.

Dear Mrs Clinton

I am one of your supporter I have been voted and registered as a democrat from the time I was allowed to vote, this time if it's not your name on the ticket, I am going to vote for McCain. The reasons are the biases against you in the media, the dirty politic in the democratic party, all that turn me off, as a disenfranchised voter from Florida, I don't have the stomach to vote for another democrat.

In 1994, Hillary Clinton, and alter ego Bill, failed at presidential leadership by alienating important players in the health care reform initiative.

That same year, as a direct result of alienating the electorate, Republicans took over Congress, initiating the "Republican Revolution" and years of nasty partisanship.

She has always been described as "polarizing", even before the campaign. Now she has managed to polarize members of her own party.

What's really troubling here is that her credibility is gone. It's actually hard to believe her when she says she wants to unify the party, in the face of such strong evidence that she wanted to divide it.

Promises, promises....I've already burned my DemocRAT voter registration card and switched to Independant. I have NEVER been so upset with the DemocRAT party as I have been this primary season. Clinton's tactics have had the most negative impact on me and was the main reason for my switch. I can promise you if you people put her up as the DemocRATic nominee, I will definately vote for John McCain.

Hillary,
I have thought it through!! Seriously, I can think of nothing else. It will never be a lying power hungry monster like you. For the first time in my life I will vote for a Republican. It will be a very hard thing for me to do. My son is in the Air Force and would face another deployment. The fact is I hate you so VERY much and trust you so VERY little that I would sacrifice my son to keep you out of office. How do you like that CNN?? Seems your polls yesterday were off. I know of at least 25 democrats that plan to vote for McCain if Hillary gets the nod. No one wants that vindictive liar in office. At least McCain seems to have principles.

If she's nominated and somehow cannot get Barack as her VP, I'm out. I won't vote for McCain, but I will NOT vote for her, either.

My Senator, Governor, council people, whatever. I will press ever Democratic button except Hillary's.

Hillary: If you SOMEHOW spin your way to the White House, you better HOPE Obama comes along. Otherwise, you're toast.

To be honest, this is more like a "natural reaction" instead of what might happen later on. I'm telling you guys, if Hillary wins and my boy gives the O.K, TRUST ME, they will follow him. And think of it as the same thing if my boy wins, Hillary's supporters will follow, of course pending on what happens. Do you know what this reminds me of??? Kind of reminds me of the OLD, OLD, OLD DAYS when the Barbarians were around, why?? Well, not only they have enemies on their side, but also the "Roman Empire". Of course, we all know what happened to each barbarian tribe......

But we will close rank around YOU.

Obama has nothing to do with it. It will not be spite. It will be civil disobedience in defiance of the corrupt actions of the DNC.

Howard Dean and Pelosi, the Media and the democratic party elites, have tried to knock you out of the race.

They have advantaged Obama in every possible way and they have throttled you in every possible way.

Your supporters will not allow that to go unpunished.

They can continue to handicap you at their own peril.
We will have our say in Nov.

I am willing to suffer through 4 more years of republican rule. I am not willing to watch and allow and approve as the democratic party swift boats its own members and disenfranchises its own base

The words of Senator Clinton, reaffirms my vote to her and ideas. But I cannot vote for a man that does not want other votes to count (specially Florida) and has been caught in a lot of lies, even after been defended by the bias media networks. In my view is Hillary or McCain.

I didn't see her statement on tv but i am curious! Why was she laughing when she said, “Please think through this decision,” Clinton said, laughing and emphasizing the word “please.”

“It is not a wise decision for yourself or your country.” can someone explain that to me.

What you should expect from a loyal party member. Now if all the former president Clinton bashing can stop, we will look like a unified party. Honestly, didn't BC leave the country in better shape than W? So, let's stop throwing one of the most successful two-term democratic presidents we have had in decades, under the bus. Attack the democratic nominee, Hillary, not the former president. Reagan fans would never defect, it is one of the only admirable qualities the Republicans truly efface.

I hate Clinton, but at the same time, I'm very glad / relieved to hear her say this, and I hope her supporters take it to heart when Obama captures the nomination.

There has been speculation that she has tried to sabotage the Democratic chances this election so as to build herself an "I told you so" campaign platform for '12. This new statement does not completely eradicate those suspicions, but, it is a step in the right direction.

Whether or not she offers this merely as an attempt to improve her plummeting approval rating, makes no difference to me, as long as she means it and will act accordingly once she loses the nomination, and as long as her Clintonistas listen to what she's said here and do indeed close party ranks and never, -ever- let another Bush/McCain into the White House.

This is the first unambiguously good thing I have heard Senator Clinton say in weeks. Perhaps there is hope.

Well done Senator.

These are the types of comments that both Sen. Obama and Sen. Clinton need to make. The unification of the Democratic Party should be priority if we are to take back the White House.

They both need to repeat this ad nauseum.

That being said. . .

I am an avid Obama supporter, but this makes my respect for Hillary Clinton jump it is great that she is putting up a fight while placing a seed in her supporters that even if she isn't the one that gets nominated thats no reason to abandon the hopes and dreams of the democratic party that both candidates hold in such high regard. I will support Obama til the end if he gets the nomination or not, but no matter who the Democratic candidate is I'm going to be perfectly happy with them.

I wont care how unified the party is I will not vote Obama. I don't like what I hear and I don't like his bias or racist implications. No one can sit in church for 20 years and say ho hum I'm not effected.
