GREENVILLE, North Carolina (CNN) – Barack Obama taped an interview with Stephen Colbert of Comedy Central's 'Colbert Report' Thursday early evening to air later that night.
Obama will participated in the interview with Colbert via satellite after his event in Greenville, North Carolina.
Also set to appear on Thursday's program: Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
SENATOR RODHAM CLINTON, ENOUGH DEBATE.TELL BILL
HE WIILL NOT BE PRESIDENT SO STOP FIGHTING.SENATOR
STEP DOWN. LET OBAM KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. HE WILL BE
A GREAT PRESIDENT AND WE WILL HAVE CHANGES
THANK YOU.
GO HILLARY , YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO DO THE JOB
I thought Obama didn't want to stoop to such antics. Didn't he say earlier that he wasn't going to do it, but instead have his wife make the appearance? He's running scared!! He definitely needs some comedic relief, considering his disasterous appearance last night in the debate.
No more bush. McCain, enough is enough!!!!
Obama really has a hard time loosing, get over it, so she won the debate, she's a better debater than you, also a better candidate, smarter, well mabe you've got good reason to be upset, sorry for your ego.
LOL!!! Didn't Obama reject to appear on his show before? Obama needs some exposure now after Wednesday debate. Man he looked bad!!
I just watched the "Dirt off your shoulders video".. did he frip Hillary off?! After "senator looked in her element"
I don't care what you say.. he flipped her off!
Truly, Comedy Central is where Obama belongs. His whole campaign is one big Joke. The only reason that he is still around is because he gets free advertising from the likes of Blitzer, Cooper, Cafferty, Surriel and Olberman(MSNBC). They might as well wear t-shirts on the air that say "BIASED FOR OBAMA!!!
Michelle did great on Tuesday
She looked very pretty
Colbert was flirting lol
I vote for the Stewart/Colbert ticket!
oh my goodness would all this garbage just end already I am so tired of this maybe this is her plan. just keep it going till the American people say they don't care if you lie, cheat, steal ,fraud, and oh misspeak. I hope after Dean's better late than ever "call to make known your choice". Watch tomorrow you are going to see between 20-25 superdelegates ball behind Sen Obama. late Friday afternoon.
Go Obama 08 Yes We Can
Wow. I wonder why Senator Obama changed his mind. He said no thanks the other day. Must be because he is afraid that Senator Clinton will mop the floor up with him like she did last night. Disappointed that I will have to watch Senator Obama tonight. There he goes again trying to undermine Senator Clinton. Oh well, it won't work. Senator Clinton will win this thing and then she will win in November.
I hope Colbert actually interviews them seriously. He's funny and all, but his interviews are so frustrating, because he just interrupts everybody and uses their appearances as a forum for his self-aggrandizing brand of humor. It honestly gets a little old. Jon Stewart has found the happy medium.
I thought Obama was too good and too above doing something like the Colbert Report.
His advisers probaly got to him...
Well, at least we know there will be two jokes on the program.
In the beginning I read that Obama turned Colbert down. After he heard that Hillary would be on evidently he changed his mind. I have never listened to Colbert but it will be interesting to find out what both candidates talked about. I know Obama lost the debate last night according to one of the networks. It appeared that Obama is not as quick answering questions as Hillary is. I am surprised for a college graduate.
It is understandable why and how Lieberman will stump for McCain, but you can put the Clintons in that category now. Surely Clintons will leave behind the biggest legacy of all – destroyers of the democratic party. Let this be a lesson to any other politician: if you have such destructive beings in your party, ones who would do any thing and run over anyone, at any cost to win, you might as well as get out of that party because this will be the first step to the death of a party. Someday, when we tell our grand-kids, and great grand-kids about politics, this would be one of the greatest examples of self-destruction. All the NY voters should beware and remember this in a few years time.
Sorry–Obama let me down when he chose rev wright over my country.
God bless America !!!
I think it is Great that Barack Obama, would be on Stephen Colbert Report, tonight. Barack Obama, need to have some Fun, and he will with Stephen Colbert. Go Obama!

HOWARD DEAN IS AN IDIOT!!!
Obama is just trying to steal Clinton's thunder. Guess he feels he needs to earn some cool points back after having his butt kicked int he debate.
HILL YEAH!!!
go hillary love ya girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if he will ask Obama about his lies. He said during the debate that it wasn't his handwriting on the gun control survey, and it was, his campaign has admitted it was. Obama looked right into the camera and lied to get out of asking the question. I guess that's part of the campaign of hope and change. What a joke this man is, he acts like he is so above it all, when he is just a "typical" politician!
Go Hillary!
NObama '08
Would be interesting to watch!
Can anyone explain to me what super-delegates are waiting for? If they can make up their minds by now, when would they be able to do so?
