Clinton campaign defends Montana press release

(CNN) - Barack Obama's campaign circulated a report Tuesday that accused the Clinton campaign of misleading reporters about the motivation of a new Clinton backer.

The headline on the Clinton campaign's Monday press release - "Yellowstone County Commissioner Bill Kennedy Backs Hillary Clinton for President: Prominent Montana leader cites Obama's out-of-touch comments about rural America" - seemed to imply that the official had made the switch because of Obama's recent remarks.

But lower down in the press release, the official says Obama's comments had only "solidified his support" for Clinton, not sparked his decision. A news story circulated by the Clinton campaign a short time later used much of the same language contained in the original press release, and led some to conclude that Kennedy's endorsement had been sparked by the controversy over Obama's 'bitter' remark.

Asked Monday afternoon, shortly after the second release was sent, whether the potential discrepancy raised by the headline could be misleading, a Clinton spokesman told CNN that the original memo was accurate - in sending the second e-mail, he said, the campaign was merely "passing along" relevant published information.

Hillary didn't do anything wrong, but of course the Obama fanatics will lose their minds once again over something like this. It's funny, but whenever Hillary does something that even remotely seems out of line they become hateful, enraged, and make all kinds of nasty remarks. When Obama does something that is clearly out of line, they make excuses, rationalize his behavior/comments, complain about how he is misunderstood, and accuse people of being racists. Go figure.

This "stuff" has gotten way out of hand , and the media is sick to keep it going. Why do you post all these inane negative scripts? Hillary need to drop out, because the only way she can win is if Obama roll over and play dead, then she will still lose to McCain..The country do not like Hillary. She's such a snake and hypocrit. The people of Pennslyvania, had better read the Wal-Mart article, she was a board member and very much against unions.

I'm tired of this word Unite being tossed around. When you get right down to it what do you think it means? Won't happen.
People have no power any way. Just the power to vote some one in and thats the end of it.

    Dear friends,

It is sad how many people have been brainwashed by mere speeches. Obama is not God, didn't you notice that he was at Rezco's party, then he lied twice about the ammount of money that he received from him.
Later on, his pastor accussed America of Terrorism. Have you forgotten those who perished on 9/11?; and the worst part is that this man inspired the tittle of Obama's book… certainly, obama gave a speech, yet, he never apologized for the hatred filled comments made by his mentor for 20 years.
Obama and his lawyers disenfranchised FLA and Michigan with the DNC witnessing everything.
Now he has attacked Core American Values.. gun ownership and faith.. If some of you do not believe in God, millions of Americans do out of conviction and not out of frustration like Obama stated.
God will bless America by delivering us from an extremist-snob who plays to be the savior. He is just words.

President of The United States of America, 'cause actions matter more than "Just words,.."
The best candidate and our hope to fix the problems (economy-healthcare, jobs) and build a better future for us all

Her campaign is pathetic. They can't seem to get anything done correctly. They're always goofing up. This does not bode well for her running our country. We cannot allow her to steal the candidacy from Barack if he fairly wins it. We cannot allow her to divide the Democratic party and we need to urge all Supers to get off their butts sooner rather than later to ensure we can finally win in November. If we allow this in-fighting to continue much longer, neither candidate will be worth anything because they will have effectively destroyed each other and the party along with them.

Edna You hit the nail on the head. She is anti union but says she is not. Does that not ring a bell she is a Republican at heart.
She has the ability to change sides to meet her goal of becoming a president.
If I remember it correctly there was some Items missing in the Whitehouse when the Clintons left. They had to return those items. Does that make them borrowers of public property with out asking or is that a misdemeanor. Then agin Bill and Hillary are Lawyers way with words is their game.

Hey Kor you need to stop being bitter because your candidate is losing from her own faults. One of them being blaming others when things go wrong and not standing up. The speech was a major factor in his choice to choose Obama over Sen Clinton apparently your out of touch with politics or your one of the many Hillary supporters that does not read the whole story just the headline!

Obama supporters time to stop all of this and start welcoming these people into the fold either way you look she is going down and we will need everyone we can to insure that Mc Cain is not able to further abandon the American people and fill his pockets with millions. At the same time sending troops to Iraq or else were till we are as broke as Russia was when they finally woke up and stopped trying to force there way of life on others.

    Go Obama 08

Do Hillary supporters follow the news? Governor Richardson said he decided to support Obama because Hillary's campaign has become so negative he could not take it anymore.

Several months ago, I was an Hillary's supporter. But when she starting going negative and praising McCain, I too decided she was not worth my support. As a true democrat, that's a matter of principle.

n the Post, one writer who was there said " in context, Senator Obama's response sounded like empathetic conclusions and opinions of a keen observer" He goes on to say "I had never heard him or any politician ever give such insightful, analytical responses. The statements were neither didactic nor contrived to convince. They were simply hypotheses (not unlike the kind made by de Tocqueville three centuries ago ) offered by an observer familiar with American communities. And that kind of thoughtfulness was quite unexpected in the middle of a political event. In my view, the way he answered the question was more important than the sociological accuracy or the cause and effect hypotheses contained in the answer. It was a moment of authenticity demonstrating informed intelligence, and the speaker's desire to have the audience join him in a deeper understanding of American politics." And dear OLD Hillary had to try to rip him apart for his concern and love of America. Great job Hill. But keep up the trashing and pretty soon your women.. (of which how many were men??) will be turing their back on you for your spitefulness. This is not who we want as a president.

    Bill Kennedy,

How can you allow yourself to get embroiled in this spider web of Hillary Clinton's?

Super delegates, don't you think it is time to start making your move?
Sen. Clinton is going to bring disgrace on the Democratic Party.

Hillary is the least electable. She was from the beginning with all of her previous baggage. However how she has run this campaign and because she is the most blatently obvious crooked politian in my adult life, she could never win against a repub. I don't understand what has happened, save for that she is on the verge of a breakdown. Her lies and deception are maniacal, and dangerous. How she has any supporters at this point is beyond me. I have confidence however that Americans all across the country are far smarter than she is deceptive. I bet she doesn't want to redo Fla and Mich now. A revote would be a sad confirmation to her that she is just not liked for who she is. Sad sad sad. And to think I supported her before she ripped off the facade.
