From

(CNN) – Hillary Clinton’s campaign accused surrogates for Barack Obama of resurrecting her controversial comments over Bosnian sniper fire Saturday.

"One of the inherent duties of the president of the United States is to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Memorial Day,” said Gen. Walter Stewart on an Obama campaign conference call on the issue of Bosnia — remarks circulated by the Clinton campaign Saturday afternoon.

“Now we can assume, and let's keep in mind that Senator Clinton has said she was under sniper fire, or she joked about, which to me was the cruelest part of all this, she joked about it with Jay Leno. … Imagine the lack of moral authority she has now to lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Memorial Day.”

Clinton had faced criticism for claiming that her plane landed under sniper fire during a trip to Bosnia she made as First Lady.

The Clinton campaign pointed to Obama’s statement at Wednesday night’s debate that his campaign only commented on the Bosnia incident when asked. "When it comes to negative campaign tactics, Senator Obama has been a hypocrite from day one, decrying attack politics from one side of his mouth while he and his campaign wage a character assassination effort from the other,” said Clinton spokesman Phil Singer. “The juxtaposition of Senator Obama’s comments in the debate and the remarks made on his campaign conference call this afternoon prove the point."

Hillary stop the whining whining otherwise you will make people believe Bill is a liar. You should be happy since you are in your elements in the kitchen sink. The next President of the United States has been vetted by you. Dont you ever dare calling our President an hypocrite.
"The Clinton campaign pointed to Obama’s statement at Wednesday night’s debate that his campaign only commented on the Bosnia incident when asked."

This was yesterday. It took him quite some times to realize you will never understand being treated with fair play and courtesy. He reluctantly decided for once to get to your level. You have been a great teacher.

Don't worry he won't be able to stay too long at this level.

So true   April 19th, 2008 11:32 pm ET

The media seems afraid to mention and report the disconnect between Obama's words and his actions.

He doesn't want the old politics- but he sure played the race card early in the campaign to ensure that no one would ever DARE to criticize or question him.

The uniter that divided.

Bragging that he would be able to bring back the Hillary democrats- when clearly he can't and won't.

The honest politician that is a more polished and skilled liar than any other candidate. Always shaping and reshaping his words to suit his purposes and to blunt any scrutiny. This trick- being able to be what people needed/wanted him to be, depending on the circumstances- is described in his book.

The crying foul- unfair, I'm the victim… while in reality he is the one going negative and running smear ads and getting digs in.

Hypocritically criticizing others for pandering to voters- when he is the one doing rock concerts, bowling, drinking beer, playing basketball etc etc. He is the one that will do ANYthing to buy a vote.

This man is insincere. He does not know HOW to be genuine. He has spent his whole life manipulating people as he juggled personas in his struggle to fit in.

Marie   April 19th, 2008 11:31 pm ET

Okay Im shocked Obama must be really deperate to keep coming up with these comments about hillary yet his hands are not cleaned with his so called ex pastor and ex friend/ employer who is in federal prison …first he said he didnt hear the sermon and then he did and was in shock. and last tuesday he said he didnt hear hear the sermon..OMG make up your mind Obama
once again….he is a liar and uncover muslim.. a friend of a man who hates whites and blames the United States for the worlds problems and he said we deserved 911… the guy is crazy and if you vote for obama you vote for what his so called ex pastor and obama beleives or he wouldnt still go to that church the pastor who is there now said he didnt like how everyone teamed up on wright when his views are the truth..why isnt anyone including CNN telling everyone Obama pastor beleives in what the ex pastor believes in ……Instead of sugar coating it you should let the truth be known …maybe we dont want hillary well what is better a man having a idenity crisis in america pushed by muslims to succee and saying they will celebrate in the streets if obama is selected ..hmmmmmm what is that about ..Think……and even his wife didnt feel like a real american ..you see the pattern here compared to someone who had to tackle the real world head on and fight to do what was right like Hillary…I may be wasting my breath but if your voting for Obama ..It just proved you gave us 8 years of Bush as well….Good luck
cnn you guys are so full of hatred for hillary that you can not even see what mistakes your making hard on her but not him ..if this doesnt get on that just seals the deal for me…..Best Regards

She and they must be smoking something? Hillary said during the last so-called debate she knew she lied before and during her words and story. Remember (Yes, Yes, Yes) after saying and telling superdelegates No Barack can't WIN the General Election or take Senator McCain.

rebecca   April 19th, 2008 11:24 pm ET

How is bringing up the Bosnia sniper comment attacking Clinton's character? She's the one who said it in the first place. She's the one who LIED about it in the first place. She should feel ashamed of this blatant lie and her disrespect of our armed forces who put themselves in harm's way everyday. It is almost as if she is mocking our armed forces, hence the general's comment that she is not fit to lay the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Memorial Day. She is not taking this election seriously and she will not take this office seriously, as evidenced by her joking on Jay Leno. I want a serious president who is serious about change and the needs of the American people. I want Barack Obama as my commander in chief! He won my respect a long long time ago.

She has been negative since the surprising lose in IA. She and her puppets keep bringing up the same crap and Obama is finally fighting back which I don't think he needs to do at all. She and her campaign, (don't forget Billary) have self distructed as time has went on. Her and McBush would make a good ticket along with the turn-goat Lieberman. They are already putting a spin on PA. because they were outspent. She may win PA., but it won't be by much. Hillary you are destroying the Democratic party. Get out and support the winner (Obama)… It would seem to me like people in the U.S. would be sick of the same old Washington spin. Why not try something new. Get a clue voters……. Somebody new, young and with new ideals… Didn't see him whimpering after any of the primaries or caucauses. Get out while the getting is good Hill and you can save some sort of face in all the lies and deceit you and your morons have spread…. Go Obama

Chris in Texas   April 19th, 2008 11:14 pm ET

Didn't she and Bill complain about the boys picking on her just a few months back? Get her down the road as the worse female ever to run a national campaign,in this countrys history.
Next she'll run as John Mcwar's bipartisian campaign vice president shortly thereafter she'll tell the citizens of this nation Obama is a communist plant, an illegal alien, and a vietnam war dodger.

George Z   April 19th, 2008 11:12 pm ET

Obama’s logic was that if there was anything he did wrong it was because politics was a game, his opponents tried to tear him down, and they were doing the same things (there were no prefect men). Personally, he was always better than every body else. When Obama was accusing his opponents he would make himself like a saint.
It was always other people should be blamed for whatever wrongs he did and he would mock whoever pointed out his wrongdoings.

I always wonder why some young Americans are as crazy to Obama as to rock stars. I saw this kind fanaticism to political leaders in some other countries but never here. It may not be a good thing for people to look political leaders as rock stars.

Jeff   April 19th, 2008 11:12 pm ET

I've been saying it all along. I signed up to Obama's web site and while he spoke of hope, positive change and politics NOT as usual, his campaign was being misleading, negative, and offering up politics as usual. The hypocracy was too much for me. Bill Clinton was right early on when he called the Obama campaign a fairy tale. I became a Democrat after the 2000 election was stolen, but if Obama wins I will vote for McCain or not at all.

Markus   April 19th, 2008 11:12 pm ET

Hillary, you are not fooling anyone. Everyone can see difference between your attacks and Obama's. You insult our intelligence with your whining.

Obama simply shines a spotlight on the fact that you LIED.

If you don't like it, then simple… quit LYING.

Illuminating the fact that you LIED to voters is NOT the same as SMEARING you in the way you have done to him like a REPUBLICAN.

Daniel   April 19th, 2008 11:12 pm ET

And to joke about it IS MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE.

Wow. I'm glad Senator Clinton's not accusing Barack for the exact thing she's doing….I used to support her, and now I can't stand her. She is honestly unbelievable.

And what's with this stupid stuff about some democrats threatening to vote for McCain if Barack/Hillary doesn't get the nomination? Even if she gets it, I'd still vote for her. You have to realize anything is better than 4 to 8 more years of Bush. Come on!

If you pay attention to the candor of the clinton campaigns recent attacks on obama then you'd see that there in total desperation. Hillary has done nothing but lie the entire nomination process, and since obama has run a clean campaign she can only take her negatives and make them look like obama is negative for exposing them. I've never seen a politician try to benefit off of there own mistakes, but the clintons are masters at it.

Peg   April 19th, 2008 11:05 pm ET

Hillary's campaign has it wrong. He is no hypocrite! What Obama said in the debate (and admitted to) was that HE did not participate in negative campaign attacks (himself), but acknowledged his surrogates did. He was very transparent about it.

And am I to believe that the Hillary campaign surrogates don't!! HA HA HA What a big joke.

The real tragedy here is her lack of seriousness in this situation. Even when she was lying, she was smiling, like it was an amusing situation she was in with her daughter. I couldn't believe it. Guess when you're a pathological liar, the stories take on an amusing tone.

Linda of Atlanta   April 19th, 2008 11:04 pm ET

I thought Hillary didn't whine! Obama should slam her lies at every opportunity. She is proud of her attacks on him. She says attacking is just being a fighter and that is the only way to win! So what's up with her trying to switch off any effort of his campaign to enter "the kitchen" where she has been from day one?
She has not been fully vetted. The mainstream press has not reported her 1992 tirade in which she said "screw em" , referring to southern blue collar Democrats. Should PA blue collar voters think she doesn't want to screw them too?
Clinton has serious character issues and she has successfully hidden them by historically claiming that there was a "vast right wing conspiracy", or now by claiming that Obama is dishonest every time his campaign points out her lies, and her apparent willingness to say anything or do anything to get what she wants.
A Hillary Clinton Presidency will paralyze economic or any other progress for America becasue she will be mired down by her lies and slash and burn operating style. People should not forget that she will be our representative to the world, and I suspect the world doesn't trust her anymore than we do (58 percent of Americans don't think she is honest). PA, PLEASE SEND THIS WOWAM HOME WITH A RESOUNDING DEFEAT! It is a matter of National Security!

The source of the quote which follows the general's comment is unclear… Who is saying that Clinton joked with Leno about her Bosnia "mis-statement"? And what does that have to do with laying a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns? This doesn't even appear to be a "news" story; just more stirring the pot… But who is doing the stirring?

TRUTH, JOKE, OR LIES?   April 19th, 2008 11:02 pm ET

The power to protect the history of the First Lady was in Mrs. Clintons hands when she spoke about sniper fire in Bosnia. Can Mrs. Clinton unite the DNC Party today? Do America need time to heal? Our Military need the truth. America will walk with truth!

Lee   April 19th, 2008 11:00 pm ET

I think Obama offers a fresh perspective and an idealism that is needed among politicians. Senator Clinton consistently confirms her willingness to do whatever it takes to win. Also, she trivializes blatant lies, Bosnia being her latest.

Clinton is the hypocrit. How can Hillary fix her mouth to say Obama is negative. Clinton drips with disdain. That's her character and that's all she knows. Senator Clinton has rode the senior to Obama senator thingy and former first lady stuff enough – I and many others do not want her to be president …. she is out of touch, an insider elitist (too close to the center versus out-side of the box progressive). Former Clinton administration folks (and I'm not talking about Richardson) don't even support her (b/c they want a clean slate of fresh ideas and change too) …. Senator Clinton, please, get out of this race and support some real change and hope for this country w/ Barack Obama – enough of this nonsense of detracting from real campaiging. Yours is not the cause we want – we want "turn the corner" change – a whole generation wants what you had a chance to work on "40 years ago". Accept that spirit and recognize that we want Senator Obama to lead us in these times.

He had so many opportunities to go after you, but he took the high ground! She's ready for petty, trivial nonsense on day one. She wants to be president but she's as far from being presidential as any human being could be. She's run a campaign into the ground, alienated her staff, run out of money and blown huge leads while detroying the Democratic Party. She is awful.

At least Hillary fessed up and answered for the Bosnia gaffe in the latest debate. I give her credit for apologizing. Obama wiggled out of answering all the tough questions. If he cannot handle the pressure of a debate, how can we expect him to handle the pressure of the presidency?

It might even be a ticket that could beat Obama…if Americans are brain dead. They both unapologetically parrot this same crap about Obama being an elitist. These are two people whose family wealth is over $100,000,000.

Please elect McCain so I can keep my tax breaks or Hillary so I can invest in some multinational corporation that has financial activities in our great ally in South America, Colombia. I will do okay, thank you. But can most of you in the heartland of America, particularly Pennsylvania, afford to give away the money to live on so that McCain's wife or Hillary's husband make obscene profit?

If you elect either Clinton or McCain I will have no trouble justifying my

i guess obama must be stinking up his own camp.
for them to reach this low?

does obama think for a fleeting moment that his lie which bears great consequences to this nation is even on the same PLANET with what Clinton said about Bosnia?

obviously, obama is fully aware of the shameful way he perforemd the other night and now he's reaching at gossip and straws?

is this something a President would hold onto and continue, or should we begin listing his lies from AYERS, TO THE $250,000 HE GOT from Rezko, to the lie he told about his parents came together as a result of Selma when he was actually born 4 years before Selma?

should we dredge up the fact he lied tht he was a Law Professor but turned out to be a lecturer, or should we remember that he said he didnt know about the Reverend but April 30, 2007 article at nytimes.com clearly says he was interviewed more than a year ago about these very same remarks?

where do we start with Mr. Obama's consequences-lies

maybe he would like to explain that questionnaire again that he did not know about but just happens to hve his personal handwriting all over it?

does this guy know how to pick his fights?
he comes to gunfight armed with a grin and a speech?

heardit already   April 19th, 2008 10:38 pm ET

Wouldn't it be amazing if they would just talk about themselves and not each other 24/7. Last time i checked it was the pres race, not a race to see who can slander the most before nov. Shut up or get on celeb boxing already.

fred   April 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

Hillary is 100% correct.

Obama is as dirty as they get. He is a evil, evil man!!

Michael   April 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

Wait…

Who called whom a hypocrite?

Whatever else is said and done, at least this presidential campaign keeps being good for a laugh.

Tim Rivers   April 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

What part of the fact that MANY people find it offensive that she can lie to the nation – REPEATEDLY – and then, when caught with her hand in the cookie jar, she makes jokes about it…Ha ha ha…I lied to everyone…Isn't that funny???

NEXT!

Go Obama!

Jazzie   April 19th, 2008 10:37 pm ET

Hillary Clinton is the 'hypocrite from day one' how is it that you circulated negative campaign tactics and then when the tables are turned on her she can't handle it so like she said if you can't take the heat then get out the kitchen so Hillary get out the race because if you don't you will feel the wrath of GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he don't like ugly.

craig kasnoff   April 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

The level of Hillary's personal attacks on Obama has gone beyond any level of acceptable politics or common dencency.

I can't even imagine what Bill has to deal with on a daily basis having her for a wife.

She is just a mean spirited person. Period.

lenny   April 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

hillary clinton will win big on 22nd this week go on and win next nc hit big say anything want thats hillary .

Nazi Party for Obama   April 19th, 2008 10:36 pm ET

The NAZI PARTY and the FOURTH REICH endorses OBAMA today. Along with HAMAS of the middle east the FOURTH REICH today voted to endorse Obama. They claim he is the most likely candidate that can destroy America. He is so good at, deceiving, lieing and being able to take U.S. welfare money to spend on his campaign. What could be better than to have the U.S. taxes go to pay for his campaign. He will not wear the U.S. Flag; will not salute the U.S. Flag and turns his back to it when it is raised. The Nazi party feels he is a perfect candidate for the U.S. and to the benefit of their rising party.

Ron R   April 19th, 2008 10:35 pm ET

Obama is a hypocrite????? HILLARY YOU AND YOUR CAMPAIGN HAVE TRULY LOST IT…….

John Adkisson   April 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

This has got to stop. Voters of Pennsylvania, put the rest of us out of our misery and vote for Obama — even by one vote — we can't stand listening to Hillary Clinton's destructive anti-progressive tripe for another moment.

Registered Independent   April 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

Just because he would rather not engage in that sort of politics doesnt mean he cant give Clinton a swift backhand when she needs one. With the way she is attacking him, its a necessary evil.

In all actuallity nobody is going after the skeletons in Hillary's closet. She is in for a rude awakening if she thinks she is "vetted". Barack isn't running a negative campaign as she states, though he does have to go negative from time to time when he needs to shut her up.

If anyone thinks he has thrown any real attacks at her is sadly mistaken. The republicans will rip her up.

Dingo   April 19th, 2008 10:34 pm ET

IS the Clinton Camp calling the Kettle Black?(ya sure youbetcha)
Hillary IS a proven Liar!
This was from day one for sure.
Her day one started even before she was once in the White House.

Carl from Pa   April 19th, 2008 10:31 pm ET

There is a big difference between attacking and being truthful. Obama has reminded us all about the truth while you seem to forget the truth. Also, how many "experts" are saying 15 million will be without health care? I wonder if you would site your sources on this matter.

Amy   April 19th, 2008 10:30 pm ET

What is the big deal?! Both parties have done things to the each other..again…STOP THE WHINING and get on with the business of saying what the American people would like to hear. We have had enough of this mess!

Korean War Veteran's Daughter   April 19th, 2008 10:30 pm ET

Senator Hillary Clinton does not admit she made a MISTAKE voting YES for the Iraq War!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yet she will joke about sniper fire in BOSNIA instead of offering her sympathies for the 4,000 PLUS deceased soldiers of Iraq!!!!!

PBS shows acknowledge the soldiers deceased from the Iraq War!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bosnia, closed doors to the public for Healh Insurance Planning during TWO presidential terms of the "Clinton Administration", the first First Lady ordered to appear in court, said she will GARNISH WAGES for Health Insurance…….

Vote OUT the "Clinton Dynasty"!

EX supporter of Hillary   April 19th, 2008 10:29 pm ET

it’s simply further evidence that Hillary Clinton cares about nothing other than her own power(not that that’s surprising.) So, not only did Hillary lie, she falsely accused her opponent of the very thing she did. Non-factual hypocrisy at it’s finest.

There’s also the old matter of the e-mails slandering Senator Obama by calling him a Muslim. Hillary’ campaign may have had the person who sent the e-mails resign, but Hillary’s not so committed to the truth that she’ll correct an accusation she knows to be false as shown on 60 Minutes.

harriett   April 19th, 2008 10:29 pm ET

Billary should know hyprocrites because she is one. she is trying to destroy the democratic party because she has a deal with the republican and the media. She is going to help the republican win this election and then she will run in 2012.

Richard   April 19th, 2008 10:29 pm ET

Is this a new season of Desperate (house)wifes or what?

The Freedom Gnome   April 19th, 2008 10:28 pm ET

Wow, will the the Clinton camp shush. Yes I supported Hillary long ago, but if my state was voting soon, she would not get my vote. It's not that Obama's policies are better if not mostly similar, but the aura of the Clinton madness is making me despise politics again. There is no way she could win the election and it is important to keep McCain out. Nobody should vote out of spite.

Smeon   April 19th, 2008 10:28 pm ET

HILLARY IS THE BIGGEST HYPOCRITE AND ONE OF AN UNSTABLE MINDED WOMAN I KNOW.
I AM A WOMAN WHO WAS READY TO VOTE FOR HER BUT "GOD FOR BIDE" SHE IS VERY UNTRUSTWORTHY, UNPREDICTABLE, SHREWD AND DEFINITELY "NOT THE TYPE OF WOMAN WHO CAN BE A COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF."
THERE ARE SEVERAL WOMEN OUT HERE WHO CAN DO A BETTER JOB FROM NY STATE…SHE REALLY GOT AN EASY RIDE TO THE SENATE IN NY.
I AM NOT VOTING FOR A WOMAN WHO WAS HUMILIATED BY HER HUSBAND AND YET, STAYED FOR A FREE RIDE AND AT THE SAME TIME WAS SEEKING SYMPATHY FROM WOMEN.
I WISH SHE HAD FLEXED HER MUSCLES AT BILL DURING THE LEWINSKY SCANDAL, LIKE SHE IS TRYING TO DO IT ON OBAMA, RIGHT NOW. THEN, MOST WOMEN WOULD HAVE BEEN 200% BEHIND HER, RIGHT NOW BUT THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL WANTING IT ALL…NEVER WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Justin   April 19th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

What a load of bull. Clinton started the negative crap right after her nice third place finish in Iowa.

Harvey   April 19th, 2008 10:27 pm ET

Obama is to blame for all of the attacks on him of late—from Hillary, from McCain, ABC, etc., and he needs to stop blaming Hillary for it all.

It's interesting that it is often difficult for one to see what we as individuals create in our own lives and then blame others.

Obama simply hasn't adequately answered all of those questions that he's been hit with lately—and it seems that these self-inflicted wounds won't go away …. until Obama explains it away. He has no one to blame …. except HIMSELF.

Cry baby, cry.

Dave   April 19th, 2008 10:26 pm ET

How is he not to go into attack mode when her entire campaign has been about attacking him on every statement he makes. She's the hypocrite.

Luke   April 19th, 2008 10:22 pm ET

Who cares what the Clinton Camp says? They need to quit whining. AND I'm tired of everyone calling Sen. Clinton "a fighter". That title was proposed by the news media and picked up by the genius Clinton Camp. What a bunch of losers.

A theft tried to get into a house. He stepped on the skylight in the kitchen, fell, and broke his leg. He later sued the home owner for not putting light in the kitchen with skylight.

Clinton's next move is to blame Obama for her Bosnia lies. Her reason is simply because Obama put too much pressure on her, forcing her to lie.

PATHETIC is the word. She is horrible. Her campaign people are even worse. They have no shame.

Obama is nothing like he talks himself up to be. He says he is not going to run things the same old way and he is doing just that and more. He is as negative as any candidate.
That ridiculous rapper thing he did of "brushing his shoulder" when he talked about Clinton was childish and made him look like a joke. We don't need the leader of our country copying rapper moves.
He also criticized Clinton for having a drink and then we saw he had done the same thing a week prior as he mugged for the camera.
And the Annie Oakley was another comment he should be ashamed of. The president of theUnited States should be an adult, not a silly teenager. The way he whined about the last debate questions was more like a preteenager.

NObama

Vote NO = Not Obama

Smiley from Conyers, GA   April 19th, 2008 10:20 pm ET

This is getting ridiculous. I am tired of both sides slinging mud and ignoring the issues. This bitter American is annoyed by this. What needs to be discussed how to get the gas prices down to reasonable levels.

Enough with the name calling and let's get back to trying to win the White House before we end up paying $5/gal for gas!

A Democrat   April 19th, 2008 10:20 pm ET

When you lie, usually it's your own fault. Hill, you have no one to blame but yourself for knowingly deceiving the public. Sorry.

paul   April 19th, 2008 10:20 pm ET

I don't necessary like the name calling but I do have to agree with the Clinton camp for calling Obama and his camp out doing the exact thing that they say the Clinton camp does. Everyday you hear Obama claim to be a candidate of change and a NEW sort of politician but everyday he does the complete opposite.

Not only does he bring out all the OLD guard of the democratic party from Ted Kennedy to John Kerry, but with one hand he claims to not want to take part in attack politics but with the other does exactly taht, attack politics.

I don't think that Obama is any different than the rest. He is a man who is truly buying this election with all the money he has raised. If he has such support than he truly would not need to spend 3 to 4 times more than Hillary … who though she has been losing has been able to get her message out there with less money and has only been losing by small margins, albeit losing. (Remember, Edwards was losing by 20 to 30 points whereas in most races Hillary is down by an average of 5-10 if not extremely close).

It saddens me that Obama, a man who says he is about CHANGE does not want to stick with his pledge of taking the public finance money but would rather and against his OWN promise, would rather use millions and millions of dollars to win. Make it a true race about ideas and about plan and not about who was able to raise the most money.

To spend close to and over a billion dollars already on this race by all the candidates while people starve and struggle with money in this country and the world is disgusting. Obama will never be able to run as a true candidate of change. Because he never was one.

Jeanne   April 19th, 2008 10:16 pm ET

Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? The Clintons really don't smell like roses after all (more like decay).

I'd like to hear the politicians talk about what they plan to do to strengthen the economy and bring jobs to America so that people can raise their children without worrying about how they're going to make ends meet. I'll take a few character flaws to get a government that works to bring prosperity to the people. That's the type of leadership I'm looking for. Unfortunately I don't believe any of the 3 candidates qualify.

Anna   April 19th, 2008 10:16 pm ET

Excuse me….wasn't it her husband Bill Clinton that brought the subject of Bosnia up again when he talked about when you are tired and 60 years old you forget stuff or don't get things right…….of course, they don't agree about NAFTA…..Colombia but she sure is glad to accept her part of that big money he earns pushing those ideas.

JN   April 19th, 2008 10:16 pm ET

Blerinda   April 19th, 2008 10:14 pm ET

Obama is a hypocrite and the entire campaing he has run is totally unethical. America should be prepared for few more hard years if he wins. One may not agree with Clinton's policies but she does have policies. Obama is the preacher, the name caller, the dreamer of a soap bubble.

He promised a different campaign, however, he himself and his advisors have dwelled on derogatory remarks well below the standards he so loudly preaches. Unbelievable for someone who went to Harvard! Harvard take note: Probably, in the future you should consider lecturing on good manners above all subjects!
To Obama: May God save America from you and the abysmal misery you are dragging America to! Sure, we the rest of the world will be better without you and your New Bushisms!

Joseph Adewole   April 19th, 2008 10:14 pm ET

Please, please stop this for the sake of The Dems . Hillary only mis-spoke and she realised it ; her husband too mis-spoke when he re-defined 'sexual relation'; we need to face the fact and wait till May 6th when all this will end; we should be thinking of uniting The Dems now.

JA Cook   April 19th, 2008 10:14 pm ET

Of course, we know anything Hillary says is probably untrue or exaggerated anyway. In this case it's the kitchen sink full of pots calling a new kettle black.

Jim Richmond   April 19th, 2008 10:13 pm ET

I agree but I think the young souls are mesmerized by Obama. It's almost cult following. I think we should do a program on why is it so easy to brain wash Americans. Right now they want to cling to hope and change. The sky is not falling and Obama can't change anything anyway. As I always advocated, without government's intervention, we would do far better. Obama's socialism is not the answer.

Gino   April 19th, 2008 10:12 pm ET

Absolutely Right. Obama is hippocrat from Day 1. When facing any question about his own integrity, his connections to radicals, his ties to those who bombed places in this country, his lackluster pledge and raising no hand to the chest on national pledge or prayers, his response his : "My campaign is about issues and not these old time politics" Well Mr. Obama – it is time you quit. Every person in the United States has solution to this country's problems, but it is your patriotim we are looking for. If you can not bow to a flag, then go to places you have friends and bury your face – We need national hero and not an elitist who is out of touch with Americans. Get out of the race completely and save this democratic party or we are loosing in November again.

JN   April 19th, 2008 10:12 pm ET

Billary, it's over…hang it up…I don't think you should be calling Barak Obama a hypocrite without looking at yourself in the mirror first. And Howard Wolfson, that goes to you too!!!!

Lynn in NM   April 19th, 2008 10:12 pm ET

Hypocrite? You must be looking in the mirror Hillary. She has the same moral authority to lay the wreath at the sacred Tomb of the Unknown Soldier that her draft dodging husband did.

Suzie Applebee   April 19th, 2008 10:12 pm ET

Name-calling is apperently all that Hillary is good at. Just terrible!! So let me get this straight. She can call Senator Obama every name in the book while Obama just sits there quietly? lol. NOT! When Obama says anything about Hillary, he's being negative. When she says anything it's the gospel? Haa Haaaa! She is such a loser!

OBAMA '08

E. C., Houston, Texas   April 19th, 2008 10:12 pm ET

When I was the age of most Obama supporters, i.e., the age of 18-26, Obama would have been called a 'Loser.' Where did his popularity stem from? And where did the 400 Million come from? This man is NOT Presidential, nor does the American Public know anything about Obama, or his background. We know ONLY what Obama wants us to know, and that is very, very miniscule amount of information. Obama strolled through the Senate and has Nothing Whatsoever to Show for his position as Senator in the short amount of Time that he has been a Senator. And Obama is now running for President? PLEASE! Obama's entire Campaign is a CHARADE!

Wesley   April 19th, 2008 10:11 pm ET

Gen. Walter Stewart is absolutely right. She sat that and laughed about it on Leno as though it were just some simple slip of the tongue. It wasn't. It was a lie, plain and simple. She laughs about lying about being under sniper fire while our troops are in foreign lands actually under real sniper fire. Shame on you Hillary Clinton, shame on you.

Texan For The Truth!!!   April 19th, 2008 10:10 pm ET

OBAMA HAS A LOT OF NERVE saying anything negative about Hillary's comments on Bosnia. At least she went there. HE ON THE OTHER HAND has run his campaign with one main issue. She voted for the Iraq war. I WONDER WHICH DIRECTION HE WOULD HAVE MADE IF HE'D HAD THE CHANCE TO VOTE? WHICH HE DID NOT!!! So you tell me how do we know one way or another whether he was for the war or he was not. WHAT A DECEIVER>LIAR>AND MIDDLE EAST BACKER OF MUSLIM's. The truth is coming out now that Hamas is backing him. It now makes sense why he had a prolonged stay in Pakistan. Was he getting his orders and making final plans. Why would Hama be backing him if this was do thue. Their one desire is to destroy Israel and America. Anyone who can vote for this man has to have a loose bolt and nut in their brain. HILLARY OR McCAIN 08 but never Obama.

Andrew   April 19th, 2008 10:10 pm ET

whatever Hillary   April 19th, 2008 10:10 pm ET

Obama tried to play it clean, but ever since Billary's comments on South Carolina, Obama has been forced to get in the mud again and again. It's not his fault he had to fight fire with fire, because Hillary's fire of attacks overwhelmed the cool mist of Obama's character. Although I disapprove of Obama playing into Hillary's negativity, i can hardly blame him!!!

Sepo   April 19th, 2008 10:10 pm ET

Now thats the pot calling the kettle black……..the best thing the clinton campaign should do now is stay quiet, because every time they open their mouth they are hurting their candidate…………that includes Bill and Hillary staying on track also. those who are going to vote for her need no more distractions and reasons to change their minds.

The Oracle   April 19th, 2008 10:10 pm ET

Jerri Popovich   April 19th, 2008 10:09 pm ET

Although I'm still undecided between Clinton and Obama, I do agree with her criticisim of Barack Obama and his hypocrisy. I watched the beginning of their debate and was refreshed by his candor about stopping the "sniping", or whatever you want to call it. Then in the next breath, out of his campaign comes the bashing. He needs to decide which way he wants to play it.

Justin   April 19th, 2008 10:09 pm ET

It's over Hillary. You can only lie so long before it all comes crashing down.

So go ahead, take the low road, attack him on nothing. And keep lying. I guarantee you won't be getting my vote at the primary.

It's time for a change, not another Clinton.

Ugh!

So now the Clinton campaign has a time machine. They can now push "this afternoon" back to before "Wednesday night's debate" and claim a lie…yup, they'll say anything…anything at all.

Maybe they can push us all back to 2007 or better yet 1992.

Boy.Hillary is really pulling out all the stops. She surely does deserve the Republican nod for Vice President. She has been their best advocate with her motto of "win at all costs and say whatever you think they want to hear."
One other note, what is with Larry King having her on his show the night before an important primary like this. That has a distinct odor of crony ism.Larry being the "Arsenio Hall " of news journalists will certainly make for a fertile field of mis truths and lies for Hillary to frolic in Maybe larry would ask her about her comments about the southern democratic voters that didn't support her husband during his campaign and what her sentiment towards them was after all was said and done.I believe it was "screw them" to quote her accurately.Beware Pennsylvania, she will tell you whatever you want to hear to get what she wants.

LOL from Michigan   April 19th, 2008 10:07 pm ET

Hillary is the one who lied multiple times about her Bosnian experience. If she didn't want anyone attacking her for her fibbing, she should have told the truth in the first place.

Its also interesting that before every primary, Hillary's crew spin a new Obama controversy to mislead people. To me, a sign of desperation.

If she wants this to be treated as a non-issue, she has to treat it as a non-issue and not keep it alive in the public's eye or ear. People lost
faith in her when she got caught not telling the truth, it gives more
people a new reason reason not to like her.

For all those who support Hillary, its good to be forgiving, but bad to support and promote such poor ethics. But thats just a reflection of society and Hillary is just reflecting the morals of her supporters.

LaShawn , Pensacola FL   April 19th, 2008 10:06 pm ET

Wow, Hillary calling someone a hypocrite out of one side of her mouth and being one out of the other. Why does she continue to be so negative. Is she competing with Bush to see if she can get her approval rating as low as his? My goodness! Speaking of day one:Her unfavorability rating is 54% on day one. That's before even taking office. At least Bush's is low because of doing a bad job. She has'nt even been hired yet. Not even businesses hire people they don't like in the interveiw, no matter the qualifications.

Janice   April 19th, 2008 10:05 pm ET

Seriously,

How can she call anyone a hypocrite? Especially after she admitted to telling a bold face lie. The problem is The Clinton's have an issue with Barack because, he wasn't a powerhouse or household name and has basically beaten her. I know they are thinking< the audacity of this guy to come in… run a better campaign, raise more money, have the lead in the popular vote, win more states..WHEN WE ARE THE CLINTONS.

She's a hypocrite! Explain to me how you can run the Whitehouse and couldn't run your own house as a wife! For pete's sake Bill was impeached for lying to the American public! He screwed around right under your nose! I guess she was too busy, ducking bullets.

I really and truly was on the fence about my vote, but after this media circus, her lies, attacks on non-issues..there's no way I could vote for her. I am a mother of 3 and would clearly remember if I was out with my babies and was under gun fire.

O, and not to mention she basically called Barack a wimp, and we don't want a wimp in the White House. He's a wimp because he won't throw any hard punches back at her? That's what makes him special in my book.. He** it's not working for her! I think it's pretty smart of him to let her sink her own ship..by acting like a bitter old woman, who thinks she's owed the Presidency.

If she's so against the Colombian Trade deal…tell Bill to give back the $800,000 he got from the Colombian Gov't or fire Mark Penn all together! How can your top two supporters/advisers have a differerent stance on trade than you?!

Who's a hypocrite I'd say Hillary Clinton

I proudly served my country and I'd be proud to serve under Hillary Clinton. She's welcome to place a wreath on any veterans grave as far as I am concerned. Including mine when the day comes. As far as Obama is concerned, I wouldn't spit on him if he was on fire. He's a disgrace to this country and if he and his wife are so ashamed of the flag and the many who have died for it then they are free to travel on a one way ticket to Africa. Why for the life of me that so many american's are worshiping this racist, egotistical elitist is beyond me. After all of these years, and all of our experience and history….people still fail to heed the old addage…if it seems too good to be true then it is. This country was built on cons, I guess it'll be destroyed by one too.

Obama wants to appear as the man who is above dirty political tactics. But, he has his surrogates go out on the field like vicious attack dogs.

If it wasn't for the media's infatuation with this man, and its lack of responsible reporting, he would have been history. While his supporters were outraged at the way the last debate went ( several questions were tossed his way, which made him visibly unnerved) this was the first time moderators dared ask him character related questions. They'll need to get used to the unavoidable scrutiny heading his way. I can understand the reason for him not wanting to engage in any further debates, he is out of his element and does not appear to be in command of the policies or any other matter that is not scripted. He could not even explain the capital gains tax.

Phil Singer is absolutely right. The Obama campaign, while spouting words about its avoidance of the "old politics," was the FIRST to use such tactics when they deliberately misrepresented Hillary's healthcare plan in a flyer a few weeks ago. Then, they came out with that ad with the big lie about his being "the only candidate " who doesn't take money from oil companies. (They had to correct both "mistakes.")

But, then, they, and people like Reich and Richardson, have the nerve to complain about Hillary's "tactics" when all she does is say "Shame on Barack" for the heallthcare lie one and she corrects Obama on the second. Are these Obama people living in the real world? Sadly, they seem to be getting away with their distortions when we can have a supposedly intelligent man like Reich claiming tha that he just had to endorse Obama becuase of Hillary's tactics. Do these people have selective hearing skills or what? Maybe, as Singer said, they're just dyed in the wool hypocrites!

So please tell me how Hillary Clinton is any different?

My all time favorite: the Clinton campaign hammered at Obama for days about his stance on NAFTA after the meeting between his economic advisor and Canadian officials. When Obama's campaign finally responded by pointing to Clinton's book "Living History" — published in 2003 (after her husband left the White House) — where she praised NAFTA, her campaign responded by decrying what they called as Obama's "Rovian" tactics.

Explain to me how that's not hypocritical.

I agree… I can not believe people think that he is all about new politics… this is the same old game… wake up!!!

One of his new healthcare ads proves this as well… he got called on it by the media…

Obama's ad is somewhat misleading. Clinton has never said people would be "forced" to buy coverage they can't afford. Her proposal offers tax subsidies that would help people purchase coverage, and many independent analysts believe the subsidies would reduce costs as much as Obama's plan.

How is he about change??? … a different kind of Washington??? Give me a break… he is just like every politician!!!

Is Hillary Clinton mentally ill, or does she have some kind of split personality? These crazy comments cme from her on a daily basis now. The pressure she is under now is nothing like what she would be under as President, especially now given the dire nature of the war, the economy education and healthcare. How would she conduct herself as President? Is she going to rant and rave everytime she is criticized. She is acting unstable, flighty and irrational. Exactly what many people expect of a woman. Never have I seen a politician so desperate to win an office.

Bosnia would not be an issue had she not repeatedly bragged about being under sniper fire. Here's a novel idea. Tell the truth, then you don't have to worry about a story coming back to haunt you!

How petty it has all become! The DNC needs to close this one down, soon by confirming its earlier decision on Florida and Michigan. Doing so effectively ends the Clinton campaign. How regretable that a bright and talented woman has chosen to engage in such extensive negative campaigning. She is leaving party leaders little choice as it continues. That will cost her the nomination and undermine her position in the party in future years. What a pity!

Clinton is the one who was a hypocrite from day one. She came to the campaign with extra wings hoping that her husband's 8 years in White House will help her sweep the campaign with a clean broom.
Hillary forgot that her husband time was 20 years ago, of which as today it is history. Obama has brought a type of movement which envoked the spirits of the young people in American and through out the whole world like a whirl wind.

The Clinton days are over with the history of lies and lies as well as some dubious deals. America needs a man like Obama who can unite and bringthe economy back as well as hope to the HELPLESS people here and abroad. He is young fresh and very smart for the liking of the Clintons. We all have turns, when it was Bill's turn it was nice and sweet when people embraced him. Now the focus is on Obama it is not nice. Grapes are now sour.

How can Hillary say she can feel for the American people? How does feel the way we feel when we go to pump gas at the gas station it is expensive? She has her home, some people lost their homes, husbands have no jobs. Hillary is really arrogant. Let her go and enjoy her $110million dollars peaceful.

When things are not going the way she wants she cries. When things are getting tough she brings a kitchen sink. The kitchen sink is taking her to the drainage.
When she is losing she snaps. When she wins she finds her voice.

Dolly,   April 19th, 2008 9:50 pm ET

For someone who states he doesn't wear a flag pin in his lapel because "I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest. Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great" is extremely arrogant and elitist.

For a candidate for the Presidency of the United States to be uncomfortable with wearing a symbol of his country is not only disturbing but also gives him no room to speak about the unknown solider who in wearing a flag on his uniform died to create the country that the Senator aspires to lead.

Where is the conversation and discussion regarding Senator' Obama's voting record? Surely this will give us an insight into " his beliefs that will help to make this country great."

I'm tired of hearing about change, I want to hear something substantive from him.

Vascilation has not been Obama's style during this campaign. It has been the trademark of the Clintons.

Heck, they both have doctorate degrees in it. Obama is nowhere near as good at it, I have to admit, but that is part of his appeal. If this country was smart, we'd all ditch Clinton immediately. How more clear can it be to you Clinton supporters that she isn't in this for the country, the people or her party… she's in this for herself.

She's lost the game already and simply refuses to leave the field. It's pathetic.

Kmp;   April 19th, 2008 9:43 pm ET

Yeah okay whatever Clinton. Look in the mirror and you will see the definition of what a hypocrite is.

Let me see NAFTA flip-flop, CAFTA, Bosnia oh and so many more. So please before you start calling someone a hypocrite look back on many of your own statements.

Dan   April 19th, 2008 9:42 pm ET

The irony here is that Singer is decrying Obama's supposed attack politics, while at the same time trying to damage Obama's credibility.

But, really, can we please focus on the issues?

camen   April 19th, 2008 9:42 pm ET

"Liar from Day One" Hil_LIAR-y. Liar, Liar Pant-suits on Fire. Taste of the truth is "bitter" when it comes from an "Elitist"? What's the matter, she's can't take her own medicine? Voters on to her from "Day One"

Jane   April 19th, 2008 9:41 pm ET

Hillary dominated the debate. We know their answers to the issues.
We don't know about Obama NOW WE DO.

Please vote for Hillary, she is a winner. She will fight for US to the end.

I saw Obama brush his shoulders and also give the bird. If anyone says that is not what he did, they do not live in the real world of the streets.

Don't need that Pimp in the White House.

Jeff   April 19th, 2008 9:40 pm ET

Why is it when Obama gets asked the "hard" and "annoying" questions that aren't related to the issues he can deflect saying that it's irrelevant and made up controversy and implies that he's above the questioning as demonstrated on the most recent debate .. BUT .. he (over the course of his campaign) and his surrogates get to take an ACTIVE part in doing what he's now claiming to be bad politics and no one is bothered by it?

BTW… In the first several debates with just him and Hillary they both acknowledged that they are alike on almost 90-95% of the issues… So why wouldn't we want to find out about these character influencing issues that reflect how decisions are made without pressure, during pressure and when being forced to interact with people who have conflicting agendas and not showing off how annoyed you are but participating with the prime minister, president, leader that you are conversing with… If he's this annoyed with Charles Gibson how will he respond to leaders who have different agenda's then his own?

JEFF   April 19th, 2008 9:39 pm ET

Mrs.Clinton she is not trustworth and she admits it when she said during the debate that her past comments about landing in Bosnia with sniper fire was not true and she is embarrased by the comments. Therefore I dont see any wrongdoing calling her fake and aliar .I think she should apologize to the entire nation and give a speech about her many lies

Becky in In.   April 19th, 2008 9:39 pm ET

My goodness folks he is just like all politicians. Maybe a little cuter but still just the same.

Mike in Westchester   April 19th, 2008 9:38 pm ET

Wow, no wonder her negatives are through the roof. If I were her, I would start worrying about her Senate seat. Her legacy (along with President Clinton's) is being soiled with the mud they are slinging.

I hope we're in the final 17 days of this mess.

Leigh in N.C.   April 19th, 2008 9:38 pm ET

I find it interesting that Obama continues trying to set himself apart from the comments of his own people in order to try and convince us that he is above this type of mud slinging. Yet, I have witnessed several very petty remarks directly from him that tells me that he is not above this. If Senator Clinton gets under his skin so much, imagine what 4 years in the White House with the whole world watching and commenting will be intolerable for him. I also find it interesting that a commercial running in N.C. has him "removin" the "g's" from some of his words as if we are ignorant hicks.

sophia nyc   April 19th, 2008 9:38 pm ET

If I recall correctly, Hillary "misspoke" in Texas just last year about the Bosnia sniper fire.

gpr   April 19th, 2008 9:37 pm ET

Obama and his campaign team as a whole is an utterly hypocrytic bunch. While they go preaching about all the morals they dont follow any. may be they think they dont have to practice what they preach.

Nickberry   April 19th, 2008 9:37 pm ET

I think Obama should call off his military surrogates… When it comes to Hillary they tend to make way over the top comments. The Bosnia "fish" story has already been discussed ad nauseum… and Hillary already paid a price for it. She was very forthcoming about her being wrong and she sincerely apologized on Wednesday night… Now the Obama campaign looks like it is piling on, which in fact helps Hillary.

And of course, Obama did get caught flat-footed at the debate Wednesday night with his own issues… including being called out on his statements that he did not go after Hillary on the Bosnia story… yet having to admit that his campaign did.. and that they are indeed one in the same.

Don   April 19th, 2008 9:36 pm ET

It's very sad to see how the Clintons has bring their name, image, respect and dignity down here at home and abroad in quest of becoming the first female president. These has done much damage than that of Lewinsky, can they repair the damage? I don't know!

Leisa   April 19th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

I gotta say…I am a HUGE Obama fan and I really do not like Hillary's hypocrital ways but when I look at McCain, she is an angel. He flip-flops so much. He says he is not going to do anything about the economy and everyone laughs at him so he gave it another shot and decides; oh…you dont like that? Well, lets try this one. Come on demoocrats….no matter who wins…YOU CANNOT LET THAT MAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Becky   April 19th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

I keep trying to tell you all that Hillary is 10 times more unelectable than Barack is with mistakes that she made within the last few months piled on top of all her baggage….How do you think that John McCain who REALLY experienced sniper fire is going to treat this story?

Bottom line is that she got us into this war…She could have had some cajones and stood up to Bush but she was too worried about rockin the boat and ruining her chance to be president then fighting to do the right thing….SHE DIDNT EVEN READ THE BRIEF!!!! What kinda experience is this? The kind that is pulling the wool over her supporters eyes just like George Bush did to his supporters!!!!

A.M.   April 19th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

Hypocrite! Who has been been hypocrite? No one but 'Hilary Clinton' It is so obvious yet her supporters do not see this at all. For NAFTA while being the first lady, against NAFTA while compaiging in Ohio and now in Pennsylvania. She talks from all side of her mouth.

Come on — give us a break!

I"m so Sick of your complaining and whining throughout this Campaign and then turning it around and blaming others for your own situations.

STOP!!! Its so sickening…… Really.

California Voter   April 19th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

Looks like Clinton has a point here. Obama likes to play the part of taking the high road while all his dirty work is done by his surrogates or his campaign staff. By the way, he has never told a straight story regarding Rev. Wright. Sitting in his church for 20 years and never hearing any inflammatory remarks . . well, maybe on second thought he is telling the truth. Maybe, Wright's remarks are not really inflammatory for him because he feels the same as he does.

yak   April 19th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

He's weak. If he becomes the runner, the Republicans will eat him alive. He couldnt even have a good debate with Senator Clinton this week. No experience, and everything he says are general answers. No specific plans, No future. A rookie that has a luck on his side.

Dana   April 19th, 2008 9:35 pm ET

Wow strong comments coming from someone who is doing the same thing. And didn't McCain come out and say the same thing today? I wish she could just have an original thought. And furthermore, didn't her husband Bill just bring this up a week ago or so? For misspeaking she is sure getting upset about it.

it is amazing to hear after wednesday night debate between Hillary and obama how some networks including cnn arguing that the Abc anchors do not ask obama about the issues that will affect people's lives. tell me how many times that cnn best political team on television asks questions will affect our lives in their blogs than obama versus clinton in order to show one is devil or evil, and the other one is angel or messiah. to illustrate my comments, just take a look to many comments that post in your blogs. who are these people? i do not care whom they support, but they have to realize blast either obama or clinton will not take us anywhere.as a result, i urge cnn bloggers to ask question about the real issues that we can have a real discussion. i hope this is not too much to ask.

jeannie N.C.   April 19th, 2008 9:33 pm ET

Hipocarcy at it's best.. Obama is good at lying to the american people to make himself look good. And behind the scenes he is sending out false propaganda against Hillary… He thinks he is God, or at the least, a prophet.. The biggest scam I have ever seen…..

Misty   April 19th, 2008 9:31 pm ET

Senator Clinton is soooooooooooooooo good at twisting contorting and taking words out of contest. I give her a gold medal. She has hammered on Senator Obama consistently on issues that are trivial and silly. She should start forming a committee for running for Governor of NewYork— that is their fall back plan if she loses the presidential nomination. She is NOT going to Be the Democrat Nominee.

Please Oh! Please let us Americans be— We want to not see her face on TV anymore. I cannot take it anymore.

Also CNN — Enough of the Pope thing!!!! You tend to overdo everything.

I can't blame Obama for using some negative tactics now after all the negative tactics applied on him by the Clinton campaign. And to all our disappointment, some of the negative campaigning did work for Clinton. So,Clinton campaign should just shut up.

Dave   April 19th, 2008 9:26 pm ET

If Clinton braved sniper fire in Bosnia, I imagine she can handle this.

henriettap   April 19th, 2008 9:26 pm ET

Hillary Clinton can not call anyone a hypocrit it is true that she lied about her trip to Bosnia being under fire and to keep telling it on the campaign trail several times as if it really happened that way.Maybe she was telling it so many times not only to make herself believe it but to convince everyone that she might be telling the truth for once.Hillary Clinton is wishy washy a flip flop a bad actress and does't show good judgement.Maybe if she could jog her memory she would recall all of her and Bills exploitations while they were in the White House. Now the reason she is complaining is because when someone tells the truth about her it hurts. And then she cries like a baby.

john williams san diego, ca.   April 19th, 2008 9:26 pm ET

Hillary has never she a tear for the military war victims or any of the firefighters from 911. OK..a real tear..

K in Seattle   April 19th, 2008 9:26 pm ET

This is what the Clinton campaign has come down to–name calling and finger pointing.

C'mon Pennsylvania–end this thing!

grandma   April 19th, 2008 9:24 pm ET

I am so tired of this cry baby.So she misspoke about Bosnia. Obama has lied so many times I can't count them all. and still the media has turned thier head. This has been a one sided campain from the start. And what about N.A.F.T.A. when he told Canada his talks on N.A.F.T.A. was political rhetoric. Does that sound like someone that cares about American jobs? What about his wife saying they could hardly afford dance lessons for thier girls and they are just now are able to pay off thier student loans. This comming from someone whos taxes showed they made over 4 milliom last year. And there are so many lies they both have told. It makes me sick. And yes I can see Hillary putting flower on the grave of the unknown soldier. She at least went to Iraq on two occasions with John McCain to talk to our troops and to liston to thier problems. She also visited veterian hospitals to talk to the veteran about thier insurance and what they would like to have done. This is more then Obama has done. He just wants to critize everyone on thier efforts then stand back and say I want a clean campaign. Bull. I will never vote for this liar, never. Grandma (age 45)

Harley Boaz Alabama   April 19th, 2008 9:24 pm ET

What is funny is the media hasn't called Obama out on his attacks once. They just keep letting his campaign send them emails where they can attack Hillary while saying that Obama is "above it all" That is crap. Obama's campaign has called Hillary everything from a "racist" to a "liar" Is this the politics of Hope? I think this is the politics of media deception

ABG   April 19th, 2008 9:24 pm ET

I have followed Barach Obama's attacking, sarcastic comments toward his opponent from Day 1.

I am happy his true character is finally being exposed for the voters to see.

Barach, just because you say you are playing nice does not mean that is reality. Lest we forget the "dump truck" comment in February.

This is all about character. Given your latest actions and words, we all have to wonder who you really are, your hopeful words or your demeaning actions!

Suzie Applebee   April 19th, 2008 9:24 pm ET

Who's WHINING now!? Whaaa Whaaa Whaaa! Hillary, you're a disgustingly awful excuse for a candidate. & I'm far from the only one who thinks so! You should make a gust appearance on DESPERATE Housewives or something. Athough we know you look down on women who bake cookies–a quite elitist attitude I might add–you certainly do qualify as DESPERATE!

The sad thing is, even if Obama is a hypocrite, I still like him more than Hillary. That should tell you something.

Steve   April 19th, 2008 9:23 pm ET

She, Bill and her campaign have attacked Obama every step of the way! They are they hypocrites. To quote them, if you cannot stand the heat, leave the kitchen. Unbelieveable. As a loyal democrat I have said I would vote for whoever is the nominee. At first I didn't know whether I would support Obama or Clinton, my educated choice became for Obama. I am not sure now if I'll even vote, I do not think Clinton would be any better for the country than McCain. I cannot bring myself to vote for McCain, and that is beginning to be feeling about Clinton. Her campaign is bringing down the party and she is to self-righteous (or elitist) to even care. To think I have Clinton's books in my house and was once a fan, and have even defended them. Fools me once, shame on you; fools me twice, shame on me. I'm shocked.

QG   April 19th, 2008 9:23 pm ET

Hillary's desperation is really unbecoming! Please, for the sake of the entire country just leave. It is obvious that Hillary is only in the race to help solidify the Clinton legacy. Bill was a great president, Hillary was a great first lady, but being first lady is not a position that provides you with all this "Experience" that you claim to have.

Hillary supporters, if you want to talk about hyprocritical…. Investigate why Hillary is so determined to win…. The answer may be found in all the promises she made so donors (Including China) of the Clinton Libraray. Make Hillary list where the Clinton Library donations really come from and what did she promise to the donors in return.

I know negative responses will come, but before you respond please research the source of her donations.

Catherine   April 19th, 2008 9:23 pm ET

This woman is not fit to be Commander in Chief. As a woman myself, I am mortified by her constant whining and bickering.
Every time something doesn't go her way or her campaign hits a hurdle, she overreacts and comes across as the stereotypical hysterical woman. I hope to see a woman in the White House soon. Just not HRC. She will single handedly set women in politics back 50 years.

Kaci   April 19th, 2008 9:22 pm ET

Senator Clinton, we continue to laugh at you. You are spiraling. You should be deeply ashamed for lying about being under sniper fire. I have friends who have actually been under sniper fire in the service of this country. And some who have died. But you seem to think it's some big joke. How could you possibly call anyone else a hypocrite? I come from a family with a long line of military service service to this country, starting with my greatgrandfather in WW1 and my own father in WW2. Your lack of respect for those men and women who put their lives on the line for this country by "joking" about sniper fire and then shrugging it off like it was no big deal, is reprehensible. There is not a single fiber in my body that will cast a vote if your name is on the ballot.

David Kraus   April 19th, 2008 9:22 pm ET

So, Obama is a hyprocrite because Gen. Walter Stewart makes a comment about Bosnia. The Clinton campaign staff is a joke! But, I am sure they don't care if its ridiculous. They hope that if they throw enough cr*p against the wall, that some of it will stick.

White Pennsylvania wake up! While you are going 50/50 on Hillary and Obama in the white living room as you usually do on all matters like football games, abortion rights etc, in this case the blacks in the garage will come out and swing the vote for Obama on Tuesday. While my daughter who is for Obama thinks she is declaring her independence from Dad she is enabling the black community to decide the results. RULE OF THE DIFFERENCE: If an ethnic community votes as a block they will decide all elections if the majority is split by less than the % of this ethnic community. Blacks are 24% of the democratic vote. If whites are less than 24% for hillary in PA, Obama will win. Think about this! You have not realized the math have you? It is no wonder Obama rallies do not have many blacks. They do not want you to get the picture (the blacks in the garage that is).

Jake Jamahl, Atlanta   April 19th, 2008 9:18 pm ET

I guess if people are going to hold Hillary accountable for everything her campaign says, they also need to hold Obama accountable for what is campaign says and does. Obama's campaign has led more attack ads on Hillary. People like to blame Hillary for everything that comes out about Obama and that is wrong, because the media has proven where the information has came from or where it hasn't came from.
Obama is a hypocrite. And, he is all those things he has called Hillary. He has called her alot of things and mocked her. He is so childish.

David in Illinois   April 19th, 2008 9:12 pm ET

I always find it funny when Hillary starts calling name. Because I'm always tempted to respond with something I used to say back in grammar school: "Takes one to know one!!" First she calls Obama a "complainer," referencing his supposed reaction to the last debate. Of course, SHE was the first one to complain MONTHS ago that the press was giving Obama preferential treatment. Another one of her lies.
Now Obama is a "hypocrite." Hah! When Obama makes a misstatement it's the end of the civilized world as we know it. When Hillary is caught in "Snipergate," aw, come on, she was tired, she simply misspoke one time. Hardly! She repeated that farce over and over again to highlight her "experience."
She has no experience. She has weak "solutions for America." She is a compulsive liar. She doesn't give a darn about this country or the Democratic Party. All she cares about, ladies and gentlemen, is that she HAS TO HAVE THE NOMINATION for president of the United States no matter what the cost. She's ENTITLED to it.
It's time the voters, once again, show her the exit door. The end of the Clinton era cannot come fast enough for the good of our country.

She can't even unite the democratic party without tearing it apart. What will happen if she were the President of our United States of America!! I am so afread of this!! We would be at war with Iran, Broke at home, and laughed at around the world!

anonymous in arizona   April 19th, 2008 8:25 pm ET

She's right. He is Old Washington, he plays the same politics. Watching one of his recent speeches his sarcasm to Clinton is patronizing and negative campaigning. The problem is, none of this really matters anymore. I am a Clinton supporter, I realize the situation are nation is in and I would rather have her BUT, it is time to unify the Democratic party behind one candidate. Obama with his hypocracies and all is going to be that candidate and is more electable than Clinton. We don't need continued controversy.

Also I'd like to know why CNN never announced Clinton's two new endorsements or the commentary from the New Yorker and other papers that she did so well in the debate? Unbiased news would really help this election (hint hint).

Alyn   April 19th, 2008 8:25 pm ET

Pat Allen   April 19th, 2008 8:14 pm ET

Hillary and supporters: You should no better than to use the word hypocrite against someone. It is like the playground bully crying wolf. It has such a hollow ring and despite the fact that I am voting for Barack Obama, I still am deeply disappointed in Hillary and her campaign when they stoop to such childish rhetoric. It simply leaves them sounding silly.

It doesn't matter what this man says, nor does it matter about the company he keeps – the people that are "for Obama" are allowing themselves to have blinders on. Obama is not about change and his wife is about "old time" thoughts of prejudice….does it really matter what color the racist is? A racist is just that and that is what Michelle Obama is all about…even her attitude and facial expression reflect the chip upon her shoulder. I so wish Lou Dobbs would run, or at least let's have a real debate…allow Lou to ask the questions and maybe, just maybe we'll hear an issue or two.

…and so a complain about being attack by someone with such a knife is UNFITTING….and gives the ultimate meaning to the word HYPOCRISY…that I would point to my child Hillay's campaign as a perfect example what HYPOCRISY means…..when he is mature enough to ask me "DAD WHAT IS A HYPOCRITE?"

Mark Diplomat   April 19th, 2008 8:08 pm ET

Hillary – the "truth will set you free…."

And in this instance, you did not tell the truth; the American people are well aware of this tendency – throughout the Clinton years and legacy… and fortunately, want to move beyond the old politics to a more forthright, transparent and decent set of values.

You would do the nation a great service to return to the Senate to marshall the democratic agenda and leave room for Mr. Obama to usher in a new and invigorated agenda to recapture the luster of what America was, and is meant to be.

michael   April 19th, 2008 8:08 pm ET

Wow, why is the Clinton campaign still talking about being negative? Hillary spent 52 minutes of the debate helping dig into Obama about flag pins. Her campaign really needs to stop talking about this pont. They had a chance to over come the same old politics we are use to be Hillary. What she did in that debate is exactly why she will lose the nomination. Some of the stuff she has tried to stick on Obama has come back to haunt her. More issues of her advisors telling Canada don't worry about the nafta campaign talk. Awesome. way to go Hillary keep talking.

curtis in WI   April 19th, 2008 8:07 pm ET

Clinton calling Obama a 'hypocrite' is as hypocritical as it would be if Mitt Romney called Obama an 'elitist' — oh, wait…….

Susan   April 19th, 2008 8:07 pm ET

It sounds like the Obama campaign is now into swiftboating. I guess he is the same kind of politician he claims he isn't.

Obama is not qualified to be President. I encourage him to run for block captain in his Chicago elitist neighborhood.

Obama is nuts to think he will be President.

This is not a popularity contest, we're not talking about the election for student body president.

Hillary Clinton, we know about her (the good and the bad).

Hillary Clinton '08 & '12

David, Charlotte, NC   April 19th, 2008 8:05 pm ET

Obama is the worst kind of hypocrite….one with charisma and promises lined with lies. It is time people begin calling him what he is and stop dancing around like he is something special. He is not — he embodies the worse of humanity. and if elected we will all pay a dreadful price.

Larry in TX   April 19th, 2008 8:05 pm ET

Beth   April 19th, 2008 8:04 pm ET

LOL! Now she's whining over him using Bosnia, a direct lie by her, against her? After she laughed it off on Jay Leno? Huh, seems she doesn't like the heat in the kitchen when it comes to something that is the truth.

Johnny Oneshoe   April 19th, 2008 8:04 pm ET

I can't believe this. How could anyone in their right mind vote for Clinton, who has the nerve joking about her lies? I don't care how many policy initiatives she claims to be able to push forward or how entitled she feels she is for the presidency; if she is elected, the American government would once again lack moral authority. And even now she's spinning this story. What a snake! Obama 08.

mark   April 19th, 2008 8:03 pm ET

so… some "General" made some comments – and now the Clinton camp is somehow saying that these comments define Obama? Is this just the most amazing stretch of reasoning ever, or am I missing something? BO has had plenty of chances to bury H & B over the Bosnia and Bosnia-revisited debacles – and he hasn't. There is your character. Defined.

It's sounds to me like Clinton is just late for her nap. she's getting more crabby by the hour. how is what this General says on a conference call something that Obama is responsible for? And how does thois relate to what's been said or daone since "day one"? I read it twice and still cant sort out the logic.

If she had really been under sniper fire in Bosnia and knew what it was like, maybe she wouldn't have authorized Bush to send our sons and daughters in uniform into harms way in Iraq. I have 4 nephews in military service who have served in Iraq. Their stories would make you cry and cry.

Mandy, California   April 19th, 2008 7:50 pm ET

Amazing! The only reason that HRC is accusing Obama of hypocrisy is she can trash talk him but since he wants to keep a clean campaign anything he says that is negative, even if it is true, is "dirty politics". Ironic, since that is the name of her game.

Steven   April 19th, 2008 7:49 pm ET

Now, I could have read this article wrong, but does it not say that a general made these comments? So according to the Clinton campaign that makes Obama a hyprocrite because the general supports him. If it came from his mouth it would be one thing but as it has been proven neither of them can control their campaign staff 100 percent of the time.

I'm SO tired of Hillary's whining. How dare she talk about anyone else's criticisms when they are only in response to her initial sillinesses?

But I wish Barack would return to lifting up and living his vision fully instead of getting caught in these traps of hers to retaliate…and I wish the media would stop making the news rather than reporting it. Will this seemingly endless nightmare ever be over?

Jack Tracey   April 19th, 2008 7:48 pm ET

Of course, Hillabean' s camp has used and bragged about attack-dog politics from day-one, including during the debate, when she could and should have insisted on a return to normalcy, but instead incited the round of stupid questions.

Then on Thursday, she said "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

Obama claims to be running a positive campaign-but what about his not so subtle "flipping of the bird" when talking about Hillary. Is that not the most negative attack of all? Or is that the futile effort of a man to disrespect a US Senator when he knows as well as anyone that she won the debate hands down? Obama's campaign has been just as negative as EVERYone else's. He is a politician after all. We don't know him, and for that he's gotten off easy with the media. Now that his skeletons are being set free-he can't handle it.

Your actions and subsequent statements, and joking have cost you any chance of my vote. Brave men have died fighting a real war, and you lie about something that would have never happened in an attempt to make yourself look good in the voters eyes. Obama needs to show people that he's not soft, or a whimp like the Clintons are portraying him to be. Simply because he wants to change the divisive politics does not mean he's a whimp. Agree, Hillary lacks the moral authority and has misled the American people about her Iraq record and experience. If there’s anyone in the race whose history shows unique courage and character, it's Barack Obama. HRC’s campaign, by contrast, is singularly lacking in conviction about anything (or they make it up to get votes along the way). Why else would almost all former Clinton administration staff support Barack Obama. Take note superdelegates!

Fraser in Maryland   April 19th, 2008 6:52 pm ET

Frankly, I'm surprised that the Obama camp did not make an issue of the Bosnia comments earlier. After all, during the debate Clinton finally admitted that she LIED. If I were her, I wouldn't have resurrected this issue–especially since it is one of the main reasons that people question her veracity and view her as so negative and divisive.

On another note, it's interesting that Clinton is upset that people resurrect the Bosnia fiasco (which was true), when at the same time she is attempting to smear Obama by calling him a weak, elitist "terrorist"–all of which are not true. Not to mention that she and her surrogates claim that Obama is only ahead in the vote because he is Black, his supporters hate women, or they're too young or too stupid. Wow…for someone with $109 million, she sure is "bitter"!

keep whining hillary, weren't you just complaining that obama was complaining too much?

eleanor fitzgerald   April 19th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

Obama is just showing too much Harvard sactimony for my taste in implying that he is the only candidate with moral authority!

Nana   April 19th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

If Hillary can make up Bosnia story, I am afraid I don't trust her anymore. I don't know if what she is saying about health care and eduction is the truth or not. We need a president who is honest to his/her people. Anyway am done with Hillary. PA wake up and elect someone who you can trust

anna   April 19th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

The more the clinton camp talks about Senator Obama, the more I like him. LOL

Ed,Ellenville,New York   April 19th, 2008 6:48 pm ET

You can always tell Obama is lying when his lips are moving. He's been behind the nastiest attack campaign for a year. That line about not engaging in the politics of personal destruction is one of his greatest hits. Nothing he says he'd do should be taken seriously. It's all just phony promises to sucker all the fools out of their contributions. He's getting a nice ride out of those pidgeons.

Lou   April 19th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

Like you said Ms Clinton…if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

jl   April 19th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

CAN'T TAKE THE HEAT?

PUT THE SINK DOWN AND GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!

Vito Florio   April 19th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

When will Clinton just give it up. She has always been and still is a person who divides instead of uniting. She has this big old Washington crowd behind her which no one wants in power any more.
Her and her husband are known liars and they joke about it. We all wish they would pack up and go back to Arkansas. After 21 debates is any one still interested in another one. Enough of all this "misspoken" and the rest of the bull.

Angelo   April 19th, 2008 6:47 pm ET

Even before day one.

SAM   April 19th, 2008 6:46 pm ET

Phil Singer , you are a Hypocrite and a Liar just like your candidate.

Campaign Obama hyprocitical? This isn't news. Its an old story to anyone who wasnt born yesterday. In fact, i think the word obama is arabic for double talk.

J T   April 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

bill   April 19th, 2008 6:43 pm ET

Phyllis in Carrollton, Tx   April 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

Ouch!!! The truth hurts!

mick   April 19th, 2008 6:42 pm ET

trashlady   April 19th, 2008 6:41 pm ET

If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. Better yet fire up the oven and bake cookies.

typical whte male   April 19th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

That he is… need not say more. He's selling that he represents a 'different' kind of politician. HA! He is a loser.

Amy   April 19th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

Huh, yet when she was asked about her lie, I'm sorry, "misstatement" at the debate, she had no issues with it? First she was for NAFTA now she's against it when she needs the blue collar votes – isn't that the definition of a hypocrite?

So far I'm not seeing any difference between her and Bush. Lie, cheat, belittle all in the name of getting what they want and any cost.

matt   April 19th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

no OBAMA says:

" THIS IS THE TYPE OF POLITICS THAT DONT BELONG IN THE WHITE HOUSE ANYMORE"

so my point is this,
He is a hypocrite, he's a liar, he is a JOKE!

You cant seriusly listen to his speeches when he bashes clinton, and then say he doesn't use the same politics she does!

HILLARY / or Mccain 08

dont make me vote republican

Jonathan, Clarksville   April 19th, 2008 6:40 pm ET

Clinton is leading be 5 pts. She is done. What else can she say?

TheTruthLives   April 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Its not a negative attack you arrogant Clintonite prick…

Its THE TRUTH.

You guys have lost and are just starting to realize the bitter truth…

bigben   April 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Amen. This means war! you weak obama supporters

Trent Dillard   April 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

Maybe she'll lie about joking about it on Jay Leno.

Deborah for Obama   April 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

I guess when Senator Clinton doesn,t have good judgement.

Rich   April 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

You're going down Hillary, and everyday you get a little lower and lower and lower. If you can't run a campaign, how can you run a country?

Democrats unite! PA end this and let's go on to the real issues!

Clinton is a distraction and needs to go.

cettel   April 19th, 2008 6:38 pm ET

I fear that Hillary's having adopted the Rove approach is working.

Any Democrat who votes for her should immediately switch Party registration to Republican, because that's what she has become — she has returned to the Goldwater Republican she was when she entered Wellesley.

What's worse is that she now combines that authoritarianism with liberal policies, so as to fool voters who don't even know that even a liberal top-down (dictatorial) approach is disastrous for America.

Barack is bottom-up, and Hillary can't stand his success with an authentic bottom-up approach. He is a true progressive, and Hillary is only a liberal Republican. That's why (as was headlined in today's huffingtonpost.com) “Clinton Slams Democratic Activists At Private Fundraiser” in which Hillary condemned moveon.org and other online activist groups, saying, “they flood into these caucuses and dominate them.” She also accused moveon.org specifically, saying “MoveOn didn’t even want us to go into Afghanistan.” MoveOn promptly responded to that lie by saying, “MoveOn never opposed the war in Afghanistan, and we set the record straight years ago when Karl Rove made the same claim.”

All she is is one lie after another, and anybody who votes for her is just one of her millions of fools.

Steve   April 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

HRC your done. Give it up!

Carolyn C   April 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

I guess the Clinton campaign has adopted the Karl Rove tactic of calling the opponent the thing you are most guilty of. She's quite a student! Gutter ball at it's best!

EX-Obama supporter   April 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

I won't be fooled by his words that mask his dirty-trick actions anymore. Hillary puts out solutions and he is just attacking like he shouldn't be bothered with the voting process anymore. He isn't even near having the job and he has already CHANGEd his tune to being just another politician that gives our process a bad name

Ratgurl   April 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

I'm curious… why is CNN giving Clinton free advertising?

Cathy   April 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

I wish the Clinton campaign would just stop creating unnecessary drama.

It's madding and is pushing more and more Obama supporters to McCain, if she were to be the nominee. Although, I think it is ludicrous that any Obama OR Clinton supporter would vote for McCain if their nominee of choices doesn't win…that is what is happening because of all this playground bickering!!!

Supporting the Democrats All The Way To The Oval Office!!!

voter Arizona   April 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

Totally agree he is hypocrit. He has done nothing but go negative all weekend. His ads are negative too. Mr. I am above negative politics. RIGHT!

sam   April 19th, 2008 6:37 pm ET

Hillary can keep spitting out more of the same crap we've been hearing from day one!! keep going Hill you're digging yourself into an even larger whole, hopefully one big enough to smother your voice!!

Ilona Proud Canadian   April 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

I guess this is one of those cases where "what's sauce for the goose is not sauce for the gander"?.

Please anybody, save us from this woman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gale   April 19th, 2008 6:36 pm ET

This is so sad! Clinton campaign name calling? Grow up please our future is at stake!

I am beginning to think Hillary is a good canidate but has hired horrible campaign staff and advisors. Therefore she will lose the nomination. Maybe its best she is not the President if she does not have the judgement to hire good staff.

In life we are all hyprocrites on one subject or another. No one is perfect.

Cowboy Jack   April 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

I don't understand how Sen. Obama talks about changing politics and then allows his campaign to engage in the type of dirty tactics he claims to be against….

I don't like this double standard…. I may have to rethink my vote for Obama

Unshrub   April 19th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

Years from now the Clinton's will be remembered as the joke of the 08′ campaign.

jfz   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

Hillary Clinton definitely has more "experience" than Senator Obama (when it comes to being a hypocrite). You go girly!

McBomb   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

i'm just so sick of her……….
can she for once do the right thing and endorce my man ,sen obama?

billary u r the worst person for this job…

NickSanDiego   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

WOW FULL PANIC MODE!!

We were expecting that this weekend. Hillary is soooo predictable.

vanchava   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

Why would she joke about such an act

How many people have died under sniper fire or injured

And she jokes about it?

How low can you go?

Gary, Toronto, ON   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

Wow – sure blame Obama for setting the tone. Anybody who buys that one might be interested in a bridge I'm selling.

I also wouldn't blame a military person in Obama's camp for particularly taking umbrage at Clinton's Bosnia lie.

After all she only "apologized" during the debate and even then gave a bizarre statement of "not saying what I knew to be the facts." Prefaced by "Well, I'm not dumb". ????

gary   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

THATS THE FACTS. OBAMA HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT A LIER AND A BIG HYPOCRITE THROUGH THIS WHOLE RACE. HIS SUPPORTERS ARE SO BRAINWASHED, THEY THINK HE IS GOD.

Ilona Proud Canadian   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

I guess this is what makes news for you, right cnn?

Obama 08   April 19th, 2008 6:33 pm ET

Just how delusional the Clinton campaign could be? Just let it go dude, it's over

NickNas   April 19th, 2008 6:32 pm ET

Is this the same Clinton who was just on TV a few days ago trying to dredge up 40 year old things on Obama???? Was it not just this MORNING you Pansies we crying about someone COMPLAINING???

And you WONDER WHY people are SICK of HER??

Donna   April 19th, 2008 6:32 pm ET

HRC has no right to call anyone down for repeating the lie that she told, not once, but 3 times. Yes, a "misspeak" can happen, but not the same "misspeak" 3 times. With her negative campaigning and throwing the "kitchen sink" at Obama, I don't blame them for reviving the Bosnia airfield lie for not only Pennsylvanians to reconsider, but for all of us.

We all know she's a liar.

Gail   April 19th, 2008 6:32 pm ET

Can you spell…whinning?????

Info   April 19th, 2008 6:28 pm ET

Dear Hillary,

Shut your mouth up please.

Thank you

lorraine   April 19th, 2008 6:27 pm ET

I agree Obama is a hypocrite – I just finished watching him on TV calling Hillary down for being petty and not talking about the issues and there he was doing so much worse, Hillary has had to defend her every word and action as he is ready to pounce and turn it around into something negative, I think he is too cocky and smart alecy to be the president, same goes for his wife. Everyone please think once then twice and vote for Hillary.

Roger   April 19th, 2008 6:27 pm ET

That's funny! I just got through telling someone on another blog how Obama was such a hypocrit. A lot of people are just now starting to see Obama for what he really is. His momentum has stalled and it may be too late for Hillary to beat him, but he won't be able to beat McCain.

Ben   April 19th, 2008 6:26 pm ET

You are despicable, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Desperado   April 19th, 2008 6:26 pm ET

Sore looser……….hillary is…..

Michael,Ms   April 19th, 2008 6:25 pm ET

I guess when your losing you grab at anything you can get a hold of, only problem nothing is sticking and Clinton is beside herself.

Desiree   April 19th, 2008 6:25 pm ET

Obama complains about "distractions" that take away from the issues that the American people face and yet he does what he brings up "distractions".
What do we really know about Obama when he says one thing then does something else?

Louise   April 19th, 2008 6:25 pm ET

Can you say McCain for President?

carrie   April 19th, 2008 6:25 pm ET

hes a hypocate??? Garsh lady u have ur nerve!!!! didnt u say if u cant take the heat??etc etc uhuh, now how do u feel when someone quotes what u said and its truth where as u have done nothing but lie sense the start,, If the shoe fit,,,,ya know lolol..Id say its about time he started putting u in ur place..
thank you senator obama

Jacques, Palm Springs   April 19th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

It is past time that Senator Obama ignore Hillary and focus on campaigning on his great message. Hillary is only a fly at a picnic at this
point. She has lost.

Justin   April 19th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

Thankyou for finally saying this. BO is as much a politian as the next. Some one please stop these people from drinking the fruit punch, so they can wake up and see this man for what he is, or is not. A true leader!!!!

Bernie Moore-Knowles   April 19th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

By all means – tell the voters, HRC why you felt to make light of your lie in a comedy skit – particurlarly with regard to the substance of it? Or your own small, closed door comments in a fundraiser regarding "Democratic activists?" Activists that until they endorsed Obama – you actively went after their endorsement? Or tell us, HRC – could you explain your "Screw 'em" statement? Or better yet, HRC?

Peter Paul vs Clinton?

You have the audicity to call Obama a hypocrite?

Bernie Moore-Knowles

Independent from VA   April 19th, 2008 6:19 pm ET

Everybody knows Obama talks out of both sides of his mouth so why is this news?

GO HILLARY   April 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

oh Obama….you are running such a clean campaign.

he IS a hypocrite.

if you dont want to run a clean campaign – just own up to it.

Amanda   April 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

What is the tv ad I seen on tv this morning. Hillary was putting down the people in Pennsylvania. I thought she was with the people and yet she is doing the same thing that she claimed Barack Obama was doing. After seeing this commercial, I am now voting for Obama. She is a real hypocrite.

I used to be a Democrat   April 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

There is no doubt that Obama is a hipocrite and there is no doubt that Obama won't be the next President.

Ooooo Ouch!   April 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

The FACT is, Clinton is a LIAR and the GOP will use "sniper fire" against her in the general.

Good news, Hillary has no chance at this point of winning the democratic nomination. So this won't be an issue.

Grif   April 19th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

Go Girl… Hit him where it Hurt's the most…When you Love Yourself, as much, Has he doe's. "Strutting His Stuff"….. Elite…. Boy! Don't the rest of you Black's, wish you were up here with me?????

kai joe   April 19th, 2008 6:17 pm ET

I am not american .I am a democrat and supporter of Obama . but let me say one thing very loudly: I prefer McCain to Hillary. If you hear the name of McCain , you know whom you have to do with. Hillary is a very dangerous person .She is unfair , she has been lying the whole time, she behaves like an enemy to Obama, she is personely and politicaly unbalanced and off of her balance ,she is power addicted ,she is mentaly sick , she unfairly abuses every single word in order to make an enemy of Obama, she does everything regardless of the demages she sets up to the party and the country in order to win the election.
I don't know why Dems like Gore , Carter, Pelosi have been waiting so long? they have to interfer and brusch away the ´whole Clinton era .Clintons are disused.
Obama and his ideas are the only hope we have in this epoch of time.He will surely change a lot of things. You know why? because he has already changed some important things.look at young people , look at the new hope that people have, look at the amazing interests that people show for the future of their country .All these will be ended if Hillary has the wheels. God, don't let it happen please.
I think the future of our world will be decided in this election. It is very important for people all around the world that Barack Obama should be the next president of the USA.All people who want to have a world in peace , in equality , in freedom, in liberty are on Barack's side .The rest are more or less on the side of Hillary or McCain. That is the truth that Hillary belongs to the old establishment. She have been trying to win no matter on whose cost and how .Yes , she is experienced but in what? She is experienced in hushing up , in sending innocent soldiers to a war which has helped to strengthen the terrorists and spread terrorism in many countries. Hillary will lie much more in order to put Barack and his movement into affliction and distress. She is a master of doing so. She learnt it in the old establishment.
Please be careful.

Cody   April 19th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

. . .Blame it on Bill.

Will   April 19th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

Uhm yea…pretending someone may be a terrorists, worse than Bush on no real grounds… is just as bad is pointing out a straight up lie in which a person is joking about is comparable?

HH   April 19th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

Cant take the heat get out of the kitchen.

Times up BILLARY its time for you to go.

Hillary Lies!   April 19th, 2008 6:16 pm ET

Look look, he's just a bad as me!!! Except Hillary, there's a big difference between a surrogate bringing up and the candidate himself rubbing your flaws in your face as you like to do whenever the opportunity arises. I'm so glad your race is almost over!

mjaber   April 19th, 2008 6:15 pm ET

Another one of Hillary's lies…

Clinton for President   April 19th, 2008 6:15 pm ET

Obama is just the opposite of what he speaks about. Huge double standard and the same washington politics. Obama has lost my vote in November. He has proven that he will go to the lowest level to get a nomination. Well he just lost one.

bernj   April 19th, 2008 6:14 pm ET

Yeah yeah yeah.

The fat lady is tuning up Hillary…..hear her?
