New Obama ad takes aim at Clinton over health care.

YORK, Pennsylvania (CNN) – Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s campaign battled Saturday over television attack ads on the issue of health care.

Obama launched an ad in Pennsylvania Saturday criticizing Clinton’s universal health care plan.

“I just heard that my opponent has put up an ad attacking my health care plan, which is kind of curious, because my plan covers everybody, and his leaves out 15 million people, leaves them out in the cold,” Clinton told an outdoor audience here.

The Obama campaign responded to the New York senator’s criticism by pointing to an ad produced by a pro-Clinton 527 that makes the same claims about his health care plan as she does.

Obama’s ad, titled “Afford,” re-hashes critiques he has made against Clinton’s plan since last year, mainly that her plan forces people to buy health care even if they can’t afford to do so. The ad also suggests Clinton will garnish wages to pay for the plan.

“Instead of attacking the problem, he chose to attack my solution. I don’t think that we can just make speech about this,” Clinton continued. “We have to have a plan that we can actually implement that will provide quality affordable health care. That’s what I’ve been fighting for 15 years and that’s what I will fight for as your president.”

The Obama campaign circulated a script of an ad sponsored by the American Leadership Project. “Hillary Clinton’s healthcare plan would help every American get affordable, quality healthcare. Barack Obama’s plan would leave as many as 15 million Americans uncovered…”

“So you would either be one of the millions without coverage, or you’ll keep paying more to provide emergency healthcare for the millions of uninsured. Call Barack Obama and tell him to support healthcare for all Americans,” says the announcer in the 30-second spot.

“Given that they have been engaging in a self-professed 'kitchen sink' strategy that Senator Clinton describes as 'the fun part,' their charges today are laughable,” said Obama adviser Hari Sevugan. “While they continue to employ the say-and-do-anything tactics of the past, Senator Obama is going to focus on the issues that are affecting the American people.”

Universal health care is the only logical answer for our broken system, thanks to Richard Nixon. The scare tactics of calling it socialized medicine is propaganda from those who stand to loose a lot of money. London and Canada have such health care and their citizens live longer than US citizens. Truly, greed runs this nation. The health and well being of the people don't measure up against the root of all evil, MONEY.

    Hillary's plan is better.

Sen Obama doesn't care for small-town "bitter" Americans, thats why he is spending his time and money only on places where he gets votes.

Sen Obama, please try to get connected to the rest of the country.

I am one of the Americans who is left out of Obama's health care plan.

It is easier to attack his opponent's plan when his plan does not include everyone.

Sorry Barach, I am voting for Hillary. It's a matter of life and death for me!

Just hand Obama a tissue; he does not like tough games, unless he is wielding the stick.

Man, watching Obama on the news tonight (Sat.) he is really getting arrogant. McCain is looking better and better each day. This race, besides policies is, also, about a person's character. I am not happy with Obama's attitude, like swipping off on his shoulder, that was priceless so immature. This democrat can not vote for someone who looks down at people.

Yea, Obama wants to focus on the "issues" because he doesn't want people to know his character. Think about it, Kerry, Mondale and Dukakis did not lose because of the issues, they lost because of their "character" as portrayed by their opponents.

Face it y'all! Not everybody needs health care. So why would the Clinton camp force it on those who are comfortable with what they already have? That brings me to the poor continues to pay for the rich and famous while only getting pittance type service.
Obama says that I will get a quality health plan comparable to what he has now. If I have to put up an extra $1 for the service then why not get the best for my buck?
Down to the final stretch! What won't Hillary and Billary do to shipwreck what they cannot have?!! This madness has got to stop for the sake of humane treatment.
IS there any sense of civility with the Clintons? The days of the "plantation master" has long been gone!
OBAMA is the man for 2008

By the way, I thought Obama was all about change, tired of the Washington politics. If you're so tired how are you going to beat Mccain?

P.S You have a long way to go buudy, no time to be tired when you're running for the Presidency.

So which is it Hillary? He doesn't know how to handle 'Republican tactics" like you do or he is on the attack? You are simply never satisfied. But good for you Barack! Your ads are excellent. Hillary just doesn't understand, they (the Clinton machine) didn't see you coming. Didn't you know, YOU could be Chelsea's VP for when she runs for office?

Obama supporters are arrogant and elitist just like Obama. Where Obama get the idea of Healthcare Plan? He adoped most of plan from Hillary's Healthcare Plan which made 15 years ago. I just couldn't believe Obama's fabrication. He can buy the media with money but he can't buy voters, they are smarter than Obama and his supporters. Pennsylvania will show them who is ready for next President, and NC, IN, KY, WV, OR, MT and SD. Go Hillary.

Obama you are weak... the debate proved it... you cried foul for three days about it... a real leader would have moved on... I do not want someone in the White House that is not tough enough to answer questions from a journalist...

    Wake up democrats!!!

  23. Former Clinton Supporter

DUH! Sen. Obama is not 'attacking' Hillary he is pointing out the flaws with her socalled healthcare plan! It is FLAWED and he is making it clear to the folks who dont know! Its part of dealing with the issue in letting people know how HE (Sen Obama) is going to address the healthcare issue once he is in office.
The funnt part is the day after Wed debate ~ Hillary TOTALLY copied Sen. Obama's action plan on the war 'The President gives the orders the Generals follow' THAT WAS A RIP OFF FROM SEN. OBAMA!
This woman has no substance and those Hillary supporers who seen the debate and heard what she said the next day (copying his plan of action) if you dont have a concience and sensability to see that Hillary is not fit for the Presidency you are truly lambs to the slaughter!

I think I am a little confused when Senator Clinton says Obama gives "speeches". Doesn't she give speeches? When she attacks him, she is giving a speech. Guess being "60" does mess up your mind!!!!
