And Ayers, who did some unsavorable things in his 20s, also has worked effortlessly to bring reform in poor Chicago schools. Ayers never killed anyone, despite Clinton's weak claim. Nonetheless, Obama's ties to Ayers are pretty minor. These tit-for-tat accussations border on the ridiculous.

How old was Obama when this Ayers guy when he made the remarks of blowing something up? I believe 8 or 9 years old. I hold you more responsible for the actions or lack there of actions against Mr. Ayers and the Weatherman Underground Organization. You were more in a positions to do something about it than Senator Obama. Secondly whatever it was the organization done wasn't too bad CLINTONS gave a pardon two of the Weatherman Underground organization members. Get a life and get over it. The knit picking want work. Good lord I hate that I'm agreeing with McCain at this point. I just really hate the fact that Obama's campaign gets away with everything it does. Once again, and for the umpteenth time, his campaign's response to a controversial question is just "same old politics". I am just so sick of this non-response and the way he weasel's out of everything. Mind you, it's a brilliant campaign tactic that has worked well, but it does not fly with me. That said, I will not vote for McCain. I wish it would be Hillary but I will vote democratic no matter what.

I loved John McCain and I really miss him... he was one man who stood against destructive politics because they had been so used so viciously against him. He was the first to condemn the Swift Boat ads. He fought against torture. Now he's simply a Bush creature.

Obama was 9 during the anti-war movement. He served on a board with Ayers that met 4 times a year and met at his house once. Obama has said that he thinks the acts were despicable. If the Republicans are going to try to start another McCarthy era witch-hunt, they are going to be sorry.

And if John McCain want to talk about the "company we keep", let's start with the Keating Five? How many billion dollars did that cost American tax payers? Or Charlie Black, McCain's chief advisor, who sponsored a crowning AT the United States capitol for the Reverend Sun Myong Moon in 2004?

I used to like McCain but no more. I guess he sold his soul this time around running for president. It's unfortunate. He used to not stoop to such standards. I was hoping he could bring back some credibility and honor to the republican party and the white house. I am sorry but being patriotic, according to McCain, and unfortunately, the majority of Americans is to blindly support and endorse everything, literarily everything that the establishment in this country does in the world. Not a single attempt to analyze consequences. In this respect Obama fortunately is unpatriotic. He does’t wave the flag jumping up and down screaming on the top of his lungs that whatever we do is good simply based on the fact that God, supposedly blesses America and conferred our absolute moral superiority, and that alone absolves US for the eternity to come.

Finally somebody, if elected, will thinks in terms of “real politik” rather then ideological superiority. Germany, 20th century, 1933-1945 this is where the ideology of “moral superiority” leads. Do we want to end up there…your choice.

Even FOX NEWS has an article calling the Ayers relationship what it is... A NON ISSUE.

He happened to serve on a charity board with him (and many other people) and when the incumbent retiring state senator who was helping Obama back then was introducing him around town at a series of meet and greets, happened to have one held at Ayers house.

Obama didn't set it up, Obama didn't work with Ayers for the event... It just HAPPENED to be held there.
