Clinton campaign gets Weather Underground questions

Hillary Clinton speaks during Wednesday's ABC debate.

Hillary Clinton speaks during Wednesday's ABC debate.

(CNN) - The morning after Hillary Clinton attacked Barack Obama over his relationship with William Ayers, founder of Weather Underground, her campaign advisers struggled with questions over her view of pardons for members of that group issued by her husband, former President Bill Clinton.

On a conference call with reporters, spokesman Howard Wolfson said he did not know where the New York senator stood on the pardons, but that he would check.

The Obama campaign has responded to Clinton’s questions to the Illinois senator at Wednesday night’s ABC debate with press releases pointing to the former president’s pardons of Weather Underground members Susan Rosenberg and Linda Evans.

The group, which formed in the 1960s, sought the overthrow of the U.S. government, and carried out violent attacks including bombings.

If my co-worker and neighbor went to jail for a crime, does that make me a criminal? Of course not. His views differ from mine, and while I might get along with him, heck I might even be a friend to him, it doesn't mean his views and ideas would alter mine or effect me in any way.

Just because you know someone doesn't mean they effect your views, beliefs, or agendas. If you believe that, you are only fooling yourself.

The Pennsylvania primary has truly allowed people to be able to see Hillarys transparency, during the ABC debate in Philadelphia on Wednesday night. Hillary said "she maybe a lot of things, but she is not dum". I believe that statement is very true, but boy is she bitter. I have news for Hillary the American people arent dum either. The American people are very smart, and again they see her transparency. They see she is behind in the delegate count, and the popular vote, so America is aware that Hillary has nothing left but to pull out her millitary kitchen sink tactics, and pray that something will stick to senator Obama. But these tactics wont work, because the American people have waken up and realize its Hillary who is bitter. The truth is 15 months ago Hillary thought she was going to walk into this job as the presumptive candidate, and when Obama started taking away states, pledge delegates, popular votes, and the super delegates, the so called nice Hillary disappeared. Hillary has put on her boxing gloves and gone for the jugular. Remember when Hillary said the comment in 1992 " what do you expect me in the kitchen baking cookies"? The obvious answer is no Hillary, of course not! But we all expect of Hillary for you to stop your kitchen tactics. Obama said in the Philadelphia debate he understood her momentary slip, when she made her comment in 1992 about the cookies incident, which insulted so many people. So this Hillary type of campaigning is very sad, where she tries to spin a sound bite about Obama saying the word "bitter". Its sad when the truth is again that its Hillary who is bitter. I wish she would have the conviction to admit it because the American people know it to be so. Its to bad that Wednesday was one of the last debates on the calendar, because the question that should have been put to Hillary Clinton was "Hillary when your Husband had the affair with Monica Lewinsky during his time in office, when you were the first lady, were you bitter"? It makes one wonder if Hilary has been harbouring bitterness for years. I guess Hillary deserves that shot of whisky after all, shes been through a lot. If anyone ever runs into Hillary at a bar, buy her a round of beers. Yah she deserves it!

Weather underground Pardons from Bill Clinton. Well, another
new scandal for the Clintons. Well, I was beginning to believe
we had all the dirt. and 16 FALN Terrorist sympathizers that Bill
Pardoned. Oh, well, normally I think enough of this "bitter" stuff
but since she dishes it out, let's get some good reporting on this.
So, may she will shut her big mouth!

Who cares...both of them are in some way negatively connected with Weather Underground folks....

Obama's connection seems way more fishy though...

Hillarity, your husband's affairs; his business dealings with the Columbians; his pardons of corrupt business people who covered up his own criminal violations; your lies about NAFTA, Bosnia; your failures on health care on the Iraq war...yessirree, we are worried about Williarm Ayers. What BS. And it describes your failing campaign. You won't win dogcatcher after this.

Hillary didn't pardon anyone......nor did she party with the terrorist! .............., when Ayers the terrorist was brought up………. “He's not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis,” ………Does that mean he only exchanges ideas with the terrorist Occasionally?

The debate last night was a joke we all know that no matter whom you support. Obama did however try to keep steering things toward real issues not tabloid gossip! She on the other hand was negative condescending and nasty all the way through I do not think it helped her out at all now this on top of it and why are these Hillary supporters so concerned with a trail about that Obama might have been at a party or not? how about the case against both Hillary and Bill right now in California they are being sued for Fraud and have already lost the case on 2 separate appeals. the next court date will be april 25 notice it is few days after the Penn votes. I mean why is she doing this there is no logical reason she can not win the nomination and certainly not the GE. In fact some are wondering if she will even be able to hold on to her Senate seat!

    Go Obama 08

    To Middle-aged American:

I'm so glad someone else was watching the same debate that I was. Obama was asked 4 'current affair' controversy questions (Wright, Ayers, "Bittergate", Flag-pin) but Hillary got 1 and the weakest of them all (Bosnia). Where were those questions about Penn and Dubai??? They could've asked her either of those... but nope... they had to make room for the flag-pin question!!!!

Hillary is blatantly campaigning for superdelegates to override the popular and state vote! Do the math, she is too far behind and will not win the nomination. All we are doing now is fueling the republicans.

CONCEDE THE LOSS so we can reconcile and move forward

female grad student NYC: Yes, that logic should apply. Which is why it's perplexing that Hillary would attack on issues that Obama is not responsible for. You're obviously educated, so please explain to me why it's ok for Hillary to use these sorts of attacks, but when Obama defends himself by pointing out that she's not clean either, it's considered him being hypocritical. Either the attack is fair or it's not. Either way, Hillary loses.

You know, some people are bashing Obama for how he handled last night's debate. But put yourself in his shoes. You go to debate, expecting to talk about your policies, what your gonna do as President etc, etc. But when you show up, its a 3 ring circus, and the spot lights all on you to answer questions, that really, most of the public doesn't care about. Whether people are bitter or not, or whether Barak knows JWright does not put food on the table.

Hillary attacked Barack every chance she got. Her one "hard" question on Bosnia, Barak chose not to attack her on it, although he could of.

Why didn't the moderators put her under fire? Was it cuz they know she'll laugh off the question, as done before? or is it because they are prepping the one they think is going to win.

About Ayers, so, how many people's names would come up with the Clintons? She opened the door, wanted him to answer. Respectfully, she should do the same.

ANY ONE OF YOU that are still for Hillary, haven't lived thru losing
jobs, fearing job loss, or haven't paid enough attention to what the
job loses have cost our American People. And some "bitterness"

  24. For the love of this independent

Hillary could have stayed quiet when the question was raised like Obama did about the sniper fire. She is the one that interjected how it would be an issue in the general election. CNN reported that the questions were asked to Obama last night. CNN reported that someone asked her the question this morning. Where is the bias.

Wow, I'm not really sure of what I was watching last night. It was the worst debate I have ever watch, The two maderators should be out of television for conducting a stupid thing like that. A debate should be about issues not about personal attacks. she lost my vote after the bosnia story and after she helped the moderators last night if she win the nomination I will not vote for her. What is she thinking? She's a two face person. We don't need someone like that to be our president. We deserve better than Hillary Rhodam Clinton
