PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (CNN) - As Sen. Hillary Clinton's underdog campaign soldiers on through Pennsylvania, Indiana and North Carolina, she has begun casting herself as a champion of democracy.
"There are some folks saying we ought to stop these elections," she said in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 29 as the audience booed the notion. "I don't think we believe that in America," she said. "The more people that have a chance to vote, the better it is for our democracy."
As Pennsylvania's primary nears, Clinton's staffers have increasingly accused Barack Obama's campaign of trying to disenfranchise Democrats. On Monday, in a satellite interview with a television station in Montana, Clinton herself made the charge.
"My take on it is a lot of Sen. Obama's supporters want to end this race because they don't want people to keep voting," she told KTVQ in Billings, Montana. "That's just the opposite of what I believe. We want people to vote. I want the people of Montana to vote, don't you?"
It is a growing theme in Clinton's stump speech as she makes her way through upcoming primary states: that she alone, up against rival forces aiming to silence the millions of voters in the 10 remaining primary and caucus states, will stand up for their right to vote.

obama did not win any of the caucuses fair and square. his party tugs arm wrestled everyone in attendance. what do you say when 95% of blacks vote for this man. i call it racism and unamerican. now these same tugs are threatening black law makers in every way possible. shame on you Mr. Obama.
So, let me get this straight.......me and the boys want this to end just like Bill ended his marriage???? Ohhh wait a minute, he didn't end it, he just enhanced it, LOL!!!
I got more where that came from guys...
Everytime I see Democrats complaining about wanting this to end I get amused. You people shouldnt be pissed at either Hillary or Obama, you should be pissed at Howard Dean and the Democratic leadership for not holding its primaries closer together.
So, let me get this straight.............me and the boys want this to end just like Bill ended Hillary's marriage??? Ohhh wait a minute, he did not ended it, he just enhanced it, LOL!!!
I want this to end....not because I don't value people's votes....but because she can't win, and we need to turn our attention to the general election.
Janie, nastiness against the Clintons? When it comes to nasty Clintons win the prize. More lies. Obama said campaign should continue. OBAMA 08'
I GUESS YOU HAVE TO LOVE AMERICA IN ORDER TO STAND UP FOR AMERICAN PRINCIPLES.
EVERYBODY GETS TO VOTE AND EVERYBODY'S VOTE NEEDS TO BE COUNTED!!!!!
Can someone please post on this blog Hillary's first response or commitment to the Florida and Michigan issue? We need to know where Hillary has always fought for those votes since Iowa. Thank you.
Ohhh man, keep on bringing it guys, I got a WHOLE LOT MORE where that cam from...
I no longer believe the majority of Senator Obama supporters are the well educated. Educated people talk issues and do not go into 'slime mode' as is evident by these postings.
Here are the facts – and I would urge you to prove these numbers to be incorrect........if you can:
28% and growing in numbers Clinton supporters will not support Senator Obama if he is the nominee.
Senator Obama will not carry Michigan and Florida in the General Election. (Clinton Supporters+ Michigan+ Florida= approx. 4 million democratic votes lost)
Senator McCain has approximately 279 electoral college vs. Clintons 273 and Senator McCain has approximately 382 electoral college vs. Obama's 170.....these are important because these are for the states that have already voted. Electoral college is whoever has the majority is the President of the United States!
Senator Obama will loose miserably in November! This nomination is for alot more than just the nomination and I am sure for a fact that the Camp Obama folks have no idea of that....just a bunch of followers! Too bad...
The problem is not that she has decided to stay in the race. The probelm is that her strategy is to tear down Barack Obama (even though there is 90% chance that he will be the nominee) instead of focusing on the issues and why she feels she would be the best choice for President. Oh yeah, I forgot.....she lies everytime she opens her mouth!!!!
It is unfortunate that Obama's supporters are so full of hate. They are showing the world that the Democratic party is truely not democratic.
Senator Clinton will do the most for Americans.
All Americans should jump on board with her.
She has the drive and the fight in her to help all of America.
She'll beat McCain. If she can stand tall with the media destroying her and Obama getting all the attention, she will knock McCain out.
President Clinton is a plus also.
President Clinton has been the most loved political figure for years.
He is not only loved in the US but also internationally.
He has balance the budget and kept us at peace in the world.
Republicans want Obama to win so they can win the White House.
Please support Hillary and STOP knocking her.
Wake up America!
We choose our spouses for better or for worse!! Why should we let Hillary redefine the basic rules of life for us in this nation? Are the Clintons better than others who take the marriage vows? Most people are out there voting for Hillary because they "believe" (or HOPE, oops) that they will bring back the "good-old economic" days of Bill. So, why should Hillary not take the "bad" behaviors of all the Clintons during their terms in office? I just don't get it!
YOU ARE SO FULL OF YOURSELF HILLARY. You have proven to me you do not care about Americans only yourself.
Here she goes again!!!! She needs to end the race. She's 8.9 million in debt and counting. The last ones to be paid are those poor souls from OHIO. Those working people that she is SO CONCERNED ABOUT TO GET THEIR VOTE!!!! Then leaves them UNPAID because she has better things to do with the money!!!!
Don't BLAME your opponent for your inability to PAY to stay in the race.
Duhhhhh....
As well as leaving the Democratic party and the whole process entirely, I also may stop tuning into CNN altogether if they don't down shift the Obama propaganda machine they're running. Never have I seen more blatant bias from the media as in this witch hunt of Senator Clinton and the call for her to leave the race. It's disgusting & un American (just ask Obama's Rev, he should know.) Let the primaries go on & let the voters decide, period.
Janie,
Just who will you be punishing if you leave the Democratic Party?
Can someone call her on her TV ads in PA? How can this liar claim in public that she will end outsourcing and fine companies who sed jobs overseas?
Hillary Clinton brought TATA counsulting into NY as one of her first acts as NY senator. They are the #1 outsourcer of American jobs to India. They outsource $4 billion in US jobs annually to India. And she brought them here.
Besides NAFTA, Bill Clinton expanded the H-1 and L-1 visa programs, and brought tens of thousands more people into the US, mainly from India and China, to take good paying jobs from US citizens in IT, telecommunications, and tech.
Once again, she lies and lies. Do a little research and do not be so gullible as to believe what this woman says. No American worker should support Clinton if they care about jobs here, particularly anybody in a union. She was also on union busting WalMart's board.
First, they shut out the voices of MI and FL voters. Second, they are trying to shut out others. What a shaaaaaame. Americans are too wise to see it through. The president of America must be the one for every America.
Janie, from Raliegh N.C. billery brings the attacks upon herself. get a clue woman, billery can not be trusted.
I saw Senator Clinton's interview on our local TV station this morning.
As an avid Obama supporter, I msut say that I agree wholeheartedly with her!
I do not think that the race needs to end before those of us in the state of Montana have the opportunity to cast our votes in the primary. This is the first time we have had a real chance to be heard in a race that really matters to the American people. I will glady go and cast my vote for Senator Obama on June 3rd and get him one step closer to the White House!
Bring it on!
Fired Up!
Ready to go!
Yes we can!!!!!!!
Every time she tries to manipulate the public it back fires. All her 'experience' is out dated.
"My take on it is a lot of Sen. Obama's supporters want to end this race because they don't want people to keep voting."
Really Senator?. . . Really?
