Obama says NC could crown him the nominee

RALEIGH, North Carolina (CNN) -– Barack Obama said Thursday that the North Carolina primary could be decisive.

"If we can win in North Carolina, I think we can wrap up this nomination," Obama told an overflow crowd of supporters outside his event in Raleigh. "And if we can win this nomination I think we can beat John McCain."

"I think everybody understands how important this election is," he continued. "North Carolina is going to be critically important."

jorge.. we, the true Democrats... don't NEED you, the soon to be BITTER Democrats.

And the flip side of that is.... watch hillary steal the nomination, and THEN watch a full an entire voting block sit home in what will be a close race.

do you really think hillary can win without the entire African American vote? That is a full 12% of the u.s. population that will sit this one out for being disenfranchised yet again. Picture Bush/Gore all over again.. now picture it with an entire voting block sitting at home...

  3. Chill Out

Jorge.....if that is a veiled threat that you would vote for McCain instead then by all means vote McCain. If you can't understand that having a Democrat in the White House is better than four more years of Bush policies then your vote is wasted anyway.

Question.....do you always act like this when you dont get what you want in life?

Take your ball and go home.

  4. Why the animosity?

Jorge, I don't get it – you're a Democrat, but you'd vote Republican over Obama in November? Why? He and Clinton have basically acknowledged that their policy differences aren't that great (and certainly not as great as their policy differences with McCain).

So what is it about Obama that disgusts you so much that you'd vote for McCain in November and have another 4 years like the last 8?

Hey tell the truth. You don't even know how to write the name of Iraq correctly so how can you know which is true? Obama is nothing but empty-speech with no knowledge on current US economy situation. If Democrats choose Obama, the US will suffer another 4 year.

  6. you mean

You mean if you come out ahead after this rigged nomination that disenfranchised millions of democratic voters.

Me, I'll write Hillary Clinton's name in.

I don't understand why Obama is being attacked because of what his Pastor said. His Pastor has a right to Free Speech. His Pastor just used his Free Speech right. Obama has nothing to do with the believes of his Pastor.

you must be rich. You must be making over $250,000 per year to allow another Republican get into the White House.

you must not have friends and family going back and forth to Iraq for a 3rd or 4th deployment. You must want John McSame keep us in this stupid war for eternity.

you must drive a Prius – because the only one's honestly concerned about the gas prices are the Democrats.

    Good luck with that...

YES WE CAN, Mr. OBAMA and don't worry about the Democrats that threaten to vote for MCcain or not at all if you are not the nominee in November. You see Mr. OBAMA, if they did, they don't deserve to be one of us, because a true Democrat wouldn't even consider such a threat. By the way, I feel the same when OBAMA supporters speak this nonsense. Democrats have alot of work to do and if we don't stick together, even if the one we support isn't the nominee, then we as Democats, are not true to our party.

I'm from NC, he can forget the rural votes and there are a lot of those,
Hillary first, McCain if I must and that's how most feel,

You won't win NC in the end anyway, it's a red state remember. I'm a blue person in a red state, probably more liberal than you Mr. Obama but I like results and I don't think you can deliver.

Hillary you were outstanding at the debates, tough, thorough, inspiring dependable.

NC is a red state remember, it won't matter in the end. I'm a native blue person in this red state, probably more liberal than Obama but I require results from a President & I don't believe you can deliver.
Hillary 1st, McCain if I must

Wow, a state with a large black population that will vote 95% in his favor and he's talking about "if we can win"

hilarious... race does divide our country, and it's a multi way street. Blacks are just as guilty as whites for some of our severe social problems as well, along with any other nationality....

it's nothing to be proud of, and we need to fix it... unfortunately, we aren't getting there any time soon.
