Obama: Clinton's the one complaining

Obama says Clinton’s criticism is off-base.
Obama says Clinton’s criticism is off-base.

WILLIAMSPORT, Pennsylvania (CNN) - Defending himself against criticism from Hillary Clinton that he's been "complaining about the hard questions he was asked" during Wednesday's debate, Barack Obama said Friday he's not the one who's been griping.

Upon exiting his plane on the tarmac in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, the Illinois senator was asked by a reporter at he thought of Clinton's comments.

"Did you hear me complain?" he responded, adding: "You tell me who's been complaining about the press over the last six months."

Clinton told an interviewer Friday morning that Obama "spent all day (Thursday)" complaining over tough debate queries. "Being asked tough questions in a debate is nothing like the pressures you face inside the White House," she said.

At a previous debate in Ohio, Clinton had criticized the moderators for always asking her the first question and for appearing to favor Obama.

"Maybe we should ask Barack if he's comfortable and needs another pillow," she added then.

Howard Wolfson, communications director for the Clinton campaign, verified the authenticity of the audio. When asked if Clinton's statement suggested dismay over high Democratic turnout and elevated activist energy, Wolfson replied: "I'll let the statement stand as is." But he elaborated on Clinton's charge that these same party activists were

Hillary has been strong in every debate, just go back to the debates, it s a matter of common sense.

On the other hand, Obama has done poorly and that is a clear evidence that when he does not have his outline at hand ( that probably is prepared by his Preacher Mr. Wright) he is "just words" (but unexperienced ones)

Hillary – President of the United States of America

We love you Hillary, words cannot deceive us from the fact that you are the best candidate to lead our nation!

The truth is the second the MSM doesnt treat him as 'the media darling' as evidenced by the debate. Obama will not be able to handle it.

Being conservative ... I can't wait to see Obama get completely torn apart by McCain in every debate ... he'll be forced to attend several, much tougher debates before he'll ever be our President ... he better change his diapers now before that rash gets infected! It's fairly easy to be a great speaker ... that's why Reagan and Clinton were perceived to be SO GREAT ... because they could inspire so eloquently ... they made us WANT to believe them ... so we believed them. But if Hilliary made Obama look bad (which she did ... sorry Obama guys ... nothing was rigged ... the sly old gal simply whipped his little butt!) I can't wait to watch McCain wipe him out!

    woo hoo go Obama

Obama throwing the finger to Hillary? The audience that was there seemed to like it, but as a serious American voter I thought it smacked of Bushiness and was an insult to all of us that are trying to determine who is the best candidate for President of our country. He needs to grow up if wants to be taken seriously.

    Arguing on the internet...how sad.

It really is time to come together. Can any Hillary Clinton supporter please tell me, honestly, how you expect Hillary Clinton to win the nomination for President?
When will you accept the fact that she has lost? when SHE says so? Are youi really that mindless?

What must happen for yuo to realize she can not win. Read the polls, look, at the votes.

We need to change america for the better, but we must do it together.

Obama has been saying this for a long time...stop the divisive, arroganr, attack style nasty politics and lets focus on the issues. Please, for the love of your country and yuor children, you must humble yourself and admit defeat. We'll embrace you!

Obama was right – what a lost opportunity to discuss matters of importance, not the nonsense that the moderators advanced.

Boo-hoo, Hillary. Watch out for that sniper fire!

A question for CNN: Would you have ever made that kind of choice of moderators? Would you have ever chosen that list of questions? In that order?

    Please publish and answer.

Obama's Lies; 1.)I Wrote A Tough Nuclear Bill – LIAR, your bill was rejected by your own party for its pandering and lack of all regulation – mainly because of your Nuclear Donor, Exelon, from which David Axelrod came. 2) I Am Stronger On Foreign Affairs – LIAR, except for Africa (surprise) and the Middle East (bigger surprise), you have never been anywhere else on the planet and thus have NO experience with our closest allies. 3.) I Have Been A Bold Leader In Illinois – LIAR, even your own supporters claim to have not seen BOLD act 4) I Am Tough On Terrorism – LIAR, you missed the Iran Resolution vote on terrorism and your good friend Ali Abunimah supports the destruction of Israel.ion on your part. 5.) I Have Always Supported Universal Health Care – LIAR, your plan leaves us all to pay the 15,000,000 who dont have to buy it.

I posted this a few times before the story was printed in its entirety, but want to be sure the message gets through the flood of comments!!

Please, I beg Obama supporters to hold your tongues on this one. I just got done listening (again) to the I Want Change video, and for those of you who are invested in this campaign on behalf of Obama, remember the words "we are not as divided as our politics suggest". They are reverberating through my mind, particularly now.

If we sink to this level, than we are no better than what he's worked so hard to reject.

We can support Obama (Yes We Can!) without resorting to the politics of divisiveness and cruelty. The man wants to take us to a plane we have yet to reach, but we need to really listen to what he's said to get there.

Senator Clinton will dig her own grave...she needs no help from us!

Obama looked pathetic & weak in PA's debate............not too much like Commander & Chief! Let's see if he'll be able to do it again in Indiana, or NC!

If she's doing so badly why is she projected to win in PA, clearly the voters don't think it's a one man show!

    What about Florida & Michigan!

At the end Clinton will have popular vote!

    Go Hillary Go!

    Countless in Florida

Is she kidding?!?! Who was the one who actually teared up during an interview after losing a primary.... not to mention whining and complaining after Michigan and Florida essentially disqualified themselves from the contest. How much should Obama endure of her "kitchen sink" tactics without defending himself at the risk of being accused of "whining" and getting defensive about it......give me a break......Hillary is desperate and it's obvious she'll lie cheat and steal to win....she and her husband Slick Willie are quite the pair.
