McCain needs Lieberman...I mean REALLY needs him!
Who else can he count on to whisper the correct answer in his ear when he makes his mistakes over and over again. It wouldn't really shock me if he offers Lieberman the vice-presidency and then makes a big deal about how he's trying to 'unite' the parties. McCain might just be foolish enough to believe we Dems still think of Joe as one of our own. LOL

To NYC Native: Newyorkers had their chance to vote. They voted for Spitzer. And Bloomberg. Too bad his congestion pricing didn't work. Nor westside stadium. May be his next project will solve your problems.

It appears that our two-party political system has difficulty including those, like McCain and LIeberman, who place the welfare of our country over partisan conformity.

He can make a great partner for Zell Miller.

Lieberman is forever toast in Connecticut. Most of those supporting him now regret it. But he can always land a job with Fox News.

The average person posting on here are nothing more than bleeting sheep. You savage Joe Leiberman because his views no longer match those of the democratic party... yet were glowing over Vermont Senator Jim Jeffords when he left the Republican party.

Pragmatism is dead. Stand proud with your pitch and forks for attempting to tear down a decent guy (Joe Leiberman). Can you disagree with some of his views - yet STILL respect the guy??

Nahh... didnt think so.

Mr. McGoo will never win. He just won't. So Lieberman can jump on his bandwagon, but it's going in the wrong direction. The McGoos and the Liebermans will be over in one direction, and America and the world will be in another.

It's time to end this stupid war and bring our soldiers home. The McGoo/Lieberman ticket will not only continue this war, but start a new one--that's three wars. Enough is enough.

McCain and Lieberman exemplify what is good in this country. They don't buy into party labels and agendas. They do what is best for America. They are true patriots that deserve our support.

For those of you who don't care for Lieberman because of his Jewish ancestry. Let me remind you that we are a Judeo-Christian culture and we (The United States) will always back Israel over these blood thirsty Islamic Radicals that want to destroy not only Israel, but Western civilization.

Your leaders are not telling you the truth. We are engaged in a Religous war that has been going on for 2,000 years. The only difference now is that the enemy has the potential of destroying everyone including themselves.

In the land of freedom, Lieberman can address any audience, provided it's a reasonable and respectful speech. I don’t quite catch why most of the Obama and/or Hillary supporters are so afraid of what he has to tell… Would he say some of the Democrats were not that democratic as to his former own plans for a nomination?

The problem that I have with Lieberman is that he appears to care more about Isreal than he does about America. I think it is time for Connecticut to hold a recall vote and replace him woth someone who supports America first.

Now McCain is someone that can bring this country together. He even brings former democrati VP nominees to his side. That is bringing government together. Obama and the left's idea of unity is getting you to agree with their idea's or you are wrong. Read other post on this blog, and you can see what I'm saying.

If the Democrat Party had more Zell Millers and Joe Liebermans, it actually might stand a chance of winning an election. Instead, men like these are marginalized and pushed out of the crazy party. We no longer have a 2 party system because the Dems are just not viable as a legitimate party.

For those of you laughing that Joe backed a loser in 2000...yes he did...and was smart enough, and brave enough to figure it out and not back a loser this time around. Only the Dems keep doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result. Crazy....once again....you lose the national election.

This is further proof that the Democratic party is moving left- and pulling its loyal fan base with it. Only a left-ward veer into liberal oblivion can explain how people like Lieberman or Zel Miller find it necessary to address the Republican convention as they are left behind by their party.

As eye-brow raising as it is to say as a Republican, I'd rather vote for Clinton than Obama. The Obamabots are following a charismatic ideolog, and charismatic ideologs are always dangerous, because their rhetoric is built on emotion and not substance, and they followers invest their love and nor their logic into backing the candidate. I am not electing a President to bring the country together- I'm electing them to manage the Federal bureaucracy and hopefully do what Bush hasn't- cut the federal budget and spend less money as a percentage of GDP. McCain is the man to helm the ship and stave off Democratic entitlements and taxes. And Lieberman, for his reasons, supports him.

Good luck Senator on re-election in 2012 and getting your Democratic seat back.

This is further proof that the Democratic party is moving left- and pulling its loyal fan base with it. Only a left-ward veer into liberal oblivion can explain how people like Lieberman or Zel Miller find it necessary to address the Republican convention as they are left behind by their party.

Lieberman likes the "elitists" Republicans because he gets
free taxpayer paid trips around the world, which McCain likes
to call "the Middle East Trip," when, really the core reason of the
trip was to have a fundraiser in London!!!!! They only threw in
Iraq when people started complaining. I call it, "The Cronie Trip."

Lieberman, you've got every right to do what you believe is best and I applaud your decision to back the person you believe is best for the country but here's what I don't like... go be an independent. Don't use the democrats or the republicans or any party as a crutch to get you elected. If you don't agree with the democrats, don't be one. If you do, stick with them and only them. Same thing if you want to be with republicans, you want to stick with them, be one. If you can't decide, be an independent and stop lying to your own voters about your party affiliation.

If Obama is the Democratic nominee there are many of us who will vote for McCain, but NOT if you are on the ticket.

Lieberman is absolutly irrelevant for the American people. He supports the politics he wanted the American people to oppose as he was Al-Gore's running mate against G.W. Bush. Simply a dishonest untrustable evil person.
