The debate questions were unfair to Sen. Obama, I think questions that you would expect form Sean Hannity. FOXNews must have promised this two idiots George Stephanoupolis and Charlie Gibson who copied the republicans 15 month rehased questions, but depite the unfailness in the debate Vote at ABC web site shows the following.

Vote: Who won the debate?

Sen. Barack Obama 36,796
Sen. Hillary Clinton 13,698
Tie 4481
Total 54,975

Overwhelming votes thought Obama won the debate. Shame ABC for your unfairness by allowing this two pro-Clinton idiots to ask Silly question that one would expect from Sean Hannity or Bill O'relly

Nat   April 17th, 2008 12:00 pm ET

Julie, you're wasting your time. The majority of people don't care what you think. Look at the polls!

A new Hope monger on our soil. The Pope, Benedict, had a mesage of Hope for all Americans. Barack Obama was mocked by both hillary and mccain for his message of hope. This country more than anyother needs hope and change. Obama listened to the people and brough that message right on target. I hope Catholics will listen to their own pope's message and Vote Obama.

no amount of spin or lies will deter Americans from voting for change. Obama brought to us the message of change. All candidates at one point or another, adopted the theme, including John Edwards, Mccain, Hillary clinton and all others.

Obama 08!!!!

Cecil   April 17th, 2008 11:50 am ET

Yes Americans are more concerned about flag lapel pins, overblown bittergate, than they are about the dismal economy, the collapsing dollar and the soaring price of gas and food. Give me a break.

This past debate was the epitome of what is wrong in our corporate media and our national discourse.

My Grades:

ABC: F
Stephanopoulos: F
Hillary: C
Obmama: C+

Obama 08

Steven   April 17th, 2008 11:46 am ET

This yellow dog democratic will vote for McCain before i'll vote for the inept Obama.

HILLARY CLINTON 08!

Nanc, MN   April 17th, 2008 11:45 am ET

I hope Gordon Brown doesn't fall asleep during the "I, Obama" bio.

If you were disappointed with the debate last night please contact George Stephanopoulos (212) 456-7777 (Admin) and voice your concern(s).

One voice, one nation = Unity

david   April 17th, 2008 11:38 am ET

It would be great for him to comment on how effective a leader he think either will be with foreign relations. We all know who that is, but I doubt the media would release the truth.

HILLARY...THE SMART PERSON'S CHOICE.

dani   April 17th, 2008 11:38 am ET

meeting or not meeting pope benedict have endorse barack with his message of hope today, so wat are will waitin for to elect him.

Sharon, Seattle   April 17th, 2008 11:34 am ET

Goody, Hillary can add another head of state to her resume of meet and greets.

Ramon Sison   April 17th, 2008 11:33 am ET

Maggie VT little early to be drinking don't you think?

Senator Obama after last night when our Goddess Hillary endorsed you. WE NOW LOVE YOU

OBAMA / CLINTON 08

Brian   April 17th, 2008 11:23 am ET

I will just add a comment here because CNN won't post mine anywhere else.. CNN I hope you enjoyed the debate last night, I know you are all rooting for Obama and I know you know he got his butt kicked last night. Let's not forget, most of Obama's supporters had NEVER EVEN HEARD HIS NAME before last fall. Wait til we learn more–and expose it–about this shady character :)

Joseph Ngoru   April 17th, 2008 11:23 am ET

Hope HRC will not tell us a day after that she met British prime minister under sniper fire to demonstrate her forein Policy experience. She is capable of saying anything to clich the nomination. Who knows meeting Gordon under sniper fire might help!!!
Come on HRC and your sniper rhetorics!!!

Chris in VA   April 17th, 2008 11:23 am ET

The British PM could probably help Obama with that problem of "mis-speaking" simple English and winding up belittling the voters' religious faiths and constitutional values.

Maybe Dubya is meeting Brown to learn his language.

Keyon   April 17th, 2008 11:22 am ET

I hope meeting with the British, goes well with Sen. Obama. "Yes we can"

julie   April 17th, 2008 11:18 am ET

I want congress to ask Mr. Obama to step out of the race, AND down from the U.S senate, He is a disgrace to the American people! I also say to Hillary and McCain supporters to boycott, Time magazine, and all their partner companys, I have started this in my state. They are showing their anti-american agenda by supporting Obama. I hope cnn has the credibility to post this.

Chris Bennett   April 17th, 2008 11:18 am ET

The British PM could help Obama with his tendency to "mis-speak" English and wind up insulting the voters of Pennsylvania.

Maybe Dubya is meeting with the British PM to learn the language?

Jed in Texas   April 17th, 2008 11:16 am ET

Gordon Brown, our lapdog, will give them the sniff test.I wouldnt meet with this boot licker till after the election.

Mike, Scranton   April 17th, 2008 11:16 am ET

If he doesn't bend over and kiss Hillary's jack boots, her bots (aka Howard Wolf-boy Wolfson) will take out attack ads because clearly he would be against all women if he didn't obey her.....right???

aliou salam, Jacksonville FL   April 17th, 2008 11:15 am ET

Here is one question I want the candidates to ask the resident of No 1 Downing street: Are the British ready to compensate Africa and America for slavery, colonization and exploitation?

It's good for the brits and Americans to talk about "helping" but when can we talk about giving them what is due these countries and people?

Jon, Pittsburgh, PA   April 17th, 2008 11:11 am ET

Why would he meet with Obama, he's the biggest liar of all 3 candidates and he doesn't stand a chance in November.

Hillary - Liar   April 17th, 2008 11:09 am ET

No need for Hillary or McSame to bother.

Obama will be our next president.

kris k   April 17th, 2008 11:08 am ET

In your dreams Martin.

Obama 08

Steve   April 17th, 2008 11:07 am ET

I agree with the majority of the posts. The PM could make much better use of his 45 with Sen. Clinton, by visiting a Star Bucks. She doesn't have a chance and should gracefully bow out for the good of the party.

Sharon Minnesota   April 17th, 2008 10:58 am ET

Mr. Brown will see through Sen. Obama and give his (private) nod to Clinton.

His country has seen what Muslim extremeism can do and will not tolerate any type of extremeism from an American who has been milk fed on Rev. J. Wright's brand.

Nathan   April 17th, 2008 10:57 am ET

One thing is certain. Gordon Brown will not ask questions about their pastors or about the stories they told about landing on a Bosnian runway long ago. Too bad we can't watch broadcasts of these interviews instead of that idiotic ABC "Debate" that asked questions about the most irrelevant matters and whose "moderators" failed to lead the candidates into unfolding their plans to deal the complicated issues that face all of us. Of course, the candidates cooperated in the game–Hilary in making skillful attacks, Obama and Clinton both in giving trimmed down versions of stump speeches.

Arina   April 17th, 2008 10:57 am ET

Why? Seems premature.

Dennis   April 17th, 2008 10:55 am ET

The way things are going in these Primaries and with the choices available, I have a tough time voting for any of these candidates. OBAMA and CLINTON (cannot believe anything they say) McCain (good guy but might be a little too old).

Praetorian, Fort Myers   April 17th, 2008 10:55 am ET

Kathleen ..retired gumbaw...

When you pull your head out of the sand–give us a call.

You are clearly a retired "GOVERNMENT" professional....because anybody who has and will depend on free enterprize to provide their salaries and retirement benefits would no better than vote for a socialist.

Ross from Texas   April 17th, 2008 10:50 am ET

I guess this is more like a traditional thing, where the prime minister of our closest allies (the brits) sizes up the candidates. When the leader of another country checks you out, it's not something you take lightly. Come on, CNN, if you're only going to report 2 sentences, why bother?

Martin   April 17th, 2008 10:41 am ET

What I want to see, is a democrat in the white house next year and I believe Hillary will make it happen.

len   April 17th, 2008 10:37 am ET

This is another occasion Hillary can tally up as evidence of her vast international experience.

Kevin, MN   April 17th, 2008 10:37 am ET

thanks for the speech Brad Ward, truely a wasted 45 sec i wish i had back...... how does it relate to the British PM?

Marjon   April 17th, 2008 10:36 am ET

What is Hillary going to meet with Gordon Brown for??? Is she going to tell him her sniper story??

Mike   April 17th, 2008 10:35 am ET

Kaseam,

Senator Clinton is doing quiet well Thank You, you will have egg on your face next Tuesday when she wins your state by a landslide!

I like, respect and support Senator Clinton.

Go Hillary!!!!!!!!!!

Obama supporters are fools to think that Senator Clinton still can't pull this off, simply fools!!

Don't ever underestimate a Clinton.

fedupvoter   April 17th, 2008 10:35 am ET

I hope Hillary doesn't start talking bad about of Obama. She seems to do that everytime and everywhere.

Mike   April 17th, 2008 10:33 am ET

No matter what story it is... Obama supporters go out of their way to bash Clinton... I really fear for our country if this kind of stuff continues to go on... CNN really needs to quit posting all of these negative blogs!!!

The point of the story is one of these three is going to be working with the PM... they all should meet with him.

Bratt   April 17th, 2008 10:33 am ET

I am curious to see how HC will explain her LIE about British PM skipping the opening ceremony in China.. It turns out he had NEVER intended to go there for the opening, only for the closing ceremony..

T   April 17th, 2008 10:28 am ET

Please stop Romney as he wants to destroy social security.

J. Marlow   April 17th, 2008 10:27 am ET

. . Senator Barack Obama should never lower himself to a "debate" with
Hillary Clinton again.

Maggie VT   April 17th, 2008 10:24 am ET

HMMMM!!! I was just reading the HUFFINGTON POST. There is an article about HILLARY CLINTON AND "SCREW EM" comment she made back in 1995. I heard about it this morning on MSNBC when they were asking HAROLD WOLFSON about it. He said it was "ABSOLUTELY FALSE." Wonder whick one is telling the truth??? Think I can guess!!!!!

The public polls say "OBAMA 78 – CLINTON 22" in winning the debate last night.

GO OBAMA GO

Susan MO   April 17th, 2008 10:19 am ET

We are sure he will not be impressed with Obama. Obama answers, but skips around with what he is saying...........avoiding what he should say.

It is most likely people around the world heard about his rude remarks to the people of Pennsylvania.

Ojima Robinson   April 17th, 2008 10:11 am ET

why do we need any more talk, please end this waste of time

frank   April 17th, 2008 10:05 am ET

Why is such a prominence given to the British Prime Minister? We deserve an explanation!

Kaseam Ali, Philly, PA   April 17th, 2008 9:59 am ET

There should only be 2 meetings: 1 with Obama, and the other with McSame. These are the 2 candidates representing their respective parties for President. Hillary is a 3rd wheel, and insignificant because she has no chance of winning.

Brad Ward   April 17th, 2008 9:56 am ET

Well to be honest, I didn't get a chance to see the debate but I really don't care anymore. These people do not represent me. In fact, I'm convinced that they will not represent any of us except for those that are considered "special interest". The same is true for the Republicans. I've been a conservative for all of my life and and I can tell you from experience that both parties are not representing "we the people". That's why we have false choices for President. On one hand we have the socialists, Obama and Hiliary, and on the other hand we have the fascist, McCain. These people will only represent the "special interest" at the expense of "we the people". That's why we've seen all of this turmoil in the last 7+ years including this nonsensical war on terror.

"We the people" need to take our country back from the "special interest". There is no greater "special interest" than that of the people. It's time for a revolution. Of course, I advocate a non-violent revolution but nontheless we need a revolution to save the USA for our children. I want my children to grow up in a country that it is free, healthy, and allows them to compete in a free enterprise. We are quickly losing our country to forces that will ultimately, in my opinion, destroy it. Obama often says "Change you can believe in". So you're saying that you are going to change a nation that is certainly the most powerful nation on earth in terms of prosperity and security. That makes a lot of sense. Well, I have a slogan for you Obama and you're lackeys: "I have not yet begun to fight!" - John Paul Jones

I don't want you to change my great country. I want my country to return to the things that have made it great for so many years now: freedom and free enterprise. I don't need a changer to represent me, I need a challenger to defend against the forces of evil that I think are ruining my country. If you can't handle that task, then I don't need you to represent me.

Kenneth M   April 17th, 2008 9:55 am ET

Chuck, is someone paying you to say this? Obama was Regal last night. He alluded to topics he could talk to if he wanted to get in the mud, but did not. Instead he showed the moderators and Hillary along with the rest of the country that sticking to the topics was the most important thing to the voters. Its like you are trying to put him down for not putting her down. We have seen that to do so only splashes back on the mud slinger. What does he have to say “I’m rubber your glue, what ever you say to me bounce off and ticks back to you?” Just take this debate. Designed to take him down but made ABC look silly.

David Ferdinand, Brooklyn New York   April 17th, 2008 9:54 am ET

Charles Gibson Sucks!!!

Michael Lorton, Virginia   April 17th, 2008 9:39 am ET

I can see the dialog.........and when I win the Presidency; and when I win the Presidency.......note their is only "two" and when I win the Presidency.....one of the candidates has failed to accept the fact that she will not be the Democratic nonimee.

alvin   April 17th, 2008 9:34 am ET

that's pretty !!! he will have a chance to see The american dream !!! we want change and we love Obama !!!

Obama 2008

JC   April 17th, 2008 9:33 am ET

I hope Brown can tell us which one he likes the best.

Glenda   April 17th, 2008 9:32 am ET

The debate last night was a farce. Give me a break. Don’t blame Obama or Clinton for not covering the issues more comprehensively.
The moderators are the culprits here. They are the ones that brought up the Obama statements, Clinton’s ‘misstatements’ on Bosnia, Rev. Walker, etc.
Neither Obama nor Clinton was given any real opportunity to really get their teeth into the actual issues.
Due to the total ineptitude and complete lack of direction and inability of these two dreadful moderators to pose questions that focused on real national concerns we were left with nothing.
Who selected these guys?

SP Ward   April 17th, 2008 9:30 am ET

As a Brit I wish we had a sociaist candidate of the stature of your Dem candidate Barack Obama, whohopefully will be nominated soonand eventually become President. Brown wasnt even elected into office as PM. He succeeded without a mandate from the people into the premiership. A position Tony Blair was forced to stand down from due to the public disgust with his positions on WMDs and Iraq. Now we have the most unpopular PM ever desperately trying to win some approval ratings by rubbing up to potential Presidents in a desperate hope to make himself look more statesmanlike. If the debate last night proves anything it is that we should deal with issues not pr stunts. The media should lend ahand!

Oh my word! We are spreading all that hatefulness to foreign allies as well as within our own country, B.O. and Hills?

Tony Blair   April 17th, 2008 8:53 am ET

I have been spending most of my time in the USA, thus follow the politics. I hope G Brown can spot a president in the making in B Obama. This can be the best ticket to win the war on terror! not with bomb their way to victory but to talk their way there, unlike myself and my friend G bush. I accept the war was wrong and I hope American people will see that and vote for peace not war.

It was amazing to see how the questions were obviously against Obama and how he was able stay above the petiness of the questioners and Hillary. That is why she will be out after the next primary.

James, SC   April 17th, 2008 8:52 am ET

Why doe sJohn McCain need to speak to Prime Minister Brown. Didn't he go to England smooch the PM's backside a few weeks ago?

Poor guy.

robert ga   April 17th, 2008 8:46 am ET

May be HRC can wow him with her Northern ireland exploit. MCCain will out of place , Gordon Brown is a different proposition. He is less likely to panda to America like Blair did. I bet Gordon is looking forward to meeting Obama with a new take on America, it should be an interesting conversation.
The British are coming , the British are coming.!!!!

Oh did Hilary just concede the race to Obama yesterday. (that is another topic).

Odd. Do they know that he can't vote for them right?

This is good news.Britain is a reliable partner in US foreign Policy.i believe all candidates will have something to learn from and something to tell Gordon.
