New Obama spot responds to Clinton ad

Clinton and Obama have traded negative ads this week.
Clinton and Obama have traded negative ads this week.

(CNN) – Less than a day after Hillary Clinton’s campaign released an ad that said voters were “insulted” by Barack Obama’s recent remarks about some small-town Americans, the Illinois senator’s campaign released a new Pennsylvania spot Tuesday that says people are “rejecting Hillary Clinton’s attacks.”

The 30-second ad opens with some members of a Pennsylvania crowd reacting badly to Clinton in Pittsburgh Monday when she said “I know that many of you, like me… were disappointed by recent remarks that [Obama] made.”

Says an announcer, “There's a reason people are rejecting Hillary Clinton's attacks. Because the same old Washington politics won't lower the price of gas or help our struggling economy. Barack Obama will represent all Americans. He offers a new approach….”

Obama himself adds: “When we get past the politics of division and distraction and we start actually focusing on what we have in common, there's nothing we can't accomplish…”

How do people not know what Obama's specific plans for the U.S. are? He has CLEARLY called for a 100% increase in positive actions to help ALL Americans. I have not seen what percentage McCain and Clinton have called for... Maybe they are afraid to set a specific percentage of positive actions.

Alls I know is that an increase of 100% will do a lot for everyone!!!

Really guys give Hillary a break,(jejeje) she does not know better...besides....this kind of smart / new / true politics has been a problem for her. She can't out think it, nor catch up is to fresh, even for a professional as her. If you argue the right way you never can be wrong. But unfortunately Hillary does not argue...she just formulates a lesser version of the truth, changes words, waits to see what senator obama is preparing to do, then act. Is really poor the way she has let her campaign be managed, this whole situation, has been extremely poor. It is true, what they say, once you ran out of arguments, lies and confusions take place. We do not need confusion in trouble times, we need to be focus and that ladies and gentlemen is a fact that has the Hillary campaign "BITTER."

It's nice Obama did not to respond to H. Clinton's add with another negative one. Very effective.

We will need to rally around whoever wins the nomination and at this point looks very much like Obama will win. I doubt that many of Clinton's base of supporters would actually vote for McCain when they find out he left his wife to marry his present wife and with her family's wealth got him into politics in the first place. Or perhaps they just love his flipflopping on issues.

Anyone from a small town or big city that isn't "bitter" must be part of the 28% that actually think Bush is doing a good job. Obama is a better man than I because I would have spent at least a million dollars just running an ad with Hillary recalling her Bosnia event on one side of the screen and the actual footage of the truth on the other side of the screen, over, and over again. I don't mind so much hearing the the nasty comments from woman that idolize Hillary and really want to see the first woman president. What gets me is the bigoted folks who would really never vote for any black person. As for anyone who would throw this country down the drain and actually vote for a republican after this last 7 years that claim to be democrats, if their candidate dosn't win, well that is just insane!!! The economy is collapsing for a reason. Pure unchecked greed. I will hold my nose and vote for Hillary if she somehow manages to steal the nomination from Obama . We all knew that a day would come when we would have an Afro-american run for president. All you men out there that say you would throw your vote to McWar if Hillary is not elected as the nominee, are probably just closet bigots at best!

I think people are twisting Obama's words, including Obama himself after trying to save face. He said exactly what he said. It is even more telling that what he said was at a closed, private event in San Francisco.

He was not just merely pointing out that people in small towns in PA were bitter because they want a change. He was putting down voters that do not support him. He said that they cling to religion, guns, anti-immigrant sentiment, etc. out of bitterness. And that somehow explains why they are not inline with Obama.

Obama needs to be completely transparent before McCain gets a hold of him. He won't just attack him for being an elitist. The Republicans have such a slew of issues they can blast him with, they won't give up.

    Reverend Wright
    Muslim country upbringing
William Ayers, a radical terrorist that is now speaking on another news station.
His church supporting a "Nation of Islam" leader, Farrakhan
Criminal friend, Tony Rezko, from Chicago
Michelle speaking about "mean" American and not being proud of America

    The list is endless.

If this is truly a Democratic Blog, support Hillary or McCain will win this contest.

Clinton supporters are just that, 'supporters'. They are defending her words against Obama.

Most people aren't offended from a word – "BITTER"

Everytime Clinton bounces the ball with criticism, Obama should throw one right back from the 3-point line and get nothing but net.

They are too close on the issues. The only thing left is character attacks for Hillary to try to steal the nomination. Then McCain will be president and we will have the Clintons to thank.

I would be very surprised after this if she is reelected to her Senate seat.

He has not one to blame but himself for his own words that go against the core of his campaign of hope and change. What he said, where he said it, and how he said it all contributed to this major gaffe that did reveal an elitist attitude. It's like going to visit someone and acting one way and then going back home and gossiping about them.

He is shooting himself in the foot by attacking others for his own words. He should just own up to it big time and apologize big time.

The champagne corks are popping at the RNC!

  22. Can't wait for November 08

Is Hillary naive, have her head stuck in the sand, or what? Does she not realize that the criticism she feels now will only mutliply many times IF she is the Democratic nominee (courtesy of the "smoke-filled" back-room super delegate vote)? Republicans and right-wing minded bloggers and organizations are sharpening their written and verbal skills and waiting. Just waiting for Hillary and Bill to be the nominees (realize that whomever her supposed VP choice is – – -it's really Bill). She hasn't felt their sting yet. They will bring up every scandal of the Clinton era – whether she was an active participant or not and remind people that Bill is "rattiling" around the White House again. She can't and shouldn't play the "don't pick on me because I'm a woman card" – – she's running for the PRESIDENT of the United States. She may be electable in New York, doubtful in the nation.

First of all, you haven't been keeping up Sounds familiar – Obama won in Texas – the delegates are now 9+ in his favor with 4+ in the super delegate count. Sorry – but the caucus overturned the republican influx from Rush Limbaugh's attempt to fault the system during the primary.

Next check the polling happening with the Columbus Dispatch and Cleveland Plain Dealer – Obama now has a 46-44 and 47-41 lead respectively in how a re-vote would occur when they do the Ohio State Delegate count in June.

As far as I'm concerned. I voted for Hillary – in the primary here – but I've become so sickened with her and her supporters gangster approach to win a nomination, she won't get it again.

    To "Go Hillary"
"If Hillary really wanted to she could squish you like a bug."

That has got to be the most ridiculous statement on this blog!!! Hillary wants nothing more that to "squish him like a bug"! Problem is...everytime she tries...it backfires. Are you even thinking before you type??? Or maybe you really do believe the hype.....
