Look, another stimulus package will not help matters any. The only way to get this economy back on track is with a different President. Arranging another stimulus will only put another band-aide on the situation. The economy is an extensive wound which needs stiches and excessive healing. As our economy sits it will never heal if we keep putting band-aides on it. It will just keep bleeding. We need to get to the source and arrange for a long term goal to get this economy back on track to a healing point. And that wont happen until we get a President that really cares about the economy.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love some more money in my pocket courtesy of our government, but they don't have the money to give. So they'll just print it, which will cause inflation equal to the aggregate amount of stimulus, thus leaving the average person no better off, if not worse. But whatever wins elections, I guess....

Maybe some day these currupt incompetent leeches will realize that the only way to stimulate the economy is to cut government spending and lower government regulations, not to print money and mail it to people.

Most everyone in Pensacola makes in the 20,000's. We qualify for a big whopping 300.00. What's the use in even giving one? I just spent that on car repairs and it's not even close to paying my rent for a mth. They put it out there in the media that most taxpayers were getting 600.00 but if you go to irs.com, the calculater gives another story. I guess the 600.00 is for folks who can actually pay their bills.

No more stimulus packages. The one thats coming won't help. Most people are so deep in or afraid the bottom will fall out that they will be paying bills or just saving for a worse day. Use the money for education where 1 in 4 students are graduating. Or fix our infrastructure and keep the bridges from falling down. Stimulus means more debt. If we create more debt let it be for something that will matter.

Well speaker Pelosi (and the rest of Congress) this time make it a real economic stimulus package. Something that will really help the economy, as well as the under an un-employed.

Rather than running up the deficit by billions of dollars by sending checks that will either be A: Saved, B: used to pay down bills, or C: spent because of limited income, let’s bring back the WPA!

With all the roads and bridges that need repaired in this country, lets do two things at once. The under and un-employed could get real training that they could use in the future, they can get paid for doing something now, and our country can get the repairs it so desperately needs. That would be a real return on the investment.

The government can't keep bailing everyone out every couple of months. People are not being responsible for themselves. Alot of people took out bigger mortgages than they should have so they could pay off cars, take vacations, etc. NOW they want the government to bail them out. NONSENSE. People have to show responsibility for their actions not whine and cry to the government. Everyone wants everything handed to them. I don't want my taxes raised to pay off another debt to China for another round of stimulus money so I can buy their products to help their economy.

I don't understand what point people are trying to make when they complain people will just use the stimulus money to pay off their debts. Am I the only person who can see that having people out of debt would be a longer term benefit to the economy than blowing it at Wal-Mart? No, everyone can't pay off their debt with $600 (I know I can't) but it will really help a lot of people see the light and give them the $600 they were in debt to spend down the road. You can't just look at the here and now – that causes economic problems. Duh.
