Pelosi again says joint ticket won't happen

Pelosi doesn't see a joint ticket with Clinton and Obama.
Pelosi doesn't see a joint ticket with Clinton and Obama.

(CNN) - A presidential ticket including both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would surprise many political watchers, but none more so than House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The California Democrat has repeatedly called such a ticket "impossible," and in an interview with mtvU student journalists Tuesday, she said flatly, "I don't see it."

"In this case, I don't see that as politically expedient," Pelosi said. "New York, Illinois…either one I believe are going to be strong Democratic states. I think it is up to the nominee to choose his or her vice presidential candidate."

Pelosi also seemed to suggest the two current Democratic presidential contenders wouldn't feel comfortable together on the same ticket.

"The person that is good is the person the presidential candidate feels comfortable with," she said, adding later, "I've just been involved in politics for a very long time and I just don't think that would be the ticket."

That would be a combination and comfort level that only the two candidates would know themselves. Nancy Pelosi should stay out of it. I sometimes get the feeling she is anti-Hillary. Maybe she is jealous of Hillary. She has not been successful at her new post, while Hillary has done extremely well even among the other dem male candidates.

Hillary is the most qualified. Not just words........but substance.
Now the Obamas are spending a lot of peoples' hard earned cash trying to BUY Pa voters.

GO WITH YOUR ORIGINAL GUT FEELINGS.......GO HILLARY!

I have a faith in Hillary. I am certain she will be the Democratic nominee and bit McCain in November. I just cannot see this ticket happens. After Obama's pastor comments and Obama's wife comments I became to this conclusion: Obama himself is a TERRORRIST.

Given Hillary's disparagement of Obama and his readiness, it would be hard for him to accept her on the ticket. Besides, that would also bring Bill back into the whitehouse, along with the possibility of more scandal. It would also be difficult for Obama to watch his back against both of them. He also needs to pick somebody who will be able to run in 8 years, Hillary will be 69 and will face the same issues as McCain re age, plus all her other negatives. Had Hillary not resorted to "dirty" politics, and only stuck to differences on the issues, she might not have taken herself out of the picture entirely.

Pelosi is right. Hillary shouldn't be forced on Obama and vice versa. What's wrong with people who simply refuse to accept the rules of engagement. Hasn't anyone ever watched big brother and see what happens when people who are not alike share the same space. Hillary and Bill may be able to live in the same house, so don't try to force the same on Obama.

Bad news for Fred and his fellow Clintonistas. Apparantly they still can't do math.

Everyone knows it's over except the Clintonistas. It's the blind leading the blind with Camp clinton.

What does Pelosi get out of having herself televised and continually repeating that the candidates won't be on the same ticket??? What message is she trying to send.....and to whom??

She does nothing but divide this party more than it already is.

The reason Hillary can't settle on a hometown is because nobody wants her. I think she's from PLUTO, which stands for Please Leave Us To Ourselves.

Nobody likes Hillary except the desperate, people who need a phony savior.

She's not a fighter, she's a failure because she puts herself above the American people.

Pelosi needs to just stay out of this. How many times do we need to hear her say this? She needs to start doing her own job and stop trying to divide the party.

If a joint ticket happens, that would be great for the party.

I think she only says these things because she has her own ambitions in mind.

Pelosi is right. By the time Obama completes his second term, Hillary will be 69 years old. Obama should choose a much younger vice president.

Fred, why don't you step aside and leave the commenting to true Democrats who realize both candidates are strong.

I wish it would have happened, and in a way I still do... but to much water under the bridge now. Both would have meant absolute defeat for McSame in the fall.

    Yes we can!

Is this Pelosi going for media exposure? if she isn't helping the situation, she shouldn't be going for cheap headlines.

Why does she have to repeat herself over and over again? Which reporters are wasting her and our time? Let's get her opinion on something new... that's why it's called "News'!

Thank goodness someone out there is ready to talk sense. This is just more of the Clinton campaign grasping at straws trying to push this idea to try to get votes from people who want "2 for 1". Is it a surprise to anyone that someone close to the Clintons started up a website suggesting it? Thank you Nancy Pelosi for being willing to stand up and put an end to this nonsense!

Hillary doesn't have time to be on anyone's ticket since she's got Free Trade under the table agreements that she has Bill covering for and Mark Penn insituting on her behalf.
