The new ad is Clinton’s second negative spot this week.
The new ad is Clinton’s second negative spot this week.

(CNN) — Hillary Clinton’s campaign debuted a new 30-second television spot Tuesday that accuses Barack Obama of accepting donations from energy executives and supporting the Bush-Cheney energy bill – as the Illinois senator’s campaign unveiled a new mailer and Web ad that says she has accepted more lobbyist money than any other candidate.

“Every gallon of gas takes over three bucks from your pocket,” says the announcer in the new Clinton ad, ‘Pocket.’ “But Obama voted for the Bush-Cheney energy bill that put $6 billion in the pocket of big oil. Hillary voted against it….”

The new Obama mailer and Web ad make many of the same charges against the New York senator. "Clinton has taken money from lobbyists for oil companies, drug companies and insurance companies,” says the Pennsylvania mailer. “She says they represent ‘real people.’ Do they represent you?"

Hillary is destroying the party..

Beautiful thing...   April 15th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

IF WE COULD STICK TO THE ISSUES, WE COULD POSSIBLY SEE WHO IS THE BETTER CANDIDATE! SOMEONE'S CHURCH SELECTION, SOMEONE'S EXTRA MARITAL AFFAIRS, SOMEONE'S CHILDHOOD HUNTING EXPERIENCE, SOMEONE'S BOWLING. ETC.. REALLY WILL NOT AFFECT THIS COUNTRY IN ANY WAY!
THESE ARE POINTLESS DISTRACTIONS AS THEY WILL NOT HELP US IN ANY FORM OR FASHION!!!!!

Kevin, WV   April 15th, 2008 9:33 pm ET

How does the old saying go, "United we stand, divided we fall" something like that? I cant wait for the democrats to unite behind a particular candidate. I wish the rest of America had that attitude right now. When a nominee is decided I am sure that all democrats will unite and support that candidate no matter how many negative things are said and no matter how long it takes.

karen from philly   April 15th, 2008 9:33 pm ET

Hillary is involved in much more scary stuff that hasn't even begun to come out.
Just like she says, think of this as a job interview, applying for the job as President. I'm a supervisor now, and my best worker is the one who has the least experience because he is smart and a quick learner. And another point, when someone gets interviewed we do background checks for references and that means Hillary won't get elected.

thanks

Does anyone remember the last seven years???
Does anyone remember the election in which G. W. lost the popular vote but still somehow won???
Does anyone remember the 'flip flopper' adds???

Please Obama and Clinton, put a stop to this infighting and show that we ARE the elite party ( because anyone who doesn't want an elite person as our president shouldn't be allowed to vote) we are above negative campaigning.

Please!!! I beg of you stop acting like middle school students and start acting like the decisions we make have real world, life and death consequences.

if americans would have voted on real issues (economy, education, free speech, human rights, world peace, ….. ) in the last 2 elections we would be much better off. But instead the rebulican machine of disinformation and negative campaigning convinced the public that an oil rich C student could lead the free world.

with the current state of our union the Dems should be able to run a cardboard cutout and win in a landslide

WAKE UP!!!!!! AMERICANS

say NO to afghanistan
say NO to iraq
say NO to iran

say NO to McCain

STOP FIGHTING
START FIXING

When any superdelegates suggest that "the superdelegates should not overturn the will of the voters" they should also agree to count Michigan and Florida votes. Otherwise the party should change their name to something else.

Interesting   April 15th, 2008 9:31 pm ET

Excuse me but Carl from PA is exactly correct. In fact the media has already said every time Hillary brings this up that this bill increased taxes on the oil companies and increased research for alternative energy. She was a fool not to vote on that bill. It was for everything that she's been saying in her stump speeches, but of course hillary is a liar so I'm not surprised.

AND YES HE DID VOTE FOR THE BUSH CHENEY ENERGY BILL AND CLINTON DID NOT SHE VOTED AGAINST IT!

Louisiana Ed   April 15th, 2008 9:28 pm ET

Please fellow Democrats, don't blow this chance to take back the White House. Stop and listen to yourselves.."if my candidate doesn't get the nomination, I going to vote Republican"…Shame on you!!! This country is going to hell on the fast-track and you are going to vote for 4 more years of war and deficit spending? We can't afford another 4 years of war in Iraq. We are going to be lucky to stop Bin Laden and the Taliban in Afghanistan!!! Do you trust McClain not to start another war with Iran? Our military cannot take another war without the draft. Are you willing to expose the young men and women in YOUR family to being drafted into a useless war? I doubt it!!! Look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself that question…you just may change your mind!!!

Sue   April 15th, 2008 9:27 pm ET

Hillary, was that not about green energy? Did it not include a higher tax on energy taxes. You are waxing poetic, grasping at straws, spinning your wheels….you and your campaign know this is refutable, so why do you keep stirring the pot when it is empty. as far as donations go, these donations came from individual donations from employees. Are you now telling us that if a work for a power company and doate $50.00 to a campaign that I am a special interest. Onse again a twist of the facts. Before you get into this mud slinging again, why not disclose who you PAS donaters are, and while you are at it, how about full disclosure on your taxes as to the accouting of Bills' earnings from all the companies that he "consults" on. You can't and won't get it. Pitiful

Hillary voted for GUN CONTROL.Ran on the issue in NEW YORK Hillary helped screw people with NAFTA. Hillary is involved with the Columbia trade agreement.Hillary also VOTED "YES" to the trade agreement Oman where the middle east gets 100% duty free goods into this country. Hillary took far more money from OIL COMPANY
relatives then OBAMA. Hillary took 342 million in earmarks. Hillary husband pension is much higher than ANY OTHER EX-PRESIDENT
HILLARY IS AN ELITIST. She is a liar and makes sure her own self interests come FIRST. They made 109 million reported on her taxes but what about money she recieved behind CLOSED DOORS IN PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS??? HILLARY CONTINUES TO BACK OTHER COUNTRIES NOT OURS. She is NATURAL AT MANIIPULATION, LIES and DECIT. She has a lot of favors to return to her LOBBYISTS BACKERS.

Plus the bill is called the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

To call it the Bush/Cheney Energy Bill is misleading… but not surprising.

Also I must add that I believe Sen. Clinton is trying to insert racial overtones into her negative campaigning against Sen. Obama.
As far as I am concerned the word ELITIST=UPPITY.

This is a word that alot of southern whites would use to describe a black man or woman who they would consider lived above their means, or even to say lived just as good or better than White Americans.

Sen. Clinton in my opinion is doing this because she know she has not chance of taking this nomination away from Sen.Obama. She wants to destroy him, and the Democratic party as much as she can. To try and keep the American people divided. To try and turn the whites that are for Sen. Obama against him, and his black supporters.
Once again I WOULD SAY TO SEN. CLINTON SHAME ON YOU.
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE NOT BLIND WE SEE WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO DO SEN. CLINTON, AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO FALL FOR IT.

- There's a useful tip they tell you when you go out to campaign for any candidate. They tell you not to criticize/get angry with people who disagree with you. High minded debate is healthy and good, but please be aware that you only serve to damage your own side when you pile on the personal attacks.

Taylor   April 15th, 2008 8:39 pm ET

I do not understand why people have a problem with this ad. It is completely true. No one is scrutinizing Obama and it takes that kind of scrutiny… both positive and negative information will help us come to the truth and evaluate him corectly. No one says anything when Obama says something awful about Hillary, such as when his wife suggested that she could not govern because of her inability to stop her husband from engaging in oral sex with another woman.

However, it is true… Obama takes money from large spenders and wealthy bundlers to cut across expenditures, he has people from Blue Cross runnin his campaign, his campagin chair is David Axelrod the kingmaker in the media, he has accepted money from Tony Rezko and let his own district got o hell becaue of his influence from Rezko, he lies about his bill on ethics reform it was not at all a big deal, moreover it was a waste of tax money being that it said that lobbyists and PAC's could do whatver they wanted for a political candidate so long as the politician were standing at the time of receiving it.

Besides what good is candidate who makes his campaign about changing ethics codes if he is so naive, has so little experience, and has such a small depth of knowledge on the toehr issues that matter.

I just do not undertsnad it at all.

Michael,North Carolina   April 15th, 2008 8:37 pm ET

Sen. Clinton is the one who should be ashamed of herself. SHE HAS PEOPLE WHO WERE FORMERLY IN CHARGE OF HER CAMPAIGN DOING BACKDOOR DEALS WITH THE COLOMBIAN GOVERNMENT, AND SHE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT THIS ISSUE. True or not about this energy deal. The deals that her and her cronies were doing with the colombian government has done more damage to the AVERAGE WORKING MAN, AND WOMAN, than this energy deal she is PROBABLY NOT BEING COMPLETELY HONEST ABOUT.

I find it ironic that people say that Obama is honest and the real deal. HELLO! Wake up people, he is no different then all the others. He has too many issues like Wright, Rezko, Michelle. Oh ya, and the real biggie, he has little experience! This is a job interview folks. Experience is more important than charisma. And Hillary has far more experience than Obama no matter what you say. She has 20 years on him in age and that counts in my book! For all the Clinton haters, sorry, the best you could do was spend millions of dollars and give Ken Starr free will to terrorize Washington for years and STILL could not come up with anything to hang on the Clintons! In yet, the worst that happens is you get Bill Clinton for lying about a personal affair. That is sad if you still hate the Clintons years afterwards and have turned this campaign into reliving the past. Very sad and pathetic.

Undecided Voter in PA until now...   April 15th, 2008 8:24 pm ET

The media bias and the recent Obama comments has finally helped me to make up my mind. The media is cherry picking the polls. I believed what the media was telling me until my daughter looked up some polls on a website called real politics. Hillary is up by more than what the media is saying. I noticed that the media was trying to trick me into voting for a candidate. I still cannot understand why the media is against Hillary the way that they are. Also, I read a lot of these post and a lot of the Obama supporters were very hateful. I will vote for Clinton in this election.

Obama on Guns - when Obama ran for the Illinois state senate the political group, Independent Voters of Illinois (IVI), asked him if he supported a “ban [on] the manufacture, sale and possession of handguns” and he responded “yes.” - LIAR- But in what will probably be the most improbable change, the Politico reported on Saturday that Barack Obama was making a big play for gun votes in Pennsylvania. In 1998, another questionnaire administered by IL State Legislative National Political Awareness Test didn’t ask about banning all handguns, but it did find that Obama wanted to “ban the sale or transfer of all forms of semi-automatic weapons.” Source: Fox News and Politico.com
71) Obama distort (aka “Lie”) about McCain saying, “McCain (he) is willing to send our troops too another war of 100 years in Iraq”. Obama also denied what he said on the video - LIAR - The video proves him absolutely untruthful (”a liar”).

"Clinton faults Obama for voting for the 2005 energy bill, which she calls 'the Bush Cheney energy bill.' But the compromise Obama voted for was supported by most Senate Democrats and lacked many of the administration's original proposals… It resulted in a small net tax increase on oil companies."

If Hillary did poorly in PA, it would change American politics forever. Meaning American people are smarter than she thinks. I am sure most voters know what word elitism means. How can you describe smeone who is 100 times less wealthier than you as an elite? No wonder some people are starting to think that there some prejudice behind these attacks of her. It's just a turn off when she attacks him for something as simple as the word "bitter".

Dear Clinton supporters,
stop typing in all caps, show some etiquette.

Here are the facts for you:
1. Clinton is behind is all major areas - delegates, states won, popular vote
2. She will not reach the magic # of delegates without at least a 70-80% win with the superdelegates.
3. Clinton lies - bosnia, campaign finance fraud, this latest ad. Why is there no facts in the ad? Just blatant false acusations.

Why is that everything that comes out of Hillary's mouth is either a lie, a misinterpretation or an exaggeration?

Clinton has the nerve to question Obama regrading special interests. The Clintons have shown how an ex-president become the highest lobbyist the money can buy! Do you think Bill Clintons hour long talks are worth quarter of a million dollars? If this is not a bribe by special interest what is? On the other hand most of Obama money comes from small donations. 1.4 million donors is not a joke!

Clintons have set a new standards in political corruption. Joe six pack she emulates would not earn that much in a decade!

Take a hike Hill!

The people of PA can but an end to this. I have been reading blogs on the Huffingtonpost and it appears they are more angry with Clinton than Obama over the recent events. It seems they are realizing that in attacking Obama over his remarks, she revealed that she doesn't get it that people really ARE frustrated. She seems out of touch with just how bad people have been hurting. I think his comments revealed just how much he DOES understand our anger, frustration, and yes, at times bitterness.

James from Pittsburgh   April 15th, 2008 7:52 pm ET

CNN and others, please beware of the truth of this add. Federal Election Commission requires the occupation and industry of all people that donate to a campaign. Hillary Clinton is adding up all the small donations that Obama has received and saying the oil industry gave Obama x dollars. Such is not the same as accepting lobbyist money or PAC money which is bundled from multiple wealthy donors and given by a special interest.

Hillary's add is misleading and false. To say that the fuel pump attendant, the janitor at BP, are oil fat cats is absurd. If anything, the individual donations from the CEO is equal to the donation from the Pump Attendant since both are capped at a low amount.

I think that it is very important for the investigative reporters to look into any charitable foundations under the control of the Clinton, Obama or McCain families including information on the donors, business records concerning the foundation activities, and any other information of political relevance. Are these just shill operations to avoid taxes or what?

I think that the voters would also like to know what happens to political donations / contributions after an election.

Dal   April 15th, 2008 7:50 pm ET

NickSanDiego,
Your question is about the $110 million given to the Clinton Foundation by the Canadian - Bill helped that Canadian get the contract in Russia. The foundation money is money which does not get reported in the Bill and Hillary Clintons personal taxes. That money is still theirs but in their foundation so Chelsea and her off springs will be able to enjoy the fruits of this double dealings. That foundations participants are Bill, Hillary and Chelsea. I have not done the research on the that foundation but that is my gut feeling.

Marie in California, you are so right on!!! Senator Clinton will win Pennsylvania and beyond. She will become our nominee. I support her 100%. Senator Obama lacks substance and in reality his voice grates on my nerves. My ears shut down when he starts to speak. Please, Senator Obama go home now!! HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT!!!!

Hillary Lies!   April 15th, 2008 7:41 pm ET

She's one to talk about who voted for what miss 'I voted for the G-D Iraq war!'

Get lost Billary, you're wasting your fortune on this hopeless campaign.

Edgar   April 15th, 2008 7:41 pm ET

Obama supporters and CNN - get this clear that no matter how much positive poll rating you list - Obama is not going to win GE. Obama is many people views will seen as John Kerry & Al Gore.

Get this clear as well a Liberal candidate has not won an election sine JFK! So, is that clear to all of you Hillary haters, and as much as you call her a liar, she is the only candidate that has said the truth, Obama can't win he is to new and new is not what Washington needs as mentioned over and over by Obama.

Fact - how can Obama change DC if those are all of his colleagues that he is taking negative in the campaign. He needs all of them united to change things in DC.

Dani   April 15th, 2008 7:41 pm ET

Just like I keep saying, he talks of change, but is no different than any other politician. He can't deliver on his message of hope because his message is rehersed not genuine. He calls everyone out on voting for the war (which they were misinformed), and on voting this way or that way, well he obviously makes some questionable calls himself now doesn't he, that is when he bothers to vote decisively rather than just "present."

Jean   April 15th, 2008 7:40 pm ET

Hillary is gasping for breath. Relax lady if you win you will be out of amoition for the next challenge in life.

If I could give Obama any advice it would be
KEEP POSITIVE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE AND REMAIN ON THE ISSUES, THE CLINTONS HAVE TOO FRIENDS AND PEOPLE THAT OWE THEM FAVORS TO MEET THEM ON THEIR TRUFF.

Linda Montgomery   April 15th, 2008 7:40 pm ET

Please let us rest. Hillary, if I am this tired just keeping up with your lies, you must be exhausted spinning them. It's not going to work.

Keep some dignity. It gets worse for you each day. If you are going to stay in it, quit attacking every little word when you have had so many bald faced lies and distortions. Money from who knows where. Just keep it clean and professional, if you can.

Can you?

Dave W.   April 15th, 2008 7:38 pm ET

It is do or die time for Hillary. I expect her to pull ut all of the stops and throw everything her and her team can at Obama. I think it is going to get much dirtier and nastier in the next few days. I think Obama would be best to try to rise above it and show Penn. who really is the bitter one. As for the comment made today about Obama being where he is because he is black, would Hillary still be in this race if she was a man. How many women are supporting her just because she is a woman. Would all of her mispeaks, family scandals, not releasing earmark spending, her spouses contributors list to the library be overlooked and ignored if she was a man. I don't think so.

Ovitshio Branco   April 15th, 2008 7:37 pm ET

All you people that are for Hillary have nothing vested in this war. You just write insulting blogs and go about your business as usual. It's funny how the majority of you so-call-haters hide behind your screen names…the solution is REAL change…Hillary wants to be president so that her and her husband can write books and make tons of money from America…I really wish you people would do your homework about the two canidates before you express your opinion(s). She cares nothing for YOU as an American…her and her husband bought a house in NYC so she could run for the NY Senate…she ran for NY senate in the area she ran in cause she knew she would win…she ran so she could be president…she was already in the white house…ENOUGH OF THE BUSHES AND THE CLINTONS… for all you haters TOO BAD…
Hillary failed trying to get universal healthcare the first time and her major accomplishment for child healthcare was during her husband's presidency. If she gets nominated I feel the Republican Party will be unified because they really can't stand her. We need someone to unify the country. We need the feeling of hope in the prospect of a recession (I think we are already in recession). Our economy is based on trust in the government and our belief in the strength of the dollar. Hillary praised NAFTA (free trade) but some economists feel it is one of the reasons our dollar is weak. China’s trade surplus reached $177.5bn (£118.7bn) and our trade deficit is reaching an all-time high of $214bn. It's eerie similar. I feel that Obama gives us the trust we need in a time where critical decisions are needed to point our government in the right direction. Read a little of this and you might say "Obama knows what he is talking about and he seems to have real solutions".
At the Tax Policy Center in September 2007, he blamed special interests for distorting the U.S. tax code. "We are taxing income from work at nearly twice the level that we're taxing gains for investors," Obama said. "We've lost the balance between work and wealth."[100] His plan would eliminate taxes for senior citizens with incomes of less than $50,000 a year, repeal tax cuts said to favour the wealthy, close corporate tax loopholes and restrict offshore tax havens, and simplify filing of income tax returns by pre-filling wage and bank information already collected by the IRS.[101] Announcing his presidential campaign's energy plan in October 2007, Obama said: "Businesses don’t own the sky, the public does, and if we want them to stop polluting it, we have to put a price on all pollution." He proposed a cap and trade auction system to restrict carbon emissions and a 10 year program of investments in new energy sources to reduce U.S. dependence on imported oil.[102]
Obama was an early critic of Bush administration policies on Iraq.[103] On October 2, 2002, the day Bush and Congress agreed on the joint resolution authorizing the Iraq War,[104] Obama addressed the first high-profile Chicago anti-Iraq War rally in Federal Plaza,[105] saying:
I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of Al Qaeda. I am not opposed to all wars. I'm opposed to dumb wars.[106]
On March 17, 2003, the day Bush issued his 48-hour ultimatum to Saddam Hussein to leave Iraq before the U.S. invasion of Iraq,[107] Obama addressed the largest Chicago anti-Iraq War rally to date in Daley Plaza and told the crowd "It's not too late" to stop the war, though many demonstrators conceded that war appeared inevitable.[108]

Cynthia   April 15th, 2008 7:35 pm ET

Totally off the subject. Just saw John McCain on the Chris Matthews show and he said that he did not think that Barack Obama was an elitist and thought that he made a great speech on race. Someone for a totally different party than you telling the truth about you, while your own party member dragging you through the mud and lying like there is no tommorrow. Desperation doesn't look good on her - she should just stop it and run and ethical campaign and let the chips fall where they may.

McCain also said that he would be willing to meet with the Democratic nominee and agree to no dirty politics by him or his surrogates. That will be great.

Ovitshio Branco   April 15th, 2008 7:34 pm ET

I find it amazing that Hillary can call out OBAMA as an Elitist when the man clearly isn’t as rich as she has been all her life.
IN her AD she brags on her families summer cottage, how many people in 1950 had the resources to to have a summer cottage.
She made 109 million dollars. If it wasn’t for Barack’s books he wouldn’t have made what he did.
Yes he went to an Ivy league school , but so did she.
But unlike Barack she was NEVER raised by a single mother who had to help support them on FOOD STAMPS,and died at an early age.
Barack is a man who had to be determined to get where he is today, HILLARY has always had a carpet placed at her feet.
I used to like the Clinton’s until I seen them now for what they are, which are opportunistic that think they are entitled to the presidency , now which candidate is arrogant, patronizing, condescinding, and ELITIST.
Certainly not OBAMA, and this WHITE BITTER PENNSYLVANIA WILL NEVER VOTE FOR HILLARY LYING CLINTON, or BOMB BOMB BOMB IRAN JOHN McCAIN.

Bitter American   April 15th, 2008 7:34 pm ET

Can somebody please put together ad showing that Hillary not only voted for the war in Iraq (which cost us trillions of dollars) but also she has voted for a war in Iran, a second Iraq war, just this last fall (after her campaign started).

And with all her lies too!

How many of you fools know what the energy bill is?

FEDUP   April 15th, 2008 7:33 pm ET

I have heard what all the candidates have said, Hillary emblished her trip to Bosnia, lets call it a lie. Obama said he never heard Rev. Wright talk like we all heard, that is a lie. Obama then said he did hear it, but did not agree with it, a lie. Obama said Rev. Wright was his mentor, true. He recently said Wright was merely his pastor, lie. Rezko only contributed $125,000, Lie He receive no favors from Rezko, lie Rezkos' wife just happen to need a vacant lot at the same time Obama bought his house. The owner of both places required the lot to sell at the same time as the house? Obama claims he does not take donations from lobbist, lie. It is called bundling, a sneaky way to get the same thing. This is just the start of his lies. Dreams of My Father, trick the white folks by being courteous, smile a lot. He has certainly been successful at that trick.

MM   April 15th, 2008 7:31 pm ET

It is really upsetting the remarks from the Clinton supporters. You would really vote McCain in rather than vote for Obama? Then you are Republicans pretending to be Democrats. We all know the Republicans want Clinton to win because they figure that McCain has a better chance against her. Do we really want 4 more years of a Republican president guys? I really really really really REALLY dislike Clinton. But, if for some corrupt reason, she gets the Democrat nomination, I will swallow my bile and vote for her rather than let McCain get the nomination. I will also look at the Senate and Congress elections in order to try to get good people in there that will hopefully control her and get our nation on the right path. Then I will look forward to the next presidential election and hope that Obama or Edwards get stronger and able to topple her from her very shakey pedestal.

Allan-RMD-Obama   April 15th, 2008 7:30 pm ET

Definition of BITTER (adjective) from the Concise Oxford English Dictionary

1. Having a sharp pungent taste or smell; not sweet (drinking beer with a shot of Crown Royal, a Canadian whiskey)

2. Causing pain or unhappiness (to a duck when your dad takes you out behind the cottage that your grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and teaches you how to shoot when you were a little girl)

3. Feeling or showing angry hurt or resentment (living in PA and losing your job to China, India, Mexico or Columbia and being told that you are still happy and hardworking)

4. Harsh and acrimonious (answering a question on conflict of interest on husband’s $800,000 payout on US-Columbia NAFTA speech)

Common phrase: “to the bitter end” (fighting to the very end, in spite of harsh difficulties and against all odds).

Rick   April 15th, 2008 7:28 pm ET

Don't be silly people. Check out factcheck.org and see that Obama takes PAC money and gets money from lobbyists…he just does it in a slightly different way. In fact, they say that he has taken more money from the oil industry than ANY SENATOR.

The ones that come from nothing are always the worst elitists. Money does not equal elitism. So what if the Clintons have a lot of money. Was anyone surprised by that? The fact that they still work for our country shows me that they do it because they care.

Nice "change" Obama. You are the same kind of politics as usual. Just better marketing.

It is sad how people have been brainwashed by speeches. Obama is not God, did you notice that he was at Rezco's party, then he lied about the ammount he received from him.
Later on, his pastor accussed America of Terrorism and the worst part is that he inspired the tittle of Obama's book… he gave a speech, yet, he never apologized.
Obama and his lawyers disenfranchised FLA and Michigan with the DNC witnessing everything.
Now he has attacked Core American Values.. gun ownership and faith.. If some of you do not believe in God, millions of Americans do out of conviction and not out of frustration like Obama stated.
God will bless America by delivering us from an extremist-snob who plays to be the savior. He is just words.

HILLARY-08

Even these deceptive ads will come back to haunt her because the American people see right through her two-face lying person. America……..do not vote for Obama…. who insults the people. How rude & critical. We do not need a president like this.

Obama……..lost our vote a long time time ago with being negative.

Now Strongely for Hillary Clinton

Clinton 08

Lynn D   April 15th, 2008 7:20 pm ET

Hello Obama supporters. The difference is Senator Clinton does not make a bold claim to not taking any money from lobbyists. Senator Obama says he does not take money from lobbyists when he does. The media is fooling you into believing that Senator Clinton does not tell the truth. The media is brainwashing you. Ask Senator Obama to tell you about Tony Rezko, Rev. Wright and Wiliam Ayers. Ask him why he called PA people "hicks" No matter what Senator Clinton is the better choice to beat McCain in November.

Incredible!   April 15th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Elaine from California……..check at factcheck.org……..you will find that Senator Obama has left out some critical information in this bogus ad. That would be what he has accepted and taken from his big corporate money people - guess what, more than Clinton. He only tells 1/2 truth. Sorry you are so gullable - but most Obama supporters are. Just check the facts and then decide. There is a principal in law called 'ommission of fact'. Check into that too.

Obama is unelectable for the General Election. I think it should be a prerequisite for every super delegate to read his books. They provide a clear picture of his intentions and how he thinks. This is only the beginning…and he will get smooshed by the Republicans. They will not need a big boat to swiftboat him - more like a canoe.

Hillary 08   April 15th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Obama will not win even with all the DRUG money he's using for his TV ADs!!!!!!!!!

Tejano   April 15th, 2008 7:19 pm ET

Now that is hitting below the belt. Why can't you too be civil to each other. We all know that politicians receive money from Big Oil and Drug companies. That is why Oil prices are high and Drugs are illegal and we can't buy them in Mexico or Canada where drugs are cheaper.

Get this intra party fight over soon so we can get to the main event.

maggie   April 15th, 2008 7:09 pm ET

You people are so stupid! You don't bother to look anything up, but you just keep talking….saying what you hear the media idiots saying on TV. Elitism is a state of mind. It has nothing to do with how you grew up or how much money you have now. It's who and what you THINK you are!! Barack holds his head up so high, chin in the air, looking down on everyone! Yes, he definitely fits the description of an elitist!! For those of you who didn't take the time to look it up…I've done it for you.

Hillary shouldn't be one to talk. She's got more baggage than LAX. It seems like all she can do is go negative. She's been a nay sayer from day one. Nay sayers are always an impediment to progress. The fact that she thinks people will buy into this hypocrisy is insulting to the intelligence of the American voters. There is no way I want her representing the values of the Democratic party this next election. If she wins, my endorsement goes to whatever reality show contestant is popular this fall. I never watch that garbage, but I just might have to start this next election season depending on the primary's outcome.

The Bush Cheney energy bill allowed hydraulic fracturing a process where toxic chemicals are injected into the ground to help extract oil and gas. In hydraulic fracturing for methane gas in coal formations, these fracturing fluids are injected directly into the water sources. In many instances they remain in the coal formations even after cleansing attempts using water and acid. The energy bill banned the EPA from prohibiting hydraulic fracturing in oil and gas production, despite an 11th Circuit Court of Appeals case that required EPA to regulate it as a drinking water contaminant. That's why Clinton voted against it.

Truth   April 15th, 2008 7:01 pm ET

If you are going to vote for McCain instead of Obama, I'm pretty sure you voted for Bush in 2000 and/or 2004. Look at your judgement. Look retrospectively, ignoring your ego, at how he did compared to how it is likely Gore or Kerry would have performed.

Do you not learn from your mistakes? Would you rather vote for McCain out of spite instead of giving this country a chance at changing the path to destruction we are currently on? Can you possibly not think of your own personal interests for once and think of this country as a cohesive unit?

For the love of god people, stop acting so childish and realize McCain will bring us to war with Iran, allow for the rich to get even richer, and continue to destroy our civil liberties. Did you even know that the US has approved use of unmanned aerial surveillance and satellite surveillance against domestic objectives. It has even been approved for Police use. This is a clear violation of the 4th and 15th amendments and you people don't even know probably. And guess what… McCain supported this bill to allow this.

Accept the fact that you may be ignorant and you open yourself up to learn much more than putting your fingers in your ears and closing your eyes.

CNN Moderator who has this comment's fate in your hands, I speak the truth, and if you are a human being who values the freedom of this country and its people, let my voice be heard for once, lest you be complicit in its downfall.

Hillary would have voted for NAFTA
Hillary voted for the WAR
Hillary lies and takes money from lobbyists

I don't get the point of the ad - it's like it's taken out of context and twisted as usual.

Power hungry,

Amazing...   April 15th, 2008 6:53 pm ET

Distortion at its best! Everyone knows that to get things done certain bill or packages contain good/bad! It is called compromise! To be a uniter, you must be able to compromise! Check the facts from both camps before making quick judgments!

Chris   April 15th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

Where are the "issues" ads? Hillary, stop the the old politics and divisive attacks - keep your eye on the ball and win because of what you represent!

Obama 08! (hispanic husband and white wife)

Robin   April 15th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

Blah, Blah, Blah I am getting sick of this whole thing. Looking at all three of these people makes me sick.

Vanessa   April 15th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

That's right… so out of the 130+ million Obama has raised, around 100k came from executives in the oil companies (I think it was about 3-4 executives)

Hillary… how many millions did you take from medical and oil lobbyists?

Obama is about "words"… how much do you and your husband charge for speaking engagements?

How long Hillary ever on food stamps growing up?

demwit   April 15th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

Are the dems fighting over oil??

Tega   April 15th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

Obama 08 for life!!!!

Marie in California   April 15th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

Obama is so much hot air and baloney! And the people he chooses to hang out with leave a whole lot to be desired. Plus, he has four fatal flaws….no experience, no character, no substance, no judgment.

Hillary needs to save us from the scary possibility of an Obama presidency. If she fails, then the job will have to go to McCain.

No Obamination in the presidency…..ever!

Hillary or McCain - 2008

RealityKing   April 15th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

The truth is…, no candidate takes money from oil companies because it is illegal to accept donations from corporations.

But company employees can give, and give they do…, in fact, Obama has received nearly $214,000 from oil and gas industry executives and their families.

Jake, California   April 15th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

Is Hillary against people voting for bad bills?

I thought the Iraq war bill was bad…maybe I'm not in touch with America.

Former Clinton Voter   April 15th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

You know, I was until today a Clinton supporter, but even I have to finally admit Hillary has an honesty problem. You can excuse a few things maybe here and there, but this is a really established pattern. The most important quality in any President is character, and I just don't think Hillary has any. I do believe Obama does so I am cast my support behind him now. It's time we unite and pull together for the main event that's coming. Let's go people.

Lord Voldemort   April 15th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Has anyone seen Ron Paul?
Wasn't he planing or having a revolution?
I miss the little crazy bugger.

Spirit of America   April 15th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Obama voted for the Bush-Cheney energy ripoff, and Clinton voted against it.
Actions speak louder than words.
Obama is a fraud.

James, PA   April 15th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Hillary is a mess. Just still putting distractions. There is no way Obama would consider Hillary for VP.

Dee   April 15th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

Just making the connection between the Bush-Cheney name does not make the bill bad!!!
That bill placed an increased tax burden on oil companies!

Hillary is using cheap political manipulation techniques again…what else is new?

Niky   April 15th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

Now, is there a way we can check the facts?

UNITED States   April 15th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

DEMOCRATS,

STICK TOGETHER…

CNN POST THE TRUTH.....   April 15th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

Hillary is right and Obama did vote with Bush but it won't change nothing for Obama nuts they like him because he's part black and gives good speeches even though their not his speeches more than half the time and when they are, it usually starts trouble like when he was in San Fransico. It's not about change or pollicy, It's about people who make money who don't have any forclosures or health insurance problems who thinks its cool to have a black guy and all the AA who are voting strictly by color, it's sad but true.

elaine of california   April 15th, 2008 6:41 pm ET

Its about time Obama hits back on Hilliary. So far he had been a real gentleman about not digging the mud up on Hilliary…Hilliary has done nothing but attacked Obama since the campaign began….in fact she even stated "let the fun begin". I'm sick of her negative campaigning and her supporter who are constantly whining about any attack against Hilliary….she has thrown everything at him including the kitchen sink and she is still behind. More than half of America does not like Hilliary…wonder why…can you figure it out Hilliary supporters…take your vote and give it to Mc Cain we don't need you.
If Hilliary steals this nomination I will vote for McCain too…so what do you think of that Hilliary supporters…white sixty one year old woman.

pc   April 15th, 2008 6:39 pm ET

Obama learns from his mistakes. Hillary doesn't.

Go Obama!

Tim   April 15th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Theres a sharp difference between Obama voting for a bill and then claiming with no proof that he did it for special interests and Clinton taking money for lobbyists. Clinton has NO IDEA why Obama voted for that bill. She does, however, know full well what she is doing when she TAKES MONEY FROM LOBBYISTS.

The people of the remaining states will see right through this. She is the Washington Insider. He is the fresh face. Thats been her whole schtick the entire time. Explain to me, Hillary, how an "inexperienced" new senator has enough experience to do some things but not others? It doesnt add up. Either hes capable or hes not.
