Clinton: Obama campaign wants to end race

Chelsea Clinton has taken a high-profile role in her mother’s presidential campaign.

Chelsea Clinton has taken a high-profile role in her mother’s presidential campaign.

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania (CNN) - As Sen. Hillary Clinton's underdog campaign soldiers on through Pennsylvania, Indiana and North Carolina, she has begun casting herself as a champion of democracy.

"There are some folks saying we ought to stop these elections," she said in Indianapolis, Indiana, on March 29 as the audience booed the notion. "I don't think we believe that in America," she said. "The more people that have a chance to vote, the better it is for our democracy."

As Pennsylvania's primary nears, Clinton's staffers have increasingly accused Barack Obama's campaign of trying to disenfranchise Democrats. On Monday, in a satellite interview with a television station in Montana, Clinton herself made the charge.

"My take on it is a lot of Sen. Obama's supporters want to end this race because they don't want people to keep voting," she told KTVQ in Billings, Montana. "That's just the opposite of what I believe. We want people to vote. I want the people of Montana to vote, don't you?"

It is a growing theme in Clinton's stump speech as she makes her way through upcoming primary states: that she alone, up against rival forces aiming to silence the millions of voters in the 10 remaining primary and caucus states, will stand up for their right to vote.

Hang in there Hillary. Don't let the old boys club push you around. I want to know how all the states are going to vote. The Michigan and Florida votes were denied to you. It's up to the remaining primary states to make a statement about their favorite candidate. I have this feeling Hillary that they won't let you down. It's time for women in those states to push back and show the world that this election won't be denied to a candidate like it was in the 2000 election.

The Race is Not over and she should not drop out. What is it about the Obama supporters that they are so nasty and also unable to do the math? Obama hasn't won. There are too many states that have yet to vote. They should be able to vote for at least the two remaining candidates! Are you just afraid that we will find out more distasteful things about Obama if the race should continue?

Won't impact me – I'll be doing a write in vote for Hillary if she doesn't win the nomination. I will NOT vote for that charlatan who has not done much of anything since he has been in the Senate. I will have a clear conscience if Hillary is not President because like the last 8 years, I will not have contributed to putting another moron in the White House.

And to D. Lalaine in Oregon – my IQ is probably 30 points higher than yours so get over yourself.

It's amazing how Clinton keeps putting words into Obama's mouth. Obama has never suggested that anybody be kept from voting.... quite the opposite actually.

And as an Obama supporter I can honestly say that I'm getting tired of all the backbiting & personal attacks. I, PERSONALLY, would like to see this end mostly because of the soap opera that has ensued. If we could have everyone who has not yet voted vote tomorrow, it would be a huge relief, so that we can all just focus on the General election instead of this now ridiculous primary.

And as a side note, I'm getting pretty sick of hearing Clinton puff up her resume, only to get shot back down into reality – it really is getting pretty pathetic!

Hillary Clinton, I hope you know that a majority of people are not fooled by your lies. We heard Obama say that you are free to stay in the race as long as you wish (though you are not going anywhere). Please stop your spin.

Obama and his supporters do want to end the race. They disenfranchised Michigan and Florida and they won’t get their vote in the general election if Obama gets the nomination. He did nothing to help get a re-vote. All he did was sit back and put his feet up and said that he will listen to whatever the DNC says. Well, that wasn’t good enough. He has shown that he doesn’t care for their vote and he will pay for it. He will not win Florida or Michigan and will lose his chances of getting back the White House.

I find it funny that D. Lalaine, Oregon states that people with an IQ above 10 can see through Hillary. Yet these very same people cannot see through Obama's baseless rhetoric.

    Janie, in Raleigh, NC...

If this is the straw that broke the camels back and you are leaving the DNC because your poster child Hillary has lost then let me be the first to show you the door and say goodbye and good riddance.

Your threat to leave should be followed by the action of actually leaving. Don't threaten the party just leave...

As for your little speech... You paid taxes not because you wanted to but, because it is the law. You worked in integrated schools not because you cared about education for everyone but because in Raleigh, NC there are no white only schools.... Get off your high horse and get Real !!!!

The race isn't over for Clinton – she's running for 2012 and actively trying to use hypocrisy, cynicism and anything else in the sink to do enough damage to Obama and the party to make sure such a run is possible.

No wonder Nader encouraged her to stay in the race – she has become him .

How can people vote for someone who worked to deffend Wall-Mart.
Clinton says she is for the little man, LOL, but she was an attorney for Wall-Mart. A company who is all about money. A company who promotes their workers to go on medicade for Insurance. A company that took a women who worked for them to court; who sufferd brain damage and is now has to be in a rest home for care. Her husband can not afford to pay for the bill but Wall-Mart needs the money more than they do I guess. Clinton was an Attorney for Wall-Mart. She in the past deffended Wall-Mart, and says she is for the working men and women of the USA. Where are the Labor Unions at Wall-Mart? Clinton.

Hillary, your fifteen minutes of fame were up years ago. Have the common decency to end this before you hand McCain the Presidency. Your lies have finally caught up to you, you are reaping what you sowed!

By the way, you are no Rocky – he was pure of heart and without guile!

No Senator Clinton, what we would like is for you to stop your republican campaign tactics and for you to stop stealing the ideas of others and inserting them into your own campaign promises. Especially when you have never kept any of the campaign promises you made in your race for the Senate.

You are a huge phony. Your entire platform is based upon the achievements of others..

IF you cared at all about this nation and it's future, you would not be running a "win at any cost" campaign. The only reason anyone would want you out is because you are a disgrace to our party.
