Clinton had a tough time bowling on the Ellen show.
Clinton had a tough time bowling on the Ellen show.

(CNN) — Hillary Clinton is lucky Barack Obama didn't bite on her April Fools Day wager.

Appearing on the talk show Ellen Monday, the New York senator showed her bowling skills may be every bit as lacking as those of her chief rival. On a makeshift bowling alley on the show's set, Clinton missed the pins entirely on her first try, and only knocked out one on her second and final attempt.

Her bowling performance follows that of Obama, who scored only a 37 at a Pennsylvania bowling alley earlier this month. Obama later called that score "terrible," and joked, "My economic plan is better than my bowling," to which a fellow bowler quipped, "It has to be."

Clinton herself later ribbed Obama for the display, challenging him to a "bowl-off" for the Democratic presidential nomination.

"A bowling night. Right here in Pennsylvania. The winner take all," she said. "I'll even spot him two frames." Clinton quickly revealed that was an April Fools Day joke.

She told reporters later on her campaign plane she even has her own bowling ball, bag, and shoes from her days in the White House, though acknowledged she hasn't bowled since those days.

Then I guess Obama wins, right Hillary? Or did you misspeak again?

THE SKILLS IT TAKES TO BE TRUTHFUL ARE A BIT RUSTY AS

WELL.

Terry   April 7th, 2008 5:14 pm ET

The sad thing about this story is I don't believe that she has her own bowling ball, bag and shoes from her days in the White House. I don't believe anything that comes out of her mouth.

where's the video? i love her!

konjit   April 7th, 2008 5:14 pm ET

TRACY   April 7th, 2008 5:16 pm ET

Talk of using others campaign design to run your campaign. You can drag this campaign as much as you want but there is no doubt Obama is the clear winner. And now we can look forward for a genuine president America has ever had!

Marc in DeKalb, IL   April 7th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

Look at me, my husband made 52 million giving speeches, but I can bowl a "1″ on 2 frames, I'm just like all of you people!

Look at how blue my collar is!

You're not fooling anyone, Hillary…

Miguelito   April 7th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

Hah. You lose Hillary. You (jokingly) moved the goal posts again by saying you could beat him at bowling, but you probably cant.!

Key West Sun   April 7th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

Well another slow day in the newsroom, not sure if you would rate this as + or - for either. Then again, there maybe a need now for the Bowlers Party.

Roger   April 7th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

Hillary saying she should get the nod because she carried the bigger states is like Univ. of North Carolina saying they should be in the finals tonight instead of Kansas because they had a better shooting percentage from 3 point territory. These shots count for more than 2 point shots and highlight a greater scoring potential so they should be given the win even though they lost in first half points, second half points scored, total points scored, rebounds, steals and blocked shots.

This is getting ridiculous. More people in the media and DNC need to call her to the carpet and explain she has all but lost this race. There is a difference between quiting (which she says she won't do) and losing (which she has done).

Niky   April 7th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

Once again… lying about her experience.

Go Obama   April 7th, 2008 5:18 pm ET

This woman running around everywhere and saying anything has no credibility to Americans and we have had a president who did such. Time for American people to take back their country!

Donald, SC   April 7th, 2008 5:18 pm ET

Wowwww!!!! Is this news that is important for saving America. Hey you Clintonites look no bashing. Are you happy now? Don't worry some BLOGGERS will do all the bashing you hate. Take note that it is NOT CNN that is doing the bashing, but bloggers.

Grant Devereaux   April 7th, 2008 5:18 pm ET

I suspect its been quite a while since Hillary had anyone's balls in her hands. Bill has been out of town doing what he loves best - talking to people and pressing the flesh.

jones   April 7th, 2008 5:19 pm ET

Hillary eat your words!!

PMC   April 7th, 2008 5:19 pm ET

Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate and the Democrat candidate that CAN carry Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan. I do not care how she bowl, I just care that she is the nominee so we can win in November!

EDW   April 7th, 2008 5:20 pm ET

Interesting how the Mark Penn resignation is already old news and we're talking about her lame bowling skills. The Mark Penn story is huge, but the media is sweeping it under the carpet because they want Clinton to stay in the race. The media wouldn't have much to talk about if she got out.

Vig   April 7th, 2008 5:21 pm ET

Even bowling is not scared. CNN will say something negative against Clinton no matter what she does or says. It's known as the evaporation process. Boo and hiss to CNN.

Lana   April 7th, 2008 5:22 pm ET

That was a fun show. Hillary also made an impressive statement about gay rights and launched an amazing initiative on finding a cure for breast cancer. Why isn't CNN reporting on this? Women (and men) everywhere should be cheering about this. I know some Obama supporters (not all) will never be gracious about this, but this is something we've not heard from the Republicans.

villy   April 7th, 2008 5:22 pm ET

Peter Kavanagh   April 7th, 2008 5:23 pm ET

It seems whatever Barack does or says she does within days .
Her whole campaign has been in the gutter for two months she should just give up and let Sen. Obama prepare for McCain .

Obama 08 !!!

YES WE CAN !!!

Bayou Joe   April 7th, 2008 5:24 pm ET

That is the decider for me. Bowling skills are necessary to be President, so neither of them are qualified to be President. What if they had to bowl to win the war in Iraq. Or maybe just to raise funds for charity. Nope that does it for me. Mcain in 08

Susan S.   April 7th, 2008 5:24 pm ET

I don't care how either of them bowls, I just want a candidate not in thrall to lobbyists.

That rules out Clinton. (The Mark Penn business is disgraceful but totally in character with everything we know about her.)

Obama 08 & 12.

@americans   April 7th, 2008 5:24 pm ET

this woman thinks the presidency is a joke; typical of Billary calling Obama names but not having the 'balls' to back it up!

Billary lied about Nafta/Colombia-trade deals; she got caught on it!
Billary lied about Bosnia sniper fire-foreign experience; she got caught on it!
Billary lied about the hospital/deceased woman-to boost her socialist healthcare agenda; she got caught on it!

BILLARY LIED ABOUT BOWLING, SHE CAN'T EVEN MOVE A MUSCLE - NOW THE JOKE IS ON YOU FAT LADY!!!!

BILLARY, DO US ALL A FAVOR AND DROOOOOOOOOOOOOP OUT!!!!

Realist   April 7th, 2008 5:26 pm ET

Although Hillary has experienced problems with her campaign and those who work for her, none of these problems can compare with Obama's history. CNN rarely mentions Obama anymore because when they do, people remember his pastor and they hope people will forget about his 20 year experience as a major player in a racist and America hating church which is an integral part of Obama's resume. I've spoken with a lot of people and believe me Obama fans, people are not going to forget this. Being a part of a racist church is not something Obama is going to be able to overcome believe me.

Mike   April 7th, 2008 5:26 pm ET

Well of course, it matches her character and political phylosophy.

Hispanics now for Obama   April 7th, 2008 5:26 pm ET

This looks familiar. Didn't she use her "I'm still a human" image in the media on SNL and the Daily Show right before the Ohio and Texas primaries to win. I wonder if Ellen and Jay Leno can help her this time :)

george   April 7th, 2008 5:26 pm ET

Mike NY   April 7th, 2008 5:27 pm ET

Why is she always trying to chase the joke lately? I think it may have worked once in the last 4 months but this is getting a little old. Her sense of humor comes off as a phony attempt to win over people.

Marylynette Ferguson   April 7th, 2008 5:28 pm ET

Just another exaggeration. I can't trust that woman in the White House. How will we know truth from exaggeration?

Reality check #1   April 7th, 2008 5:28 pm ET

Hillary was great on Ellen today! The woman not only knows politics but she has a great sense of humor. She was so funny and was great on Jay Leno as well. Unlike Obama, Hillary can talk the talk without a written script. This is one tough woman, I admire her so much for continuing on with her campaign. I doubt Obama could have held up to all that Hillary has held up to. We would have found him in a corner crying.

Hillary told a lie to the OHIO voters
Hillary can't hide the truth this time, because PA is watching

Andre   April 7th, 2008 5:31 pm ET

A bowling bag, and bowling shoes, but you haven't bowled since the White house? In almost 10 years now an avid bowler doesn't bowl. Does this woman even know what the truth is? I wish she would stop lying so much. I like how her supporters say that it is not important that she lies, but how she can legislate. Do you they really know if she can legislate or are they listening to her tell them she can legislate?

CHICANO ART, ARIZONA   April 7th, 2008 5:32 pm ET

That is not really bowing. I think the headline is bias. I also believe that the media's bias is forcing a lot of Americans to gather their understanding of current events in alternative forms of education. I myself have begun hitting the history books in an effort to find out what is best for this country on my own. The media, especially CNN kiss Obama butt constantly because they are afraid of Rodney King like riots if Obama is not elected.

Sharon   April 7th, 2008 5:32 pm ET

Hillary is Pathetic !!

Laughing on late night TV about sniper fire when we have men and women under Real sniper fire that she voted for in Iraq.

Barrista   April 7th, 2008 5:35 pm ET

Why isn't CNN looking at the continued relationship between Mark Penn and the HRC campaign? Why no 24-hour coverage of that? What about her lies? If it had been Barack Obama, we'd have sensationalism at its best courtesy of CNN. Give me a break!

Another misrepresentation by Hillary about her ability as compared to that of her opponent. She doesn't miss an opportunity to lie.

No, just another lie or a bad joke.
GO HOME< HILLARY, you are making jokes that are not funny!
Running for President is:
~Not a Joke
~No place for a liar
~No place for someone who puts too much thought into "getting ready" to be presentable to ANYONE.
~No place for a cheater who changes her opinion of 'the DNC rules to follow' according to where she is in the race.
~No place for someone who tells everyone you may NOT play the gender card, yet plays it herself if she thinks it will score a vote.
~No place for a mother who has dragged her adult daughter in front of the country to campaign with her mouth taped shut, unable to talk to the press or unwilling to answer questions she doesn't like.

We in PA will support HILLARY all the way to the convention!

Oscar, Rio Vista, CA   April 7th, 2008 5:38 pm ET

PMC — Can you please give me some facts about your statement. Do you think she can win Michigan and Florida because she is begging everyone to count their votes. Do you really think the people in Florida and Michigan are so naive. They know very well that the only reason that she wants their votes to count is because she needs them. She is saying that their votes should count but the super-delegates should override the popular vote and that she can steal pledged delegates away even though they are based on YOUR votes. C'mom people… give me a sign that Americans are not really as dumb as they often act.

Do any of you really believe that Clinton wants to be president because she cares so much about you? Get a clue.

Winton   April 7th, 2008 5:38 pm ET

She's lucky Obama didn't take her up on her bowl-off challenge.
They should have done it for real. Now, that would be news.

Florida Michigan Pennsylvania   April 7th, 2008 5:38 pm ET

Obama will easily win Michigan if there is a re-vote, and all people who previously voted also had a chance to re-vote

Obama will win Ohio if there was a re-vote, because people in OH know about Clinton's lies now

Obama will win Florida if there was a re-vote and if he campaigned there.

Obama will win pennsyvania, he was behing 20+ points in Pennsyvania, now it's like 7+ behind, some polls even show they are equal, you have to appreciate the efforts and hardwork that got him there to close the gap, whereas if you are honest Sen.Clinton was leading in polls only because of the name "CLINTON".

Barbara   April 7th, 2008 5:39 pm ET

The funny thing is I'll bet she doesn't have her own ball or shoes. She's just lying again.

Curtis   April 7th, 2008 5:39 pm ET

thank god there isn't a war on bowling pins.

David, Silver Spring, MD   April 7th, 2008 5:39 pm ET

Funny how quickly HRC was willing to disenfranchise the voters of Pennsylvania. As soon as she thought she could beat Obama at bowling, she didn't care what the voters of Pennsylvania thought. Or the voters of Florida or Michigan.

Sure it was an April Fool's joke, but as we all know, there's always a kernel of truth inside of humor.

Rachel   April 7th, 2008 5:39 pm ET

Really, Clinton?
Trying to get some "positive" attention by doing what Obama did last week?

Phyllis   April 7th, 2008 5:40 pm ET

I don't like you Hillary…

Robert Portland, OR   April 7th, 2008 5:42 pm ET

When are you Obama supporters going to grow up? Why are you so filled with hate? Are you afraid that for once in your spoiled, trust fund lives that you aren't going to get what you want?

Obama will not win the General Election and your disregard for Florida and Michigan will be a major factor. It's not that Clinton supporters will vote for McCain. It's that there is a drive going to make their votes count and this drive is to write-in Clinton on their ballots in November.

And talk about lies, Obama is no golden-boy when it comes to telling the whole truth. And this process we are in now is a cake walk compared to what he face, if he faces, the GOP.

Jenny in DC   April 7th, 2008 5:42 pm ET

Hilary is the most qualified candidate to lead this country. She has my vote and my total support.

How about doing a story on the Obama camp continuing to disenfranchise MI and FL voters so that they can continue to prop up their "leading in popular vote" chant? Seems like that may be a bit more newsworthy than this attempt to somehow cast aspersions on Hillary because of her bowling performance on a daytime talk show!

Hill for Pres   April 7th, 2008 5:42 pm ET

For those of you bashing the clintons' salary, the 90 mil of the 109 mil was Bill's royalties from his book (30 mil) and his speeches (mostly DOMESTIC) from the past 8 years (51 mil). The rest was from Hillary's book and regular salaries.

How much do you think Al Gore makes per speech??

It takes not much for HILLARY TO INVENT STORIES if she remotely think to be able to score some points.

OBAMA confesses he is a terrible bad bowler, and she immediately tells that she is a better one has has an own bag (and challenge him
to a match). Only to show later that norhing of this is real !!

How long it will take that the DNC put a stop to this tragicomedy , which by the way takes money out of the pocket of her poor, fanaticized
supporters ??

John, Las Vegas, NV   April 7th, 2008 5:44 pm ET

While dueling is outlawed, my hunch is that based on their bowling prowess that even if Billary and Barack dueled they would miss each other, reload, and miss again. Those two are the most pathetic examples of the kind of true hero blue collar voters deserve. Go McCain.

Percy F. Lage, Oklahoma   April 7th, 2008 5:44 pm ET

The makeshift bowling lane was probably slanted. The hand she was using was a "right wing" conspiracy, and, more importantly, she didn't have her thumb in its appointed hole! Ellen was not a gracious hostess. It looks like HRC is no better at converting splits than Obama, but at least, she didn't blame her problems on a preacher. This time. Still, it is nice to know that Hillary really isn't comfortable in the gutter, "spares" nothing, and cannot justly be referred to as a "turkey," at least in bowling parlance.

Laidetea   April 7th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

That's too funny.

Sparky   April 7th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

You know, I would never base my vote on a candidate's bowling prowess. Having said that, Hillary really, really sucks at bowling. Ouch….so painful to watch.

I mean, maybe it helps with your image as a soft, warm, cuddly person to roll gutter balls with Ellen. Make yourself look like a simpleton by sucking at bowling.

However, I thought she had already made herself look like a simpleton with stories of Bosnia and pregnant women.

Hillary's campaign is the gift that keeps on giving. Gaffe after gaffe after gaffe.

An Agnostic Democrat   April 7th, 2008 5:46 pm ET

Stop trying to "humanize" yourself, Hil-lie-ary and start working on your honesty and integrity. It'll take you a lot longer to get out of the gutter since you've spent so much more time there than anyone in the history of politics.

Here she goes, folks. It's Hillary's humanizing "chick tour" but of course, gender has nothing to do with it. Now she's going to exploit breast cancer since her "mistatement" about the stillborn child and dead mother didn't work. How P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C and L-O-W … But then again, when has a new-all-time-low ever stopped her?

Oregon Independent   April 7th, 2008 5:47 pm ET

Best be careful who you wish for. Hiliary is bad but Obama is a disaster !
The Democratic candidates are big government liberals who will raise your taxes and spend us into oblivion. If you want government reaching more and more into your wallets and wasting your hard earned money, then vote for Hiliary or Obama. They would both be poison for our economy ! Get real folks, use your heads….

Give us a break   April 7th, 2008 5:47 pm ET

LAME!!!! Can we talk issues and plans and leave bowling to when you are not trying to become president? That does go to both of them.

I am still not sure which of the lesser of the 2 evils I will vote for this year. McCain or who ever the democrats finally settle on.

Even better, it is amazing to me that no body brings up the Lincoln savings and loan scandal with McCain! Realist, you and those around you are evidence as how pathetically forgetful and gullible the American public can be. Think for yourself for once and then you might have an arguement.

She has her own ball? shoes? and she still can't bowl? Yeah thats funny. Almost as funny as making a joke about sniper fire on Leno. My brother was shot by sniper fire, I think it was totally bad taste. The only thing worse than lying about sniper fire is, joking about it later. Hillary, I hope you do go to the convention. I hope you make good on your promise to stay in the race no matter what. That will tear the party apart. There is no way you can win. At best you will prevent Obama from winning the general and in the process ruin the rest of your political career. Thanks for another four more years of McBush.

challenging him to a "bowl-off"……………………."She told reporters later on her campaign plane she even has her own bowling ball, bag, and shoes from her days in the White House"

She made it sound like she was really a good bowler!

My feeling is that it was ELLEN''s idea and I bet you Hillary must have been scared silly…….and practiced a lot before the show started…….Hillary must have said to herself, "oh no, America is going to find out I LIED AGAIN!!!"

Can Hillary be truthful about anything?

Kathryn Chatters   April 7th, 2008 5:51 pm ET

I am a Obama supporter, however I think we should stop bashing Hillary . She should stay in the race as long as she wants, as long as she doesn't throw the kitchen sink or endorse McCain again. Hillary and Obama both should be attacking McCain, and no one attacks better than Hillary. So she needs to get started with her attacks on McCain and between the two of them they can take him down before the convention gets started.

cocoObama   April 7th, 2008 5:51 pm ET

She can't bowl either?? Is there anything she's good at?

Barney   April 7th, 2008 5:51 pm ET

Is it too much to ask that our next commander and chief be a decent bowler? I bet Bill can bowl a mean frame. And women at the bowling alley are just his type.

Sheesh…both of them stink. But to be fair, McCain probably couldn't even pick up a bowling ball at his age.

DAN BUFFALO NEW YORK   April 7th, 2008 5:52 pm ET

You Hillary haters are astounding. She can't do anything right in your eyes. The other thing that astounds me is how "holier than thou" you all seem to be. You chastise her for various "sins", "faults" " things that you have decided she has "lied" about. It must be great to be perfect. Perhaps you should run for president. We haven't had anyone perfect run yet, in my memory. Don't tell me it's different, that it's O.K. for you to lie and cheat, because you're not running for president. We are all held to a standard of truth and goodness, no matter what our position in life.

How come nobody talks about Obama being a cousin of the Bush's and Cheney?

Oh, so much for change…

Tex'un   April 7th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Her bowling score would have been better had she not been under sniper fire at the time.

Jason   April 7th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Geeze…

I can't believe what a nutcase Hillary's turned out to be. I was totally set to vote for her when the elections all started but after all her weird shennigans, lies, and vicious attacks I'm completely turned off. As much as I felt good about voting for a woman candidate, I'd rather wait for a woman with honor and integrity. If we elected Hillary that would probably be the first and last woman President.

The more I've seen about Obama the more he's truly impressed me. I feel very good about voting for him. And more than a little sorry for Hillary. I hope she gives in to good sense soon and supports Obama against McCain.

Jill in Chicago   April 7th, 2008 5:54 pm ET

Obama fans sound bitter.

Rise Hillary,

Rise

fred   April 7th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Go Hillary!!

If you read these statement above, it just proves how stupid the Obama supporters are!!!

And these people are suppose to be educated??? 3rd grade maybe!!!

Sante   April 7th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

WHY YOU OBAMIANS HATE HER. IF HE IS SO STRONG , SHE SHOULD NOT BE A TREAT?

OBAMA IS ON BIG BLA,.. BLAA.. BLAAA… AND TREAKY LIKE A FOX!

WHO DOES NOT LIKE HILLARY, DOES NOT LIKE HIMSELF!

GOO GIRL!!!

MANY PEAPLE ARE WITH YOU!

Marge Hibbing Mn   April 7th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

Hell I have a room full of bowling trophies and guess what…..I throw gutter balls every once in a while. At least she threw a gutter ball in bowling. Obama throws gutter balls in action every day….

I told you they should have a bowl off for the top of the ticket.

He bowls like a girl–and she is a girl–they are evenly matched.

Sadly, no matter who wins we still end up getting the gutter ball.

Wow, the distractions are coming fast and furious! I hardly even remember that Bill made $52 million in speech fees. And there was somthing about her lying about something? I can't recall!

More bowling! ha-ha, democracy is fun!

John, PA   April 7th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

LOL, I cant believe what makes the news these day…..CNN will report anything to take the focus of Mark Penn lbbbying a trade deal. The voters of Pa will not stand for the lies anymore. Although it is funny watching her hold the bowling ball like that because that is not how you bowl……

Joe   April 7th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

Will you never learn? Hillary does nothing without a purpose. She is trying to sucker Obama into a bowling for the nomination bet. Then she will find a way to cheat and win!

Filiz   April 7th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

We understand that media is owned but isnt a fundamental responsibility to present alternative points of view. Ron Paul couldnt get equal coverage, right now a former Senator Mike Gravel and a former Congressman are either running or contemplting running on the Libertarian Party ticket. Could you please offer your readers information on some very good candidates like Michael Jingozian who i think would make an amazing running mate for either barr or gravel

David   April 7th, 2008 5:58 pm ET

I wonder if she is even trying to win the nomination any more or if it is all just to pull in more democratic voters in the remaining states and to get her issues out there. She seems to be having more fun out there recently and has not been so serious as of late.

Donald, SC   April 7th, 2008 5:58 pm ET

Hillary Clinton has had some very serious and to-the-point issues about America come to light. Her problem is that she has NO intention on solving any of these problems. She talks a real good game. just as long as she gets that covetted position in the Whitehouse. But her campaign has proven to be the worst circus show of all time. Once she is there, well let's just say, "Let them eat CAKE."

IF, Portugal, Lisbon   April 7th, 2008 5:59 pm ET

For the last few days all the news CNN places here are Clinton's. Even down to her "rusty bowling skills"… Isn't Obama shaving, buying chocolates, anything??!!

Dennis, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania   April 7th, 2008 5:59 pm ET

I voted Democrat my entire life, but if Obama gets the nomination over Hillary, Im voting for McCain!

Herman LA, CA   April 7th, 2008 5:59 pm ET

You know everything Barack team is doing the Clintons are copying it and I am tired of it.

sasha kando   April 7th, 2008 6:00 pm ET

It's not just the mantra to "win at any cost!" Now she would do anything to distract all the attention AWAY from Penn, NAFTA, 109 million $$, Bosnia, uninsured patient who died in OH, and etc…..So, if you ask her to dress as a clown and do handstands down the street, she'd do it, so that no one can focus on any of the above. Sneaky lady!

David   April 7th, 2008 6:02 pm ET

The only disgrace to this country are the people ragging on Hillary on this site. You all sicken me. I have had it with all of you. You are all just pushing the Clinton supporters to go to McCain. Obama probably has the nomination so whats your problem?

Please go away, Hillary. I can't stand much more of your misrepresentations and downright lies. But I'd love to hear your response to this: what other clients did Mark Penn have that you are courting under the table (i.e., Blackwater, etc.)? What about the Dubai deal? And why won't you release information on donors to the Clinton Library/Clinton charity? What are you hiding?

Tex   April 7th, 2008 6:03 pm ET

Hillary, this is so pathetic!

Charles   April 7th, 2008 6:03 pm ET

Ok, while I'm very big on criticizing Hillary's mistake, no matter how small and seemingly unimportant they may be, this is a bit much. That's really not news at all. I'm hoping this was put up not in response to the Obama gutter ball but more as comic relief in the face of a less than comical campaign she has run. If so, that's the only funning thing she's done or said so far.

Sherry   April 7th, 2008 6:04 pm ET

I agree Sharon — lying about being under sniper fire is no laughing matter! Remember, 4,000+ dead — FOR WHAT??!!

Dave   April 7th, 2008 6:04 pm ET

Okay..I guess Ellen is not a controversial individual??? Hillary said she would not go to Wright's church but she hangs out with Ellen. Geesh…Hillary represents the nutty side of the dem party.

Chris   April 7th, 2008 6:05 pm ET

Democrats will eat their own children if it means that the candidate they want to win the nomination ends up getting it. Sad.

applecrispbetty   April 7th, 2008 6:05 pm ET

There appear to be no holes in the ball. Or maybe she doesn't know you are supposed to use the holes.

OlvrWhit   April 7th, 2008 6:07 pm ET

Sharon, its not Hillary that is pathetic, its people like you who fail to read past the headlines. As for those of you who continue to call Hillary a liar, do some research. There is truth to the Bosnia story, but its not a lie. As far as this medical crisis, the media is failing to report that the deputy sheriff who told this story to Clinton has came out today and verified that this story was true.

So its time for grown-ups to stop acting like children and calling people names without solid proof. If we want to nit-pick, how about Obama claiming his was concieved during the Selma marches, or today when he claims he has more Foreign Policy experiance than Clinton or McCain, or that he was a law professor. So lets not throw stones over stupid things, especially when those things are not true.

Hillary has not lied and anyone that believs she has, thats pathetic.

"The media, especially CNN kiss Obama butt constantly because they are afraid of Rodney King like riots if Obama is not elected."

Please do not play the "Race Card" and propagate hatred among ourselves. We are already a divided America. This country is becoming so polarized, and you can read them on these blogs.

We should stop calling BLACK or WHITE, we all are AMERICANS.
NO COUNTRY CALL THEIR CITIZENS BY THEIR COLOR.
They do not call black or White British, Argentinians, or Brazilians.

We have to focus on economy (Job outsourcing), Health Care (Uninsured) and education (Underfunding), rather than in-fighting along party, ethnic religious lines..

We already spend 15% GDP on Health care, and our mortality and morbidity statistics are scary ( 23rd in the world !!). Other Developed countries spend just 8-9% GDP on health care.
Education is is in much worse shape. Detroit recently closed down 17 schools !! Yeah, we think it is not our child, that’s their problem. !!

LaKay   April 7th, 2008 6:08 pm ET

I am sure she feels pretty stupid…she is trying to find something she can beat Obama at! The answer is right in front of her face…lying. It's the only thing she can beat him at!

She's embarrasing women all across this nation!

Kevin   April 7th, 2008 6:08 pm ET

You're supposed to be the most trusted name in news? This crap is sure denouncing that claim.

Brad   April 7th, 2008 6:08 pm ET

Hillary you just keep working the Campaign , let the dead beat Obama stick to his bowling. It's just as good if not better than his politics. Change yeah we need Change , mainly in the IL. Senate. Hopefully he can join is buddy Rezko, maybe he'll take his wife with him. Hillary don't follow this idiot like he always follow you. Alot of Democrats know 's he is not a leader. Why is it when you come out with your plan's for the country , he comes out with the same plan, ( no leader ) Democrats see that. Don't give up just play all the debates and watch his stupidity of just saying that I agree with Sen. Clinton. Need more than just a dream and talk of change. This country needs substance not just talk. You can feed that crap to your congregation along with your bigotry about race. This country needs a Clinton back in office to clean this mess up and hopefully Hillary will be that one. Go Hillary

Kathy   April 7th, 2008 6:08 pm ET

Most of you folks you comment on these blogs are PATHETIC!!!. You can choose to support whomever you want for whatever reason(s) you wish to, but the hatred tone and snide remarks are beneath the values of the democratic party and those of us who are proud to say we are Democrates. Please stop it, some of you act like children in the playground who shame and belittle others. It is this kind of behavior that allow the Republicans to win elections. The constant bickering is becoming a bit too much. The nasty tone and disheartening remarks against both candidates are belittling. Pick you candidate, for whatever persuades you to do so, and at least be respectful of another choice.

why is it that obama and hillary supporters are constantly demeaning each other in these blogs? it is up to every voter in the country to make his/her decision on who will best lead the country. who died and made these bloggers god?! everytime, without fail, when a story is posted about hillary or obama these people come out of their ivory towers to tell everyone else that their candidate is better and those that support the other candidate are some how lacking in the basic facilities needed to make an informed decision. we all know the game of politics (remember, we are the ones who let the game continue), so get over your "righteous" indignation and accpet the fact that here on planet earth people aren't perfect. also, please stop blaming the media when stories don't work in your candidates favor . god forbid our politicans actually accept responsibilty for the silly situations they get themselves into. I am voting for Obama but that doesn't mean that I have to hate Hillary or her supporters, you don't either. I hope that we can get past all of this politricks and grow up. Our nation needs us.

Hey, you saw it for yourself, Hillary has a great sense of humour and the more I see of her acting like a normal person the more I like her, I too have thrown a bowling ball or two in the gutter especially if someone is watching, but I have also bowled great too. Lets look at the real issues instead of the nit picking.

Oh leave her alone. Anyone else trying to bowl and duck sniper fire at the same time would have a hard time too.

Seriously though how is it that the Penn story is getting brushed aside? Especially considering all he did was get a new job title although he will basically be doing the same work.

"Despite the complaints, the Clinton camp did not completely cut ties with Penn. He will remain as an adviser on a daily basis and his firm will continue to conduct polling for the campaign."

For those of you in Pennsylvania how can you possibly believe she will try and change NAFTA to help you out when she won't even get rid of this guy?

Electing a President is serious business. The Democratic race is almost like American Idol or America's got talent. These Senators are out campaignig for 2 years and the country is falling apart. They need to go back to Washington and fix this mess the Democratic Congress has created over the last 2 years.

Lourdes   April 7th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

You are supposed to be unbiased and trustworthy. I'm beginning to think there needs to be a boycott of your site and network.

Hillary 08   April 7th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

Most of Obama's supporters are Male chauvinism, and the term is used to describe the belief that males are superior to females, and that is why they hate her so bad. She is strong enough to run this country, and they are not.

Hillary's life has been in the gutter since she met the low life Bill. The Clinton's just don't get it. Most Americans do not want their kind near a public office. Obama Supporter   April 7th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

Guys, I support Obama, but the fact that she didn't bowl well on a tv show doesn't make her "weak," "fat," or "a disgrace to this country." Those comments are totally inappropriate!! Everyone needs to chill out!!! (In the words of WJC).

If you want to draw distinctions on the issues, that is great, but slamming the other candidate about bowling? How have people gotten this crazy about the race? I guess it really is over - welcome to the dems recipe for disaster in November.

We will see.

To hell with "Rodney King like" riots, wait till you see the white people riot. That will make those look like child's play. The media are the one's who have created this chaos by being so biased against a woman in office. It scares the crap out of them.

Will her campaign attempt to spin this as a "mis-bowl"?

Peggy Greensboro NC   April 7th, 2008 6:26 pm ET

Oh for heaven's sake. None of these candidates, I don't care who, are much interested in bowling with any of us, they don't want to have a beer with us, and they probably find a lot of us a bit unnerving, Especially if they read the message boards online, and I sure can't blame them. I certainly hope that none of you are basing your vote on who of these are the more regular folks cause none of them are! Hope you're not disillusioned.

Diane   April 7th, 2008 6:26 pm ET

Hillary's unending display of lies and "mis-statements" are disgusting and proof of the same old same old with the Clintons.

Her total mismanagement of her own campaign should be enough to demonstrate she does not have the judgement to lead the country. Will she ever be asked to explain why Penn is still with her campaign??

She's proven before and will continue to prove she will do whatever it takes to get what she and Bill see as hers and hers alone-the presidency…. how pathetic many still fall for this type of political hair splitting!

GnosticMan   April 7th, 2008 6:27 pm ET

So now we have full circle knowledge that democratic candidates can't bowl to save their life. OK CNN…you got us…..they're human after all….lol!

Sue from Ga.   April 7th, 2008 6:27 pm ET

Didn't she challenge Obama to a bowl off for the nomination? You lose again Hillary - go home!

Ralph   April 7th, 2008 6:28 pm ET

Her April Fools joke made her seem like she could actually bowl, but that was a joke too. After the primaries, she will have lots of time to learn how to bowl.

Sounds like I found the Obama chat room!

AnnaMarie   April 7th, 2008 6:28 pm ET

The ball don't lie! Ha! Poor Hill, things just aren't going her way. She wagered and had time to practice to look good. Now for whatever this PR bit is worth…she flubbed.

Kill the negativity among the Dems. Dems in 2008!

Cute!

She doesn't really have bowling shoes, that is just a plain lie!

I think it's futile to ask the some of the people on these blogs to chill out…
maybe they're too young to know what chill out means??? maybe? or maybe they just read headlines all day and never bother to do research for themselves? maybe?
Some of you are just rude beyond belief…I don't care who you support, but come on….this is really bad.
Are these the type of people who are voting for Obama????

Chido Williams   April 7th, 2008 6:41 pm ET

She lies about evrything-why are some American people still voting for this BIG LIAR?

Skipper   April 7th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Obama was not at the State of the Black Union in New Orleans. Obama was not at the MLK Memorial in Memphis this past weekend. Is Obama taking the black vote for granted? Is Obama trying to distance himself from blacks in order to woo the white vote?

Hillary earned 109 million over 7 years and donated 40% to charity. Obama only donated 2% of his income to charity and most of that was to his racist church.

If that photo was taken at the time she bowled the 1-pin frame, then I don't believe she's ever owned a ball, shoes or a bag. She's not holding the ball correctly, anyone who has owned a ball would know better.

Mary-NY- You should not be voting for a person based on gender… that is just wrong.. Sharon was right with what she had to say AND she is entitled to her comments just like you and me..

But.. I saw just this weekend in Montana- women voting for Hillary based on gender alone (not the issues)… sure a woman can become president.. And America will be ready for a woman in the whitehouse.. but 1st … NOT THIS WOMAN.. and NOT THIS TIME..

there will be a time for a woman in the white house just not this woman and not this time.. (I feel these needs repeating)

America needs real change… Barack is real change—
