(CNN) - Hillary Clinton's presidential suggests in a new Pennsylvania radio ad that Barack Obama is being misleading by claiming he doesn't take money from oil companies.

"In his TV ads, Barack Obama sounds like he'll take on the oil companies…What he doesn’t tell you is that “no candidate does….they cant,” according to the Annenberg Center’s Factcheck.org," the ad's narrator states. "It's been against the law for companies to donate to candidates for a hundred years."

"Obama also doesn't mention that he voted for the Bush Cheney energy bill," the narrator adds. "It was called a piñata of perks and the best energy bill corporations could buy."

Isaac, Isaac, Isaac– I do not know about your "mental status;" but how can anyone with the brain of a bird ever believe what Hillary (or Bill) says publicly? "I never.. to that woman,...""

Dan (Kirkland, WA)   April 9th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

The word 'Lobbyist" has a negative connotation to it. The fact is, there are Lobbyists for every cause.
The difference becomes, what KIND of lobbyists are working on your campaign.
Of course Obama has lobbyists working on his campaign! What he is opposed to are the Oil, Insurance, Corporate, etc. lobbyists that get to buy their way into and out of everything.

The add is very misleading and it can be found on Fact check.org that in fact Obama does have support from oil company relatives and supporters........check it out.........it is false advertising

Hillary doen't know how to run a clean campaign.

All she can do is blame others and lie all the time.

How is she staying tough and strong when she blames others all the time?

I simply cannot trust Obama. He is weak on ideas, weak on solutions, and weak on facts.

Thank you Hillary for staying tough and strong.

Barack Obama criticizes Hillary Clinton every single day and no one seems to care. He calls her calculating, disingenuous, every name in the book on her personal character and yet she gets attacked any time she opens her mouth to criticize Obama, even when it's on political tactics or policy. How about we take note of the fact that what she is saying is TRUE and that Obama is completely misleading everyday people in those ads. Is that the Change we all want?

With all the money Obama gets from people he can afford to pay each and everyone of us to vote for him. Don't spend all the money on TV and radio ads stand out by the polling station and hand out money to voters who vote for you. This election is being brought by money, not by knowledge.

Thanks Frank – people need to realize that these votes are often multifaceted and one has to gleen out what is most important and prioritize. Clinton is very manipulative and changes the context of things with her editing. Kind of like a lie of ommission. Her ability to lie is multifaceted as well.

Obama supporters- with all that hate for Hillary, there is no way that Obama will get their support. Remember this race is very close by 1% difference. This is another Clinton attack to take the focus off of Mark Penn (still on her campaign staff) and Bill (made 800K) supporting the Columbia Free Trade Agreement. So INDIVIDUALS working for corporations have donated to Barack Obama because they want him to be President. So what? He has almost 1 1/2 million donors – everyday people from all walks of life. He does not take money from federal lobbyists or PACs. So what's the story? I hope the people in PA aren't ignorant enough to fall for her pathetic, predictable tactics.

pam   April 9th, 2008 4:24 pm ET

I find it fascinating how the Obama fans never want to actually pay any attention to many red flags with their candidate. If you truly want this change so much, why would you continue to ignore more of the same old types of politics? This is dead on correct information- just research it. This decision is too important not to. Do it for yourselves.

Tina   April 9th, 2008 4:24 pm ET

I appreciated the fact that Cnn.com/live showed the wonderful panel of military officers who strongly support Senator Clinton. It is a shame that too many people, especially some of the ones who attack her on line, have no clue about the wonderful work she has done for veterans. While Obama was writing a book to protect himself from the sleazy facts of his past, she was standing up for veterans and the military..not to fight a war,..but to protect those who do.

He isn't about change, he's about more of the same only with a fresh young face and youth spin. The young people support him because they haven't been around long enough to have seen it all before. They weren't even teen agers when Bush claimed he was the young, hip, change and when he got to Washington he would change the way things were done.Well he did change things, yuk. michael, ny   April 9th, 2008 4:19 pm ET

Listen, if you work for Exxon or Mobile and you donate to Obama campain, Hillary will call it taking money from Oil company. That is essentially what she's saying. She has an incredible courage to mislead people. The point of this ad is: she's responding to a TV AD with a Radio AD. Get a clue, she has the most poorly run campain I have ever seen in my life. Talk about ready on day, she's not even ready to run a successful campain.

On the side note, other news outlets are reporting on this, it is time for CNN to do the same: Clinton's cash crunch has led her to use a smaller plane: "As the Clinton press corps arrived onto the tarmac, there sat two planes: (Obama's) Boeing 757-200 series with 35 rows and 190 seats. Beside it, the Clinton plane, a Boeing 717 with 22 rows and 88 seats. Although there are not 190 people traveling with Obama, there are more reporters, more still photographers and video crews onboard his airplane."

Voter Formerly Known As Hillary Supporter   April 9th, 2008 4:18 pm ET

She lied about NAFTA, she lied about being shot at in Bosnia (on more than one occasion, so she didn't mispeak, OMG was she serious?!!!), she lied about Obama's Canada statements on Free Trade (do your research, it wasn't reported on CNN that the memo came from the Clinton camp, but it helped her in Ohio!!!) And now Mark Penn, how long before America sees through this woman? A better question how long before the media stops being scared of the Clinton Machine and call it for what it is... a faulty operation that is on its last leg...

Yeah, how does this woman sleep at night?? Hillary neglects to tell the whole truth once again. Obama voted for the Cheney bill because it had things in to help the people but she wouldn't understand that making a million dollars a year. And besides if you read the donations given to Bill Clinton for his library, there are plenty of oil companies listed as donors.

And with the dispute with her and Bill about trade, how is one to believe anything she says???? You know he will be a co-president. Wonder who will win that round????

Democrats United   April 9th, 2008 4:17 pm ET

Hillary must be following her poll numbers. Obama has had a widening margin over her in both the Gallup and Rasmussen daily tracking polls. Furthermore, she knows that the race in Pennsylvania may be tightening. She may only win by a single digit number, which could translate to victory for Obama and convince the Superdelegates that the white vote is still with him.

Regarding the Ad, Senator Clinton is right. It has been illegal for companies to donate directly to a political campaign. That has not stopped lobbyist money and PAC money from donating to campaigns of the past. This is what lobbyists do. They donate to campaigns (i.e. Senator Clinton) on behalf of certain organizations.
Now, Obama has taken in hundreds of thousands of dollars from people who work for or is married to people who work for Oil companies and healthcare Companies, but these were donations from thousands of individuals. Clinton has accepted money directly from heads of special interests groups and in greater numbers than Obama (though she fails to mention this in her ad).

The point is that going negative does work. Especially on less educated people, which make up Hillary's base support, particularly in Pennsylvania. I'm just glad that I was smart enough to do some research and shed some light with the rest of you on this issue

Its about time that she went after Obama's lies. He lies about "not taking oil money" to imply that she and McCain does.

His has been one of the dirtiest campaigns I have ever seen. Nothing but smeers of Clinton over and over again. He claims a "new kind of politics" by implying that she is old school politics. He claims she will do anything to win and when she hits back they say see she's doing it! And the media lets him get away with it.

So people here would rather vote for the man who supported the Bush/Cheney energy bill that created the economic problems we have today where the rich get richer, the oil companies making tons of money, and the everyday people have to pay increasing costs to heat their home, gas up their cars, and turn on the lights? I think millions and millions of lives were affected by that bill, which Obama VOTED for in the senate. Obama didn't VOTE AGAINST the war. He just made a speech and when he arrived in the senate, he said he doesn't know how he really would have voted.

Unlike Clinton, who angrily said she would continue to take money from lobbyists at a debate.

Roger   April 9th, 2008 4:13 pm ET

HIlliary you are sinking your own ship...The great folks of Pennsylvania will truly know what kind of dispicable woman that you are.. You can't win on your own merits so you attack obama who as so far runa positive campaign in Pennsylvania. Obama will have a response ad within 24 hours.

Joyce in Florida   April 9th, 2008 4:13 pm ET

We know that this is where most of his campaign money is coming from. I can't think where else it could be coming from at such a monumental and steady rate. I also don't believe that it is from people on the phone or internet giving $25 a pop. I read an article that said employees of these same oil companies are contributing. The Obama camp is constantly dishing out lies and garbage minute by minute. Time for them to go. HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nick - Arlington, VA   April 9th, 2008 4:13 pm ET

"HONEST, HARDWORKING AND DEPENDABLE CANDIDATE"

"If you really need Obama, go rent "Head of State" starring Chris Rock!"

Big Bill, Boise, Idaho -> not only are you wrong, but you are quite racist.

Obama supporters are so blind along to be so IGNORANTS, please go and live in another country where you belong and before that take your plugs from your ears.
HILLARY WILL BE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT!!!!!

linus   April 9th, 2008 4:12 pm ET

I'm not sure it's wise for her to quote Factcheck.org. I've viewed their analyses pretty regularly since the beginning of the campaign, and although they've found problems with both candidates, Clinton generally comes out looking much worse. They even analyzed one of her mailers about the energy bill. In it, she claimed that Obama "voted for Dick Cheney's energy bill that gives huge tax breaks to oil companies" when the bill "actually raised taxes on the oil industry overall."

Jeff   April 9th, 2008 4:12 pm ET

OMG! Hillary is lying again! SHOCKING!

This is getting so nauseating...PENNSYLVANIA, PLEASE STAND UP AND FINISH THIS THING! UNLESS HILLARY WINS BY AN INCREDIBLY HUGE MARGIN IN PENNSYLVANIA, ITS OVER!

UNION WORKERS, NOBODY HAS DONE MORE TO HARM YOU THAN BILL CLINTON AND NAFTA!

Erich Lichtblau   April 9th, 2008 4:12 pm ET

Big Bill from Boise – why is it that these days most Hillary supporters argue like FOX News and Rush Limbaugh? Is it just coincidence that you take the same approach, or is my fear that Hillary Clinton is a "conservative" in disguise materializing?

Obama 08 "enough said"

Chris   April 9th, 2008 4:09 pm ET

I wonder if the APWU realizes that their interests are just as "special" as anybody elses.

I'm an Obama backer and I'm glad he got this endorsement. But it is ironic how everyone else's causes are "special interests", while their own cause isn't.

I voted for Bill Clinton twice and at the beginning of the primaries, was confident in Hillary. Now I'm just highly disappointed in the money and power hungry Clinton family. Superdelegates, wake up!! Loyalty only goes so far. Remember you oaths to the people you represent!

virginia   April 9th, 2008 4:08 pm ET

Can't the American People see whats is taking place here! Obama is all talk and hasn't told the truth since he started campainging. How can some, even think of electing him. I just can't see him as my president, moreover, I can't see his wife as first lady. ugh! and another ugh! I am a minority so you can't say I am a biggot-but what they both claim in their out spoken words "that they are finally happy to be Americans" thats to much. I sure they both feel tsame way. He just wants fame and if he gets the nomonation, don't count on me to vote!

JFK   April 9th, 2008 4:08 pm ET

I laugh seeing the venomous, ugly, and downright humiliating comments from Obama supporters. Somehow calling Obama a uniter and see his supporters blogs here goes to show what a farce his campaign is! And it reinforces my choice in mature and MORE experienced politicians.

If your smart   April 9th, 2008 4:08 pm ET

You will pick somebody to lead us that is able to run this economy and get this country back on track. It's a bad time for somebody wholly untested in any meaningful leadership role to be trying out.

Sue from Ga.   April 9th, 2008 4:07 pm ET

I would like to see one intelligent conversation regarding the candidates. I do Notice that most of the Hillary supporters use all saps to SCREAM at us. Tone down the rehtoric and talke normally. You are sounding as SHRILL as she does.

Mike   April 9th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Kingsley, Senator Clinton will win Pennsylvania!

Drive through Pa, and notice the lawn signs, bumperstickers and window signs for Senator Clinton.

Go Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SayNoToHillaryBillaryCheslaryClintrous   April 9th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Don't blame her she is disperate. I just can not wait till the remaining state vote and get done with this woman and send her home.

gideon   April 9th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Hmmmmm ready on day one?... her campaign is a train wreck, bankrupt and fiscally incompetent . Even UCLA is sending a collection agency after them for money owed. If she wasn't Hillary Clinton she would be out of this race a long time ago.

Hispanics now for Obama   April 9th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

How can the media have positive coverage of someone who can't seem to be positive? The media is not making a fool of Hillary, she is doing that on her own.

Ron from VA   April 9th, 2008 4:06 pm ET

Obama is no different from any other politico. Its just that he has a slicker front end and no one really knows who is behind him or what he really is about.
Hillary & McCaine – like Obama – more politicos – the difference is we already have read their "book".
For President – Hillary or McCain
The devil you know is always better than the devil you don't.
AND their ALL devils!

Sallie Mae   April 9th, 2008 4:05 pm ET

Hillary... give it up!! & learn how to tell the truth... oh, & admit your mistakes.

OBAMA '08

Chinwe GA   April 9th, 2008 4:04 pm ET

Here comes another negative attack. She needs stop been negative .
She is a big liar. She does support free trade.
Hillary people are tied of your negative attack. I will never vote for you. You very wicked person.

Edgar   April 9th, 2008 4:04 pm ET

Ahh, but what she doesn't tell you is that she voted for that same bill.
Obama has collected $213,884 from employees of the oil and gas industry as of Feb. 29th, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. Clinton has collected $306,813 from the same sources.
Neither one can prevent private citizens who happen to work for oil companies from donating to their campaigns. Out of 140 million dollars in campaign contributes to each of the canidates 200-300 thousand is insignificant. What OBAMA promises is that he won't allow the OIL company voices to drown out the voices of his more than 2 million other contirbutors.

Huge shock   April 9th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

I have some sad news for all of you who think electing a different president is going to end this war. I was around in the 60's when the vietnam war was being protested. In the streets with blood. Nobody is protesting this one. They are not shooting you on your college campus because you are protesting this war. 50,000 American soldiers have not died in this conflict as they had in vietnam. The sad truth is, we are there and we are gonna be there for a long time to come.

KiloWhiskey - Denver   April 9th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

Doesn't her campaign team realize the detrimental effect of their negative campaigning? She needs to convince people on the ISSUES – HRC will never convince people that someone else is more morally contemptible than herself. Wrong tack to take.

Hispanics now for Obama   April 9th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

Why does she keep trying to go negative on Obama instead of listing her own positives? I'm starting to believe that maybe she doesn't have anything positive to say about her own character, so she then decides to "kitchen sink" Obama.

Is this all you have to offer Hillary?
I'm truly disappointed :(

CW4Barak   April 9th, 2008 4:03 pm ET

Look at the pot calling the kettle black. Clinton, you are the most lying, misleading, misspeaking candidate ever....go away!!

He also has lobbyists working on his campaign... claims he has nothing to do with special interest groups or the old style politics... let the truth out!!!

Emmanuel Davies   April 9th, 2008 4:02 pm ET

cheap propaganda, Hillary. you cannot be trusted. hope you had enough sleep this time.li...

Andrew in Long Beach, CA   April 9th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

How does this woman sleep at night... or look herself in the mirror – she just lies about EVERYTHING!!!

More Negative attacks from Hillary. That still doesn't change the fact that Hillary's campaign is run by Lobbyists and Special Interests. Why don't you actually talk about policy Hillary. Have negative attacks EVER worked for you thus far?

IAMWMD   April 9th, 2008 4:00 pm ET

I didnt know what desperation is until I saw hillary clinton. dont worry, we will put your campaing out of its misery in penn.

TN   April 9th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

Obama is saying that he doesn't take money from lobbyists and special interest groups – not oil companies. Look who is misleading the public. A high percentage of donations to the Obama campaign are $100 or less, whereas the Clinton campaign gets most of her funds from big donor, who are likely to be special interest groups, wealthy donors who are looking for favors in return. For example, why do you think Bill Clinton is backing the Columbia treaty – it is reported he is receiving $800,000 from investments in Columbia!!

A from VA   April 9th, 2008 3:58 pm ET

So much for the Clinton camp trying to stay positive. Dean should have a field day with this.... you will do anything to win Clinton... misconstrue the truth and throw the kitchen sink.

mama4obama   April 9th, 2008 3:57 pm ET

Obama is such a politician, he takes money from everybody and EVERYONE! No need to lie BO we know! You can not hide your ugly truths. We see wright through you!

Alexandra   April 9th, 2008 3:55 pm ET

I feel sorry for you Hillary.
As long as you keep going negative, Obama will keep on winning.

Frank, Missouri   April 9th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

The energy bill argument does not hold water – this was for the biggest part about green energy. The oil companies actually had a small tax increase out of that deal.

Clinton should worry about her NAFTA-Gate and Colombia-Gate ... as well as her Hospital-Gate and Bosnia-Gate.

Running around pointing fingers at windmills really does not repair that damage.

peace   April 9th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

I'd rather have someone who voted for a Bush energy bill than someone who voted for a Bush/Cheney war that has cost us over 4,000 brave American lives.

Nobody trusts Hillary Clinton anyway. She's a proven shameless liar.

unions are not stupid   April 9th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

Lies Lies Lies wait till next month when they rate her negatives i am sure this time she will be 10 points worse so sad to see her stoop to this level
