Paul   April 5th, 2008 9:18 pm ET

Who cares? You haven't confirmed who Colonel Sanders is voting for yet? And what about Michael Jackson? And which washed up celebrity/politician endorsed Obama yesterday?

Lancaster John   April 5th, 2008 8:56 pm ET

Oh come on now. Who cares what Fred Thompson says or does. He may be a pretty good actor but as a politician he's a ponpous far-right conservative who is mostly full of hot air. He spent time in congress as a hobby but has anyone seen him do anything of importance in public life? I think not. John McCain must have better things to do in this campaign that listen to old actors!

Rich   April 5th, 2008 8:48 pm ET

Fred Thompson is a Hollywood actor just like Ronald Reagan. Very Reaganesque. John McCain was a foot soldier in the Reagan Revolution. Maybe they could have new Law & Order shows with John McCain making guest appearances. And in those episodes, Ronald Reagan's ghost could speak through an Ouija Board or a séance and endorse John McCain, and say how Reaganesque he is. It's morning again in America. Why would we ever want to return to the peace and prosperity we had, less than 8 short years ago?

AJ   April 5th, 2008 8:35 pm ET

PLEASE…tell me WHY is this news? A friend goes to visit a friend..WOW!!! How about you guys at CNN go out and corner all of our BIG 3 potential Presidents and ask them EXACTLY how do they plan to reduce the drop out rate 50% in the next 2 to 4 years. NOW THAT WOULD BE NEWS….

m. stanford in SC   April 5th, 2008 6:54 pm ET

I hope that McCain doesn't fall for this guy for VP. He needs to be looking for a VP with some serious economic skills. He already fills the "nice guy, hand-shaker, and back-slapper" position. Another one of those isn't needed. MS in SC

Hopefully its not for veep slot on the ticket. Thats the last thing we need, two real old guys that are out of touch with with our needs. McCain your chance was in 2000 and you blew it :(

David   April 5th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

Two old people shouldn't be a running mate, that's my opinion.

Morton   April 5th, 2008 5:52 pm ET

The VP pick of McCain will be Thompson or Huckabee. Gotta get the Christian right wing.

Grif   April 5th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

If his name was "Freda", Ok…. However, t he would still have to do something with his Hormones… You need a Woman for you're Number 1. John.. A Camander in Cheif, requires a Woman as the Deputy in These Times…
