(CNN) - Sen. Hillary Clinton's lead over Sen. Barack Obama in the crucial primary state of Pennsylvania has dwindled to 4 points, a CNN average of recent polls calculated Thursday shows.
The New York senator now holds a 4 point advantage over her rival for the Democratic presidential nomination, 46 to 42 percent. Twelve percent of likely Democratic voters there remain unsure.
Recent CNN "poll of polls" suggest the race in Pennsylvania is tightening before the state's April 22 primary. A poll of polls calculated two days ago showed Clinton with a 6 point lead in Pennsylvania, and a poll of polls last Friday showed her on top by 11 points.
“Obama is outspending Clinton by better than two to one on television ads in Pennsylvania,” said Alan Silverleib, CNN’s senior political researcher. “Combine that with Clinton’s recent misstatement over her 1996 trip to Bosnia and the escalating chorus of voices calling on her to withdraw from the race, and you get a much tighter contest.”
Thursday's poll of polls included recent surveys from Time Magazine, American Research Group, and Quinnipiac University.

Someone explain to me why a candiate who supposedly is the front runner have to spend twice as much money as his opponent in order to be be elected...........
and how does someone from obsecurity raise to be such a media star over night?
Questions, no one has ansered yet
It would appear the CNN spin machine is hard at work...what a joke a CNN poll.....just practice saying Madame President...CNN is so bias against Hillary!
Go OBAMA!! GO!!
We are just getting warmed-up Hillary.. Remember the feeling??
OBAMA 08
Wow, it is amazing what money, a nice smile, and fancy rhetoric can do.
From what I have heard, it seems like Obama is positioned to win in North Carolina and Oregon, while Clinton's best chance is in Pennsylvania... I don't at all trust these poll numbers, but say Obama wins in Penn in addition to the others, do you think Hillary will drop out?
Good, time for this race to end!
Wow...we still have a couple of weeks to go...Obama has a lot of time on his hands and if he wins PA. GAME OVER! Clinton should say hello to my little friend.
haha, i know eh
Twelve days to go, then we'll see what the polls say.
Alexander:
Keep up the good work in updating daily polls. Hard work, honestry and positive approach to solve complex solutions of our country..Also helps to be a good president at all times.
OBAMA 2008...!!!
This is why you can't trust polls a month in advance of the primary.
This is the greatest country in the world because we Americans know the best for this country and Obama is that person.
Times' a changing!
Obama 08!!!
MONEY can buy just about anything...........
I'm not too optimistic on the polls, because its happened before where the polls showed Obama ahead and he lost. But prayerfully America is waking up to who Hil-Liar really is.
If these numbers hold up come voting time, this could be the end for Hillary.
Come on Hillary you can do it.....The ECONOMY needs YOU!!!
YES!!!! WE CAN!!!!!!!!!
Pennsylvania is going to flip the script on Clinton
OBAMA '08!!!!
Obama appears more Presidential right now. The show is over. However, Hillary should remain the the race and continue raising money. she needs it.
CNN please post this!
This is just for information on Mrs. Clinton and her stand on China and the human rights issue. It was Bill Clinton that removed this from the free trade agreement with China during his term as President. I also find it interesting that Hillary has never taken any responsibility for her vote for the war in Iraq but now states she is the only candidate that will bring our troops home. Voting her in would be the second biggest mistake – Bush being the first- that we as voters would be making.
If Obama wins the nomination, the nation is the loser for it.
Obama is a slick politician and a spinner of words. Who divides people as he gloats about being a unifier.
Obama resorts to old style politics- including out-of-control spending on his campaign- while claiming to be a new type of politician.
Clinton is a doer. She is plain and simple. No drama, speeches and no 1930s style inspiration of disilusioned young people, like we had in Germany and Italy.
Be careful of politicians with cult followings.
good, come on Pennsylvania, you know you are smarter than ohio. so show us all
The more you know Barack Obama The more you belive and like him trust him he is the only one who can bring us together ,unite us,
and fight against special intrust !!!!! of ...........
Obama God bless you
long live USA!
