(CNN) - A presidential ticket including both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would surprise many political watchers, but none more so than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The California Democrat has repeatedly called such a ticket "impossible," and in an interview with mtvU student journalists Tuesday, she said flatly, "I don't see it."
"In this case, I don't see that as politically expedient," Pelosi said. "New York, Illinois…either one I believe are going to be strong Democratic states. I think it is up to the nominee to choose his or her vice presidential candidate."
Pelosi also seemed to suggest the two current Democratic presidential contenders wouldn't feel comfortable together on the same ticket.
"The person that is good is the person the presidential candidate feels comfortable with," she said, adding later, "I've just been involved in politics for a very long time and I just don't think that would be the ticket."

We should reshuffle the deck–neither one of these cards should be on the ticket!
When will Pelosi be quiet? Let this campaign and the primary season go forward. No one knows who will be on the ticket. If CLinton is a close second, Obama would be foolish not to offer it to Clinton and vice versa. But the Democrats are always stupid and manage to alienate a large number of its membership. Democrats need to be united against ttheRepublicans because if you thought the primnary camapaign is nasty..just wait for the general election. I hope the Democrats do not blow their chance to regain the White House.
I agree with Pelosi. Who wants a liar as Vice President? Hillary can't seem to tell the truth to save her life or run a decent upright campaign. Please, Obama can do bad by himself. He definitely don’t need the Clintons to corrupt his Presidency.
No kiddin' Nancy. Boy, you're a sharp one.
Ms Pelosi, Please shut up and go do some actual work for the people of the United States.
I know you'd really love to be a guiding force in the election cycle, but it doesn't seem to be going your way. You're getting cute in that Bill Richardson kind of way that makes me so sick to my stomach.
Nanc – Offical Old Broad for Hillary.
guess she thinks she'll be the one. Guess again lady, enjoy your ride, you may not get re-elected after all your fiascos. interfering in the nomination process. Being partial. Not starting the process for impeachment of Bush. etc. Not getting anything accompolished for the democrats after all this time.
We have nobody to blame but Hillary Clinton with her negative campaign. With her attitude, it's a shame to be a democrat these days. She's helping the republican party by destroying the democratic party.
Pelosi needs to stop sticking her face in the spotlight and do her job.
Who cares what she says.
OH NO!!! Here come the Clinton bots with their " Obama should be VP even though Hillary is going down the drain in a hail of self destruction" chants.
Remember people Obama is EDUCATED and no FOOL just like his supporters so dream on!
Please Hillary !!! Go Away!!!!
With Billary in the middle of a joint ticket, the VP would be delegated to the janitor in the white house, which incidentally, is where Hillary ought to be.
Obama should not coinsider a VP that has credibility issues.
no it will not happen how can it Hillary Clinton stands against all that Obama is for. he is trying to bring people together and she has no intention of doing that only spreading more lies to divide this country even further apart so sad that she still thinks she has a shot much less that there are people out there whom would like to have a untrustworthy person who has been shown to lie when the truth would do her much better.
Go Obama 08
AND WHILE MANY DEMOCRATS AND EVEN PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE PARTY ARE NOW TALKING ABOUT A CLINTON-OBAMA OR
OBAMA-CLINTON TICKET WHICH IS POSSIBLY THE STRONGEST PAIR THE DEMOCRATS COULD HAVE FOR THE GENERAL ELECTION, A PELOSI TRIES TO DIVIDE THE PARTY WITH HER
NONSENSE STATEMENTS. IT IS NO WONDER AMERICANS ARE DISIPLEASED WITH CONGRESS. THE DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY
HAS NOT HAD MUCH SUCCESS UNDER A NON-LEADER PELOSI
WHO IS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE!!!!!THINK ABOUT IT. WHAT HAS PELOSI LEAD THE DEMOCRATIC MAJORITY IN CONGRESS?
Thank god, I wouldn't want Sen, Clinton on any ticket... She misspeaks as a rule and not an exception
Pelosi wants to save the VP spot for herself.
Fred, you most be on a fantasy land. Your land has lost the game
I'm so happy she feels that way. So do I.
No way Obama in either position.
Hillary or McCain
Good Obama dosen't need the Clinton drama and Lies.
I find it ironic that the Clinton camp needs to bring up Wright after ahorrible week for them. What are they trying to distract the voters? They find themselves in a hole and out comes the trash.
The more I hear from the Clintons I do not want them in the White House.
PA: Vote against Clinton, Please.
CLINTON/EDWARDS...now that's MY idea of a dream team!
This woman doesn't know squat. Do your job Nancy and impeach the Bush admin., all of them!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to hope for this....but, like Ms. Pelosi, I do not see it happening at this point.
Pelosi: pick me, pick me
I didnt realize she was the voice of ALL Americans?? When did that election happen????
She is horrible at her job............
There is no way that Obama would pick her as veep. Not after she said he wasn't ready to be president, and especially not because she represents the definition of the old-style do-anything-to-win politics that he is attempting to move beyond.
The closest she will get to the White House is her Senate seat.
yes... yessss... please find something else to complain about.
