New Clinton ad: Obama is 'out of touch'

CNN

Watch Sen. Clinton's new ad, "Pennsylvania."

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton’s campaign released a tough new ad Monday that features the reactions of some of her Pennsylvania supporters who say they were “insulted” by Barack Obama’s controversial recent comments about some small-town Americans.

The 30-second spot – which echoes several days of similar criticism from Clinton and her campaign - features a diverse group of voters reacting to Obama’s comments a week ago that some of the state’s residents were “bitter” and turning to guns and religion because of economic pressures.

Full script follows:

Woman 1: I was very insulted by Barack Obama.

Man 1: It just shows how out of touch Barack Obama is.

Woman 2: I'm not clinging to my faith out of frustration and bitterness. I find that my faith is very uplifting.

Man 2: The good people of Pennsylvania deserve a lot better than what Barack Obama said.

Woman 1: Hillary does understand the citizens of Pennsylvania better.

Woman 3: Hillary Clinton has been fighting for people like us her whole life.

Great commercial, though I'm sure some Obama supporter will rip it apart. Her commercial speaks the truth. Don't people think there's a reason he made these comments during a CLOSED fundraiser meeting, amongst the company of millionares/billionares??? It's not like he made these comments during a stump speech in PA. No. He said it during a meeting when he thought no one was listening. What's wrong with this picture??? I hope McCain and Clinton take him to the cleaners on this one. As if the Wright issue wasn't bad enough.....

Wake up democrats. This man will NOT become the next president. And I seriously doubt he will even get the nomination, especially now.

Hillary will stop at nothing to win the white House. After 4 years of Bush and 8 years of Clinton and another 8 years of Bush the American people would be crazy to let the Clinton's go back into the White House. Time for a Change.

Hillary please let it go and save some self respect for yourself.

So let me get this straight. Obama is just supposed to sit there and take everything the Billary is saying? Really? Everyone is say how hegative this race is well let me tell you something Clinton people. This race would not be negative if Hillary would stop attacking. Its the only way she has a chance. Lets go back to Ohio. Shame on you Barak Obama? What is she in the 2nd grade? Obama has tried to let it go but Hillary is relentless. Do voters really need her telling them what Obama meant? The reason she not gained more super delegates since super Tuesday is the party leaders know exactly what she is doing. She may have many "older white woman fooled" but not her own party. Which by the she had almost the entire democratic party wrapped up 15 months ago. Everyone was not against her. Its when she realized she was about to lose that she became Hillaryzilla.

I wish Clinton had something to talk about besides her opponent...
The appeal she deserves for simply being female wore off a long time ago...

Hillary is going to ride this "Bitter" comment as far as she can, and I think it's going to backfire. It seems to me that many of the people from PA agree with Obama and are not insulted by what he said, and appreciate a candidate for once stating the frustration from this very region. Obama is definitely in touch with the people.

Also I think Hillary is starting to piss off Obama and the rest of the undecided voters with all this political crap and spin. Hillary your ship is sinking. Someone should of told her to stick to the issues instead of the pollitics.

    OBAMA '08
Please, PA put an end to Hillary!!!!

Any Hillbot who is still clinging to the idea that Hellary is a viable candidate is braindead. Free yourselves and cling to a positive candidate. Al Gore and Jimmy Carter want her gone anyway!

BO is an absolute joke....I've felt he had these "hidden" feelings about other people since he looked down on Hillary MONTHS ago and said "you're likable enough, Hillary." AND "I'm pretty sure I can get her votes, I'm not so sure she can get mine" He is soooooo bad.....

Hilton Clinton has been "out of touch" with the people of this Country for so long now, she wouldn't know what being in touch means.
The people heard Barack last night (and the previous nights) tell the TRUTH.
Finally today he is not just defending himself- he's on the OFFENSE and that's good to see. Undoubtedly Hillary's supports will start there "So much for new politics" and "this is Change?" routines-but after he has been constantly attacked- you have to say enough.
Obama says enough to Clinton- and we say Enough to her and her supporters who just don't get it.

Now Obama called Hillary Annie Oakley. As the song from the musical goes, "Folks are dumb where I come from, they ain't had any learning. Still they're happy as can be, doing what comes naturally." Once again, Obama reveals how he "really" feels in his adult life about those who differ with him. Very telling. Elitist. The other song goes "Anything you can do, I can do better." Please don't let race this become Frank Butler and Annie Oakley. The thought of sexual tension between the two candidates is just too much to stomach.

I get depressed when I see this kind of thing. The amount of times Hillary Clinton blatantly has attacked Obama is appalling. This is not at all a fair issue either. She says she misspoke about Bosnia, but attacks him when what he was trying to say ultimately made some sense.

Shamelessly manipulative and transparently insincere move by Clinton. Typical, sadly, of the recent Hilary campaign. Obama's an elitist?!? Would be funny, if it wasn't so desperate. Hilary's stature is shrinking by the moment, in my estimation. It's painful to watch.

hahaha... people take a break, she is only practicing with Obama on how to attack McCain.

She just showed another example of how well she could lie.

People she has been talking about Magnequench magnetic company shipped to China from Indiana. i guess it will be interesting to know the deal took place in 1995, and who was the president then??? Ringing a Bell...

    Mike

you are a liar. I am also in Pennsylvania this morning and there are Obama lawn signs everywhere. Just a rough estimate but I'd say about two to one for Obama. And the bumper stickers in downtown Philadelphia this morning as overwhelming for Obama.

can't guys like you keep the distortions and lies within reason?

Bill Clinton said today in Indiana that everywhere he goes there are "I am not bitter" signs. ABC news which covered all of his campaign stops stated that there was not one (as in not one) sign that said that.
so Mike, you are in good company with Bill Clinton, the world's best liar and recognized liar
back off a little and try to tell the truth. It would serve your candidate better.

Hillary is getting way beyond desperate for votes. It is obvious she just wants to be Pres & just looks to me like she keeps making an A– –out of herself. I just wonder how she will react when she finally has lost the election & reality sets in. Finally we can move on with Change We Can Believe In.

Let the people of PA speak for themselves about Obama's "bitter" remarks....and about how they "cling" to religion, guns, bigotry and anti-immigrant sentiment because of their "bitterness."

Listen to the people of PA. They're the ones he was talking about.

Obama says he "misspoke." Yeah. Sure.

As you said, Obama.....words DO matter!

    Hillary or McCain – 2008
