Exactly, Clinton didn't give a crap about "disenfranched voters" until she realized she CAN'T win w/o them. I'm from Mich. EVERY democrat who knew what a "primary" is knew that the delegates weren't going to be counted because the gov. foolishly moved it ahead, Obama, Edwards, CLINTON agreed to the DNC rules now abide by them. Plain and simple.

Like i said i'm from Michigan, and if it matters white, male, young, college educated, and plan on voting for Obama. If Clinton some how steals the nomination i will SERIOUSLY consider registering as an independent and voting McCain in 08'

Hillary tries to imply that Obama "blocked" the re-votes in MI and FL. This is not factually accurate. This again just proves Clinton's willingness to tell her supporters anything to make herself look better.

Obama has said from the beginning that he will follow whatever the DNC decides. But Clintonites have been brain-washed into believing that he had some kind of upperhand control over the situation.

Its just more of the same from Clinton. It should or shouldn't happen, as long as SHE receives the benefits.

Time to turn the page-Obama 08

Nancy,as well as anybody, knows what the Democratic Convention Rules are,but is, now , willing to change the rules to benefit Obama. Super-delegates were designed for a specific purpose,to give their individual convictions in making a decision, based on what is best for the party ,as far as electability. Their job is to ignore the past and vote their convictions ,as things stand ,at the present. It was designed as a safe guard to over-ride things,if explosive info comes out in mid or late primaries. We already have a "Lame Duck" affair, with Florida and Michigan Democratic voters being disenfranchised..... Now,what else can we do to help Obama? Why did we put on the pretense of a real race at all,we should have just elected the freshman senator from the start,to be our nominee.Forget all serious doubts about the man's ability to lead this country. It would have saved everyone a lot of time and money.

Some folks need to get the facts STRAIGHT. Obama did not derail the MI and FL do overs. He was not going to stand by and let Hillary pay her way and strong arm her way to how and what she wanted. Some of you need to get a clue. I do not need or want Hillary as a leader because the her way or the highway attitude SUCKS SUCKS. The fear tactic that she uses amazingly is working on a many weak minded individuals. It is not Obama's fault. I AM A FLORIDIAN AND BLAME OUR GOVERNORS AND OTHER POLITICAL LEADERS FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES!!!

Hillary Clinton stated that she definitely would pick a Pastor for herself other than Rev. Jeremiah Wright. O.K., that certainly is her right!

However, Who did she pick and considers as her Pastor? In addition, how many times in the last four years did she attend services at that particular church?

This is a joke right? Obama did everything he could to disenfranchise the voters from Michigan and Florida. He doesn't want a revote because he's afraid he would lose. I find it hard to believe that the voters in those two states would believe that he really wants their votes to count.

Most of the respondents seem to see this for what it is the same ole politics. So much for the so called candidate of change. He had a chance to let MI and FL count last month. While HRC was pushing for representation he stayed quiet. Now that it is all over (or so he thinks) he comes out with this insult. Either that or the sun fried a few brain cells while he was vacationing in the Virgin Islands this week. BTW: During one of the biggest, longest and most important elections in a long, long, long, long time! Great judgement!

This race is not over by a longshot. Not a chance in hell. If FL and MI don't get a revote forget Dean and his August convention.

Like Aware says: Clinton or McCain 08!

Rules are rules let us not get caught up in the silly season...Even the people whom one would expect to have some kind of common sense are acting stupid. None of these politicans will remember you when they get to office in washington. It appears most of the democrates rules are old and outdated, and needs to be revised before for the next election.
For one, I think the winner of a state should take all the pledged delegates like the Republicans. It is simply and straight forward instead of the even allocation pledged delegates nonsense.

Michigan and Florida knew the rules prior to their perspective primaries and the outcome if they voted early. Rules are there to be followed and now since this is a close race doesn't mean that we should go back and change the rules after the fact.

I once got a ticket for speeding that ended up costing me over $200, I would have slowed down in the part where the officer was to avoid that ticket and just speeded back further down the road. We would all like some kind of do-over if it's possible but usually it's just to benefit you.

I live in Philadelphia and I feel that HRC's shameless attempts to divide Democrats by placing her own ambition above the good of the party will only continue to hurt her. I think that the delegates from each state should be divieded 50-50 between Obama and Clinton. That is the only fair solution which allows the delegates to be seated at the DNC.

Obvisouly integrity means nothing to HRC. After all of the Democratic candidates agreed not to campaign in Florida or Michigan, Hillary campaigned and called it fund rasing. She then argued for the delegates to be awarded only after it became apparent that she could not win with out them. Barack has released his tax returns from 2000 through 2006 and Hillary called that a good first step but chanllenged him to greater transparency with regard to campaing financing while refusing to release any of her income tax returns.

As we all know Hillary was just caught lying again. First she said that she was always against NAFTA although she was quoted saying that on balance NAFTA was good for New York and the US. Now she lyed about her trip to Bosnia. I place no stock in anything Hillary has to say. I think that she should just step aside now to avoid further damage to the Democratic party.

So why is the media keep downplaying Obama's misspoken words aka "LIES"? When asked initially if he was at church when Rev Wright gave those hateful sermons, his response was no. However, he changed his words during his speech and confessed that was he was aware of Rev Wright's inflamatory words. Months ago, Obama told the press that he does not know Rezko very well and he said Rezko donated only $150K; however, he later changed his words again and said he and Rezko are friends and they hanged out together a lot and he told the press that Rezko actually had donated $250K. I think the public has the rights to know that this man does not represent hope and change. I think more will surface about this guy as time goes on. And while people are bashing Hillary, we need to ask ourselves why there is a double standard here?

Fair would be to seat them as they voted. It is the fault of the Obama campaign for removing his name in MI. If he and Edwards were on the ballot, Clinton would still have recieved 50+ percent.
They are just trying to keep the overall delegate count in Obama's favor. If they seated them the FAIR way and the other 10 contests play out, Obama would have a pledge lead of less than 40 delegates. Time for Obama to guide himself by his words and not flipflop so much from what he says he believes in.

Hillary only cares about your vote if it is for her only - and then only if it gives her lots of delegates.

Remember folks:

Hillary said MI and FL don't count early on when she thought the nomination was her birth right. Then she changed her mind when she realized she couldn't win democratically. Hillary also said the little states don't matter either - only the big states! But yet the big states that she has won she has only won by a few delegates.

Hillary has not been negotiating. She has been dictating and laying blame. She wanted re-votes, but only on terms that favored her. She wanted to exclude people from re-voting. She wanted mail-in which has no chance of being done accurately and fairly.

If anything, if Hillary wants a re-vote, then you either do things by the book or you give in to the demands of the 1st place candidate.

Hillary only cares about herself.

Michigan was aware of the consequences of moving their primary to an earlier date. Why blame Sen. Obama? It was agreed by Clinton, Obama and Edwards that due that they would not campaign in Michigan and Florida due to the Democratic Party in the respective states. Both states, again, knew the consequences of their actions. Sen. Obama has never said to disenfranchise the delegates; but, to come to an equitable decisions on what to due. Clinton now is pressing this issue because she feels it would be in her favor. Is that the democratic process. The irony of all of this, is that if the delegate count were reversed, this would not be an issue for the Clinton campaign. She can't flip flop at will to get her way. I believe every one has a right to vote, but it was not the fault of Sen. Obama.

Rules are made to be followed and not broken or changed to suit anyone's personal needs. I do however believe the states of Michigan and Florida should have a voice at the convention. A compromise needs to be worked out between Clinton and Obama. I think a 55/45 split would not be out of the question. That is approximately what a revote would bring anyhow. I would not give an unfair advantage to either party. Really getting tired of the mud slinging!!

This issue has been very confusing to me. Clinton has portrayed Obama as the bad guy here when it was the leadership inside their own states who thought this was a good idea. A way to get their thoughts on the map ahead of super Tues.

I'm pretty sure they knew the rules back then, why did they think this action would not negatively impact the voters in these states? Seems to me MI & FL should focus their anger on those folks and not the candidates. Especially when the Clinton campaign makes it seem as if the only obstacle is Obama.

barry -

Thinking that one (or in your case 2) state is more important than any other state in these UNITED states is not democracy. That's why they were punished for breaking the rules; they thought they were and wanted to make their votes reflect their importance. So the DNC said "You're not above the rules, now go sit in the corner facing the wall". Maybe now Michigan and Florida will understand what it's like to be treated the way the 'big states' treat the 'little states'... not important. But Michigan and (more so) Florida are acting like bratty first graders that were denied their cookie at snack time for misbehaving! Would you give them their cookie back? Would that actually teach the first grader anything? Nah, it means he can misbehave and still get his cookie.

Hillary is shameless. She lied disgracefully on several occasions about her trip to Bosnia and that is adversely affecting every democrat, making us a laughing stock yet she feels pledged democrats would also be as shameless as she is to switch to her camp after all her lies and desperation. Hillary, please, accept the bitter truth, OBAMA is more electable, stop destroying the democratic party, bow out of the race and lets have enough time to plan for the big battle in November.

what a lier, how about telling Michigan voters that when the primary revote deal was ready and money for it were found (DNC, State of Michigan, and Hillary Campaign expressed consent), Obama's campaign played little spin politics and told NO to the agreed deal, because of some "legal concerns" THAT NOBODY ELSE REALLY SO THERE, INCLUDING THE LAWYERS WHO CRAFTED THE DEAL. This is a pathetic lier who is SCARED OF PEOPLE VOTING IN A PRIMARY!!! And now he accuses Clinton campaign, what a shameless person. I hope people say no to him in these states during the general election - NOTHING WORSE THAN TURNING BACK ON 2.7 MILLION PEOPLE, OR 8% OF TOTAL PLEDGED DELEGATES TO DISTRIBUTE.

And the Obama campaign twists and misrepresents the facts again. Obama went to court to stop the states from having another primary. Sounds a lot like GW going to court to stop the recount. Both are afraid of the outcome. Politics as usual. NOT CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN.

What happened to Michigan and Florida was their own leaders' doing. I feel sorry for the voters, but they also knew the rules, so why did they go vote?

Obama is being fair and I agree...I'm tired of Hillary trying to dictate to the DNC and trying to get people in those two states angrier.

This country doesn't need what Hillary's been displaying

Why does Obama think he needs to interject himself into the Michigan rules? After all, he agreed with them up front. Now stay out of it and let the process follow the agreed-to rules. Same for Hillary...

I'd say let sleeping dogs lie. Why go back on the rules just because the Clinton campaign is complaining?

The Obama camp should move on and talk about issues and concentrate on their campaign.

Or you want to keep dancing to the CLinton's tunes?

Please remember that Obama was not even on the ballot in Michigan. Even after that, he is willing to open the doors to figure out how to seat the delegates. What more can we ask of him. He is doing the right thing and not trying to bully those delegates like the Clinton Campaign. Once again Florida and Michigan, look at the bigger picture here.

I believe delegates should have a voice in both Michigan and Florida but am highly opposed to the Clinton attitude that they can dictate the rules; there isd no of the peopl or by the people when it comes to Clinton philosophy. In addition as a member of blue collar America, I am very much aware of big money trying to buy its way into the White House with the Clintons.

not to count the vote of 2 of the most critical states in a democratic presidential election is beyond belief....yes lets play by the rules and not count the votes..get real.....that is not a democracy....Howard Dean, Nancy Palosi and Harry Reid need to go. I am calling for their stepping down as they are unable to lead...
