If only America were smart enough to ignore the extremes (Schultz & Limbaugh); then we could have a reasonable debate. Warmonger is kind of harsh; what McCain is is a professional, lifelong soldier-admirable, but certainly not presidential.

I love how the left confuses strong policies against countries like Iran as being signs of being a warmonger. If you talk tough and never back it up like the Democratic party does you don't get results since most nations in the Middle East only understand the language of force. The only time you will see an issue between Middle Eastern countries solved by means other then force and threats of force is when somehow it has to do with hurting Israel.

As for anyone who actually thinks that the Democratic candidate will bring the troops home quickly your living in a dream world. There is no viable currently running who is willing to have their presidential record marred by millions of deaths in Iraq because the US pulled out and a civil war ensued. Of course these are the same idiots who expect things to change over night in Iraq in regards to political problems even when our own country didn't get things right on the Constitution the first time and had huge political problems in it's early days. Of course none of the baboons in Washington would know that since they seem to think that things ran so smoothly when this country began and that their was no political strife when the Federalist party ran this country in the beginning.

Every time the senator begins a conversation he is talking about war. In his speechs he continuously talks about iran and other enemy's of America. He speaks about what he is going to do in the white house and WMD's as if he is President Bush. I see no diffence in Mccain and Bush, Bush claim to be a republican who would reach across the isle.

This is the very reason McCain will not get elected President - the country had an opportunity to get rid of Bush 4 years ago and with him the Iraq war, and blew it. Now, the country will be given another opportunity to shut down this ungodly war with the election of either Clinton or Obama. Let's hope this country has learned from it's mistake.

If the entire US Radio universe wasn't owned by Right wing Zealots maybe he would have more listeners. There is no question that REPUBLICAN "DEREGULATION" resulted in REPUBLICAN "RADIO DOMINANCE". Getting to the question, some of us have had enough of paying for military incursions around the world with results like this. It takes us 2 months to train soldiers. Apparently it takes them MORE THAN 5 YEARS. The Iraqi government still can't stand on it's own feet. Let the civil war resolve itself at this point. They have had plenty of time to do it peacefully. McCain is going to spend Whose money to stay there 100 years?

What's the problem...?

I thought that if the comment was accurate, then there would be no backlash.

Usually, a man who has seen combat does everything in his power to avoid sending others into that kind of hell. That is 'not' Senator McCain.

After evaluation of the statement, I deem it to be accurate.

I really like the comment by the lady from Florida where she stated Republican Administrations like to go to war. Take a look at history and you will see:

 World War I Woodrow Wilson-Democrat
 World War II Franklyn Roosevelt-Democrat
 Korean War Harry Truman-Democrat
 Vietnam Kennedy/Johnson-Democrats

Oh let's not forget the American Civil War Lincoln-Republican, whose agenda was to preserve the union and abolish slavery.

My how we soon forget.

I'm getting so sick of reading in the news every single day that someone somewhere said something and now one of the candidates has to denounce it. What ever happened to the right to free speech? Hold the candidates accountable for what THEY say. I think HIllary Clinton is a power-hungry sore loser... does Barack Obama now have to publicly denounce my comment?

Schultz commenting about McCain is like Limbaugh commenting about Clinton. Who cares? It's all about ratings anyway. When is the last time you saw Schultz's name posted on a nationally-respected web-site or TV show before now.

Brandon,

Just because the guy was a POW, does not give him character. Everything he does, say, or don't do can not be washed with the fact that he served in the military at one time. If it was that important how did GW beat him. Didn't see to many people placing that as a preimum then.

If all of you would take the time to educate yourself you would know that just as many wars have been started by democrats as republicans. And yes there will be more wars, sorry to smack you with that bit of reality but that's the world we live in. McCain just tells you like it is, unlike Obama/Clinton who try to spin the reality of the world to whatever the fringe base of their party believes. Supporting a war doesn't equal being a war mongering. I hate war but also know that when humanity as failed itself we are sometimes forced to bring military action for the good of the world.

That is so lame. When is the last time Bill Oreilly or Rush Limbaugh was urged to clarify their remarks about Democrats or distance themselves from the canidates they support?? There is such a double standard when it comes to talk radio. And that is because COnservatives are so used to having the market to themselves. They cant stand the rapidly increasing LIberal Format, or the fact that it even exists. If you have ever actually listened to a few of Ed's shows, you would know that his views on politics and this country in general are based on common sense, something Right Wingers have never possessed.

McCain is just another me too Bush and Bush is the second president that I would call a warmonger. The other one was another Texan, Lyndon Johnson, both started wars on lies and then keep lying to try to convince the American people they are representing them.
They both only represented them selves and tried to make them selves KIngs or dictators.

Terry from VA,

When did McCain call for the bombing of Iran? I like you you

1) latch on to a misstatement (Iran training Al Qaeda),
2) take his "100 years" point out of context, and
3) not actually listen or read his stances on the war (he has a clear definition of what victory is)

to make your case. It would be equally true to say that Obama is a coward since he wants to cut and run from Iraq and abandon our allies in the region.

The fact that McCain sees winning this war as necessary to the security of the USA does not make him a warmonger any more than wanting to cut and run from Iraq makes Obama a coward.

I dont believe Mccain is a warmonger. I believe , he hates war, having gone through it.

The thing that African-Americans and many people didn't like is his VOTE Against the Martin Luther King jr. holiday.. what was it that Mccain voted against honoring a martyr for his beliefs.

indeed, if you read anything at all about mccain, you would see that he is a war-monger and he does not hide it. anyone who still to this day thinks vietnam and iraq are a good idea, and that if we just press on and "stay the course" we can win these wars, and that the deaths on all sides are worth it...hmmmm, yes, sorry, then i will have to question his character.

Shultz is right. Grandpa definitely fits the definition. Hope this is what Clinton supporters really want, if they decide to jump the fence to the dark-side when Hillary drops out. If they're so angry and vindictive, then maybe they should just stay home on election day.

I'm not for McCain ...Shultz and Rhodes are scary and very mean! We need unbiased liberal radio.

In one breath, McCain says that he doesn't like war.
In the other breath McCain is as hawkish as they come:
Bombbombbomb bombbomb Iran! McCain glibly sings.

Bush says '50 years in Iraq'.
McBush says '100 years in Iraq'.

Veterans are homeless; and McCain is not fighting for his comrades who are homeless on the streets.

McCain CANNOT be trusted to 'walk quietly while carrying the nation's 'big stick'.
It will be much much more of the same (McBush) should McCain becomes President.
Americans will find out later that they AGAIN made a huge mistake with McBush.

Obama really doesn't have to do anything!
Schultz has said over and over as I am listening to his radio show right now that he dosen't speak for the Obama campaign.
He didn't even ask Schultz to be there.
He's not a surogate. NOTHING!
And now he is mad that McCain is trying to pin what he said on Obama.

And I am too!

McCain IS a WARMONGER

And now he is mad that McCain is trying to pin what he said on Obama.

And I am too!

McCain IS a WARMONGER

I am afraid it is true that John McCain is a warmonger. Republican administrations just like to go to war for whatever reason. I don't see it any differently with this candidate. Let's vote DEMOCRATIC so we can bring our troops home and fix the mess the Republicans made (again).

GO HILLARY 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Name-calling is not nice, but McCain should be called on his "song" about bombing Iran. McCain's little ditty may have amused some of the wing-nuts on the right, but it's less helpful in finding a real solution to tensions in the mid-east.

Very ironic that the all-inclusive, open-minded, level-headed liberal Democrat is most apt to take a single issue and slap a label on someone. Signs of a desperate, divided political party. If you knew anything about John McCain, anything at all, you'd never question his character. Read something, learn something.

A presidential election with a inexperienced candidate on one side and a Vietnam War veteran who voted for the Iraq war on the other. In 2004, democrats viewed that the Vietnam veteran's experience would make him the best leader to end the Iraq conflict. Now, in 2008, we have the same scenario with the party's candidate reversed and we have leading democrats calling the inexperienced one the best to handle the Iraq crisis and the other, who's son was on the ground in Iraq, a "warmonger". No wonder Democrats can't hold the presidency. There was no place for that label in the 2004 election and there is no place for it in this election.
