what will it take clinton sheep, it is just blatantly obvious that no matter what she does you will somehow try to spin it into her being believable. there are numerous posts on here by clinton backers saying well it doesn't matter it happened somewhere or the hospital is just protecting themselves, this is not the point. the point is she has been caught embellishing stories to make herself look good or right on issues ( isn't that why we dems hate bush on iraq?) . secondly as democrats we have beaten on many of bush's cabinet ( rove, cheney, rummy) for their sad comments and beliefs, take a close look at clintons campaign cabinet, how many of them need to get caught before it becomes obvious that she and her campaign is of the same cloth as bush. its time to move on from hillary and her mess, the party needs a strong, intellectual leader who can seperate from mccain, not one who has this baggage that will haunt us the entire election.

The media, Obama and McCain endorsers are blaming Hillary for the story. There were reporters and cameramen when the sheriff was relating the story to Hillary. She did not make it up. Hillary trusted this individual, I suppose the fault lies with whomever's job is to check these facts,we cannot possibly think that this should be Hillary's task.Although,let's not forget we still do not know for sure if the hospital is being truthful.

Then ask the people in Germany how is life now with there Universal Health Care Plan. They are living off of nickles and pennies a day. If you really think Hillary can do it then vote for her. I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT YOU CAN BE TURNED DOWN BY A HOSPITAL BECAUSE YOU ARE UNINSURED. SIX MONTHS BEFORE I WAS ELGIBLE FOE MEDICARE A PART OF MY SPINE COLLAPSED AND I WENT TO A HOSPITAL IN SOUTH FLORIDA WHERE I HAD BEEN TREATED BEFORE WHEN I HAD INSURANCE. I HAD MY MRI REPORTS WITH ME AND I WAS ADMITTED. THE DOCTORS PLANNED MY SURGERY FOR THE NEXT DAY. THEN!!!!! THEY DISCOVERED I HAD NO INSURANCE AND THEY SENT ME HOME ALTHOUGH I COULD HAVE BEREN PARALYZED FOR LIFE. !!!!!!!I HAD TO RIDE IN A CAR TO MIAMI ABOUT 70 MILES TO GET MY SURGERY.

Interesting how the Obama people are twisting this story to attack Hillary Clinton. She used a story told to her by an individual who claimed first hand knowledge of this incident in order to outline how important medical coverage is for Americans. That person didn't get their facts straight, but there is no doubt that there are Americans who suffer and who die because they don't have medical insurance. I am sure that most of the people who are reading this know someone or have heard of someone who was turned away or denied medical treatment due to lack of insurance. Instead of the Obama supporters looking objectively at their candidate's plan and finding it wanting, as it is, they perfer to misrepresent the facts of the story told by Ms. Clinton in order to try to score yet more cheap political points on the backs of the under- and un-insured Americans. Tells me a lot about them and their candidate.

While I'm at it, what was the official cause of death? Unisnured? Hillary should check out the facts before she slanders a hospital. Hospitals keep good documentation of every patient and event that happens, all the time! Yes we have health care insurance problems. Hospitals like to be reimbursed for the care we provide, since everyone there draws a paycheck, pays at the pump and grocery store like everyone else. Hillary didn't exactly lie on this one but for sure didn't use good judgement not "vetting" this one first.

I totally disagree with people that say she's lying in this particular story. She just related something she's heard, that turned out not to be true. It's hardly lying.

Now, that said, there's 2 points :

1 – Obama has been accused of lying although he also merely reported what his campaign have said about Goolsbe meeting with the Canadians, which turned out not to be true. So I guess that makes them even on the unfair 'lying' accusations.

2 – "She had no reason to doubt his word” ... Hmmmm ... really ? buying into a sensational story and going for it without checking for the facts ? especially when the story is that publicly exposed ? doesn't that recall you about something ? Irak vote anyone ? Talking about judgement ...

Objectively, If it's 3 AM in the morning and the phone is ringing carrying alledged news that Russia is starting a nuclear war against the U.S. I want no one other than someone that is willing and able to check the facts to pick up the phone.

It's against the law to deny care as well as HUGE liability for a lawsuit. The hospital would have treated her and sent the bill to her home address, if she were truly uninsured. It isn't bias- it's just that Obama doesn't do this, so they can't report it. i can't wait for her to joke about this on yet another late night performance...maybe she will act like a pregnant lady who dies because she can't get treated and then she'll laugh hysterically about it. as a future resident, i get to see the true side of medicine...everyone gets treated equally...heck, we don't even care if you smoke crack just so you tell us so we don't go searching for some other cause...we don't care if you have insurance or not, people who don't have insurance probably are more self conscience because they know they'll be getting a bill in the mail for self-pay...the truth is, they probably won't pay anything and the hospital will eat the costs...this is the reality of the american health care system. Again, everyone in the event of an emergency (especially pregnant ladies) gets at the very least screened (because not all are TRUE emergencies) -- its called EMTALA (google it/wikipedia it)...Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. Thus, if she wants to "change" healthcare she should at least know something about it right? VOTE OBAMA PLEASE...GIVE AMERICA A BREAK FROM INSANITY!

Who cares if this one particular story is not confirmed as fact? The important "fact" is that many, many people all over our country DO INDEED die because they are uninsured or underinsured. Check out any health care provider or hospital who attempts to serve the underserved to learn the TRUTH about the impact not having insurance has on health. The worth of this "charity care" is clear to anyone whose goal is a healthier community. And, see FamiliesUSA.org for some statistical data: "For the more than 47 million Americans who are uninsured, lack of health insurance can have dire consequences—medical debt, missed care, and even premature death. [They are creating] the first-ever state reports on the number of deaths due to lack of health insurance." The TRUTH of the particular story repeated by Hillary Clinton has no real connection to the sad truth that many of us cannot afford the medical treatment we need! Please use your brains and then support the candidate you feel can best address this issue, be it Clinton, Obama, or McCain. Just do not hide your heads in the sand, and say the important issue is whether or not the example used was fact. Ever heard of a PARABLE? Look at this "story" as one, if it makes you feel better...
