Hospitals and insurance companies hide behind the privacy of medical records. We know these kinds of things happen.

A friend of mine, a lawyer, had a one week gap in her health insurance as she was changing plans. She was mugged, had a head injury and was able to access a state victims program account. (new lawyer with student loans) Her daughter, a doctor, told her to never be without insurance as there are some procedures an ER will never do if the person doesn't have insurance.

Nice that the Clinton campaign doesn't feel that it needs to regard even a minimal journalistic standard, i.e. confirming a story. Without such a standard candidates are telling tales, not stories.

I try to understand what Clinton supporters are truly seeing but, my education and common sense does not allow me to be persuaded.

Another example of what polticians will say to win your vote. Can we believe even one story or situation that a politician uses to get our vote? It has been proven that some will say anything to the general public. The sad thing is that the general public will believe it with no questions asked. I have been paying attention and logging the headlines that are put on the home page, and nothing that would be benefitial to Hillary and harmful to Obama is displayed on the main page.

My daughter was in the hospital for an operation. The Dr. nicked her liver and sewed her up! Gangreen set in and she almost died. The HOSPITAL LOST the FILM of the operation and the DR left town. I don't believe anything a HOspital says about anything!

While you can agree with the Clinton spokesman that the story she tells illustrates her point about healthcare, the issue really is not that. I see the issue as here is another time she has apprently mistated facts to embellish a story whether by intent or omission of verifications(perhaps someone was sleep-deprived at the time?). Trust is a very important thing and it is very difficult to trust her. One also has to wonder why the story was not checked out more thoroughly. As President, is she going to blindly get us into a war or make some policy decisions based on faulty informatino that even a cursory check would have revelaed was possibly incorrect?

Maybe that's what happened in the Bosnia trip as well. Somebody asked Sen. Clinton, "Wow, you landed in Bosnia… didn't you have to run to your cars to escape the sniper fire?" Her campaign didn't have time to fully vet the facts of that anecdote, but from a larger perspective it accurately depicted the fact that Bosnia was a more dangerous place to visit than, let's say, Camp David, MD.

Television tycoon Elisabeth Murdoch, daughter of News Corp. owner Rupert Murdoch, is holding a fundraiser for Barack Obama at her London home.

The invitation to the April 28 event at Murdoch's west London house lists Murdoch as one of eight "event chairs." The others include Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow, Warner Bros. U.K. managing director Josh Berger and U.S.-born chef Ruth Rogers.

The 20 "event hosts" include art collector Kay Saatchi, fund manager David Blood and Elizabeth Saltzman Walker, fashion director of Vanity Fair magazine

It is beginning to look like her whole campaign is based on lies and she keeps getting caught out.
I have come to the conclusion that the Clintons are incapable of honesty, what must foriegn leaders be thinking of the prospect of her becoming president would they ever trust her???

Are we seriously supposed to be surprised that Hillary Clinton has been caught in yet another attempt at subverting the electoral process just so she can "win" the presidency? She's slow to release real information, quick to lie, and never will understand that she's still losing to Obama. She's been losing ever since the people actually started voting and the media had to stop treating her like the only democrat running. She was losing when her campaign tactics went republican, and she's going to lose by the convention in August.

Is anyone surprised? This woman has shown that she will do or say anything to get elected. Bosnia? Chelsea running laps around the trade center before it came tumbling down? Now a ficticious story about a pregnant mother…

And these are just the ones that have been proven.

A vote for Hillary is another vote for the typical Washington politics, lies & deception.

When will her supporters wake up from the nightmare they are in and realize that voting for her would usher in another Clinton era based on lies, deceit, cronyism and scandal.

Question… Why doesn't this article portray both sides of the story? For example that this story was told to Senator Clinton by the Sheriff of that county. Why would she doubt his integrity?

When will the public learn that this candidate will do or say anything to be elected. Truth is worth something. We have had 8 years of blatant lies, we need to be told the truth. We can deal with what is.. What we can't deal with is total lies being laid before us as the truth. What bothers me the most is that there are no reasons for the lies that Ms. Clinton is using. That is disturbing..

I'm no Clinton fan, but I don't think this one can be called a "lie", the way some will make it out to be. I think in this case, she didn't check her facts, but she's no reporter - how accurate do we expect her to be before retelling a story she's told? I don't have an answer, but it's an interesting question… I think she will end up taking some heat for this, because she used the story in such an emotional way. But I'm not sure that it's something that Obama or another politician wouldn't have done.

I watched this this morning on TV. She appeared to be repeating what was told to her from a Sheriff''s deputy. The real story here is that millions of people are uninsured. Why is preventative and pre-existing health care not discussed. I am sick of this beauty pageant the media has been feeding us.

I understand the issues of health care in this country, but please Hillary, don't be so gullible and eager for sensationalism in the future. All stories should be checked out before you go out on the campaign trail. Will you be making decisions at 3 am in the white house without first checking them out? I would hate to see you keep running to the refrigerator to see if the light is on everytime someone made on crank call.

And Hillary MOCKS her SUPPORTERS again in their faces. Too bad they can't accept the truth that she is a habitual liar. She needs to stop lying. The American public has had enough lies over the last 8 years.

CNN you call this news? I guess all Senator Clinton has to do now is say "That is not what I meant…." and the press will move on from this subject. O that's right, that only works for Obama. Why don't you focus on the issues rather than on these silly details. I guess you couldn't focus on the issues, because then the press would actually have to admit that Senator Clinton's campaign has more substance.

While I don't think it's smart to repeat an unconfirmed story, it's a sad day in America when people have to fabricate stories and then relay them to Presidential candidates. There are plenty of sob stories regarding the failures of the heath insurance industry - why waste people's time with falsehoods?

I'm not a Hillary supporter, but I wouldn't blame Hillary if she was told a fabricated story - but question why she wouldn't repeat any number of stories that were confirmed and avoid this particular one.

Unfortunately, Hillary can' t afford to staff change this late in the game because someone should be fired over this poor decision.

I'd kindly request one of her supporters to quote something she said … really anything … which is accurate.

Are we done nitpicking on Hillary yet? If so, can we move on to nitpicking Bush or Obama for their stories and comments? Or do we simply call those stories and decisions reflecting poor judgment as "boneheaded", as Obama likes to say when having to speak for his inaccuracies or errors of judgment? It's a real shame that the media is hellbent on destroying the reputation and career of a great woman who has done more for this country than any typical journalist. Instead the media would prefer to support a candidate with an ineffective track record in the senate, one who has done nothing for this country - opnly for the black community in Chicago. I am a resident of Athens, OH and have on many occasions had the privilege of being treated at O'bleness Memorial Hospital. I was born there and I have given birth there 2 times. It is a wonderful hospital, full of great people. It makes me question my support for Hilary Clinton that she told a story that she didn't take the time to substantiate.

How can you tell when Hillary Clinton is lying? When she opens her mouth. Another lie. How many does that make that have been proven to be false?

Obama should probably drop the story about being a "professor" of constitutional law as he was a lecturer, and some of the other information he has embellished for political purposes. Do people think that no one has died in the US after being refused treatment?

Of course the hospital is going to say this. It's not Clinton s job to pursue this story as told to her, nor is it the right time for her to defend herself in a liable case, eventhough she never mentioned the hospital.

This however, does not negate or make false the fact that this story was told to Clinton and that people do die in the US after being turned away from hospitals.

Hillary is responsible for her own shallow, superficial words, and should have NEVER used such a story without thoroughly checking it out first. Maybe she doesn't like to do the hard work of verifying information, such as when she didn't read the intelligence report on Iraq before voting FOR Bush's war. But she has a staff who should be able to verify information and keep her advised of where the truth of these matters are. The problem is that Hillary doesn't care if it is true or not, as long as it fits her meta-desire to impress people. She is not a fit representative for her state, let alone the entire United States. She should not hold any elective office, with such quantitative and qualitative carelessness as to the matter of truth.

Hillary didn't doubt George Bush when he wanted to go to war with Iraq. Do we really need a president who believes everything she is told. Sounds very dangerous if you ask me.
