Clinton campaign to release March figures in two weeks

Moments after the Obama campaign announced that it had raised $40 million in the month of March, Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson told reporters on a campaign conference call that the New York senator's fundraising figures for that month would not be released until April 20 - the official FEC deadline, two days before the Pennsylvania primary.

"We knew that he was going to outraise us, he has outraised us for the last several months," said Wolfson. "We will have the resources that we need to compete and be successful in the upcoming primary states."

He said the Obama campaign had already outspent Clinton's in Pennsylvania about 4-to-1 and that he expected her campaign would be outspent about 2-to-1 on TV ad buys going forward.

Wolfson added that they expected Clinton's tax returns to be released within the one-week time frame she had promised. Clinton actually made the pledge eight days ago.

Obama raised 40 million. Impressive. I guess that his campaign now has the money to pay for the 15 million Americans that are to be left out of his health plan.

Health is as important as food, water and air. If you have them you live, if you do not have the tools to keep them you end up under a stone in a cemetery somewhere.

Yes, that $35 million she raised in February translated into only $11 million that she could use in the primaries because most of the donations were from big donors who had maxed out their contributions for the primaries and who have now maxed out their contributions for the general election. Let's see, in February Clinton raised $11 million for "ordinary folks" while Obama raised $55 million from "ordinary folks." What does that tell you about Clinton's support. Just like she's hiding her tax returns, she's hiding the fact that she is practically broke. She can't pay her small vendors, she can't pay her staff's health insurance, and she doesn't have much money to pay for ads in her firewall state of Pennsylvania. This is so over. How much damage will the Clintons do to their reputations before it's finished?

Yeah, it will be released in two weeks because they need a couple more weeks to gather more money from other sources to make it look like a closer race. I'm sure her contributions have run dry and she doesn't want to look bad... AGAIN!

And she's taking too long for the tax returns because she needs more time to change the return. DUH! You can see right through what she is doing.

**She said Barack needs to release his earmarks and he did.. Where's Hilary's?
**She said he needs to relase his tax returns, and he did... where's Hilary's?

    $40 million in MARCH!??!?!?!

Wow, and I thought Obama had a tough month in March. Heck, not even much happened in March besides controversy.

This guy keeps on suprising me. The American people really have faith in this man.

She raised maybe $25M, perhaps also adding another $1-3M in personal loans. She also does not want money to become a deciding factor for superdelegates, who may see that as a sign of weakness. If she can keep the superdelegates guessing before her big day in PA, she can reduce Obama's perceived momentum and maintain her margin of victory.

Of course, this will just backfire on her like so many other things have. It's not the funding, or the rhetoric, or gender, or anything like that. Her lack of transparency and trouble with the truth has become *the* issue with her campaign. This just adds gasoline to that fire.

Why has she not released her tax for 2007? This has been requested repeatedly and still nothing for the voters. If this simply task takes this long just imagine how long it will take her to get anything done in the White House!!!!

Why doesn't she ever report her money in a timely manner? She always lags on both her fundraising reports and her supposed tax returns.

We know the Clintons have been watching their totals carefully as they have money problems. If they haven't, why not? This delay is a very bad move...makes everyone feel like they are trying to doctor the total. Why don't they just admit that their few contributors are maxed out and that any money they got has mostly gone to the n/a general.

More underhandedness from the Clintons! They, obviously, have a lot to hide. Hillary Clinton is as transparent as a brick wall!

Senator Clinton let Bill give you a loan out of the $ 20 millions he got from the fail Dubai Port World deal they paid for and Senator Clinton blocked.

Well, we know she can't lie about how much she earned. The delay is in question though. Although I am not voting for her I am giving her the benefit of the doubt. If she doesn't disclose her taxes and campaign money she raised with then the next week and a half ( you know before the primaries so the news can get it to most Americans before voting) it will be a sign to all Americans how transparent she will be in the White House.

    To Susan from MO

Obama should have had the secret service take that guy away, he was more than patient. He wanted the picture to sell and he was too obnoxious. Hillary is definately trying to hide something. There is no excuse for the delay in reporting March contributions as well as her tax returns. I have a hard time believing that she will whole heartedly support Obama if she loses. She has said he is unqualified, unelectable and has used negative attacks just like republicans. I believe if he doesn't win she would rather be able to say, " see I told you so".

Oh people stop... Hillary released her February numbers before Obama (almost a week after Obama did). So stop it please. Maybe the numbers are good and want to carry the momentum to the April 22 primary, who knows and the truth who cares. Obama has been outraising Hillary for a long time now, so who cares.

Now her taxes, she is realeasing them soon. I read somewhere as soon as today or tomorrow. Get over it, I dont see Obama's records from the Senate out.

Plus, who cares about all of this, seriously.

Hillary's supporters are mostly BLUE COLLARS. How can they beat the rich donors in terms of money?

There is nothing to be ashamed of if you don't raise as much money as Obama, Hillary!

If you poeple are truly curious about her fund raising, go to her website. Once in a while they have the donor and money numbers in there, very transparent!!

    Go Hillary!

I'm sure Hillary could raise more than she has if the media's love affair with Obama wasn't costing her..why don't you people start reporting the news rather than make it?

TO RELEASE MARCH FIGURES IN TWO WEEKS!??? Why in two weeks, the quarter has already closed? What are they going to try and do, fudge some of April's fundraisings into March or something? Why won't they release March numbers now? What the heck are they waiting for? Hm...

It'sgetting too funny to see how desparate the Clintons are getting. I can almost see them stomping their feet, crying "We want to win" in a desperate tantrum. She doesn't even see that she's writing her own political epitath. Maybe finally someone will run against her in NY and send her back to Arkansas. We don't want her!!!!!!
