Romney had some sharp words for Obama.
Romney had some sharp words for Obama.

(CNN) — In a sign he's comfortable playing the attack dog for John McCain's presidential campaign, Mitt Romney issued stinging criticisms of Barack Obama Friday, calling the Illinois senator a "quintessential politician."

"He, in the debate, made a number of promises that he cannot possibly deliver — populist approaches that sound good to the public but that are counter to the growth and strength of our economy and the well-being of our nation," Romney, who abandoned his own presidential bid in February, told the National Journal.

In an apparent reference to Obama's recent comments calling some small town Americans "bitter," Romney also said the Democratic presidential candidate has "subscribed fully to the kind of elitist view of America that has long characterized those of the most liberal persuasion in our country."

"So I think what's happening is that people are getting a better sense about Barack Obama," Romney continued. "They didn't know who he was… but now we're getting a better view of Barack Obama as the — not just the liberal, but the political liberal that he is."

Romney was a fierce critic of John McCain when the two were primary rivals, though he has since repeatedly praised McCain and indicated his willingness to serve as the Arizona senator's running mate.

Obama might be whining about this one already. he cannot take the heat from the republicans, he complains about everything. he won't be the media's spoiled baby when confronting the GOP

One more reason why Hillary must be our President.

She is a strong and smart woman who can truly lead our nation towards success!!!

Hillary – President of the United States of America

The only reason McCain is giving you the time a day is because he needs your constituency to help him come close to what the Dems have going for them.

Laurie - Colorado   April 18th, 2008 7:05 pm ET

Excuse me…but Mitt Romney MADE his own money, so what if it is 100 Million or 75,000. He was the best candidate in the race and all this aguement about race and gender what about faith. If he was not a mormon he would be the front runner right now. Better than everyone who wants the government (i.e. those of us that work) to pay their way. Higher taxes, more red tape, more corruption ….vote democrat. How anyone could vote for Billary I will never know. Have you people not read any of the 15 books out there from friends and foes detailing their long list of abuse and totally dishonest behavior….YES including Hillary. Shame on all of you who look the other way

Iowa Erik   April 18th, 2008 7:02 pm ET

hahahahaha. (catches breath) hahahahaha. (catches breath) Mitt who?

Peter   April 18th, 2008 7:01 pm ET

No, Mitt, Barry's not a "quintessential politician." If you don't believe me, just check out the war news from Iraq on January 1, 2010, if Barry wins the presidency. Care to make a small wager that our troops are not all withdrawn even though I specifically recall Obama saying he'd have them out in 2009?

SS   April 18th, 2008 7:01 pm ET

I would say "It takes one to know one" but no one really cares about what Romney thinks. They are more concerned with his fellow rogue sect members of the church he belongs to Latter Day Saints.

Hey all you Romney bashers. Please, please, go to school and learn to spell. At least Mitt can write and speak…which I admit has been missing in D.C for a few years. You don't have to have ANY MONEY to be an elitest and you can have billions, like Warren Buffett and Bill Gates and be down to earth. Obama is OK but his wife is on cloud 39.
No matter. They can both spell….which most of you cannot.

A "quintessential politician" is one who switches between prochoice and prolife, or pro-gay marriage and anti-gay marriage depending on where he is running.
Who takes Romney seriously anyway? What a joke.

First he went after McCain and then followed him around like a lap dog to be his VP.

Now he is after Obama- just think in a month he will be following Obama.

Romney accuses everyone of his own change: First they are all "too liberal" as he supposedly was and then the are pretend conservatives.

Anyway, didn't Romney lose?

Kenny in Canada,
Part of Obama's plan is to pay for the tax cuts he's proposing by cutting out the wasteful, broken programs that Bush put in place.

Obama is not perfert, but no man is.

But the thought of an idiot like McCain, who thinks that America has made great economic progress under Bush, but at the same time some Americans are dealing with difficult economic times (moron); and the lies and deceit and scandals that follow the Clintons everywhere they go – is just too much to bare.

How can anyone not see that Obama is the best choice.

Try top one tenth of one percent. To be in the top 10% you only need to make $100,000 a year or so. Seriously.

People who make millions of dollars a year are a very small minority, and a tight-knit group as well.

Ann   April 18th, 2008 6:50 pm ET

Forget it Obama supporters. The guy may win the Democrat nomination because he fooled you. Even if Hillary says all democrats will get united to support the nominee, this will not happen if Obama is the one. The type of bullying promoted by Obama and his dogs on Hillary supporters will not be forgotten. And this bullying style emerges from elitism.. he feels entitled to be handed the nomination and the presidency and he is mocking everybody and everything. Including ordinary Americans.

slim   April 18th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

democrats really screwed this one up. obama only is where he is because voters just wanted someone who they perceive not to be a part of the establishment, but in the meantime they chose the most unexperienced and unknowledgeable candidate. If the demorats primary process wasn't such a convoluted joke and disgrace and patterned more like the general election and the republican's primary, this race would be long long long over. Senator Clinton would have won in a landslide. New York, California, New Jersey, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Ohio, and now Pennsylvania. I am very surprised at the biased reporting from CNN and other media outlets. Obviously pro-Obama. Keep fighting Hillary. It's the dems only hope. Obama loses to McCain at least by 15%.

It isn't money that makes Obama elitist, its the fact that he believes that he is one of a very few who understand what's "really" good for us and we would too, if we just weren't so stupid.

By the way, to IL voter, Tedy and Vick, before you call someone a "looser" perhaps you should learn that the word is spelled LOSER. It really looks pathetic to call someone a loser and mispell it.

LOL Hillary and Bill's heads are about to explode because the upstart derailed Bill's unofficial "third term" (or did you all really think Hillary was going to be in charge? Hahahaha); John McCain married to the Billion Dollar Beer Babe was all about a clean campaign and is now quaking in his depends, wagging the finger of hypocrisy over "reckless dishonesty" but gives a shoutout to Hamas on Barack's behalf; and now this elitest Hair Club for Men reject is putting in his two cents as well. What's next? Trotting out the family pets to attack Sen. Obama's picture? LOL

k   April 18th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

I think Romney hit the nail on the head. No one really knew who or what Obama was about…but now all his skeletons and hidden prejudices (racism is a strong word) are coming out.

Romney bit his business up and doesn't apologize for his money. Obama tries to deflect and act so disenfranchised. Obama has hidden agenda's. If Obama is such a great leader or could be then why hasn't he done anything..really.

He only claims certain family members when it is convenient. He only claims certain race when it is convenient. His own wife's thesis has been sealed due to some potentially racist ideas.

Obama is definitely another elitest politician. At least HRC doesn't deny that she and her spouse work hard came up through the ranks and did great for themselves. What is even funnier is that Her Taxes have been released for almost a month and they still haven't found any thing to "ding" her or bill on.

Obama is ill prepared, stumbles on his words, is never specific about any of his plans. He lacks all the details and then claims he is a better candidate..hmmmm? makes me think….

Tom   April 18th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

Just in case my longer discussion doesn't make it, here's the short version: I thought obamakins were supposed to be positive and focused on making us all as one, not acting like their "teenager in a suit" candidate. Teenager because he's arrogant, knows very little but talks like he does, can't take constructive criticism without becoming angry and sarcastic, is prone to childish behaviors and has delusions of grandeur. Sounds like a teenager to me.

So…..what I really wanted to say is – Please learn to spell. How the heck are we supposed to take you seriously when you call "Rommney" (that would be Romney – it's right at the top of the article, just copy and paste if you need to) a "looser" (no, that would be your mouth and probably your pants) and a quiter (I'm not really sure what that is but "quiters never win" is pretty amusing – I may have to get my first bumper sticker that says "Obama supporters say Quiters never win!!"). I'm guessing here but did you mean to intimate that, in your opinion, he's a loser and a quitter? That's amusing. You and I are typing in a blog about whether a multimillionaire is a loser and a quitter.

Sharon Olds   April 18th, 2008 6:35 pm ET

OMG! this is exactly how bad it is going to look when Hillary (if she does) starts to support Obama against McCain. I hope this is a lesson for the Dems – Once Obama gets the nomination, all his character abusers need to just QUIETLY vote for him.

Cliff Brown   April 18th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

Romney, who personally put ten of millions of dollars of his own money into his presidential coffers is calling Obama "elitist?" This mult-millionaire, who far, far wealthier than even Obama (who himself probably qualifies to be in the top 10% income bracket nationally) could not possibly know what ordinary Americans endure, economically.

Obama's looking down on America while Romney is still trying to figure out who let the dogs out.

Have you noticed your commentaries dealing with Hillary get next to zero comments.

McCain doesn't get many responses unless the commentary has something to do with Obama.

This crowd loves Obama and I think you will see that reflected on Tuesday in PA.

Go Obama!

Cyndi   April 18th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

That's hysterical, coming from Romney. I think Obama should take this as a compliment, it seems the Republicans usual corrupt talking heads are scared of him.

Romney is a clueless epitome of millionaires politicians who believe same old politics should be the standard.

Ben, KY   April 18th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

An elitist is someone who hawks war, and has FIVE sons who've never served their country. Got that Mitt, go back to your caviar, and leave this race to someone who hasn't been in an ivory tower all his life.

Don't stick your head out, unless you're ready to play with the big boys.

Bernice   April 18th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

He's right we are getting a better picture of who Obama is and being inspired to hope more and more!

as for Mitt's statement Of Obama's policies, he needs to tell that to all the highly qualified leaders that have endorsed Barack Obama too include those that have left Clinton.

"He, in the debate, made a number of promises that he cannot possibly deliver — populist approaches that sound good to the public but that are counter to the growth and strength of our economy and the well-being of our nation," Romney, who abandoned his own presidential bid in February,

Mitt, the fact that you had to abandoned your bid does little to qualify you to criticize Obama. You are hoping for the office of Vice.

Your fellow republicans set -up of that Mormon compound as a means of dealing with you should be your biggest worry! Those that strongly insisted you not even be considered for Vice are doing a pretty good job to ensure you don't. Spend your time on that issue.

noemi in los angeles   April 18th, 2008 6:21 pm ET

Kenny in Canada,
Obama has spelled out a game plan regarding taxes and Iraq. If you check the recent debates, his web-site, or listened to any number of times that the man has been on the new you wouldn't be asking this question.
'Mitt Romney, McCain, and Clinton can shove the silver spoons that they were born with…let me stop.

Unshrub   April 18th, 2008 6:20 pm ET

Which side of the mouth is he talking with this time? Mitt has more view points then the View. What a self righteous bag of wind Mitt has become and who is a bigger elitist then Mitt.

Sean   April 18th, 2008 6:20 pm ET

Wow the Billionaire called Obama an elitist. The guy who funded his campaign with his daddies trust fund called Obama an elitst. Who still listens to this fool anywa? His campaign was almost as pathetic as Guiliani's, but hey at least he had the sense to quit when he knew he was beatin.

Dennis   April 18th, 2008 6:20 pm ET

That's got to be the biggest joke of the campaign. Come on quitter, why don't you go away and go get another $30 haircut and have some water with a lemon slice! Memo to all wealthy republicans…trying to hang the elitist label on Obama is not going to work! We ain't buying it. He makes much less than all of you. That's like saying spud webb was one of the greatest guards during michael jordan's time…lol

Charles   April 18th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

A couple things are happening. First, Hilary Clinton supporters are starting to see the end of the tunnel and are really, really starting to lose their prospective. Second, republicans think all you have to do is have an (R) next to their name and they can accuse a democrat of being an elitist. That is the ONLY WAY Rommey calling Obama an eltisit makes sense. If I were a republican strategists I would start getting nervous because they are really underestimating the mental capacity of the America people. They need to throw away the elitist thing and play the Reverend Wright, angry black man card from now to November and pray for the best, and hope America's fears and demons can put McCain into the White House against 85 percent of America's best interest.

tren   April 18th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

No one shakes a tree unless it has some fruit on it. There is a reason why they are targeting Obama negatively. GOP and Clinton are afraid of this movement of change and are trying to stop it. We can't let that happen!!

Elite: A small, privileged and often powerful group, the best or superior member of a society or group. Let me see, who truly fits this description.

Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Chelse Clinton, John McCain (because of his wife), Mrs McCain, Mitt Romney, The Bush Family, The Kennedy Family, Bill Gates, Jimmy Carter, CEO's of large corporations, Anyone born with a spoon in their mouth, … these are elitists.
Lets take a look at Obama, born to a poor family, struggled most his life and worked very hard to get where he is. Yes he made a few million this year, but how did he earn it. This man is no more an Elitist
then the man standing on the corner selling news papers. He was just in the right place at the right time, wrote a few books, and worked real hard to make something of his life.
So get off it will you, and lets talk about some real issues.

julie   April 18th, 2008 6:14 pm ET

If Obama thinks being out of work and losing your homes makes one bitter and gets labled as an elitest, what possibly could Hillary be labled she mistook a young girl giving her flowers in Bosnia for gunfire.

Noans, South Pasadena   April 18th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

Hey Mitt,

Why not use some of your millions to help those 400 plus children of your brothers and sisters removed from the Moron compound in Texas? They need help and why not put your money where your mouth is? Your sons didn't enlist to help fight in Iraq but maybe now you can help these abused children. Obama an elitist? You're kidding, right?

RE: Michelle from South Park, Colorado   April 18th, 2008 6:13 pm ET

"I was just coming to the realization that if Hillary loses, a lot of people are going to defect their democratic vote to McCain because Obama is a blip on the radar. But if Obama loses, you'll be able to hear a pin drop. He has a big megaphone with nothing behind it. No one will even care."

Hehe, are you a bitter Clinton supporter or an elitist under sniper fire? Obama inspires people; Clinton repulses all those who can think about substantive issues. Inspiration is the catalyst of WORK.

For the first time in over a decade, Americans have the chance to change the direction our country is headed. So you must realize that many people will vote for McSame or other candidates if Obama (the democratic delegate leader) is not the nominee. Now guess which party gets ANOTHER FOUR YEARS to destroy America, Iraq, etc?

Obligatory: Obama '08.

Marc Tacoma Wash   April 18th, 2008 6:12 pm ET

All he did was tell the truth. You can try all you want, but in the long run, the people do not want 4 more years of the Republican in the White House. Obama has a better plan on dealing with the issues and McCain doesn't even know how to handle the economy. Didn't McCain say that you are not ready to be the President Mitt Dummy? Go meet up with Hillary. You two can go sing the blues.

Clinton campaigning for 2012????

Yes. It is the only logic behind her and Bill's behavior. Their strategy is simply to precipitate the destruction of the Democratic Party and shanghai Obama's chance of becoming the first non-white-male president of the US.

This way, after four years of John McCain, the country will be craving for someone else – other than from the mainstream parties; someone they think they can rely on to make things better.

Up steps Madam Hillary to fill the void. Obama's had his chance 4 years earlier. She then becomes the first to breach our two-party system; first non-white-male; first female; and first former-lady to become president. Trust me; she puts her place in history far ahead of the interests of the Democrat Party and thoset of our country.

It is a joke   April 18th, 2008 6:11 pm ET

It is really funny. Why are these rich people (Clinton, McCain, and Romney) so generous now? They all want to take the "elitist" labels from themselves and give them to Obama who was raised by a single mom? Would the labels stick?

There was this young man in my village – he's from a poor family. He has always been a good student. After he finished University, he came back to the village to visit his childhood friends – he became what could be termed as Elitist. He talked down to his childhood friends, who still are struggingly working at low paying wages. You don't have to rich to be an elitist and you don't have to be White to be a racist.

Neither Clinton or Obama can do anything without raising taxes, nor can John McCain unless he wants to continue borrowing from the Chinese and the Saudis. Obama has called for reducing taxes on income below $75,000, restoring taxes on the rich. He is the only one who is honest in that regard, another reason for supporting him.

BG   April 18th, 2008 6:06 pm ET

What's original is hearing the same old rhetoric and the democrats using the same old terms they've used for the past 50 years, "silver spoon", wealthy don't pay enough taxes, etc. A little home work about our tax structure and who really pays the bills might enlighten many of our liberals. But then again, probably not, because most liberals have a cork in one end and a megaphone at the other. They'd rather raise taxes and continue to support our second and third generation welfare recipients.

Instead of simply regurgitating all of the anti-Wright criticisms about Wright being anti-American, take a real look at his entire sermons, instead of taking his words out of context. Romney is on point that Americans are finally seeing who Obama is. The media protected him for a long time and now, finally, we are seeing how much dirt there was to hide. The more we hear, the worse BO looks. When he has to answer questions and can't present his speeches of rhetoric and slogans, he fails. He was extremely uncomfortable in the last debate. Well, Barack, how do you like it now?
The Democrats should have this election but if they run Obama, McCain is the winner. I am a Democrat who will vote against Obama if he is the nominee.

A.J.   April 18th, 2008 6:00 pm ET

Rather than call Mr. Obama a "quintessential politician" we suggest that a better adjetive will be " THE GREAT IMPOSTOR " and here is our challenge; ( no matter who becomes our president ) " We project that a person making $ 18.000 .- during January 2009 will be making no more than $ 21.000.- during January 2003, those who do not have health insurance in January 2009 will remain " without it " in January 2003 and the level of military presence in Iraq during January 2009 will be just about the same in January 2003.

MARIETTA,GA   April 18th, 2008 5:59 pm ET

we know who the elitist in this society are, when you asked them questions they say things, like none of your business,or we can talk about that at another time or get angry and scold their questioner like mccain did on a certain airplane ride, the elitist say how dare you to question my authority.

Steve from FL   April 18th, 2008 5:59 pm ET

Mitt freakin' Romney is calling Obama an elitist? Are you kidding me?

Richard   April 18th, 2008 5:59 pm ET

Most people seem to think that having lots of money automatically makes you elitist. That's not really fair now is it? Elitist points to how you behave not on how much money you make. Ergo, saying that Obama is not elitist because of his upbringing is a weak argument, as well as saying Romney is elitist because he made 30some million dollars. If you think about it, there are lots of people going from poverty to being rich that are extremely elitist.

Romney, with all due respect, don't get your mittens dirty supporting John McCain because he is what you've already said he's not. Support Obama.

Hillary Skank on myspace   April 18th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

Um, Mitt, you get your credibility from where? You called on Huck to drop out of the race, then he still outlasted you. You lost your voice does not count. Go back and gel your hair.

Dick in Sioux Falls   April 18th, 2008 5:57 pm ET

I challenge the computer or whoever often tells me that I have already said something, which is really not true, except for a word or two. I fear the misleading questioning of Stephanopoulis and Gibson, the hatchet job column by Pat Buchanan, and the vicious attacks of Clinton will lead to a 20 point win in Pennsylvania by Clinton. I pray otherwise, but have little confidence in the ability of the average American to see through Hillary, like those who have known her best during the Clinton years.

Peter in CA   April 18th, 2008 5:56 pm ET

A true 'elitist' is one who feels his sons are above serving in our military. Now that they are not 'needed' on the campaign trail, why are Mitt's boys not signing up?

Kenny - Canada   April 18th, 2008 5:55 pm ET

In all fairness, most of us want to see Obama win (myself included) , but it's about time someone starts asking the hard questions.

How does Obama intent to, NOT only keep taxes the same, but lower them knowing the economic crisis the US is facing?

The only viable solutions I can see are pulling out of Iraq quickly and use the money towards your economy. The other would be to borrow more money from countries like China.

This is in no way criticizingObama, but I would like a game plan and I don't even live in the US. Wouldn't you?

OBAMA, 08

Mitt,

No matter what you say it is not going to increase your chances for becoming McCain's VP. You are such a wishy-washy flip-flopping person. One second you are bashing someone and the next second you are sucking up to the same person you were bashing. You are an opportunist and you are just looking out for your own self interests. Personally, I hope John McCain does choose you as his VP, because that would definitely put Barack Obama in the white house.

Obama/Edwards 2008!

You Obama-bots are blinded by the light you think he emits. His of his endorsers, I'm sure glad Hillary does not have. The latest is Hamas. All Obama needs now is Muqtada al-Sadr, and Al Qaeda. Let me see if I understand this: Mitt Romney is calling Obama "elitist"? Well that takes all!

Here's my take: I'll take Obama's style of elitism anyday over what the hole the Republicans have put us in over the last 8 years!

If I remember correctly – it was this kind of moron campain politics that gave us the other moron called Bush in the first place!

Good try Romney. I'm not biting.

You have gotta be kidding me. These guys should find somebody who works for living if they want to attack Obama for being elitist and send out a statement to the press:

"subscribed fully to the kind of elitist view of America that has long characterized those of the most liberal persuasion in our country."

Subscribe fully? What a joke. Between that and the "recklessly dishonest" crap from the McCain campaign, I'm starting to have hope that we might get a President who gets what real Americans need. And that's not Mr. Gazillionaire Romney or Married-To Gazillionaire McCain.

David in Illinois   April 18th, 2008 5:47 pm ET

Romney's an even bigger elitist than Hillary. Since he was shown the door very quickly by the voters, I guess he's taken on the pitiful job of being McCain's lackey and attack dog.
The voters made a very wise decision regarding his candidacy. Now McCain should repudiate this hate-filled rhetoric immediately.

Rory   April 18th, 2008 5:46 pm ET

Wow. I thought Romney was the elitist super-rich one…

...from Phoenixville, PA   April 18th, 2008 5:46 pm ET

I think it's clear that Romney is an opportunist who will say anything in an attempt to stay relevant. That's a shame, and Americans will see right through it regardless of their political affiliation.

I am an Obama supporter, but I deeply respect Sen. McCain's many years of service. Do I think Obama is the answer to all of America's problems? Of course not. But Sen. Obama has a 12+ year track record of reaching across the aisle, even when it's not politically popular, to do the right thing. Search on his successes in Illinois as well as in the US Senate and the proof is there. Couple that with his foreign, health, and trade policy stances, and I feel he is pinpointing the right direction for our country's future.

Perhaps that's the reason Sen. Obama counts retired generals and Republican leaders among his supporters, and his campaign continues to roll with the financial support of working families.

It's time for an approach to leadership that fulfills America's promise here and abroad. Our kids deserve no less.

- From Phoenixville, PA

Patricia   April 18th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

I'm surprised when the press even bothers to report negative comments about Obama. Oh, that's right. They've been running interference for him for more than a year now — I guess it's safe to let a negative comment through every once in a while. If Obama the Walking Disaster becomes president, I will place the blame squarely where it belongs: at the feet of the adoring press who forced this nomination down the country's collective throat.

Oscar, Rio Vista, CA   April 18th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! Romney is one big joke.

I wonder if his sons have enlisted for the army yet. Wasn't the excuse that they were being patriotic by running around in their bus helping get their dad elected. Perhaps the real Mr. Elitist should just shut up.

John Boy   April 18th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

Take off the quitter's hat and since you wanna talk I notice you're not wearing a flag pin! Guess that makes you un patriotic too!

Sen. Obama is a far better presidential candidate than McBush McSame McLame McCain!
It would be wise not to try and attack Sen. Obama where as he hasn't attacked Hillary because they are on the same party he will put the attack on McCain!

Theresa   April 18th, 2008 5:45 pm ET

Romney might want to stay out of the spotlight or he just may be bombarded with questions about the mormon spin off sect that's all over the news.

How many wives do you believe it takes to get into heaven, Mitt?

Patrick   April 18th, 2008 5:44 pm ET

Mitt who?

Neil K, Lake Forest CA   April 18th, 2008 5:44 pm ET

Really, Mitt? You're the guy who spent $60 million *of his own money* on a failed campaign to get himself elected, and you're calling someone else elitist? Pardon the pun, but that's rich.

Again, ANYONE who is in position to run for President of the United States is by definition a member of the elite. Next to referring to the other candidates as "politicians", the tag of "elite" has to be the most toothless charge anyone can level. In a word, "Duh."

Anyone who thinks differently probably voted for the current President because they were delusional enough to believe that a good measuring stick for a leader was whether or not they could "have a beer with him." As if President Bush would open the door to the White House for them himself and hand them a cold beer.

Last time I checked, MA wasn't exactly the most affordable state to live in and didn't you govern that state? Get real, Mitt!

Oh Mittens   April 18th, 2008 5:35 pm ET

So Mittens comes out calling Obama an elitist? Honestly, we're supposed to believe this coming from a multi millionaire who basically bank rolled his entire failing run at the presidency? This has to be a joke right? Romney was bourne with a silver spoon up his arse. He didn't grow up with a single mom working hard to make ends meet. Same old Bush tactics, I'm glad to see Romney is so un-original. Oh Mittens.

Romney is as real as his hair!

Adam, Plano, TX   April 18th, 2008 5:34 pm ET

sorry Romney, but you are the epitome of elitism.

DJ, LA, CA   April 18th, 2008 5:33 pm ET

Funny coming from you Mitt and your $30 mil. salary. Calling the kettle black like you did when you attacked McCain about immigration, while illegal immigrants worked on your own house. Hypocrite

Over It in Indiana   April 18th, 2008 5:33 pm ET

Romney is a putz. Loser held out as presedential candiadate for what, 5 or 6 minutes, before he caved. This guy is a major flip-flopper on the issues. He is irrelevant.

I'll be sure to take notes from a quitter.
